They spend time listening to what we want and got us the perfect design that we were happy with and then gave us both exactly what we wanted. I can't recommend them enough. I came here for a nose piercing. I did my second nostril piercing, the lady named Maddie left it crooked. She also used a stud with a cork that didn't fit my nose, which left it infected. I called back to see if she could at least remove it, she gave me no sympathy and wouldn't remove it. She also used my own piercing to pierce my earlobe, which I just learned is illegal. She overpriced me and was ruthless. I truly never hope bad things on people or places, but I hope this place shuts down for its disservice to amador county. Go to Sacramento for better service and cheaper work. read more

My wife got her belly button pierced here and asked me to pass along her review . After two kids she got her belly button pierced twice (both times she had to take it out and it closed) so there was a lot of scar tissue and she was nervous . Unfortunately she can't remember the name of the girl that pierced her belly button but she said it was literally painless. She didn't feel a thing and it's perfect. Likely that all these 3, 4, and 5 star ratings are Fat Cat employees? 0 Stars for customer service! 0 Stars for professionalism! 0 Stars for competence! (((Results from snake bite ring piercing))) Tries it took Richard the piercer to do 1 lip ring: 4! Was he able to put the rings in?: NO! - He had to use studs We're they even?: NO! Would they refund for the terrible job?: NO! - The owner Sean refused while the piercer Richard had to nearly be forced to apologize to me! This is not my 1st piercing, 2nd, or even 3rd, it is my 9th piercing and this place was bu far the worst I have ever experienced. I would give them a 0 star rating if I could. They did my lip/snake bites, the piercer (Richard I think it was) used the wrong needle, re-priced the same hole 4 times because he was inept, and had me bleeding for hours. I was swollen and black and blue for 2 weeks. These guys apparently employ inexperienced staff. We are going to actually pay money out of our pocket to place a review in the local news papers as to this lousy establishments gross negligence. I went to Fat Cat Tattoo to get my nose pierced. This was my first face piercing. I found the process to be pretty quick and a lot less painful than had I expected. The woman who did my piercing was very professional and provided me with the information needed to take care of my new piercing. I went right before COVID-19 had hit and the environment appeared clean and sterile. I took care of the piercing as instructed and it is now almost a year later and it seems to have healed well. I waited a little longer than told to switch the piercing out as I could tell it wasn't quite ready yet, but I'm now able to switch it out to a lot of fun rings and studs. I was given a white crystal screw stud to start out with which kept it in place nicely. I now use a bone-style stud as my go-to which I prefer as it's easier to clean and take out. Based on my experience I would happily go back when I decide to get another piercing. read more

Sean, the owner, is a true professional and a dedicated artist. He knows his craft better than almost anyone I've ever seen, and I've got a few tats from different locations. He takes the time to make sure your custom piece is just as you want it. He was willing to make a fairly substantial last minute change when I asked him to, and there was no grumbling or anything. He is really the right guy for this job. He loves his art and it shows. I can't really speak to the skill or competence of anyone else at the shop, since he is the only one I've worked with closely, but I can certainly tell you that Sean is top notch. He works efficiently and methodically, and does so with a steady skillful hand. His pricing is fair (we had to take a somewhat extended break during my tat and he took that into account when we settled after it was done). He has a great eye for color and light, and will bring your tattoo idea to life. I'll be back -- I've already scheduled another session with him next week! First off...let me start off by saying...PLEASE people...PLEASE! Pay attention to who's stabbing you with a motorized needle...placing a foreign object into your blood stream for hours is serious business...Do your research. A bad tattoo today will be an even WORSE tattoo 20 years from now. I know that tats are fun...and being spontaneous is great- but really? Take your time- look at past work...get referrals! That being said, I went to GEO at FatCat for just some basic script writing...his script is beautiful and elegant- he did a great job. when I asked him if he could fix another 'script' tattoo that I've had for 14 years he told me that the tattoo was run together too much- and that nothing could really help it. I got the tat when I was 17 in my girlfriend's bedroom by a homie...:)(I obviously speak from experience when I say to choose wisely) Instead, I opted to start on some cover-up work. GEO took a pic of my back, we tossed some ideas around and I went home. I contacted him and gave him other ideas...he came up with a drawing of some flowers. They looked harmless enough. When he finished the tat, after all of the shading, it looked realllly pretty. I liked it just the way it was. I was in no way ready for the fill-in. After he colored it in...the flowers are just GORGEOUS....the background is SO realistic. It is truly, truly art. There are other tattoo artists there that seem to be very good artists, as well. I've been there 3 times and have seen some amazing work being done. BF pointed out that most of the phone calls coming in seemed to be for Geo...and since I've let him stick me for hours, I assume it's for a good reason :) They have a piercer on staff- he's done some sick piercings....the shop is always busy so I assume that people know what's up. I wish I could just keep adding on the stars. First off, this is an amazing, clean, friendly (the list can go on and on) establishment. Sean the owner is great and is very helpful with giving you exactly what you want. About a year ago he did some work on my foot and it came out perfect! I've had so many compliments. Although my piece is fairly small, my honey has gotten all of his larger ones done by Sean and they are amazing. You wouldn't think that they were done years ago. Not too much fading and the lines are very clear. We will now only go to Sean or Gina, the other fabulous artist, for any work done. Shop was clean, and nice. I went in originally to get my tongue pierced, and instead of just taking my money and putting me in danger, Johnny informed me that my tongue was to short to pierce. That right there let me me know that he wasn't just in it for the money. Hes a great piercer. My 11 year old brother had his ears pierced by Johnny as well as my little sisters ears. Gina is our artist and we love her and her work. she has a good sense of colour and artistry, and loves to do unusual stuff. richard does the piercing and i've been most happy with his work, too. seems like lots of people just come in off the street for someone's name on them (so lame) and they don't seem to actually know what they want. tattoo artists like doing something original and different, so if you're thinking of getting a tattoo, make it meaningful and beautiful and fun for both you and whoever does the tattoo. i can highly recommend Gina. definitely contact her if you're thinking of getting tattooed. read more

My husband and I had gotten matching tattoos from Sean who was working at the FCT in Citrus Heights in 2008. He had done a terrific job and we were very pleased to have found such a great artist with a walk in appointment. Recently I had been looking for a particular style of tattoo at other shops and was having an extremely difficult time getting an appointment in a timely manner with a reliable artist. Then I remembered Sean from many years ago and tracked him down. I called Sean Tuesday at his shop in Sutter Creek and was able to get an appointment the following evening after I got off work. The shop is open until 8 and I felt bad for making an appointment so late but Sean was very accomodating. He actually remembered the tattoo he had done for me 8 years ago! I had a simple design this time but wanted some input from him on the coloring. He had good ideas but was careful to make sure it was what I wanted as well. The tattoo went very smoothly and he was very gentle and made what could have been a very sensitive area (inner bicep) practically painless. His receptionist was very friendly and Richard the piercer was there as well. Richard was thoughtful and put on music he knew I would enjoy. To top it off the tattoo was about half the price I was expecting, so I tipped Sean the rest. He was definitely worth it! I will absolutely be back. I have had two piercings here. Nose nd tongue. Richard pierced my tongue nd he told me how it was gonna feel nd where he was gonna place it nd why. He used clean needles, wore gloves, nd was very professional. Afterwards, he let me see it, told me how to keep it clean nd the healing time nd told me what I could nd couldn't eat. In addition to telling me everything I needed to know, he gave me paperwork on how to keep it clean nd such. Price was very reasonable nd time there was socialable. The next piercing, my nose, was done by his apprentice who gave me the option of having her do it or having Richard do it. I had no problem with her doing it, especially if she was being trained by the best. She made a dot on where she was gonna place it nd hit it right on the spot. It healed quicker than most nd I so pleased nd happy. Told me everything I needed to know nd gave me paperwork..I am hoping to get a tattoo here this weekend with a friend, but not sure on the price so I'll be letting ya'll know!! :) I recommend this place, most definitely. :) read more

Just got my septum pierced here today. I was so nervous because I've heard horror stories, but the piercer didn't hit any cartilage and it's was minimally painful.
