Larry you da man!! Its been forever since I've had my ears pierced. Lets just say I had my ears pierced when everyone just went to Claire's. No piercing gun here done by a teenager. Larry took about 20 minutes just making sure everything was perfect before my piercing. I appreciate his dedication! He also was very honest when I asked for an additional piercing. Because he didn't have the right earing he didn't recommend. He was very detailed even when it came to after care. read more

Me and a friend went in to get piercings. Both of our piercings got infected. We went to another shop to have them looked at and well guess what.... We were both pierced with the wrong jewelry for our ears and wrong size jewelry. What a careless mistake. I would never go back and never recommend this unprofessional and inexperienced establishment. read more

Very clean And amazing service. Haley is amazing. Piercings are done very professionally.

I came in for a navel piercing around the second week of July. I knew something was off when it was done; the young lady piercing me said that she was putting a longer bar in to accommodate for swelling, but it did not seem long at all and also had very small balls at either end. I didn't say anything as I'm am not a piercer and did not want to interfere. Now, a month later, I had it changed due to irritation. It turns out that she pierced my belly button with a bar that is meant for your eyebrow. The customer service was nice, but this was a big mistake made at the hands of people in charge of permanent changes to the bodies of others. On the left is an actual navel bar. On the right is the eyebrow bar I was pierced with. I paid 60 dollars with a 20 dollar tip. read more

Larry did my piercings and he was amazing! We had a wonderful conversation and he kept my mind off the pain. I will definitely be back for any future piercings. read more

We went in for my 6 year olds ear piercing and we were so happy with the experience! The awesome part about this tattoo parlor is that they have two piercers available so that they can do both ears at once which is great when you have a kid that's a little hesitant to be pierced. Larry was great in reassuring my daughter she was in control and that if she didn't like any part of it she could stop any time. 10/10 recommend! read more

Had a great experience. I was a walk in and I got a tattoo by Sabrina and my nose pierced by Larry! Excellent customer service! Both extremely helpful with placement and aftercare. If you're looking for a tattoo or piercing come here! read more

I've come here to get a few piercings in the past like my cartilage, belly button, and recently just got my tongue piercing here. I believe I had Larry, and he talked me through the entire process, how to take care of it, and was just overall very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in there is very welcoming and it has very nice decorations. 5 stars, would highly recommend. read more

I shopped around for my tattoo. This one was special and I wanted it done right. I took my concept to Fine Line and met with Dave. He drew it up and it was obvious we were on the same page. He nailed it. But texture, shading, and color are a whole different thing. After much worry and concern I figured if he could conceive my concept in the drawing he probably had good vision on the rest. Along came tattoo day. Dave, you nailed it again! Love my new tat! Great art, color, depth, shading, etc. Four hours in the chair, every minute a great experience. Great shop!!! read more

Dave did such a wonderful job. I messaged the shop via Facebook to inquire about having a memorial tattoo done on my forearm. They got back to me right away. I made an appointment with Dave the owner of the shop. He had the outline done prior to my arrival and did the finishing touches on the design. The shop was clean and comfortable. I would and will definitely go again and recommend the shop to all my friends. read more

Fine Line Tattoo is the best in town. We have used Dave, Graham, and Jake for many years. All if them put out quality work that lasts a lifetime. Every time we've been in, the shop is always very clean and there is a ton of knowledge shared between the artists. On our last visit, Graham did an awesome job for us on a memorial tattoo a bunch of us wanted done. He cranked out 9 quality pieces of art in just over 8 hours. He was patient and understanding to our needs and was not afraid to give his opinion on what he thought would work best a in regards to size and placement. Keep up the great work guys!!! read more

Had my nose pierced by the women here who unfortunately I forgot her name - she was super nice, friendly and caring in piercing my nose :)

BEST PIERCING EXPERIENCE - EVER. It took about 15 minutes to sterilize everything because they autoclave their jewelry, which no other local shop does. I felt so secure being there knowing that it was being done professionally and hygienically. This was the fifth time I've had my nosed pierced and it feels better, is healing better, and looks better than any other piercing. The best thing about fine line is the owner Dave. He was so funny, relatable, and just great to be around. I really wanted a hoop ring and he refused to do it because he knew it would hurt my nose and cause it to not heal correctly. As much as I wanted it, he was stern that it would not be right for me, even though he would have made money selling me the extra jewelry. That's an honest man and good business - I love that. Absolutely recommend for any of your piercing/tattoo needs. :) read more

This is regarding the piercings. I have gotten a few piercings here and I've never had a complaint, besides ONE ocassion. I have gotten some piercings at other shops and I have never been satisfied. Although, it costs $40 for one piercing, it's beyond worth it. They use clamps, which I prefer. They're ALWAYS clean and use sterile needles and what not. Fine Line is the best place for piercings here in El Dorado County, in my opinion. read more

I first went here about a year and a half ago to get my nose pierced. The guy who did it (I think his name was like Graham or something?) was very professional and I felt comfortable there. Plus, about a month later I was trying to change the piercing and couldn't get it back in, so I went back and he stifled a laugh and put it back in for me. It was nice of him and he didn't make me feel like a total moron :) Then about a year ago I had a tattoo done by the owner (Dan, I believe). He was friendly and did a really good job. He didn't even get annoyed when I had him wipe off and reposition the stamp thing of the tattoo multiple times! I was very happy with this place, and I would definitely come back to them! read more

Great shop and great experience. The shop is clean, the tattooers are friendly and the tattoo I got turned out better than I expected! I came in on a whim yesterday to get a finger tattoo. Graham was able to squeeze me in and drew up the perfect tattoo based off of the two reference pictures I showed him. He had a light touch, the lines are super clean and it's exactly what I wanted. Their shop minimum is not bad and I was in and out of there in no time! I highly recommend stopping by to check them out and get some work done! read more

I got my first tattoo here today and all the guys were very nice and funny. They were more than willing to work with my sister and I to figure out the exact details we hadn't thought about, and the environment was clean and comfortable. Graham did a great job and I would definitely recommend him and this shop. read more

Fine Line Tattoo, beautifully drew and executed a very custom piece for me. I had two reference pictures and a very detailed description. I was able to get exactly what I envisioned. The atmosphere was very welcoming. Since my original above review from January, I have been back to Fine Line a few more times, they did an excellent cover-up and a few more pieces. What impressed very much about last time was that nearly a capful of black ink was used on one of my most recent work and not only was the design and texturing brilliant, but I barely even had any healing to do. As with before, I am very pleased with my experiences and look forward to next time. read more

This was all around the best experience I've ever had at a tattoo shop. I did a lot of research before I chose this shop to get my nose pierced at and I'm glad I did. All of the employees were incredibly kind and it was a very relaxed atmosphere, not to mention the shop was spotless. I was pretty nervous because my past piercing experiences have been horrid, but Dave made it a great experience. He was knowledgable, professional and made the whole thing quick and relatively painless. I watched him pierce a young girl's ears (with an adult there, of course) before I got my piercing and he was great with her as well. My piercing is healing really well and I'll definitely be back for my next tattoo! read more

Very professional, kind, honest and talented artists here. I came in as a walk in for a small tattoo on my wrist. It was a great experience. He advised me on what would look best on the ideas I had, and didn't mind re positioning it until I fell in love. I can't wait to plan another tattoo because I know this is the place I will be going! read more

Everyone at Fine Line is a class act, and I would highly recommend it as I had a great experience. I went in to get my very first tattoo, and had a wonderful experience working with Mikey to get that done. He drew up several iterations of what I had in mind, and ended up helping me make a decision on final size, placement, and minor details. After he was done, he even went back and added a few highlights and shadings that made it really come alive. Mikey's expertise ranges to various styles and subjects, but I chose him in part due to how incredible his floral work is. I got a California Poppy, and get compliments on it frequently. Thanks again, Mikey! I hope to come back one day! :) read more

After my 11 yo daughter asked to get her ears pierced for her birthday I immediately thought back to my own experience of earring guns at Claire's at the mall, typically, and certainly in my case, operated by bored sales clerks with questionable sanitation habits. Determined not to put my own daughter through the horror of infected earlobes, I did some research and it turns out that needles are absolutely the way to go to avoid infection. After explaining the indelicate process to my lovely and sensitive daughter I thought for sure she would change her mind but she was determined to go through with it, so I searched the area for a place with high ratings. I am so happy that we found chose Fine Line T&P for her first piercing! The kind and courteous gentleman (Larry I believe) that we dealt with was absolutely the best. His philosophy of putting my daughter firmly in the driver's seat and reassuring her that she could change her mind at any time, exceeded even my high expectations for customer service. I am forever grateful and cannot recommend them highly enough. Also my daughter *loves* her newly pierced earlobes and has been excitedly showing them off to everyone she knows (and completely infection free and healing beautifully!). read more

I came here to get a touch up/fix....I got a celtic band done about 11 years ago and probably wasn't perfect in first place, but needless to say time had taken it's toll and pretty much looked like a faded black band of nothing around my ankle. I initially had gone to a tattoo place that I had been in past and gotten good results (Folsom but I wont mention location/name). I told them I just wanted to basically fix/touch up what I had or somehow cover up with another celtic band. I was told that it was barely do-able, and that if they did, would be a 6-7hour deal (which means $600-$700), and maybe even 2 sessions. This is a small, 1/2" wide band..... I came up here to Fine Line based on a friend's recommendation and was greeted by Dave, the owner, who immediately told me he could easily fix and make look good and that it would be about $200. I was sold just based on the confidence, so I made the appointment. Dave did an awesome job, and honestly better than I expected it to be able to be fixed based on what there was to work with. He took exactly what I had, but enhanced it and used highlighting to make it pop, but still in the black/white nature that it already was. I have a couple other older tattoos that need similar "fixes"/enhancements that I will definitely go back to Dave to work on. Thank you! read more

I came here to get my belly button pierced and I thought it was a little too high but thought he knew more than me. When I went with my friend to get Jets done the piercer said it was done wrong and my body will reject it in a year and I went to three other piercers and they all said the same. I had to take it out and let it heal to get it done right read more

I got my nose and second lobe piercings done here about 3 weeks ago now and it was absolutely one of the best experiences I've ever had. They are so welcoming there and the environment is very clean! I'm not having any issues with my piercings at all. Definitely recommend read more

I got my nose pierced at another piercing shop. It became infected and they didn't even put the piercing in right. I went in and was upset and just wanted help. I didn't know what to do anymore. She sat there and helped me for 30 min. (Can't remember her name) she told me that I should come back next week and if it got worse we would have to take it out if It gets better she wants me to come in every week so she can help me clean it. VERY NICE. so at the end I asked how much It would cost and I was told nothing she just wants to make sure it heals properly... SHE MADE MY WEEK, can't wait to see her next time. I selected Fine Line Tatto & Piercing because several of my family members have gone there and are very happy with their results. I'm 75 years-old and I have wanted to get my belly button piereced for a few years but I was nervous and kept putting it off. I finally decided to have it done Saturday. I was so happy that 1) it did not hurt--and still does not 2) The person who pierced me was gentle, professional and very nice and 3) The shop was clean and bright 4) It was done quickly and over before I knew it! I got my first tattoo done at Fine Line about 2 years ago by Jake. I gave him the picture of what I wanted, he sketched it out for me and I loved it. It was a black and white arrow, with small details in the shaft with leaves on the end; fairly simple, small and ONLY line work. I came in a few weeks later to actually have it tattooed on me and I was absolutely appalled at what he had done. Like I said, this was my first tattoo, so I wasn't sure how the whole process worked. We went back and forth a few times on the size & placement, and one we got it figured out we started the process. Without ever verifying with me first, he went ahead and shaded in the shaft of the arrow along with the leaves as well. The shading was so dark and heavy that it made all the details with in the shaft dissapear into the shading. At the time I didn't notice because I was just in so much pain from getting the tattoo, and just so excited to get my first tattoo; it wasn't until a few days later after it had healed that I noticed it. Unfortunately, tattoos are PERMANENT and there was nothing that I could do about it obviously, but live with a tattoo that I absolutely HATE for the rest of my life that literally just looks like a giant black blob. I just think that considering tattoos are permanent, Jake should have been very clear about what he was tattooing on me and not veered from the sketch that I ok'ed. read more
