Started with the pilaff. Probably my least favorite meat of the day but it was plentiful, so tender, and the rest of the rice dish were delicious. Huge portion. I'm such a big fan of manti and almost always enjoy them, but these were even better than most. Plump, juice, packed with meat. Enjoyed the sauce it came with, as well. Finally, lamb rib kebab and lyulya kebab were great. I preferred the latter and may next time opt for the ribs without the fat, but they were both still great. Service was lovely, you can tell they care about the experience. Felt like we were in someone's home eating a home-cooked meal. If we lived in the area we definitely would consider coming back.

Unfortunately, the service was the complete opposite. From the moment I walked in, the female staff at the register were unwelcoming and had a bad attitude. It made the experience uncomfortable, especially since I was so excited to try Georgian food for the first time. The other down side the food was oily , which didn't take away from food experience or make it bad but ... The takeout packaging also needs work. The food leaked badly and left oil all over my work suit and my soda can so my coke tasted like the food, even though I kept the bag upright. And of course no napkins given!! Amazing food, but the service and packaging really take away from what could have been a great experience.

Our server was not having it that night. From the moment we walked in to the minute we left, we felt like he was having a bad day and couldn't have been more annoyed with every single customer's presence. Not a great feel. Needless to say, service left wanting more. Would not return here just so I wouldn't have to interact with that waiter. Ambiance is pleasant. The establishment aims to provide a more upscale vibe, even if customers are dinning super casually on a Thursday night. $28 Mongolian beef appetizer was tasty--a bit too dry--more sweet sauce would've been in order. The portion was big--good to share amongst several people. The fact that an appetizer costs as much as an entree is nuts to me. $54 for 8 oz. Filet Mignon entree was standard steak house price but this establishment is not a steakhouse. Both our fillets were cooked to the temps we ordered. The meat was good quality. However. The entire dish was BLAND. Zero salt or seasoning in anything. What? Did the chef forget to add salt to everything?? The sauce would've been great if it was seasoned and had taste. Same goes for potatoes gratin and mushrooms and meat. This was bizarre. How do you not season food? $15 napoleon was okay. Not the best and not the worst I had. The cream was too heavy on the eggs and more of a custard consistency, not the traditional Russian napoleon kind. Big piece, though, so it's good to share amongst several people after a filling dinner. Would I return? For such prices, bad service, and bland food--no. Spend your money elsewhere.

You had a tough week and you are in the mood of going heavy alcohol and food wise. Georgian cuisine...is...hangover cuisine. Take a look at the menu and you will understand. The cheese platter is served with no condiments...and it is veeeeery salty...it is just how it is. A side of fruits or some type of confit or even honey would have been amazing, but it is not a thing in Georgia...according to ChatGPT. On the plus side...you won't feel the effects of the alcohol. It will hamper the booze...you won't throw up, guaranteed. The salt and the fat will save you. I was planning on drinking their wine and I'm happy I did. I dont know what I drank, but the fact that I drank a UNESCO designated wine, makes me feel proud of myself. I got the dumplings; they are massive and delicious...but again...no condiments...just straight dumplings. No dipping sauce, nothing. It is not customary in Georgia and that's that. Thick dough, flavorful beef filling, and of course lots of wine to wash it all down...I am happy enough. That's all I was in the mood for really. Yes, if I am in the neighborhood again, I would return... I appreciated that they allowed me in, despite wearing shorts and a sweaty t-shirt, and sneakers. Normally restaurants are finicky about the dress code. Waiter was exquisite, worth the tip. The food is excellent don't get me wrong. And if you have kids, they will love it. What kid doesn't like fatty and salty food! Especially after a day at the beach. Reservations are recommended. The chicken stew....it was great but very bony. They dont debone the chicken, so it is annoying to eat. You have tiny bones to deal with. Just a caveat.

There is more I could write here, but I think getting to the point here is better than me droning on and on about a cuisine that I am still fairly new to. The service is friendly as well. I would just be careful as seating is limited and it does get busy, which does mean people agree and think the food is good here. Safe to say I think I am back in the New York Groove.
