Good value for breakfast too! $11 for two! Glad this place is walking distance from our house! You deserve FIVE STARS!! Please! I love the place. I really do. We come for the breakfast burritos. Usually drive thru but lately coming inside. The breakfast burritos are really good and the green chili is outstanding. I recommend extra chili inside. Chorizo or bacon can't go wrong. The place is a little run down but it's not like they have millions to upgrade. Anyway... Pretty much my closest go-to burrito. I'll go here every few weeks. Pretty close to a San Diego style California burrito. I'm all about the "colorado" burrito. Fries belong in a burrito. Are they greasy and soggy? Absolutely! That's kind of the point. It's a very solid burrito, but I have definitely had slightly better. Tortillas are clearly fresh. Breakfast burritos are delicious. Everything I have gone over the last two years, which has been less & less, there is always hair in my food and the portion sizes are inconsistent . I wrote a 'One Star' review a year ago because of how HORRIBLE the customer service was. I've asked myself several times since then, "Why do I come back here?" I mainly come back because of the convenience of a drive-thru window. The food is okay, but there is definitely better out there. I come here every Sunday morning to get breakfast burritos. To their credit the one lady working the drive-thru window on Sunday mornings has improved in the customer service department. I think it's due to getting to know me because, like I said, I come here every Sunday morning. I went there a couple days ago and the customer service was THREE TIMES WORSE than what I experienced a year ago that prompted me to write the review then. I had asked for 10 cups of their red sauce and 5 cups of their green sauce because I was ordering for more than just myself. The gentleman working the drive-thru gave me four cups of red sauce and one cup of green sauce. When I saw that he had not given me what I had asked for (keep in mind that I even offered to pay for the sauce) he said, "I put the extra in the bag." I told him that he had not put what I asked for and if I could have more. He said, "You have enough. If you want more you can come inside and make your own cups of sauce." I told him that I come here every week and spend a lot of money at this restaurant. The gentleman then reached where the cups of sauce was, took two handfuls of them and threw the extra sauce at me out the drive-thru window. 1 Star (sigh) I don't enjoy writing poor reviews especially on small businesses but in this situation it's warranted. This review is totally based on service!I don't live in the area but I had seen their sign a time or two prior to our visit. Burritos sounded like a good idea to both of us. It was about 830 am on a Saturday. The joint was clean and had ample seating. We walked up to the register the young guy at the counter quietly greeted us. We chatted a little about what sounded good and then settled on a couple burritos. I ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon egg potatoes beans yum. Hubby ordered a chicken burrito smothered with a side of chicharrón. DOWN HILL FROM HERE. My burrito was just what I ordered and for the record it had a good flavor. My hubs had a different experience the burrito was not smothered. I went back in and young lady now at the front register barely spoke I told her we ordered a smothered burrito but it came with no green chili first she just starred at me then she finally said we'll bring it back and I'll take it back there and put chili on it. Having worked in restaurants I know that's not really sanitary so I suggested how bout you just give me a side cup the solution worked just fine. Went back to the car he said and there's were no chicharrón, on this burrito. He went back in and came out about 5 min later saying he was told that even though he ordered it (it was on the receipt)he didn't get charged for some reason so they decided not to put it on. So I went back in my 3rd time discussed with the guy at the register he was apologetic and said I had to pay for the side of chicharrón .. and he also offered to just make an all new burrito just the way it was ordered! Wow nice kid quite but professional and knew how to make a bad first impression right. I accepted his offer and paid. How in the...... what in the...... HEY YELP!!!! how is this a 4-star rated restaurant? I was searching for something that served Mexican food nearby. Tata's popped up and I thought, cool, lets try it!!!! Wow, what a mistake. I ordered a Colorado Burrito and 3 Rolled Tacos (they're just Taquitos). My wife got some combo plate. The young guy taking our order was really friendly. He was the only nice part about this place and the reason its not a 1-star. Anyway, my taquitos were definitely frozen before they cooked them for me. The were tasteless. They were also mostly soggy, except for the edges which were a nice transition of chewy to so hard I could barely break it off. I just tossed the 2.5 left after I'd taken a bite of the first. So, thankfully, I order a burrito too, right!? Wrong. The burrito was tasteless, the meat was just boiled chunks of beef with no seasoning likely. Terrible food, but wait.... it gets better. My wife got a combo plate that included some rice and beans. After her first bite, she told me that her rice tasted like cigarette ashes. I gave her one of those looks, like.... come on.... be serious, cigarette ashes? That's a little outlandish I thought. So, I grabbed my fork and took a healthy scoop of rice. BOOM the most distinct, profound taste of cigarette smoke/ashes. What..... the...... F... I used to go here a lot in the past. matter of a fact every weekend. Something changed and the Burritos are not as good. I get the chorizo smothered. The first and last part of the flour tortilla, maybe first inch to inch and half had no filling. Then, the green chili that you pay extra for was very small and in the past had plenty. The green Chile is very good, that is why I get it smothered. The amount I paid , it wasn't worth it. Sorry, I try to keep thing in my neighbor hood busy and buy local buy I can not.
