At the restaurant, we decided to try the basic Pad Thai and then the chicken fried rice. It was yummy but not as big of portions as I've had other Thai restaurants. (But that was ok, we didn't need leftovers anyway.) I gave only three & 1/2 stars for the following reasons. 1. Inside felt "dated" and a bit forgotten (see pics) 2. The service was "ok" I was hoping for more conversation or interest in us. 3. The area outside was very dark. It looked like the entire block was closed! 4. The curry puffs were a little expensive at $11.95 for 3 of them. (So we didn't get them) On a positive note, a nice touch was the soft music playing and the program on the tv showing beautiful images of Thailand. (See pics). All in all, we will be back to try our favorite curry puffs and maybe some egg rolls.

We walked in shortly after opening, and though there was already a table seated, it was eerily quiet. There is no music or ambiance, which is odd with the high ceilings and open concept of the layout. We were greeted and sat near the window (which we requested, preferring to sit near the light, as the inside the sort of dark) and we sat for a while before they visited our table and asked for our drink order. Once ordered, the drinks came relatively quickly. We also ordered the coconut shrimp, which was probably the best dish that we had here. We sat near the front window for the natural light, as it was a lovely day. The food took an inordinately long time to come out and there is no music or anything else, so it was very awkward and quiet. Once our food came, we had a very hard time enjoying it because there was 6-7 flies buzzing around us and trying to land on our food. It was very distracting and frustrating. What we did eat was sort of bland and the rice was sort of dry... tasted a bit like it had been reheated in a microwave. 2 stars because the young woman who served us was very nice and the Thai iced tea we had was delicious in addition to the shrimp. We won't go out of our way to eat here again. Hopefully they get the fly issue under control.

I had the #24 which is dry garlic beef with a side of rice. It definitely was dry due to preparation but the flavor was amazing with fried garlic pieces. I've always enjoyed this place. It's rarely open which is super hard but it's so worth it when you do try it. Best Thai flavor I've gotten and I've tried almost every Thai place in the surrounding area. This place takes the cake! Used to go to the Shelton one a lot unfortunately it closed down but they would give you huge portions of food and the quality was amazing. The staff are super nice.
