How did I not know this was here?! I'm only coming here for Chinese food until I've tried more of the menu. The chicken proteins are high-quality; the veggie dumplings are tasty quick bites; the front of house is congenial and accommodating. The best dish we had was the kung pao chicken, which brought a little heat, and was color- and spiciness-balanced by the zucchini and carrot veggies. Then I'd say the next best was the fried veggie dumplings, which were true hand food and not oily. In third place was the sesame chicken, which was just fine. My mom wanted to substitute bok choy for the broccoli that normally comes with the sesame chicken, which they cheerfully obliged even though our order was several minutes in at that point. All in all, a full step above your standard Chinese takeout! You won't regret trying it. read more

When I lived in Central Jersey (and yes people, there is a Central Jersey), I used to visit their sister restaurant Jade Garden all the time. Now, that delicious Chinese food taste from home has migrated north! This version of their restaurant is takeout only. The prices are good and the food is even better. The wonton soup has the standard number of three wontons but they are thick and very meaty! I also ordered chicken and shrimp, but prefer it steamed with brown sauce on the side and the order was filled just like I desired! The chicken and shrimp are fresh and i'd love the addition of onions to the order. I wish more Chinese food restaurants did this. Parking is street only, and it isn't always easy to get a spot, so delivery might be a good option. I'll definitely be back! read more

The menu here has some interesting/different options that aren't available at a normal takeout restaurant, so we were looking forward to exploring these items! Egg with tomato special - This is a nostalgic dish for me, so I may be biased but I was not disappointed with this one. Flavorful, saucy, tomato-y, and egg-y - just how it should be. A little sweet, but not too sweet. Sometimes this dish comes with beef, which would be a nice option that would also further justify the price ($15) Steamed pork bun - Nice flavor on the beef and good proportion of bun to meat ratio. Can't ask for more than that. Steamed Walnut/sweet bun - This is more of a dessert, and while it is sweet, it wasn't overly sweet (a good thing). It has walnut, brown sugar, and white chocolate - a combination that works surprisingly well! Chicken Wings (Korean style) - A good portion of wings for the price and overall very good! Given that it comes in a closed takeout container, it's not going to be as crispy as Korean fried chicken wings from a specialty place (which have an open/paper container), but it was still decently crispy and the flavor was pretty close to the specialty places. It's the soy/garlic flavor and has nice bits of scallions for an added flavor punch. General Tso's - An obligatory purchases since this is how I often benchmark one Chinese takeout place to another (since they all have this dish). The breading is more of a "puffy" coating rather than crispy (I prefer crispy), but the flavor and portion size were both good. I ordered online and it was fairly easy to order, albeit you need to register for an account before doing so. Staff was friendly and food was ready when promised. Overall, I'd be back! read more

Had chow fun, general tso's chicken, mushu chicken, pork lo mein, beef lo mein, garlic eggplant, hot and sour soup...all of it was great. Turn-around was fast. Only potential improvement--ordered online and ended up having to call and chat live about when the food would be ready as the site wasn't updating, didn't get any notification. Overall it was okay. But two issues: 1) Time management in the kitchen was not good on the night we ordered (It was Christmas Day). We called in an order at 3:40pm for a 5pm pickup. Unfortunately the order wasn't ready until just about 5:30. Lots of impatient customers were standing around, so I wasn't alone. 2) Some of the seafood in one dish (Happy Family) was not fully cooked...or really cooked at all. Almost ice cold. Obviously, this wasn't discovered until we were well into dinner, and decided not to go back and ask for another order, especially based on how long the wait would likely have been. Was the food, overall, tasty? Yes. And had it been thoroughly cooked and presented closer to the requested time, this would have been a 5 star review. My sense is that the kitchen fell behind, couldn't catch up, and everything was rushed. May give them another chance. We'll see. read more

1st time trying today. The good - the place looks super clean and organized, and friendly staff. Take out time provided was on point. Both dishes were prepared well. The pan fried dumplings were not overly chewy, and had a really nice distribution of meat on the inside. Exterior could have been pan fried a bit more, and the one container of sauce given was only 1/3 full, which is absolutely not sufficient for 6 dumplings. Good thing I had asked for an extra one when I initially called. The chicken in black beans sauce was also fresh, and tasted clean. Chicken was perfectly tender, etc The biggest issue I experienced, and one which was consistent with BOTH dishes, was the absolute lack of seasoning or flavor. Seriously concerning. Although thankful that I didn't fall into an MSG coma,, I was 100% taken back by this. Even adding packets of soy sauce, duck sauce, etc did not correct the boringness of it all. No, just no. I have lived in Morristown since 1991 and there has never been decent Chinese food in the area.I was hopeful but no... I will start with the decent: Wonton soup broth was pleasant and wonton filling was tasty if too dense. But who needs wontons with a triple thick dough wall? Fried rice tasted like they need to change the oil more often and raise it's temperature. It was saturated with old tasting oil. Paid $2 for "home made Duck Sauce" it wasn't there. Got it in the second order and it's bizarre and gross. Tastes NOTHING like Duck Sauce. Tastes like spoiled salad dressing. Very weird. Moo Shoo Chicken was just OK. Huge portion but mostly veggies and little actual chicken. Unfortunately it was very wet. The panckakes were atypical and not in a good way. They were thin, overly firm dry and tasteless .The sace was very dried out. Thick almost solid and did not taste great. Boneless Spare Ribs were dry, overdone and were several times as sweet as would be expected. I thought $4.50 was a bit much for Brown Rice so I planned to have the white rice. Well there was none included. Is that extra? It's OK not very healthy at best so no more for me. No decent Chinese food in Morristown still. This is the only way to respond to the owner's response: I did not say there was too little filling in the wontons. I said the dough was too thick. I paid the $2 for duck sauce twice. The first time I got nothing and the second time I got a 1 1/2 or 2 ounce container that had a thick orange liquid that tasted like spoiled salad dressing. Neither time did I get duck sauce. A large Brown Rice is $4.50. I skipped it.. But I got no rice at all. Do you have to order rice separate ? If so you should be clear about that as it is the first time in my 50+ tears of eating Chinese food that rice was not included.
