Well, I do realize there's a huge Nordstrom downtown and another one at old Orchard and Schaumburg…read more I absolutely love the one in Oakbrook Center. I've been coming here for several decades since they opened and I've always really enjoyed this place. It is unfortunate that the Nordstrom's had taken away the live piano player which I thought brought some really great ambience and differentiated them in the market. However, this Nordstrom is definitely well stocked all year-round and carries a heck of a lot more product than the Woodfield or the Skokie location. Also, what I love about Nordstrom even after all these years is that they are very well staffed. No matter where you go in the store there's always someone willing and ready to help. I think it also helps because the Nordstrom sales staff is in fact incentivized. Over the years, the store has also changed, especially with the offerings from the café coffee shop restaurant, etc. However, when they first opened, I was in my teens if not early 20s and that particular section of the store always had some of the best selection. As well as some of the best brands. I still love coming here to this day and it's also a better sales tax then Woodfield, the city or Skokie

*Review is for Tire Center*…read more I recently opened a Costco membership after researching tire prices and warranties, and Costco ended up offering the best overall value. I purchased the Bridgestone Turanza EverDrive tires, and ordering them through the website was quick and easy. Scheduling the installation online was also straightforward. I did receive a text saying an earlier appointment was available, but the website wasn't updating to show those openings. I called the tire center, and the staff was able to get me in within the next few days, which I appreciated. My appointment was on a Friday at 1:45 p.m. After reading a lot of online reviews about long wait times, I was expecting to be there for hours. I dropped my car off at 1:40 p.m., walked next door for lunch, and received a text at 2:15 p.m. saying my car was ready. I was pleasantly surprised by how fast the service was. The tire center staff were friendly and professional throughout the process. The only issue came the following day when my tire pressure warning light came on. I called Costco, and they explained what to do. I stopped by on a busy Saturday to check the tire pressure and add air. No one was available to assist since they were very busy, and I noticed the right rear tire was significantly low, so I filled it myself. It's now been about a week without any further issues, so I'm hoping it was just a one-time occurrence. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, the pricing, and the installation experience. Aside from the minor tire pressure issue after installation, everything went smoothly, and I would use Costco Tire Center again.

It's a convenient place to get pallets of beverages, tasty cakes, pharmacy items like ibuprofen in bulk at a good price, and reasonably priced alcohol. The parking lot is insane no matter what time of day you come, and people are always dodging around with carts inside. So prepare yourself for the mob, then come in and get your rotisserie chicken, a wedding cake, a year's supply of vitamins, and a new couch, as well as a tank of gas.

And it was really sad when they all closed, however I was very excited when this one opened and actually grew in size. I've been here multiple times however, I finally decided to do a review on them. I gave them the two stars for several reasons. There's never enough staff here and on top of that although this is located in the very nice Oak Brook mall, they are facilities for their restrooms are absolutely appalling and disgusting. It is not only filthy, but they are so worn down and worn out. The only positive about this place is that they are constantly stocked with product and really cute trinkets and things to purchase regardless. Of course they have a little café as well, but even that needs a real facelift and renovation. Because even sitting here in the furniture is disgusting. So if you do need to buy anything, I suggest you come here you buy it and you leave and sit down somewhere else to enjoy your cup of coffee if you do that or to actually sit down and enjoy reading whatever it is, you purchased elsewhere

I wondered why I liked shopping malls so much that I'm now managing a retail store at an outlet. By the way, H&M was not even available at my small-town, everyone-knew-each-other, rural South Carolina mall twelve (12) years ago. Nowadays, I absolutely hate the mall. Yes, I know "hate" is a strong word, but lingering at a mall doesn't help me relax anymore. Hubby was servicing their POS system at their Yorktown Center location, so I tagged along. I knew this is one of the newer H&M in Chicagoland. I could tell because the condition of the store was slightly more pristine in comparison to other locations in the city or in the suburbs. Although shopping at a mall is less pleasurable for me, I had to admit that H&M does have fashionable and cute stuff! A few Nordic-patterned sweaters and wraps were on sale, it was a bit tempting yet I had a decent self-control with buying clothes, jewelry, and accessories. Yes, it came a long way for me since the "rehab" I gave to myself a year ago as I was cleaning up and reorganizing my closet. Seriously if there was an option for no stars I may have put that…read more I went here when Christmas shopping. I walked in not really looking for anything in particular... and ended up finding something cool for my boyfriend and brother/sister-in-law. BUT. First of all I was greeted by a guy with dreadlocks when I walked in-- who had his mouth full of food. I understand sometimes timing isn't ideal, but he continued to have a conversation with me despite the fact that I was getting a disgusting show of the inside of his mouth. I quickly excused myself from that and said, "just browsing." Now as I'm walking around the store, I am distracted by a woman having a very LOUD conversation with an employee (who I later found out was the manager). Not only was this woman talking at an inappropriately loud volume, she was also talking about rather inappropriate things. I don't know if she worked there, but she was bashing people openly and just overall being a total ass hole. The manager woman just continued conversing with her as if it was no big deal. I finally picked up my items and went to the register to fill out paperwork and check out. The guy with the dreads got me started on paperwork for engraving. As I was filling out the sheet (and mind you, it is pretty quick), two other customers came in and the guy with the dreads moved on to greet them. They had a lot of questions which he was answering, but after I filled out my 30 second paper, I was standing there waiting for the next step. So the manager is standing there having a personal conversation about 2 feet away, the dread guy is helping a customer, and another guy was just walking in circles in the back of the store... while I stand there twiddling my thumbs. About 30 seconds before I'm about to walk out, the dreadlock guy comes back and takes care of me. There is more to this story, but I think you get the jist. I have worked customer service before and basically the idea (especially around Christmas time) is to help customers. And the manager is supposed to delegate tasks. On the other hand, the products turned out beautifully, so that is the reason for my 1 star rating. However, I don't normally like to support businesses that have shitty customer service- no matter how good their product is.
