I was in the area to run the Ventura Marathon. I stopped in here to buy some snacks and drinks. It was off of Mills Rd between Telegraph Rd and Main St. Interesting enough, there's another Target just a couple of blocks away on Main St. This was one of the larger and fancier 2 story Targets connected to the Pacific View shopping mall. The store was clean, well organized, and well maintained. I ended up buying a pint of Ben & Jerry's and a bottle of Gatorade. Both items were reasonably priced. I just have to say, I came here to do a review on the store, mainly for the employees there. I went for a "baby shower gift", and unfortunately, the baby section was a bit of a mess, very hard to navigate, and, I don't know, I was not a big fan. Just a mess to put it bluntly. In the time I was there, two employees really stuck out; Melissa at the register and Veronica in the women's clothing department. Veronica SINCERELY went out of her way, to assist me in my purchase of a gift. I needed to buy three of the same product and only two of the sizes were available. She went completely out of her way and told me to give her about 10 minutes, so that she could go through the returns, and back area, to see if she could find that size, either in backstock or like I said the return area. I don't think it was much more than 10 minutes, but I was shopping in another part of the store while she searched and when I came back, she found me...WITH the specified product in HAND. She absolutely made my day, I couldn't believe she actually found it. I was extremely thankful, and I could see that happiness in return, on HER face. When I was checking out, Melissa helped me identify Veronica. Melissa was also a delight, very courteous and fun to talk with at the register, while checking me out quite diligently without delay. Even making sure I pulled up my own circle account to get the best prices available. Definitely saved me several dollars in the process. I'm not a big shopping fan, but definitely will visit this Target again, because of their assistance and hospitality. read more

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Target. I purchased an item sold as new, only to open it and find it was clearly used. It had scratches, food stains, and was missing parts. This never should have made it back on the shelf, let alone been sold as new at full price. What made the situation worse was Target's online customer service. Their only solution was to tell me to return it and get another one. While that may be standard policy, it completely ignores the fact that this inconvenience was caused by their failure in the first place. My time is valuable, and I should not have to make another trip to fix Target's mistake. This reflects extremely poor quality control and a lack of accountability. The experience felt uncomfortable while shopping in the shampoo aisle. Two individuals kept repeatedly circling us while my sister and I were trying to look at products. They would stand very close and in front of us while we were browsing, which made it difficult to shop normally. As paying customers, we didn't feel respected or at ease during this interaction. Employee rang up my items, overfilled one large bag with containers of cleaning fluid on their sides, and left the remaining items beside my second bag. Another customer approached the register after I paid and was finished and out the door before I finished repacking the first and filling the second bag while the employee watched. My 95 year old mother was out of her Synthroid medication. Her doctor in SD told me to go to the pharmacy here in Ventura and ask for an emergency supply. I did. I had the displeasure of dealing with an Asian pharmacist at the Mills Rd Target on 12/29/25 @ 4 pm. She wouldn't give me the emergency supply, instead she looked a piece of paper of her prescriptions, shaking her head no and offered this insane remedy. I NEED TO DRIVE FOUR HOURS TO SAN DIEGO TO GET 4 damn pills!!! I said no. Target/CVS are all under the same umbrella and you can see on that paper she does have a prescription, albeit it had expire, hence the EMERGENCY SUPPLY !!!! until I can get her into tomorrow to have her labs done for her primary. I told her repeatedly I was taking her in the morning to have labs done as Dr. sent the referral to Quest in Ventura. No is all she said. I asked for any recommendations on how I could obtain some pills. NOTHING! My husband dealt with her earlier, to no avail. Her excuse then for not providing the EMERGENCY SUPPLY was she didn't have the 88mcg. So when I spoke with her I asked her to call other pharmacies for the 88 mcg, she declined. We have used this pharmacy for years and never ever have I received such incompetence from the pharmacy staff. They have always gone the extra mile to help me, NOT THIS PHARMACIST. I wish I got her name but I was seeing RED. I hope CVS will address her oath to helping people, because clearly she does care. I may I suggest she should be release from duty. Simply awful, CVS can do much better! read more

THIS TARGET IS A SCAM! BE CAREFUL! All bubble toys were in clearance section and this bubble machine "didn't have a sticker" so front desk was extremely rude about sticking to their clearance sign posted with the items. I've heard Target is taking off price tags on items so people cannot complain that the computer is ringing items up at a higher price. This is ILLEGAL. Items need to be shelved WITH its price tag. If the price tag is incorrect, the store must follow what is posted IN THE STORE WITH THE ITEM. This isn't the first time this has happened to me. If you don't check your receipt or have an idea how much you are racking up, be careful shopping at Target! The employees have only gotten more rude and hope you will just say, "oh, it's ok," and pay the WRONG price, which is usually more expensive. BIG SCAM!!! read more

It's been 3 years since I last reviewed this Target? Man I'm slacking. I'll continue to say it, even though I fear this mall going belly up any day now, you cannot beat the convenience of the location of this Target. 1. Located at the end of the mall so direction/walking in the mall is simple. 2. Located right next to a TJ's. You can't beat the parking here as the parking for the other TJ's sucks! I could list so many other conveniences! I had a hard time adjusting to their remodel and his EVERYTHING got moved around. It's annoying AF to still not know where something is now placed. But it's OK we will survive! Staff is fine. Sometimes can't find anyone to ask a question if needed, but not a dealbreaker. This store is great for last minute items to grab after work or that huge Target run on the weekend. PRO TIP: Downstairs is where the seasonal items/display used to be but it's now upstairs kinda by Target Mobile. And ALSO - big shout out to Target Mobile! I had a pick up order today. The employee was not at the pick up order desk so I was waiting in line at the return table. All of a sudden a lady shows up for a drive up order and the employee at the return table gets the an employee named Ariana or Adriana to get to her station. Anyways when I go over to get help after waiting in line I am told that I am rude by the employee because the lady that never waited had a drive up order is inside the store. I can't live in a city that doesn't have a Target. Ventura has two!!! This Target is my favorite, I always find what I need for myself and my ladies. My ladies love candles, they love luxury body washes. I love my ladies. Target lets me keep them happy (without breaking the bank). This particular location is well stocked and the employees are pretty nice! I do wish Ventura would do something about the vagrants around the mall though. My mom and I went to return something she had bought today. She didn't have her receipt so she used her app barcode instead. The employee named Jazleen (wears a ton of makeup and has straight hair) scanned it and just rudely said "no it doesn't work". I pulled up the receipt via the app and somehow it worked for her. Then Jazleen says "Put your card in" really rudely and took both of us off guard. Sometimes you don't have to put your card in for the refund and on top of that, there's a way to ask/direct customers politely. Jazleen was overall bad-mannered and had poor customer service. read more

My favorite thing about this Target is the fact that even though it is located at a huge mall, it has a massive parking lot for itself and it is never a struggle to find a spot. I am also a huge fan of the fact it is right next to the bus stop, Trader Joes, Rag Doll, and Hollister Co. I get a ton of errands done at once and can hop on the bus back if I'm not feeling driving down and up. This Target has a Starbucks, Pizza Hut, and Target ready-made, hot and fresh snack center at the front. While I have never eaten or drank at these spots they always seem packed and no one leaves empty handed. The front "dollar section" of the store used to be full of inexpensive goods no one needs to buy but all of us want and end up leaving with. Lately, though they've had a lot more of the $3.99 deals for products I don't seem to relate to. Would love to see that section get revamped for the better sometime soon! The rest of the store is big, well organized, full of diverse products, and a little bit over decently priced. The women's clothing section seems to grow every time I'm there, and I find this Target has a much larger shoe section than a lot of the others. The seasonal section is also extremely large here which I most often love because I am huge on holidays and, of course, special event planning. All in all great Target with tons of parking, usually not too long of lines, and ample amount of products. I love Target! I will be back. read more

I hate walking. It's the twenty-first damn century. We should have moving sidewalks everywhere by now. The only thing I hate more than walking is climbing stairs. At least technology has triumphed over that misery. Escalators make achieving altitude almost effortless. I love escalators because they have all the up of elevators without any of the boxiness. In my book, few things beat a well-placed escalator. The escalator to the second floor of this Target store being a case in point. If you need to shop the departments on the top floor, you can take your shopping cart with you. Right next to the people escalator, there is a parallel track for your cart. You load your shopping cart onto the escalator. Then you get on the people escalator. Now, obviously your shopping cart has a huge head start. By the time you get on the people mover, the cart is clearly ahead. You're thinking, Oh shit, my shopping cart is going to beat me to the top! Not to worry. It's totally fixed! Even though your cart starts the journey first, you always get to the end before it does. You win every time! But it's always close. Clearly, Target has a sense of drama. Within walking distance, I go here all the time. I haven't had many bad experienced. The most recent one has been moldy sweet corn the same night as purchasing it. Do not get the sealed pack of sweet corn here. It always seems to get moldy in a few days of not using. There's a few things I hope this particular target changes. I usually use self check out, but you can tell there's hardly any cashiers for the amount of counters available. This creates a line at self check out. The most annoying part about this location though is how many people can't figure out where they're supposed to drive in the parking lot. It can easily create an accident and almost has for us. See the arrow pointing in the opposite direction? Don't drive that way. Can Target please at least install signs cause people are blind. read more

This Target is huge and attached to an outdoor mall. I have been here a handful of times now and was always able to find everything on my list and then some. On my most recent visit, the store was in a bit of disarray because they are changing the look of some things inside. However, even with all that going on the employees were still more than happy to help me look for things on my list that I couldn't find and showed me the new places for them. This is a two-story target and they have a really nice selection of electronics upstairs. We bought a TV some months ago and got it for a great price. The only drawback to this target is the parking situation, the spots are so small and it is always so crowded. But, I have yet to find a target with large parking spaces. Target visa gift cards are the worst! They don't go through to the person at first. You get the email and send it to the person. My sister had a hard time just receiving it and then couldn't send it to me, so she took a photo in which i made a copy. The store wouldn't accept the copy. Then online it wouldn't go through without an access number. Now I have to call my sister and see if she has it in her email. Not sure if she deleted or not. Also, when you call the number on back, you cannot get a live person! I HATE TARGET AND THEIR B.S. Besides, EVERYTHING comes from communist China...UGH. One of the cleanest Targets I've encountered. I've always admired how this location is two stories. It makes the whole shopping experience feel somewhat intimate as each area is sectioned off in a more intimate manner. As is the case for any mall anchor, this store feeds into the Pacific View Mall via a few openings. Otherwise, it may be accessed from the opposite end without even needing to set foot in the mall itself. I enjoy that this location is generally stocked well. I've found that the items I want are typically in stock if they are out at the other Ventura store. This store is also quite clean and I feel that the staff do a good job tidying up. I will be sure to stop by during my next visit to the area. read more

Regular basic target. But I often think about getting produce here, but the rancid stench near the fruits and veggies always reminds me why I do not! Always smells like someone stepped in dog doo and tracked it thru out the produce area. No go for me! Also, I understand employees are designated to certain responsibilities but that does not mean they aren't to display customer service to the entire store. For instance, a young lady with very long brown hair, who does the "car pick up" shopping has snubbed and responded with short cold answers on two different occasions. Just because you do one job doesn't mean you can pawn a customer off to find someone else, especially when asking what aisle number an item might be. As well as asking if the customer service desk was still open. I believe managers should remind employees of what customer service is. This place needs security inside and outside the bldg. Patrons speeding inside the parking lot and kids playing, running around the electronics section like it's Disney Land. Never have I seen this inside a target before. Absolutely upsetting to know In 2023 how behind this target location is with disabilities or how they treat their employees in general. Firing an employee over one day of not knowing his schedule was changed is beyond pathetic considering he was not notified and morally incorrect. The employee of whom I speak of works two jobs 16 hour days goes to college and passes all his classes his work ethic is beyond what is asked and him being on the spectrum helped me while shopping because he memorized where everything was. This target is always clean and organized. Everything is labeled and the prices are accurate. I went in for swim suit for my daughter and came out with a swim suit for her, a new sports bra for me (new clearance items) and a strawberry acai from starbucks. I just couldn't go wrong. I love that it's two story. It's attached to the mall so I was able to get other shopping done too. The only real issue I have is the parking lot. The small lot right in front of target sucks. Mostly because it's small and the people driving and walking there can't figure out how traffic signs work. They ignore the stop signs or they ignore the one way. If you visit here just be careful of others outside, not the brightest bunch. The store is great though so focus on that. read more

Out of the two Targets in Ventura and one in Oxnard town center, this location is my closest, but least liked, and yet, since it is attached to the mall and near Trader Joe's, I find myself stopping here more than the other locations. I do not like the two story deal, and inevitably I remember something I wanted on the 2nd floor after I have already gone back downstairs. Grr. I usually find parking near Trader Joe's and walk over rather than drive round and round in the full parking lot right in front of the store. Their instant photo kiosks work better than the Main St location and you don't feel like you are in the walkway while inputting your photos, but you have to queue up in the return line to pick them up. But, when I need a quick print for my Mom who just has to have a copy of a photo, it is an easy option. On my last visit, I left a bag at the check out. It had to be in the checker's way for the next customer, but no one called after me, so I arrived home before I missed it. No apology when I returned for it, either. Ah well, the store usually stocks all the home goods, grocery items and pharmaceuticals I need if I can only remember to take them home with me. read more

I like this Target because it is usually very clean, neat, and organized overall. I don't really like two-story Targets, but they have most everything one needs and it feels safe. Parking is good because it its attached to the Mall, so you can park on whatever side you want. But, I do see their carts strewn all over the parking lot, even after hours. I'm not sure if that is the responsibility of the mall management or Target, but it would be nice if they hired someone to retrieve the carts so they don't wind up in neighborhoods. read more

Also their down-escalator was under repair so we had to use the elevator to get back downstairs. Besides that, I like this store. It's clean and generally easy to get around in. Decent selection and polite, professional staff. Finding a check-out station can be a little confusing but that's my only beef with this store. read more
