It's awesome not to have to go to Columbia Heights or Potomac Yards to get my Target fix. Yes, this is a Target Express, but they do have the grocery items I purchase so it's all good. I breezed into town for a couple of nights and this is going to help me out a lot having this place nearby. They seem to have everything here, even ethnic hair products. Target sold us a returned iPod in August that was knowingly defective. Apple Store in Clarendon was able to look up serial number and confirm product was defective. Bottom Line, Target should not have resold a defective product and they refused to make good for it. This is unethical business practice and a lesson for consideration of future shopping at Target. We're done... stay away from this store. read more

I live about a 3 minute walk from this Target and it's great in a pinch for basic items but If you are looking for a specific it from a specific brand you should walk away now because most likely it won't be there. They have no children's clothes, the bathroom section is extremely small and if you go close to close usually half the selves are empty because they haven't continuously restocked the shelves. They did the best they could in my opinion with the tiny space but I honestly think maybe it would have been better to make the target 2 floors and just get rid of the free parking. read more

Really should brand it differently than full target stores because when you get there expecting target its pretty much "I expect better from target." Need to increase their essential hardware availability (a few basic nuts/bolts/wrenches/etc). Limited healthy beverage/water options. Limited healthy quick meal items. A convenient, brand new (and well maintained) neighborhood Target (with Pharmacy and Starbucks). The selection, however, is disappointing. Yes they have more grocery items than the CVS or Safeway across the street and they have clothes and apparels, but many daily items are hard to find, including shower caps, combs, Always Radiant Teen pads (they only have tampons unbelievably), and so on. Things that are easy to find in Safeway or CVS. So it's kind of an odd ... niche market? read more

This is a conveniently located Target, which also boasts an in-house Starbucks and sits above a District Taco. Check out is a breeze, because there's several self checkouts in addition to a few cashiers. It's clean, but both times I've been there, shelves aren't stocked well, especially in the food sections. Speaking of food, many of the products (especially dairy) are Market Place brand. So if you want name brand perishable goods, then going to the Express store probably isn't your best bet. read more

They have a very bad quality food, I bought more than one kind of chocolate and cookies which all of them were smelly and not fresh even though the expire date is not due yet! Also, their veggies were not fresh at all! I bought baby carrots and it was not delicious and fresh. Also, I bought a glue and I realized when I opened it that it was only the half bottle full! Beware of the "bait and switch" at this location. There is sometimes an advertised price in the store bin but when you get to the register you are charged an additional price, sometimes 30% more. When this happens, I leave the items at the self service register. It is their rip-off so I'm not going to return the item to its misadvertised location in the store. read more

This is the worst Target in the DC area! All their prices are inflated by 50% over the surrounding Target stores in the area. They also have a terrible selection and so many of their products are out of stock. For a much better selection at much lower prices, shop at the Safeway across the street instead. read more

I went to the Roslyn location this evening to return an item and the line was rather long (everyone kept their distance, as they have stickers on the floor for customers to stand on while waiting). The two employees working the cash registers were efficient and encouraged people to use the self-checkout if they wanted. I barely waited 3 minutes before Naja, one of the employees at the register kindly called me over. She was extremely helpful, courteous, kind, and when I had an additional question about a gift card, she helped me get on my Target account and apply my gift card balance- something I didn't realize I could do. I hope the management knows how wonderful Naja is and how hard she works. Thank you, Naja!! read more

I live in the area, and this Target is a super convenient, smaller version of the Target stores we all know and love. You aren't going to find everything here that you'd find at a full sized store; this is more like a sample sized shop. You'll find MOST of what you'd need, but fewer options to choose from. So, it's great if you need to pick something up while on a lunch break, or need to grab a few things on your way home from work. They have a small selection of clothes, as well as a solid toiletries, makeup, house ware, and grocery section, so if you're looking for basics and don't want to have to pay higher drugstore prices, this store will likely have it. Their wine selection is actually pretty good, which was a pleasant surprise for me when I was running late to a party and stopped by for a bottle. They have a nice seasonal rotation of holiday items, and even maintain a small bargain section with those fun $1-$5 items near the check out. It seems to me that they took their best sellers and put them in this store. I've only ever not found what I wanted once, which I think is pretty good. So do manage your expectations some - but I still think you'll be pleasantly surprised. My only real issue with this store is that the entrance is difficult to locate and really needs to be more clearly marked. Finding it from the street took me far longer than it should have. Some sort of signage would definitely help here. read more

This target is a welcomed addition to Rosslyn for me! I live in Ballston so the nearest target is probably a 15 minute drive to Falls Church and it's alllllways busy there. Now whenever I need something quickly I can just walk across the street from my building on Wilson and grab whatever. There is also a starbuck's inside so that just adds to the Target's credit. read more

I came to this TargetExpress to return some items and didn't have a chance to look around, so I can't speak to what selection of products they offered. But I just really want to commend Kendall, the employee who processed my returns - I hope the manager sees this. The store was busy (lots of post-Thanksgiving/pre-holiday shoppers) but Kendall kept his cool and was very attentive and helpful throughout the entire transaction, even when other employees were coming to him with questions. He was calm and professional, and I just wanted to thank him again for what otherwise could have been a stressful and chaotic experience. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves! P.S. Yes, this location has parking - there is some metered street parking and a garage which is free with validation. Note that this is a TargetExpress, so it doesn't have the huge array of items that you would find in a typical Target store. read more

Target overall= 5 stars ... Target express in Arlington= 4 stars. I love the convenience of this location, I just wish it was bigger! Some basic things they don't carry. Overall, it is nice to have a Target so close to home. I go to Target at least one a week, but I usually go to the one by my office in Reston because it has everything! The staff at the Roslyn location is always super nice and helpful and the store is clean and easy to navigate, just too small! read more

I'm absolutely thrilled to have Target within 2/10 of a mile from my condo! The little store seems to pack in a good selection of foods and department store items as well as a Starbucks and a pharmacy! Best of all, now there is zero reason to EVER set foot in the worst Safeway in America across the street! For twelve years I've had to endure the horrendous Safeway on the rare occasions that I needed basic groceries quickly and had no time to get to Whole Foods or Trader Joes. No longer! I will NEVER set foot in the Rosslyn Safeway ever again! For that alone, this Target gets five stars. read more

I get mad every time I go here, because I wish it was something that it's not--a real Target store. Location is so perfect for a Target! And there's a good taco place next door. Too bad this target does not carry many items. If you want shoes, they might have one pair in size 11.5 women's and another in women's 4. If you want a coffee pot or any household items, just go on amazon and skip this store. There is a decent amount of cosmetics and some food... so, it's more like a CVS without the coupons. read more

This is a store for young urban apartment dwellers. If you don't fit into that demographic, then I suggest you go to Target @ 7 Corners. Today I wanted a pair of plain black knee socks,. But no luck at this Target. I found white socks with whimsical figures--perfect for a cold November morning. I also found 12 different styles of leggings and 3 styles of tacky over the knee stockings. Knee socks--must be for old folks, so you won't find them @ this Target. And you won't find me at this Target again either. Please spare me merchandise curated for this demographic. I will either go to Target @ 7 Corners. Better yet, I will use Amazon Prime. The parking situation is horrible here. The attendant that was there today during the day is so rude and yelled at me for not stopping to get a ticket when he was no where to be found. Then there's the issue of this Target not carrying most of the basic purchases you would make at a grocery store or drug store. Think of this place more like a 7-eleven meets a hotel gift shop. Why take the time to go through the hassle of parking only to find out they don't have a lot of items you may need? I'd rather drive a little further to a grocery store or cvs. read more

I was thrilled to see signs of Target opening up in my neighborhood. Since it's "inauguration" I have been here dozens of times, only to have walked out disappointed. The concept of an Express store in an urban area is nice in theory, but a fail in reality. They have tried to stock little of every category at much higher prices and stripped the store of it's integrity. Of very limited selection they have, grocery is 95% Market Pantry branded. They carry body lotion but Neutrogena, they carry cough drops but no Halls, they carry eye drops but no eye ointment, they carry helmets (selection of 2-3) but no decent bike water bottle, they carry clothes but none wearable. They would have done better by concentration on few select categories. It's like a condominium in-house store for urgent toiletry and stationary needs. Other stores in the neighborhood fulfilled the need just fine before Target's arrival. read more

The biggest issue with this Target is that they are out of stock of everything all the time. Half the aisles look like the place was raided by people waiting for a snowstorm. How hard is it for the nation's second largest retailer to keep milk stocked? Your best bet is to treat this place like Target Lite. If you know you need something specific to Target, try here. Excellent customer service. Today my daughter used her hard earned money to purchase a few things at target but unfortunately left her bag there. I went back tonight to see if it was there and it was not. The nicest store manager told me to grab the things she had purchased! I think this was the worst target I've ever been to. So small - no selections - couldn't even buy a toilet bowl cleaner or a broom.

This target location has been extremely convenient for me. I work nearby and walk here on my lunch break to pick up essentials like diapers, personal care items, basic groceries (actually, the selection is quite good), home goods, etc. Staff are helpful and friendly and the store is clean and well-maintained. There's a CVS and Starbucks inside as well. Honestly, although I was initially disappointed at the store size and selection, I've come to appreciate everything this Target DOES carry and how very convenient it is to have a target within walking distance to my office. Terrible customer service, especially in the electronics department. I tried to return an item I bought online to the store and they said that they couldn't do it. When I talked to Target customer service online, they said that they were wrong and that I should have spoken with a supervisor because I definitely should have been able to return to the store. I come to this Target because basic items are cheaper here than at the CVS and grocery stores in the area. However, it's too curated for me. Certain sections (like the wine, beer, orange juice, and prepared food sections) are ridiculously well-stocked with too many options for such a small store, while others (like the clothes, greeting cards, and household cleaning supplies) have a paltry selection that's worse than CVS. This is definitely not a Target where you'll be able to get all your shopping done. Think of it more as a large convenience store. read more
