This Target store is much more than a department store compared to some of their other locations. In fact, I think at least 50% of the store is devoted solely to groceries and kitchen staples. This atmrea has been seriously lacking any type of food store for a long time, and at least Target is taking steps in the right direction. They carry the most basic food items that you could need for the kitchen including cereals, ice cream, and even some produce. I was also checking out theor wine aisle and what they have isn't that bad. Interestingly, there is also a cVS pharmacy located right inside the store. Today I only purchased Nature's Own protein bars, and it was the most economical breakfast bars that I could find. They do not have as much variety when it came to meat and poultry, and there is no deli inside of the store, so perhaps the next time I come I will purchase more of the basics.

I was in town for the Marine Corps Marathon and had just arrived in the Rosslyn area. Since it was nearby, I came in here to buy some water for the weekend. I had to wait a few minutes as they weren't open until 8 am on weekends. This wasn't one of the regular full-sized Target stores. It was still clean and well organized, but the selection was much smaller. I bought a couple of bottles of fancy alkaline water and was on my way after paying for the items using one of the self check-out kiosks.

This Target is an urban Target so it's smaller than your typical suburban Target, but it's perfect for the city! You can get all the basics here from groceries to greeting cards to kids toys. The staff are friendly too!

Because this Target is abbreviated, I will keep this review short and simple. So apparently this is a Target Express. As others pointed out this Target is more comparable to a CVS than other Target stores. As a CVS and Target shopper, "I like it, I like it." With the store not being too big, there isn't a whole lot to distract you from getting what you need only. The location is prime, not far from the Rosslyn Metro station which is a transfer point and not far from the Georgetown to Union Station Circulator. I like that Target, an enterprise utilized the limited space to provide a quality store. And they have Self-Checkout. I think this is an example of how Target has been ahead of the curve or I am just a fool for the novelty.

"Christmas boxes and wrapping paper." Called before we came and asked if they had boxes and they said yes. No boxes or wrapping paper.

I wish I read the yelp reviews before our impromptu visit to look for some last minute holiday supplies. I needed some boxes and wrapping paper. We even called ahead of time and were told that both were available. We decided to get crazy and take the metro since it is so close instead of driving. We arrived and were thoroughly disappointed. Not only was there no Christmas/holiday wrapping paper or boxes in the entire store but there wasn't any wrapping paper of any kind. It is such a small store it holds less than the local CVS or Walgreens. I was really surprised. I had no idea that the store was an "express" version, I had never heard of a Target express before. I wish I had and I wish it was listed on the website or the front of the store so I could at least know what I was getting to. Plus I wish the employees would just tell us they didn't know before confirming they have something and then arriving to find out they don't...

The actual price at checkout for hamburger buns is 3.49, not the 2.79 on the shelf.

Back again - same issue with prices. Always use the app to verify the price. The price on the shelf is usually wrong (and usually NOT in your favor). I'd make a mint if their manager gave me a buck for every shelf price error I uncover.

Called ahead as I had forgot to pack dress shoes. No shoes in store at this time but staff was polite and helpful.

I live in the area, and this Target is a super convenient, smaller version of the Target stores we all know and love.

They occasionally have some great unique pieces, but that is becoming increasingly rare. It seems to have morphed more into a confusing assortment of newer Ikea-level furniture presented as vintage, gift soaps & candles and random clothing. But what really makes this place special are the people - the staff / owners here seem to actively dislike their customers lol! I lived around the corner for 6 years and used to drop in regularly. They revolve between completely ignoring you while laughing to each other, outright hostility, and aggressive indifference (ask a question - they shrug while walking away lol). To make it all just a little more uncomfortable, it seems like half of what they have on the floor is "unavailable". No signs, no explanation, just when you say you would like to buy it they say it's "unavailable" and walk away lol. I don't know who this place is supposed to appeal to, it seems like they are going for tourists, and maybe young people who just moved here and don't know any better. Hopefully this space will turn over into something that better serves the community.

A month later we still did not have the table. When I called the store, the customer service was poor, with folks blaming it on "the national crisis with drivers." One person was as rude as to say, "Maybe you have heard of this." I asked to speak to the manager, who is also the owner, Sean, and after my third call, he did finally call me back. Two weeks later--more than a month late from when it was first promised--the table was delivered. Without the parts necessary to assemble it. I was told by the driver it would take another "week or two" to get back over with the parts and to assemble. When I called Sean to describe the situation, he told me I should have accepted the table, and that "he would have worked out a solution." When I pointed out that I had lost faith in them, after several cancellations from the delivery service, and the table arriving a month late, his response, the ultimate passive-aggressive retort: "I am sorry you feel that way." Nice furniture. Snooty, pretentious, unaccommodating staff. I never write bad reviews. I feel bad for small business owners in this environment, and do acknowledge that getting deliveries is tough (though we had several other pieces of furniture and appliances delivered within a week from purchase), but there was really little effort spent in trying to resolve the problem other than making promises that were then broken.
