Poorly managed. The lines are so long. There is what looks to be 75 people working here but only 3 working the cash registers. They all keep walking by looking at the lines and carrying on with their projects. So frustrating. There are people standing in the main aisles since the line are so long but still, nobody opens another register. This Target recently renovated and I was very excited to see what all the social media buzz was about. Upon walking in, I didn't notice any drastic change. There are a lot more food options including salads and quick pre-prepared lunches by some new private labels. The grocery section at least seemed to emulate a less pretentious version of Whole Foods. The only thing I really noticed about the clothing section were the stylish yet unimportant platforms that the mannequins were standing on. In the makeup section, I spoke to Ellen, who I had a great conversation with the last time I was in the store. She remembered me and offered me some great advice about which products to look into and try. She is definitely a star employee! read more

I have one word to describe Super Target in West Plano - babes. Some people might be offended by that, or find my review to be superficial. Well, I'll say it again. BABES. I can go into the store no matter what time of the day it is - during my lunch break, during rush hour, during the night - and run into very well dressed, attractive women roaming the aisles like a pack of cheetahs about to pick off a weak antelope. Oh to be that weak antelope. And when they're not well dressed? They are there in tight skimpy workout clothes - enough to make your jaw drop and run your cart right into an endcap. Not that it's ever happened to me before...*ahem* Store is always clean, well lit. I know the layout well enough so I get in, get my stuff, wander around and check out the babes, and get out. It doesn't matter if it's the grocery side or the electronics side - it's like a visual feast for the eyes everywhere. I wonder how many other people have discovered this little gem. They should charge a cover just to shop there. I want to thank Target's store planners for putting in a Super Target in the best possible location. They deserve a raise and a gold medal for offering a reason to wander aimlessly around Super Target. read more

Did "drive up" for pick up. 3.5 hours later my order was still not ready. I know it says 2 hours but also 4 hours??? Cmon ! This is ridiculous!!! Let it be known that 1) I am a grocery store Snob and 2) I HATE having to go to more than one location to get everything I need. This store just lacks the variety and array of products that I had come to expect from a Super Target (my favorite location will always be Hwy 6 and Hwy 59 in Sugar Land, Texas). I can't count how many times I have tried to shop here and had to go somewhere else to get everything I needed. One instance that sticks out in my mind was the day of Jennifer C's bridal shower and I was in charge of making the punch. I bought most of everything I needed at Target... but they didn't have any pineapple sherbet. It's not that they were out... they didn't even have a place for it on the shelves anywhere. They have recently begun carrying the Walden Farms family of products... but only a few of the salad dressings. After attempting to get the needed items for my vacation last week, I still had to go across the street to Wal Mart to buy a pair of flip flops for my mom and I had to go to Market Street to get the Walden Farms Marshmallow Dip. I am glad that I live so close to a nice, clean Super Target... but some really needs to work on their selection of products because having to go to more than one store makes me not want to have to come here at all. read more

I'll start by saying I have no issues with people having their beliefs whatever they may be. However I find it extremely inappropriate for an employee to try and push a religious view on a customer. I politely told this employee that I would rather not discuss the topic, as obviously I'm not trying to get in a religious debate while I shop, however she continued to push her views on me. I don't know if you have a policy for this kind of thing, but I'd suggest discussing with your employees that they should respect their customers views and space. Man I loves me some Super Target! I used to get my groceries at Kroger then migrated over to Tom Thumb because K-Roger was 1) outrageously expensive and 2) the employees were as friendly as junk yard pit bulls. Tom Thumb was a vast improvement on the employee aspect but unfortunately the prices were still way too high... Enter Super Target to the rescue.!!! I usually stop in once a week on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for groceries and assorted sundries. The produce is always fresh and well stocked and the deli makes some mean take out salads! The aisles are wide enough for two large carts to pass by without any chance of collision (are you listening Wal-Mart??) and every time I pass an employee stocking up on an item they always ask if I need any assistance in finding anything. When I am not distracted by the home accessories, DVD's and movies, or cute clothes in the women's and juniors section, I can usually make a run through the store for my regular items within 30 minutes. Although lately I have been making a pass through the book section before heading over to the endless line of check out registers.....that adds, um, probably another 20 minutes to my shopping time. Did I mention the books are discounted too? While not all the registers are open all the time they are quick to open others once there are more than 3 people lined up at any one checkout. I also love the fact that unlike some other mega-stores around Plano, you don't have to park 2 miles from the front doors even at the busiest times of day. read more

DON'T GET A RED DEBIT CARD. I like target. Its one of my favorite stores, but the red card is a scam. Its marketed as a no fee debit card that comes right out of your account. What you assume with a debit card is that they check your balance then they authorize the transaction. Nope. Every transaction is a check. It clears several days later. If it doesn't, you will be charged $30 a transaction and they could report you to the check systems. The banks can't do this anymore without your permission on debit cards. Target can because they are not a bank. Yes it did happen to me, except the reporting part. Three red card transactions all less than 3$ they charged me $90. Oh but they ran the transaction again and they cleared, so I didn't owe the 5$ just the 90$ fee. Shoo target just stay away from the red card. read more

Hoooray for Target! I've been a Target fan for years now, and this is the nearest Super Target to where I live. Even though there's a "regular" Target on Beltline, I just seem to prefer the Super Target locations. I've been to this location quite a lot here in the last few weeks, for various things. While I can't get EVERYTHING I need at Target, I can get enough of it here. I went here today for just a few things, and left with all but one of them (a plastic Sterilite/Rubbermaid wrapping paper holder. I looked in EVERY AISLE). So I count that as a win! I can get store brand milk here that I think is better than the store brand milk at a few regular grocery stores. I can get 2 Swiffer wet-jet refills for a good price (and even get a $5 gift-card if I needed to buy the whole starter kit- which I didn't, but still). I got a poster frame for something I ordered off Art.com 8 years ago (yes, really) and never took out of the shipping tube. I was even able to use the Kodak self-serve picture kiosk to print out 8 photos (for about $2.50) on my way out. Customer service has never ever been an issue at this store. Also, I've barely ever had any wait at check-out lanes. Now, it could be because I'm there at odd times during the week because of my work schedule, but I'll take it! So, sometimes I will venture out to the Super Target at Coit and Campbell if I'm at my dad's house or that area, but I usually hit this one as it's just up the road from my place. Also, I've noticed that Target has occasional REALLY good deals on DVDs. Entire season of Dexter for $15? YES PLEASE. I can't get it that cheap online! I've bought all 4 seasons of Dexter that we own this way. Paid no more than $15 for each season. Also got BBC's Being Human for $12. Be sure to browse the DVD section before leaving! Might find an amazing deal hidden in there to complete your collection. read more

I've lived near here for a little less than a decade and can easily say the number 1 reason I go to the Walmart across the street is due to lines, by far. Not just 1 person long but like 4-6 people deep. I'd say 80% of the time. It blows my mind how often this is. I know everyone and their mom loves target but it's the piss poor management of registers that makes target a fraction of the revenues of Walmart. read more

Best Target I've been to. People are nice, friendly and will go through great depths to help you. The merchandise is always stocked and ready. The store is very organized and clean. I normally shop at Wal-Mart, but since target is closer I just come to this one. The Atmosphere is good here and the people who give you samples are very kind. The Optometrist here is very nice and thorough with her exams. As well as their optical sells the best brands for a somewhat reasonable price. Overall great location, and has everything you need. read more

Go to Walmart where you can pay for your items without being tortured. On a recent trip to this Target store there were NO checkout lanes open. I was forced to endure the torture of the universally loathed self check-out. I encountered numerous problems that several employees had to help me with during the checkout process. I was advised that the store was shorthanded and they had to close all of their check-out lanes. This was hard to understand because I saw many employees there, but none were taking money from customers. Walmart will now be my first choice because they always have at least one real check-out lane open regardless of the time of day. With this much automation and a lack of customer service and the "do it yourself" work at Target it's no wonder that Amazon is taking over everything. read more

Selection and service is always good but this review is just on the café inside. They don't have nachos anymore!! The lady said they got rid of them about 6 mths ago. They offer pretzels but also had a different cheese which doesn't taste as good. PLUS they don't have a lot of the prices listed on the menu board. I ended up getting a jamba juice smoothie and it was more icy/slushy than smoothie. Very disappointed here. read more

So as a super Target fan, you know I have to give this place 5 stars! Amazing. I have been coming to this West Plano Target since it was built, and I base all the other Targets I go to off of this one. Like when the layout is different at other Targets, I'm always thinking, "but the one at West Plano, it's located here!" The new layout of this store after its remodel is something I'm still not used to yet, but that doesn't detract from the awesomeness of the store at all! Just takes me a bit longer to find things (thus an excuse to browse longer and buy more stuff I don't need!). I buy literally everything from Target, and I use all of its provided services - online shopping, ship to store, Starbucks in store, Pizza Hut in store, etc. It's great! Target for life! read more

I do not shop at Target often but will stop here first before going to my most hated store Wal-mart. My trips here are very specific. I purchase Organic Sweet Leaf Green tea when I want to treat myself (it's only $1.99 for 64oz and anyone who drinks this knows that this is super cheap). I also stock up on green cleaning supplies or anytime I am looking for a trendy home decorating item. At times I also shop for clothing or accessories. The accessories more often than clothing which I find kind of pricey for this type of retail store unless you hit the clearance rack where you can find good deals. read more

We've came here every week lately. This target is by far the best one in the West Plano / North Dallas Area. I used to work at a Target in highschool. So i get a bit geeky when i walk in one. I start pointing out flaws and asinine stuff. Anyways, I really liked what they've done with the remodel thus prompting a much necessary review. The fitting room is a bit crappy though. Oh don't buy the vegetables and produce here it's way overpriced and it's not organic. You're better off going somewhere else. Just don't goto Walmart though. Be sure to also walk the endcaps you'll find lots of great clearance items here. read more

We went to this Target Portrait Studio to take family photos before the holidays, but we're not well taken care off because we used a Groupon deal. The manager, who is the main photographer, had her inexperienced assistant take the pictures and it shows. Many of the pictures were crooked, some with not enough or too much head room. They did not check if everyone in the photos was facing/looking at the camera and took one photo per pose and rushed us through the session. I wish they had used a more experienced photographer and taken a few photos in each pose so we could select the best ones. I would not recommend going to this studio to get your family pictures taken. read more

This was actually my first time visiting a super target. It seemed like a nice place, very clean and organized. My girlfriend and I found everything we needed, and you can always appreciate that there's a Starbucks inside. To me some of the prices were unnecessarily high compared to a Walmart super center, but the customer service was good, and at the time I went it was not crowded. A comfortable shopping experience. No one came out and assisted me from the drive up. So I went inside but wasn't expecting to have too.. I had an 8 week old puppy in my arm. Came into order pick up just to grab and go.. and one girl made an issue about my puppy....it's almost hotter then 90 degrees outside. I'm not about to let my puppy overheat in the car when I attempted to sit at the drive up/curbside pick up and no one assisted me. I had to let her know my puppy would be put in medical response service training for her to no longer bager me. ( she will be once she's old enough, she has to be of age first, but we have already paid for the courses) It was in and out. Didnt take longer then 30seconds and the order pickup was practically at the front door. The girl who works at order pickup at Plano Target is disrespectful. There was another girl there who eventually helped me, I appreciate her. As far as the other girl, the way she handled the situation rubbed me the wrong way. If I wasn't waiting so long outside I wouldn't have came in....then I came in and they complained. Last time I spend my money there. read more

This was my go-to spot for groceries when I lived in Dallas. Clean, organized, not ridiculously crowded & loud. I got use to the layout and always knew where to go as soon as I walked in the store. People ask me why I shop at Target for groceries cuz it's expensive, but I rather pay a little more (not Whole Foods more) to shop in peace. And sometimes, if you shop on the right day---their sale prices are better than Walmart's. I miss Super Target. read more

This is Target excellence. All you other Targets ain't %?!^. The Plano target is always stocked with fresh produce and all the kombucha flavors you could want. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they have a nice little area out back with staged patio furniture so you can sit down if you get tired or overwhelmed while browsing all of the beautiful merchandise. I'd also recommend swinging by if you are looking to decorate a new apartment or dorm room. This location always has lots of cute chairs, tables, rugs, lamps, etc. I bought a nice faux leather chest here for my living room last fall. It's a very nice faux leather chest. I'm never visiting the Beltline Target again. Plano Target has my business for life. read more

Called this morning as I had left some items in a cart. Called and spoke to Angie or April, which apparently they don't work at the store. However this mystery person knew who assisted me ?!?!? Anyway got the item I left and needed to return as well a few items not needed. The representative Abby and o assumed her manager treated my return as fraudulent. If I purchased something and didn't need it, then why hover around me as if I am committing a crime. This is not a very good feeing and will not be coming back to this particular store. read more

I ran in to pick up something to eat while waiting for an appointment elsewhere. I was in and out in just a few minutes - it was lunch time. I had the sweetest checkout girl I've ever encountered. She was disabled and I'm sure others may find it uncomfortable but she made a quick trip such a pleasant time. I'm generally not in Target very often but this was an exceptional event. The checkers are generally nice there but not as nice as this girl was. I hope she's still there the next time I have an appointment nearby. read more

I was so impressed with this super target because it had an amazingly large selection of plus size clothing and not just athletic or intimates but in all around apparel. Apparently they just remodeled and it looks fantastic. The fitting rooms were larger, cleaner and they did a fantastic job with this location. Too bad I live 15 miles away! read more

Seriously my favorite Target ever and I live about 15 minutes away. I literally trek all the way down the tollway to come here. Always clean, items are stocked, the remodel looks so good too. When they were remodling yes it was a bit disheveled but what do you expect? Didn't stop me from coming here lol! They had a very misleading promotion sign about red card new account. When I complained to the Cusotmer Service Manager, he did not listen to me, told me what he wanted to tell me, and walked away, saying he is not going to discuss the matter with me. Very unprofessional and rude. The sign was about 10% discount for the first purchase after opening a new red card account. Although I double-checked with the casher who helped me open the account on availability of 10% discount and he confirmed of it, the receipt came up with only 5% discount. When I asked the casher, he said the discount would be included in the statement. Later on the same day, I called the customer service centre and found that the discount should have been given at the point of the purchase. I went back to the store, saw the promotional sign was still there, and talked to the Customer Service Manager. He kept saying that the sign I saw and showed him was old and there are other new correct signs which he expects customers to see. Don't you think it is entirely up to a customer which sign to look at? If he did not want me to see that specific sign, it should have been removed in the first place. He also said he doubts about what the cashier mentioned to me, which obviously implies that I am lying. Although one of the staff members apologized for the confusion (she was good and friednly), the Manager got upset with my complaint (I think I am the one who deserves to be upset) and never apologized for the misleading sign. I guess the store has forgotten to remove the sign, however, it is their mistake and so long as the sign is there for whatever the reason is, I think they should provide with what is promised in it. read more

This is a store that you don't want to go to if you want to get rang up. You can ring yourself up at self-checkout but they NEVER have lanes open for checkout so just buy your stuff and do it yourself. Terrible customer service. Went to target with two babies and had to wait 20 minutes to get checked out since I couldn't do it myself with the kids. read more
