Love Target, as a whole. Some of their stores are cleaner than others, but I'd come here over Walmart or even Safeway, Lucky, etc bc not only is the price right on grocery items that they do have, but it just has a better vibe and I want to be there...like, 3 times a week, lol...Pinole Target was my local target for years and I remain loyal. I moved to Martinez and I still prefer Pinole to the P. Hill location. Nicer, cleaner. More orderly.. BUT - the photo dept has been a problem for me every time I order online to pick up at the store. We don't have your order, or oops we never printed it or can you resend it, we don't see it anywhere...I end up waiting at least 30 min and also have had to return after making a special trip out bc my order showed "complete" online. Never apologetic or understanding, ignoring me or even acting as if I did something wrong...leaving me waiting without any explanation while they try to figure things out. Speaking amongst themselves and/or passing it off to someone else and acting like I'm not standing there, waiting. Idk, I feel like target could do better at teaching their staff customer service skills, even basic. While I know that lacks many places nowadays, target def has the resources to do this. Either treat those customers like customers or if u don't have time/staff to do so then get rid of the photo dept here. It makes me feel disrespected as a loyal customer and I'm sure I'm not alone. read more

Use to work at this particular Target for 2 and a half years. From experience the people I worked with were mostly great, sure made the day go by faster. Plus the stuff that they do for the community as well as charities are just awesome! But the management themselves....well yeah anyway. As far as Targets goes, this particular one is pretty good. I applied for employment over the holidays. I went to a open interview with a group of people. We were interviewed as a small group, which was ok. I applied for seasonal work and the pharmacy (CA Licensed). I didn't hear back from anyone for a few weeks, so I followed up. Everyone I talked to didn't know who I was or any record of my interview. This made me upset so next time I went to Target I asked to speak to a particular person who "handled" this. I was at the customer service area. You know that's a busy area. This lady came out and loudly discussed my interview and said I was not "what they were looking for and was not their kind of people" I like some of Targets products, but hate going into that store. Worst Target in the Bay Area. As someone who shops at any number of Targets on a daily basis, this location is the one I avoid like the plague. Much of the time the shelves are understocked and what they do stock regularly is the lower end of Targets product assortment. Staff is extremely rude and act like you are the bane of their existence/a plague if you ask a simple question like where a product may be location. Understaffed with limited number of checkout lines leading to long queues. Parking is also terrible and they regularly have solicitors/smokers near the entrance. read more

This refers only to a Starbucks employee here. Morgan is the young ladies name. She is a dour person, not the warm and fuzzy kind. That's okay, she needs to make good Coffee and be polite ( which she barely manages). Today I went shopping and picked up a latte on my way out. We are in a major water shortage and she allowed the water to run while she waited on and prepared two drinks! Thinking she might be unaware, I asked if she knew it was running, she said "yeah", rinsed the pitcher out and took my order without turning the water off. There was nothing in the sink to run the water into! I said," you know, we are in the middle of a water shortage and you shouldn't leave it running." she gave me a defiant look and said "they didn't tell me not to run water". I replied that we are in a shortage and she again said that unless THEY tell her not to let it run, she would let it run. I did say to her that she should be smart enough not to have to wait to be told and that I would be in touch with them (Target? Starbucks?) to let them know. I will be making phone calls tomorrow. Morgan, you should have some awareness of things bigger than you that effect us all, including you. You aren't too young to understand that we live in this world together and our treatment of it will either sustain us or make us suffer for our abuse of it. I have been a valued Target shopper for years. YEsterday was my last time. I ran into the store to pick up a few things while my mom and my son waited in the car. I had my wallet and my iI callePhone sitting in the top of the cart. As I turned around to pick something off of one of the shelves, someone stole my iPhone out of the cartI noticed it was gone when I was leaving the store. I immediately ran back to the checkstands, checked the cart and then went to customer service to have them call the number for me. It rang several times and then went to voicemail. Then I called it again and it went directly to voicemail. Obviously whoever stole it shut it off. I then asked security to check their video cameras. They said they could check when I was at the register. They would not let me see the cameras and said the only other person who could see it would be Pinole Police. So I called them to look at it since the Target security could not determine if the phone was in the cart at the register. The police officer was very helpful and said that there was no phone in my cart at the time of check-out. I asked security and the Target manager to follow me through the store on the cameras to see who stole my phone and they said that was too much work. REALLY??? So it is ok for you customers to get robbed in your store and you are not willing to help? Why have all the cameras then??? I will never be going back to Target again if it is totally OK with them for this to happen in their stores. And to the Lead of the Day Shannon, you are absolutely useless! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Besides the store being ridiculous under staffed and long line my low rating is due to a much more serious issue. As I was picking out shoes for my 4 year old, in my peripheral vision I see one of the employees name 'Luis' (glasses with lots of tattoos) almost smash into a toddler as he was hastily pushing one cart into two others. He then had the audacity to say 'watch out kid!', as he motions to push her out the way. In disbelief in what I just saw I ask the employee 'Really man? She's just a little kid?'. He then replied 'you need to watch your kid!'(which wasn't even my kid) as he walked off. Obviously, this frustrate me so as I replied he shouted out to me that 'I need to calm down!'. The child then proceeded to run back traumatized, screaming, and crying to her mom. Had this been my daughter, who was about the same age as the little girl, things would've have already gotten physical by this point. Instead, I decided to find a manager. After talking to about three different employees, two of which I had to wait for them to finish their personal conversation and giggling before I could ask anything, then got directed to the front of the store and waited in line for about another 5-10 minutes. I finally spoke with a manager and luckily the mother of the child was their as well and could reinforce what just happened. Although the acting a manager was pleasant and seemed concerned the employee remained on the floor the entire time. Nor did I see him reprimanded or even talked with. In fact, he remained by the check stand where the mother and children were at. I'm sure that made them real comfortable! They could've at least asked him to do something on the other side of the store away from the family at that point. The whole situation was a mess and no one at target genuinely seemed to care. read more

Cashiers and managers here are a joke.Went to a line and was literally standing there for at least 5 mins.Saw the cashier turn off her light,so we thought we were the last ones for her line.A second later she looks at us and said "I turned off my light this lady infront of you is the last one I can take" I said are you talking to us?Or the people behind us because we were already in your line 5 mins before you even turned off your light.She said "whatever then I'll take you"and rolled her eyes.Second later her manager comes up telling US she can take us (ALL of our stuff is already on the conveyer belt)and said this cashier has already turned off her light!Urgh whatever.What also pissed me off is that there was a lady with her grandkid in front of us and her grandkid kept laughing and smiling at my kid and the lady kept laughing.And she didn't even say anything that we were behind her the whole time.Thank you lady for that! When we got to the managers line,I told her we were there for 5 mins before she turned off her light.She said with attitude "I had to send her to lunch"NO SORRY NO NOTHING!This cashier and manager must've been HANGRY or had a bad meal for lunch.Because they had the worst attitude.Word of advice don't go here around meal times. read more

I am a huge Target fan and yes, even if I do not need anything, my family and I try to visit at least once a week. It's a happy place after all. Reasonable, quality and up-to-date items! All changed now, well at least for this branch. Even if Pinole branch is the one closer to my house, I will avoid Pinole branch and only come here when I need something really urgent. Last May 28, 2016 (Saturday) early afternoon, my daughter decided that she wanted to camp out in our backyard. We have never camped before so we decided that it will be a good idea to camp out the backyard since we have a tent sitting in the garage for a year or so. The tent was bought at Target and it was 50% off at the time we bought it (that's why we bought it and stored it in the garage, coz it was on sale!). Ok, so when I unzipped the bag of the tent and pulled out the box, I was surprised that it was an opened box. I was still ok until I saw that it was used with some dust on it and the main tent was missing! How am I going to use it? By the way, with the 50% off, the cost of the tent is around $90. AT TARGET: Went to customer service and do not have any receipt on hand. The only proof that it was from Target was the clearance red sticker that was on the box. I stated what happened and the guy was nice enough to explain to me that since it's been a year or so he cannot track it in their system. I was a bit upset at him because he didn't show enough effort to see what he can do but overall I would say, he's just doing his job. I acted upset because it is a significant amount of money and I felt like I was a victim with a useless huge tent on my hand. I left the tent with him while I was buying a new one. Thinking of what's the next step to do, I decided to talk to the manager. So, I asked for the manager. Even before telling the manager what happened, she knew what my frustration was all about already (the guy told the manager while I was shopping for a new tent). While I was stating the situation was to the manager (I didn't get her name but she is a Filipino), the manager was giving me an accusatory look and all she said after I finished talking was "Well, it's been over a year and there's a part missing". Nothing else, aside from that phrase she was mainly just giving me a not so friendly look. I realized that no matter how I explain myself to them, they will just continue on accusing me that I was the one who took the main part of the tent out and just to make money out of it, returning the other parts of the tent with the box. So I just decided to leave. I am not that type of person who lies just to make extra money! I am really upset with this situation, felt judged and accused with the unprofessional attitude of the manager when the truth is I am the victim here. I don't want the same thing to happen again so I am just completely avoiding this place. Everything is ok now, I was able to return the tent in a different branch. I never even got a hint of feeling judged or accused there. Instead, they felt sorry for me having to deal with this incident. Every time I buy groceries at this Target they are out of stock of at least two items I want. Today they were out of stock of five items I wanted. Then the cashier put the milk sideways into a bag. By the time I got home the milk was spilled onto my car trunk floor, and on the stairs up to my apartment. Never again will I shop at Target. I have loved this store for years. But lately their customer service is really bad. I don't know what is going on. They have about 25 +\- employees working, opening boxes and such and only two check stands open, plus their self checkout stands. Today around 11 AM I was in target and they had only two stands open with 8 to 10 people in each line. I went to use the self checkout stand. I was scanning my items and a price on one item was higher than I thought so I didn't want the item. There wasn't anyone helping with the self checkout stand so I asked the cashier for help. She had to leave the check stand to help me. Then I was ringing up more items and one was too light for the holding area to acknowledge it and so the machine jammed up. The cashier was too busy to help me and I couldn't find anyone else that could help me so I left everything on the checkstand and the items my basket and walked out of the store. I hope they realize, without an employee watching the front end, especially the self checkout area, people walk out without paying for all of their items. I doubt anyone from target will read this, they probably don't check yelp out. This isn't the first time that I've had this issue with their customer service. I doubt I'll shop there as often. read more

This Target location has a lot to offer, compared to some of the other Targets in East Bay Area. I used to assume that all Targets carried the same brands, but was quickly discovered this wasn't the case. I try to use eco-friendly products whenever possible and Target Pinole has a pretty good selection of those, like Seventh Generation, Method, & Annie's Organics. Overall, the store is well kept. The bathrooms could be touched up more often. They have family-sized dressing rooms that moms can use to breastfeed their kids in private and the fitting room attendants are pretty nice about it. I love checking our their clearance sections, especially the toys, because they have a pretty good stock of items, not just the ugly leftovers they couldn't sell at regular price. At the end of summer, they had up to 70% off many of their toys, including Thomas the Train and Toy Story. I recently bought a Tony Hawk child's bike for over half off. I prefer going to this store over Albany and Walnut Creek. read more

I think everyone loves target ! I don't have anything bad to say about this target . Yes you became a magnet when you walk into the store. If you are a mom then it's something serious, DO NOT GO THERE WITH YOUR KIDS AND HUSBAND, sometimes I'm just there for a couple things and i walk out with an additional 20 items. The curbside service is great but you can't purchase any perishable food, so therefore that's not an option for me. I have no negative comments to say about customer service. read more

Went here to return a product. I saw that Sophia was handling the returns . And a customer was yelling and being rude to Sophia. Sophia handled the situation very well. She spoke back with manners and kept calm. Sophia gave great customer service while keeping her cool while a rude customer was yelling at her and telling her how she was doing a horrible job. read more

So i hate to do this but there was a line that was crossed. At night I went shopping at target I was in the hair products section and I notice someone watching me. I look to see it was a off duty target employee watching me see if I was stealing. Poor management as for pharmacy hours posting on website and on the voice mail is concerned. If you call Target pharmacy at Pinole the voice mail says it opens 8am to 12am Monday to Friday and the same hours are posted on the website. the manager at Target Pinole needs to wake up and update the hours on web page and change the voice mail so that the customers are not misled and they do not waste their gas and time as i did today when i went to pick up my prescription at 8:30 am and the pharmacy was closed and they posted hours of opening which were different from the web page and voice mail. read more

This was my favorite Target. It is now the worst! In the past few months, we have experienced a continual downgrade. There are less and less team members to check out, often with long lines. Customer service on the floor is scarce or nonexistent! And worse is the absence of products. The grocery section is constantly out of stock or not restocked due to a shortage of employees? There are expired dates on perishable products and the produce can be overripe or empty. They are out of refrigerated items for weeks. We often are there 2 or 3 times within a week and they are still empty with the same dates, often past due. The bathrooms are most often filthy and not supplied or checked, It is very disappointing to see this store go downhill. This has become common knowledge locally and even in other Targets. There are many good employees here, so it must be the management or above that does not care about the state of this store. They are under-stocked, understaffed and under-concerned! read more

I love coming to this Target, convenient for location and they always have everything I need, but I do not like when they don't abide by their standard of "If there is a different price than what it pulls up on the register and you can physically show proof they have to change it". I recently came and they had a sale on Gilligan & Omalley and Xhilaration panties 7 for $24 or $4 each, so I did go a little crazy when I saw that and got a whole bunch because who can pass up on that?! I got to the register and she started to ring up everything that I had gotten and the register wasn't taking the promotion. I had to talk to a shift supervisor for her to tell me that promotion ended 3/11 and they couldn't override it and wouldn't do anything for the trouble of that. This target location has gone to crap. The customer service is no longer there, they are always under stock on everything, the workers have major attitudes, the lines are long, and most of all its like Walmart now. Every time I come to this target location it's always messy, stuff not in the right place, items shows clearance but actually isn't. They have employees who can not speak or understand English. How can they help you find an item if they don't know what you are talking about? When you ask them something they will say yes but when it's time to take you to the item or finding it, they'll scratch their head and say I don't know. When you ask for the manager because you want someone who can help you, they get scared and start to act like they know what they are doing. What's going on target? I know times are tough but don't let your values down! Going to this target location is like going to Walmart! You can't expect too much from them. And if you do expect a lot be prepare to get nothing. I rather drive to the target in Albany which is 30 minutes away then go to this target location. The target in Richmond have better guest service, cleaner, and you will always find what you're looking for. I had purchased items at the Vallejo Store and when I got home I had found that the most important item was missing from the bag. The store had just closed 15 minutes earlier. I called the store and a girl answered the phone and I explained the situation to her and she asked for me to hold on and she came back to tell me that HER MANAGER said that the store was closed. I asked to speak to the MANAGER and she places me on hold when she comes back she says that the MANAGER does not want to take my call, I thought that was bad that the MANAGER did not want to talk to a customer that just had a bad experience. WOW well I asked for the names of the STORE MANAGER and the GENERAL MANAGER and the person that answered the phone could not give me the names correctly. When I said I wanted the telephone number to the General Manager she said it was the Stores # which I said no General Manager would use the Store telephone #, Target has people answering the phone that really shouldn't be. Then she transferred me to the Store Manager that now that person's title is now a LOD which I had to ask what was a LOD is since I don't work for Target how would I know what a LOD is. She tells me a LEADER ON DUTY. Now a woman gets on the phone telling me that she can't get me my items and that if I come in tomorrow she will give me my items and refund me my money for them, which I found to be really insulting, I am not a poor person granted I am not a rich person either but I didn't not ask to get anything free I just wanted the items that the checker did not give me and I paid for them.When I asked her for her name she tells me it is 20 to 11 and I said that's not a name and she hung up on me...........I tell you I am no longer going to patron Target and I will be informing my family which is LARGE boycott Target, I get better service at Walgreens and Walmart. I hope anyone who reads this will boycott as well. Target does not appreciate to have the working mans money since they treat their customers like dirt. read more

I cant stand this target. Everyone that works there has an attitude and always does or tells u the wrong things and then when what they say comes out to not be true they make u out to be the one in the wrong. I went into this store today to buy wic items for my daughter. I went and got all of her fav items and went to the register. There were only 2 registers open and hella people waiting. There were atleast 5 workers in a circle having their own little conversations including the store manager and didnt bother to open another register. A woman in front of me was trying to purchase batteries and they rang up more than what the sign said they were. She asked to speak with the manager and he wouldnt even come over to the register he just said no shes in the wrong. The lady went over to the display and brought the cashier the sign that shows the price and the cashier took it to the manager and again he said no the shopper was in the wrong. The cashier was getting fed up herself so she just went ahead and honored the price for the woman. Ok then its my turn. She scanned my milk with no problem. She then told me to sign all my vouchers and then she started to scan my food when i handed them to her. She said it wouldnt ring up because it said it wasnt a WIC item. I told her i come there or the Mcdonald location every month and get the same foods for my daughter so thats a lie. She then put her light on to let the other workers know she needed help. After waiting almost 10 min no one would come over and i had to go track the manager down. He came over and then tried scanning the food and said no these arent fruits or veggies so its not going to work. I told him these are the only foods my daughter eats and i get them every time. He argued me down and said no i dont cuz they wouldnt accept it. I told him i had been goin to this target and mcdonald for almost a year getting the same foods. He kept telling me no they werent going to give me the food. I told him if his employee hadnt told me to sign my vouchers already i would have been happy to go to another store because they had poor customer service anyway. He told me oh well i needed to go back to my WIC office and get new ones because he wasnt going to do it. I then told him i wasnt going to leave until he gave me the items and i told him there was even a WIC sign on the shelf where i had gotten the food from. I took him over there and he saw the sign and said well thats not right and still that i had to go change my vouchers. I told him i wasnt leaving the store without my items because it wasnt my fault that his employees dont know how to put signs on the right items and that they dont know how to deal with WIC customers by having me sign my vouchers as if everything was all fine. I was in line behind that lady and dealing with my own situation for almost an hour. I feel that just because i came in there to get WIC food for my child that he thought he could talk to me or treat me any kind of way and that is not right. I will not be using target ever again for food or any other thing. Every employee that i encountered or witnessed in this visit was rude. Eveyone at that store should be fired. read more
