I can't say enough good things about this office- after a hellish nightmare with eyeglass world, i got on the target optical website booked an appointment online for that same day. got to the office-the front desk staff was amazingly friendly, they got me back right away, dr ziff(?) very was friendly and thorough, and my exam was done in 15 minutes! i wasn't planning on buying glasses there and they gave me my prescription with no pressure or hassle- i would definitely recommend this office! read more

The staff at Patel Optometry were excellent! The appointment was flawless, painless, and well organized from every aspect: the check-in process, the new patient paperwork, the exam, selecting eyeglasses, and going over insurance. I highly recommend you go here for your next eye exam. The exam was thoroughly explained every step of the way, the dr was extremely polite and streamlined the entire process without feeling like you're being rushed along. The operation is like a very smooth, oiled machine. Absolutely fantastic! read more

Had an eye exam a couple days ago and I have to say the best I've had in a while. When my eye doctor retired 10 years ago I thought I'd never like another doctor, til now. I've been to many places and finally found an eye doc that knows what he's doing!! I ordered ray ban prescription sunglasses and can't wait til they come in. The have an awesome assortment of ray bans and the girl helping was fantastic !! read more

The service here is TERRIBLE! Right from the beginning, every aspect of my experience there was painful! I went in for an exam and glasses, and the doctor there was very uncaring. She mumbled most of the way through and really rushed me out. When it came time to choose a frame, one of the attendants would not leave me alone. She seemed to be rushing me too and talking over me to point out frame after frame. Finally, when I found one I liked, she sat me down to sell me lenses. However, instead of just explaining the options one by one, she focused on the type of lens first and, with complete immaturity, stressed over and over again how "clear" they were. She said that they DIDNT HAVE ANY GLARE, that they were perfect! She was like the worst kind of used car salesman-- blatantly over the top without actually giving any information. After some time, a clerk in the back piped up and said that they were actually the lenses that get dark in the sunlight, and that she was WRONG. And although they said they'd call me after a couple of weeks, I ended up calling THEM after nearly a MONTH in order to check the status! The woman said, "Oh, they just arrived today!" which just has to be a complete lie. Lastly, when I finally got my glasses, I discovered that they had a tremendous amount of glare, despite all the hype, and that it would be $80 extra if I wanted no glare. I was livid. To sum it up, the staff here is very childish, uncaring, and unprofessional, and they really lack basic understanding of their own products. I am never coming back, and I advise you to steer clear. read more

I have a new job, new insurance, and weakening vision so I made an appointment with Dr. Patel. Boy, was I pleasant ly surprised!. He is efficient, personable, and very encouraging! I was very impressed by his demeanor and plan to become a permanent patient of his. He operates out of the Target at Spectrum mall, which is close and has convenient office hours . The office staff is pleasant and the frame selection is affordably priced. My glasses were ready in a week; overall, the experience has been stellar ,:) read more

Update on my experience with Target Optical: Since my recent bad experience Dr. Patel himself has been going above and beyond to finding me the right fit for my contacts. He contacted me himself to have me come back and followed up with my eye exam. My updated review is strictly for Dr Patel himself. I will be going to Target for Dr Patel only. I do recommend anyone looking of an eye doc then to schedule with him, but make sure you verify that the appointment will be with him. You won't be disappointed. read more

Appointment made easily & all was on time etc. Great experience. .. I was disappointed that ordering contacts is a pain so I went to get a copy of my script & whoa! Rude rude rude. It's MY prescription. I don't need attitude. Probably won't go back. Unfortunately. ..it left THAT bad an impression. read more

Great customer service the young lady (Kris, I believe was her name) who helped me was very patient with me and took her time to help me find the perfect frames. She was very knowledgeable and knew what frames would compliment my face shape. Not only did they have great service the turn around time was amazing as well. I went in on a Saturday I was told I'd get them in 2 weeks and I got my 2 pairs of glasses 3 days later. I recommend the location 100%. read more

Went here on a whim just based on other reviewers, and have to say I was not disappointed. They were able to get me in the next day, and although I did not bring my glasses, they rescheduled an eye dialation for when I picked my contact order up. Dr. Patel was able to squeeze me in between patients even though I was about ten minutes late (coming from another doctors appt). The service from start to finish was great. And the gentleman at the front desk was even cracking jokes to all the people waiting in the lobby area to keep them entertained. Overall great service, and I will definitely be back! read more

Even though I did not purchase glasses here at the end I was given very good customer service by Tad. Pretty funny guy and down to earth. Answered all my questions and thanks to him I became more educated on the different type of lenses. (Most shops offer the same type of lenses but with different names). At the end with insurance I was better off purchasing a name brand at LensCrafters but I will refer friends with no insurance to come here for the discounts. read more

Horrible when it came to them helping me pick out frames. According to online experts based on the shape of my fame they were putting me In all the frames that weren't meant for my face. And after put all the ugly frames on me they liked the frames I picked when I first walked in. Their knowledge on how to pick a pair of frame is horrible. Do not trust them. The lenses that they overcharge for are cheaper at LensCrafters. I even called LensCrafters while in front of the lady and all the scratch resistant, UV resistance all those special things that they're overcharging you for is included at LensCrafters. LensCrafters protection plan is $35 was included and at target it's not included that's additional they're overpriced for the company that are. I bought the glasses came back out to my car and went right back in to return the glasses and she knew why she even asked me is it the frames or is it something else. I didn't want to argue with her so I just told her no it's just I'm not sure about my purchase right now. read more

This store is my new home. The doctor and staff were hands down, the best i have ever dealt with. As a person who has worn eyeglasses for pretty much my whole life, i have been to many optical stores and most leave me feeling like i have been taken advantage of. However, as soon as i walked in, everyone was so welcoming and in a great mood and actually wanted to help me pick out a frame that looked great. I picked some prescription Ray Ban glasses and sunglasses for less than what i paid at my last doctor. I hope everyone at least stops in and checks it out before lowering your standards and picking some low end place around the corner. read more

Have not received my glasses yet but I was just there 2 business days ago, but I wanted to review Dr. Patel and the staff. for 10 years I have been jerked around by optometrists and their offices, this is the first AMAZING experience I've had. Dr. Patel was helpful and VERY informative. the staff was amazing and very clear on how to use my benefits. read more

I've been wearing glasses for 15 years and I've never had such a great experience at an appointment! Dr. Patel explained everything he was doing and why. He was so friendly and thorough. I don't have insurance and Larissa helped me find the right glasses and contacts for a deal. She was really fun and knowledgable. I literally left in a way better mood than I arrived in. Did not expect that. read more

I bought my glasses a little over 3 months ago at this Target Optical. I'm not one to go into one of the bigger chains, with all those frames and make a decision, so Target was perfect. They have the latest styles, and the girl that was helping me gave me some good feedback. Now fast forward a little over 3 months, and I somehow got a scratch in the middle of my lens. I stopped at Target to get my glasses tightened, and ask them about the scratch. The gentleman that was helping me, looked up my records and told me I was just beyond my 90 days, however he would honor the warranty, and fix my lens for free! He could have easily told me my warranty had run out, and I would need to pay, but he didn't. And that made my day! I would recommend this store for frames! read more

I am always very picky about buying glasses, after all it's a very personal thing and you wear them all the time for people to see. I visited the Optical at one of my favorite Targets when hubby and I visit Phoenix and I had a marvelous experience with a delightful Optical Manager named Fran. She was so attentive and understood how personal glasses are giving me all the time I needed making many great suggestions. She was bubbly, friendly and knowledgeable and had great frame taste and even dressed fashionably. I haven't had this kind of personal attention in forever. This is a great place to get your glasses and the doctor who did my exam, I cant say enough about his awesome bedside manner. read more

This optical is wonderful! I picked up my finished product and I have to say from start to finish that it was the absolute best experience buying glasses that I have ever had. The staff was friendly and accommodating on the phone when I booked the appointment. The Doctor was on time with his exams and he explained everything. BEST exam I have ever had. He handed me off to the staff and they were amazing. We had a GREAT time looking at all the frames and they were very proud of all their new product. They explained everything to me too. Perhaps the disgruntled customer in the offputting review didn"t appreciate enthusiasm? As a consumer I like to shop where the staff are happy and friendly. They called me BEFORE they said my glasses would be done and I got a great fitting. Good price, awesome friendly service and an awesome Doctor. Who could ask for more? I highly recommend Target Optical at Spectrum Mall. read more
