I called yesterday to see if they take walk ins and the lady who answered the phone told me they usually don't but I could probably come if someone missed their appointment. Someone ended up not coming so they called me and I came up there. The visit started out great the staff went out of their way to squeeze me in as a walk-in. However I don't think the doctor like that because during my visit I was completely disregarded and not taken seriously. The doctor didn't take my concerns with my eyes serious at all. The prescription he gave me didn't feel accurate at all and I don't feel like it's going to improve my vision. I explained to him how my eyes cross a lot so I have a prism he wasn't even going to increase my prism until I asked him to. Then he just kept going on with the appointment and my prescription even after I told him it was blurry and I couldn't see anything! It was a complete waste of time and very disappointing. I'm going to have to go to a completely different office and get a new exam all because he felt some type of way about me being a walk in. read more

Who knew that you could get excellent eye care at a freaking Target? I sure didn't. Though, this spot is tucked away inside a SuperTarget. I guess SuperTargets do really have everything. So I arrived at my parents' place for Christmas with a horrible eye something or other. Red, itchy, light sensitivity, blah, blah. Mom, of course, promptly drags me off to the eye doctor. And while I have insurance, I don't have my insurance card with me. But no worries, Target Optical has a flat-rate $30 "red eye check". That's pretty awesome. And all of the follow-up visits were included in that $30. And the eye docs were actually wonderful. I saw 2 of the 3 that rotate here. Both were very thorough and knowledgeable. They took a lot of time to explain things. (Not to me, but to my mom - medical things freak me out so I had to leave the room so the grownups could discuss my poor eye.) But apparently, both docs showed my mom pictures and everything else. They were definitely in the exam room a long time discussing my eye. And my mom really appreciated that and was quite impressed. After my experiences here, my parents now even plan to change eye docs and start coming here for all their eye care needs. So yeah, go get your eyes checked out at Target. read more

Definitely not going back here! We will never recommend this optical to anyone! It's way to expensive even thou they charge our insurance. They charge overpriced! It not worth it! The customer service is way off! The person who's in charged of helping us is so rude! Never going back and recommend this optical!!!! read more

Dr. Brad Carpenter is great, and for the past three years i've been coming here for my eye care and enjoyed my experience. Unfortunately, i've had some very bad experiences this year. Specifically the last two times i've went in. (Not a bad experience from the doctor but from the staff) Rude, unknowledgeable, and generally unhelpful. read more

I would not recommend Supertarget Optical-Papillion. We have gone there for years and always enjoyed the friendly staff and Dr. Carpenter. There is new staff and new dr's. They are not friendly at all. My daughter had an appointment that was made a month out. They called to move her appointment with less than 4 days notice because the Dr. Decided to take the day off. We were fine changing days but I made sure to let them know that we were in a time constraint for the new appointment. They assured me they would rush us through for changing our original appointment. We arrived early and reminded them of our need for a rush appointment. After waiting over 40 minutes and still hadn't seen the Dr. We had to leave without seeing the Dr. because of our time constraint. No real apology from the staff. What a waste of time. So Dr. Kostal fitted me for contacts over a year ago. She was really awesome and caring... I loved that she was able to give me samples as I continued to find the right fit. Fast forward to a year later - we moved to Florida. I went to a Target in Sarasota, FL only to get rude customer service. Their suggestion was for me to "call Nebraska and have them help you". I called and spoke with Amy (Amy... you are an ANGEL!). I told Amy my situation: I'm getting married in two weeks, I wear glasses everyday, and I'm only looking to see if I could get a sample of contacts to get me through the wedding. Amy was absolutely kind, helpful, and sympathized with me (her daughter is also getting married in December.. she gets it). She told me if I have a friend in NE that could pick them up that morning, she would set aside a sample of 5 per eye. SUCCESS!!! I ordered two pairs of glasses and even with my insurance the total I spent was over $400.00. I have a single vision rx and was told my glasses would take 7-10 business days to arrive. Both pairs were made with the wrong prescription. I was told they would put a 'rush' on the re-do. I was unhappy with the mistake, but expected the glasses would be corrected and back to me prior to 7 days. Last Thursday I called to see if they were in and was told someone would check and call me right back, this did not happen. I called Friday and was told the glasses had arrived and I could pick them up after work. I get there and was told that they could only find one of the two pair. Two employees looked for 25 minutes, then looked at the paperwork only to find that the missing pair was not shipped yet. I called again today and the missing glasses are still not in. The office manager said that a 'rush' could not be accomplished by the lab. I said it is not acceptable for employees to say this to customers if it is not true. She said he may have been 'a little scatterbrained' because the glasses were sent back for correction. For the money spent I expect much better service. I will not be back. read more

Over priced.... Over charged for my sons glasses and couldnt explain the charges when asked. Blamed it on the "insurance shouldnt put out those cards". In reference to the defined coverage's on my eye care insurance. read more
