I decided to go with them because of their quality care and professionalism. Every step of the process went smoothly. The process started with a consultation, during which several tests and examinations were completed. Following this, the team discussed the diagnosis and treatment options. I found out that I was a better candidate for ICL surgery then for lasik, and Kugler is one of the top ICL centers in the nation. They do have payment plans available. The day of the procedure went well. Staff makes sure to keep you as comfortable as possible. I'm so thankful for my vision, and it has been such a gift to be able to wake up with good sight. Highly recommend!

Kugler got me from 20:400 to 20:25 without glasses, and I couldn't be happier. From the moment you walk through the door, they genuinely care about you as a customer/patient. I was a bit uneasy going in for the procedure, and they calmed my nerves and gave me a valium to help me calm down before the procedure. Procedure then went off without a hitch and I was reading road signs without glasses on the ride home. Free fresh cookies and beverages in the waiting room is a nice touch too.

Dr. Maw and his team were so kind and helpful. After waking up from the nap, I couldn't believe that I could see and had NO pain. Totally life changing and worth every penny. I'm not one to leave a review, But this was The Most Disappointing and Discouraging experiences…read morethat I've likely ever had. After the initial online consultation, the at facility consultation, the numerous messages and emails from LASIK Plus stating, "congratulations on starting your Lasik journey","your Lasik team is really looking forward to meeting you","we look forward to seeing you soon and helping your change your life through better vision", "your Lasik team will be reaching out to you", help us customize your lasik journey. " we are so excited about your upcoming treatment day". The date arrived. Less than 45 minutes before the appointment, I was walking out the door to go to the procedure when I received a phone call. I saw it was LasikPlus and thought that they were calling to see if I have arrived yet, but that was not the case, stating that due to personal matters, they would need to reschedule. I understood that personal matters happen, but I had made a substantial investment over the previous weeks and was excited to say the least to finally be rid of glasses after 43 years. Despite this extremely discouraging phone call, I proceeded to reschedule a new date for the Lasik procedure. After another wave of messages, touting procedure day. I tried not to think about it and knew that the date would come, but as the date neared I found myself growing with Anticipation! Everything I did, I thought, this is the last time I will be doing this with glasses and could not wait to be rid of them. Finally, the date arrived. I took a half a day off work again same as I had done the original schedule date, lined up my transportation to and from as Lasik plus requires, and finally was time to walk out the door, the last time that I would walk out the door wearing glasses (Or So I thought). While driving to the facility, (Less Than One Half Hour before my scheduled appointment), my phone rang. I dreaded to look at the caller ID. To my dismay, it was LasikPlus and I knew this wasn't going to be good. When I answered the phone, the person on the other end broke the news to me that they were having complications with their laser machine, and that we would need to reschedule again. I Fell Speechless At this point, I knew I could not trust my vision to them moving forward. After a month of consultations, multiple emails, several phone calls, confirming my appointment time and date, and over 19 messages about my upcoming procedure I felt My Heart Sink. There was without a doubt, no way that I could move forward with LasikPlus, after yet again, another Disappointing outcome on the date of the procedure. I personally could not move forward with them after this news. When receiving both phone calls from their staff notifying me that they would need to reschedule, they were very apologetic. I feel that they were well-versed in this and did not truly understand the scope of what led up to me, leaving to go to their facility on procedure day. The procedure doctor has told me in multiple texts that he's done over 40,000 procedures. I feel like at this point that I was nothing but a number. LasikPlus, claims per their website to be, "Omaha's #1 Lasik provider" I have found them to be Omaha's #1 Biggest Disappointment, when it comes to my Lasik procedure! This has become an Extremely Discouraging process to a procedure that is supposed to be life-changing and give a person great satisfaction and joy. I will, without a doubt, be seeking "Professional" Lasik services elsewhere. Larry B

The office is very professionally run and my initial consultation was extremely thorough using state of the art equipment. After reviewing the test results, the surgeon came in and gave me detailed information on my surgical options. Once I made my decision, I was given cost estimates, broken down by what insurance would pay and what I would have to pay. I was then scheduled for surgery. I've never used contacts since I couldn't stand the thought of putting things on my eyes, so obviously I was nervous about getting surgery on my eyes. But the initial surgery on my left eye went extremely well and the surgical experience was actually interesting. I went back the next day for my right eye and that went well too. The entire staff was very professional and caring, and I got hot cookies both days after surgery to make sure I tolerated the anesthetic. I selected lens that would correct my astigmatism and am so glad I did. Today I went to my regular doctor for follow up, and I now have 20/20 distance vision without glasses. I've worn glasses to correct my astigmatism since 1977 so having my distance vision back is fantastic. The overall experience at Vance Thompson Vision was first class. Besides the important medical aspects, they had a great waiting area for my wife with free cookies and a coffee machine that makes a tasty cappuccino.

Once I got in the operating room, it went so much more smoothly than expected. I think there was a nurse there just to hold my hand the whole time. The doctor had a calming presence and he explained exactly what was happening at each step, down to the seconds each step would take. I was done quickly and could see! I saw them the next day for my 24 hour checkup and when everything looked great, I was good to go. All my follow ups have been with my regular optometrist. I currently still have 20/10 vision, which I never even had with glasses or contacts!

I saw Dr Cleaver, who was kind, gentle, and used a program to show me exactly the size and location of the scratches on my eye (there were 2), after he measured them. He then put a contact on my eye to protect it as it healed. Oh, I should mention here the lovely numbing drops they used. Those were fantastic! I ended up calling the office before close because my eye hurt much worse than before I had the contact placed. The tech I talked with asked me if I was using the drops Dr Cleaver gave me - she mentioned 2 drops, but I'd only been given one. She said "the gel drops?" And I said, no. Should I have some? She said no. Turns out, yes, that would have made my experience significantly less painful. I don't wear glasses and therefore have never worn contacts. The next morning I called to be seen early because I was in excruciating pain throughout the night and still that morning. (My appt was at 4) and they got me right in, which I was thankful for yet again! I went to the other location to see Dr Cleaver who was again great, and the tech I saw made the whole experience way more pleasant. Dr. Cleaver said my eye was very dry which was contributing a lot to the pain. He removed the contact, his bedside manner was great especially when I couldn't stop twitching haha. He used a more dull instrument on my eye so he wouldn't poke my eye (big YAY for that) and set up a follow up so I'd be able to see a dr if for any reason my eye wasn't okay. But I canceled because it was. His instructions were great, other than the lack of instruction for the eyeball that had never used a contact before. Oh, and the wait was very long the first time and pretty long the 2nd, which contributes to the star off. But I recommend and would go again without question if needed.

I've been seeing Dr Ingvoldstad for a retinal condition. He has incredibly steady hands, he keeps up with the latest research, and he has an assuring manner. If you have a serious retina problem, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. Likewise, the office staff are friendly, competent, and helpful. While my medical needs have been well attended to, the MEC practice could do better at caring for me as a whole person. There has been no support at all for my psychological needs as I dealt with the terror of potential blindness. No advice was available to help me make the best use of my remaining vision. I'm extraordinarily well equipped to seek out information and support from other sources, so if I felt disoriented and stranded and helpless, I can only imagine the torture most patients with serious eye condiditons are going through. Adding to the stress, the offices feel impersonal; patients are constantly shuttled from place to place and from person to person (the Dodge office is a little better than the California St office in this regard). Visits are inconsistently coded, so I can't predict how much it will cost, even for identical procedures. Sometimes the differences are in my favor, and sometimes not, so I haven't protested and I just hope the errors will even out in the end. I've had problems paying bills online and through the new, buggy app.

Right, wrong, or indifferent, there has been reasons as to why I've had difficulties with this horrible practice and it all boils down to how staff are lead and their is ZERO positive moral and very poor leadership. The owner should feel ashamed for her behavior. The last time I spoke with the doctor, she called me acting concerned about what had happened the previous day, and then cut me off mid sentence and began bullying me herself. When I hung up on her, she kept calling me back. I finally had to tell her to stop calling because it was beginning to be harassment. I hate to say it but I think my unfair treatment was due to me being Hispanic. Sad but true.
