I am an Omaha teacher and coach, so my vision is very important to me. I didn't grow up wearing glasses , so after turning 45 I really had a hard time dealing with wearing contacts as e wer well as glasses, especially since I still play sports. This year I decided to try Lasik so I went to Lasik Plus and they were extremely helpful and friendly. They did tell me I would probably eventually need reading glasses because I was really trying to correct my distance vision. The first problem I had was that the drops they told me to put in every hour would leave a crust on my eye lashes that would break off and get in my eyes. It was bothersome, but not major. I tried to call them and it took them nearly a week to get back with me because I had huge doubts in my progress because I was still seeing blurry after a month and even two months. When I finally was contacted by them, I made an appointment to go in and they assured me that there would be improvement, but I had to be patient and keep using the wetting drops. They said it be more notice improvement after six months so I said ok and continued on my way. I'm in my sixth month and there has been noticeable improvement, but one eye is great close up but the distance of that eye is not equal to the other one. Some might say that's monovision, but that is not what I asked for. There have been no follow up calls,even knowing I was having a lot of anxiety throughout the healing process. I also feel like my eyes are still needing drops due to dryness. For what I paid, I just expected more, especially follow up. read more

I was very excited to get Lasik a couple years ago, but if I knew then what I know now, I would not have come to this place. I would have gone somewhere more personal and caring. It seems all they care about is getting you scheduled and getting your payment. A while after my procedure, my vision at night got hazardous. Now it is dangerous for me to drive at night due to the lights. My optometrist says this is most likely due to the surgery. I asked LaskPlus if they can see me to help me with my issue, but they ignored me. I reached out again, because they stated they had a lifetime guarantee, and they brushed me off again and said they would get a hold of me in a few weeks. They never did. Finally, several months later, I get an email saying there's nothing they can do to help fix my problem. After spending $4000.00 to "fix" my eyes for reading, I am dependent on prescription lenses for the first time in over 50 years. STAY AWAY!! I had Lasik in March of 2020 and have not been able to see clearly since then. My plan was to have one eye adjusted to see up close (so I would not need reading glasses). My eyes had very clear distance vision, so I didn't need the other one fixed. However, they said they could make an "adjustment" to make it better. Since having the procedure done, I can no longer see at a distance and am stuck wearing glasses 90% of the time instead of only when reading. I told them in the post-op appointment that I couldn't see road signs while driving. They told me it might take a little time to adjust. I called about a month later, as there had been no change, and I got the same response. I went back to have them look at my eyes. They said everything was fine. It can't be. I can't see clearly! They told me they could reverse the procedure. Like I trust them working on my eyes again! My distance vision was clear as a bell before they "adjusted" my eyes. They didn't need to touch both eyes. Seems like they just wanted the extra money for doing both eyes. What scam! Now I'm stuck wearing glasses all the time just to see, facing a future of prescription lenses instead of occasional use of "readers" from time to time. read more

When you walk in the door you see the fantastic Megan. She is totally the bomb. Then when its time for you to go into a room Denise is the coolest they come. No offense to the others, but i have only been with her. As nice as these people are, i can only assume the rest are A1 as well. Dr. Dean Ellis is a magician. I was blind as a bat and could see, albeit blurry, immediately. Hot Dr. Heidi Hanisch is absolutely the best there is. The entire staff are competent, friendly and fun. They provided an awesome pre visit which included a video, an exam, consultation and an opportunity to watch laser surgery being done. I just completed mine to correct so I no longer need reading glasses. I was done In Ten minutes. I'm healing now and can write this message without using glasses it's amazing! I went in due to an add for 250 an eye, was not qualified for this deal, however I chose to go ahead with the procedure, happy I did. I had a good experience here from the ladies at the desk to the dr. preforming the procedure. I was surprised that the dr. contacted me personally to put me at ease on how the process would go as well as giving me the link to his bio, thought the photo after was a bit odd but rolled with it. It is a clean place. And people are okay. But the price is too high. And sometimes confusing. I called them to cancel the appointment cause I found a better deal. But the next day the doctor called back say they can match whatever the price it is. I said it's $1395 he said okay. Then I talk to my work manager please arrange me to off on that day, which is a hard time for her to do so. Cause they are short of people. Finally in the early morning of Monday, the appointment day to do the surgery. I call them to confirm the price because I have to bring cash. Okay, now it's a lady answered the phone. Just had my follow-up today(surgery was Friday) and can say the overall experience was pleasent. I went from having -5.25 diopters of correction needed to 20/10 and 20/15 in a 9 minute procedure and I'm still healing meaning things will still get sharper. Blurriness and everything that goes with it has significantly reduced since day of surgery. All the staff were really nice. As far as negatives goes I really have none. Everything from price to what to expect are made very clear from beginning to end. You can also opt to have the lifetime eye plan for any corrections to your eyes if needed. If you decide to do LASIK listen to the instructions and follow them the advice to take a 3-6 hour nap after the procedure adhere to it. You will be feeling very irritated eyes after the numbing drops have worn off. I fell asleep shortly after my sleep aid kicked in and woke up with only slight irritation which I used the drops for. read more

Wow!!! I have had terrible eyesight since I was 7 yrs old (turning 50 in August). I cannot describe how it felt today after my procedure and I napped. I had a consultation on Monday and had my procedure done today (Friday). The staff was so friendly and patient. They were some of the best medical staff I've ever worked with! They answered all of my questions. I was very nervous and they offer a small amount of Valium (at no additional charge) to help calm nerves before the procedure. It was so nice to meet with Dr. Maw before the procedure to discuss any additional questions or concerns. He was so positive! He said they would get me in and out in about 10 minutes and it would go great...and it did! The procedure was so quick and Dr. Maw and his staff talked to me the whole time about what they were doing and how the procedure was going. Overall the environment is so positive and everyone is so excited for you! I slept for about 7 hours after my procedure and woke up feeling great and was already able to see so well! The procedure only lasted about 10 minutes. So I was in and out very quick! Even about 7 hours after I could see with my eyes being sensitive. The next day I was able to go out and about! They were all very understanding of nervousness and were super comforting by expressing that everything was going well and there was nothing to worry about. They were great about preparing you so you know what to expect during and after the procedure. Another thing that stuck out with me was that the weather was bad which caused traffic to be horribly backed up and when patients would call about being late, the staff was very nice and understanding. ainly posting because I really thought too good to be true. First of all, the free consultation is actually free. I forget all names but everyone was awesome so dont worry about it. They offered to get me in the same week, which I did, but they didn't push it which would have made me think it was a scam, even though they did give me a discount for doing it right away, I didnt know about that discount. So the one thing I have not at all looked into is the pricing because I didnt shop around. The nurse who did my initial exam stuff was very personable. Both during the exam and during the procedure, whenever I had to like keep my eye open or look at a certain spot, they'd give me a little countdown and it legit made it way easier to do, mentally and physically. For example, during the procedure, I was supposed to focus on a green light, and he kept saying like, "Doing great, ten more seconds," which psychologically calmed me a lot. Dr. Maw really does answer those texts quite promptly. To be extremely skeptical, of course it's possible he has other people answer for him at times, but I have no reason to think it wasnt him. He answered my texts before and after the procedure within 20 minutes. For me personally, I got real anxious right before the procedure that I was going to be the one in a million who has some horrible outcome, and I dont think i made a big deal (asked what's the worst possible thing) but Maw must have picked up on it because he was very reassuring through the whole thing, kept telling me everything was going very routinely. The staff is really great with meeting patients where they're at, treating each person as an individual. The one thing I'll say, and it's not a complaint against the clinic, but for me personally, I was a little underprepared for the level of pain during and particularly after the procedure. If I was going to do it again, I'd maybe take an ibuprofen before getting there. The procedure is really quick so the pressure on my eyes was okay with mind over matter. After the procedure, I got more numbing drops, but my ride took a little while to get there and then we had to stop and get my grandmother before I could get home to even get some pain meds/sleep aid. DO NOT DO THIS. Have someone stay with you, get home immediately, and go to sleep for that nap before the numbing drops wear off. Those first couple hours of healing are just about the worst pain I've ever been in (have had two children). This was not at all the lasik people's fault - they told me what to do - I just didn't realize how quickly the numbing would wear off, and then it was extremely difficult to get to sleep once I was in all that pain. So it was about 2-3 hours after before I did finally pass out, but I have had no pain since I woke up. My vision is still kind of blurry right now, first day, but it's like, how it would be if my contacts were dirty or something, not like it was with no corrective lenses. Overall, incredibly positive experience. I'm beyond excited to see what seeing is like from here on out. read more
