I went in for a simple sunglasses repair and THEY BROKE MY META RAY BANS. They were missing a screw so I went into see if they had the right size and could help me. John took my glasses back and came back. Said he didn't have the exact screw put put one in there that fit it was sitting quite further recessed into the frames than the original screw after he did this repair, I got a notification on my phone that the speakers no longer worked. I've tried resetting charging everything and my Meta Ray bans are now in operable because he damaged something with this incorrect screw. I called the store after I realize the problem asking for help and Whitnee the store manager denied. Everything was zero help I will be escalating this with corporate. Expensive national chain for all things Optometry-related, and I stopped in here to have a word with them since Barbie keeps resisting the urge to get her eyes fixed, because I wanted to talk to them about different options. Yes, they are expensive, but they're friendly and it was nice and quiet when I went in here, and it's definitely a good location of this chain. Location? I recently stopped by this place before the year was over to see if I could use my benefits. I told them I have VSP insurance and the lady at the front asked for my information. While she searched up my information, I went and look around at some new frames. The lady came back a few minutes later and told me that they aren't in network with VSP. I wasn't sure why she was wasting my time when I told her what my insurance was in the beginning before taking my information. She let me know she would try to match my benefits since they're out of network. The numbers were extremely different than what my insurance would've paid out. Since they didn't accept my insurance I went somewhere else. As I went through the process of giving my insurance information at this new eye facility they noticed that my VSP authorization has been pulled. I called LensCrafters to check if they've pulled my authorization, which they said they did. I asked them if they could cancel it, the lady on the phone said that they couldn't do it on their computer. I called my insurance provider told them the situation and they canceled the authorization with no issue. My insurance said that if they can authorize, they can also cancel. Which made me believe the staff in this location don't know what they are doing. Overall my experience in this place has not been the best. It shows the staff members are lacking in training or customer service. I would suggest taking your business elsewhere. If you do go to this location make sure you double or triple check that they accept your insurance. Also don't let them authorize anything until you're ready to get your glasses! read more

I worked with Maggie ( super nice) on my last 2 pairs first pair where RayBands with a carbon fiber looking frame. Cost with the transition the best lens they offered was around 375 with insurance and FSA I got eye exam and the glass/lens cost zero out of pocket...this was 12/28/18 Yesterday had the eye exam all was great. Had to wait a bit while they seemed very busy and I was 20 min late. So I can't blame anyone but my self....today I whent in to pick frames and lenses. Worked with Maggie again showed her the Oakley frames I wanted she worked he magic and got me out the door with exactly what I wanted $25 out of pocket. Every was nice and very professional. Was not expecting controversy from an annual eye appointment for my son, but definitely got my money's worth from what should be a routine experience today. My wife made an appointment with LensCrafters and verified they take our new insurance company weeks ago, but the same person apparently left a message with us yesterday in a panic because "our insurance was cancelled!!" and she needed to know how we would pay. We didn't get that message, and the girl apparently took it personally. She scolded my wife for not returning the call, and as if we had done something abnormal, she announced "I was like, what did they do, switch insurance companies or something??" Yeah Hannah, it's called open season, happens every year. Then she adamantly denied being the one that verified they take our new insurance company...as if it even matters, since they do in fact take it. So things were going great. As a DoD employee, my insurance covers a full pair of glasses for my son each year. While I was sitting in the waiting area, the sales rep today somehow convinced my wife that my son's glasses needed a lens coating for $140 that was "covered by our insurance" but our bill would be $140 out of pocket for the lenses because our insurance only pays for a portion of lenses. Thankfully my wife came and asked me, because knowing that nobody I work with pays out of pocket for a pair of glasses each year, I made them print out an itemized list of what our insurance covers...which what do you know, it covers a pair of glasses without a bunch of unnecessary add-ons. I do not want to put a bunch of thought into something as simple as glasses, just let me show up, check my son's eyes and give us a pair...it's what we have insurance for. If LensCrafters can't handle that we'll find somewhere that can. read more

Worst eye office I have been to. The whole office is a scam they charged me $200 for just an exam when the front desk lady had talked to me over the phone she said insurance should cover most of it. But yet that was all out of pocket. Imagine if I had decided to buy frames and boxes of contacts?! Now weeks into getting the contacts the doctor gave me my eyes have been reacting to them horribly. They are producing milky substance and swelling up. Honestly the contacts they gave me might have been expired. But when I called they said there was nothing they could do and they couldn't even refund me. The customer service was rude and unwilling to help compared to the first time I was seeking service And they wanted my money! please do not visit this place unless you want to waste your money and gain a eye problem you never had before. read more

Okay two pair of glasses, Ray-Bans to be exact. 987.88 out of my pocket, very few if any discounts and since I was retired Military and VA driven to LensCrafters you would think there would be some kind of provision to make this purchase not so rough. Nope so let's press. A small wait, five days and the glasses are here. This is the part that really gets to me. The lady just hands them to me and says thank you. That's it! No fittings, no let's see how they are and how they fit just here they are. Well since I had a member of the family that worked there years ago, she did the adjustments for me. Needless to say this will be the last and final encounter with LensCrafters. If I'm going to shell out nearly 1k for two pair of glasses, I should at least have it done right. They really need to work on their customer service skills. Stopped in with a pair of old frames that had a damaged ear piece. After waiting nearly half an hour and getting bumped in line an employee reluctantly came to see what I needed. When I showed her my frames she simply glanced at them, asked me how old they were and then told me about the " one year warranty" and proceeded to inform me in a rather uppity tone that "LensCrafters does not do frame repairs" or "just sell parts to frames". She then shoved my frames back into my hand and told me I'd have to buy new glasses if I wanted new frames. I've bought my glasses at LensCrafters for years and this is by far the worst service I've ever received. I doubt I'll ever use them again. Btw.... I ordered my contacts two weeks ago, haven't seen them yet. But I went in a couple days ago and Sandra gave me a pair till my new contacts came in and some new solution to try. Brian in the actual LensCrafters side sold my frames to me, and they were ready the next day. He's very knowledgeable in the merchandise and fun to talk to. My accidentally broke glasses and allowed me to use protection policy. The manager told my spouse it was a dog attack. They have a good selection, attractive well lit stores, and helpful staff. But they are pricy. Whenever I'm there, I hear people completely shocked when they hear the total cost they're expected to pay for their glasses. I'm used to it because I've had bad eye sight my whole life. I'll probably pay about $1000 bucks (minus 30% if they still have the triple a discount) for new glasses next year. I wear my glasses all the time and am very myopic and so it's worth it to me to pay good money for glasses. If you're looking for anything like a bargain, look elsewhere. They finally got the super thin high index lenses, so I can get my lenses here as well. I recommend $100 frames from Warby Parker for those people who aren't very blind and Lenscrafters for severely myopic people like me who care about style. read more

Came here to pick up contacts with an expired prescription. I was in the process of switching insurance and explained I just needed a couple boxes to get me to my next appt. the staff was extremely helpful and the dr extended my prescription allowing me to buy the contacts. The only reason this review is 4 out of 5 stars is because the receptionist answered several phone calls in front of me and spent time dealing with their issues basically putting me on hold. I spent enough time in customer service to know that you Always help the person in front of you before the person on the phone especially considering I had cash in hand just trying to pay and get out of there. Took my glasses in for an adjustment. I noticed two spots that were discolored on one of the arms, so I specifically pointed that out to the associate and asked what caused that, to which she said, "I don't know." Well, we both found out quickly what did cause it. When she returned the frames to me after adjusting them, my frames were totally covered in discolored spots. When I pointed this out to the associate, she said, "They look the same to me." Is that so? I asked to speak to a manager and the agreement was to replace the frames...accept the frames are a few years old are not made anymore. Despite making it all the way up the corporate ladder, I was provided with no resolution and was told my story didn't match up with the "everyone" in the store. What would be the point of lying? I did not want new frames. I just wanted to have these adjusted, and now they are ruined and I have to purchase new ones. read more

Just go elsewhere. This was my first stop and everything was wrong about the glasses they made me. The staff for the eyeglasses is quite good. They tried to make it right but they couldn't really. They were not really able to work with my very over-corrected prescription. There is no law against making a pair of glasses to what a client wants instead of what is prescribed. Yet they told my husband he had to have an eye exam before they would make him a new pair of glasses. To me that is bad business practice. I think they are just inhibited by the chain they work for. Expensive!!!! And the optometrist seemed like she was working to fit a virtual character not for a real human client. I need glasses for real life, not for a fictitious perfection. After hours of research online learning how to read prescriptions since I didn't really want to pay for another eye exam, I went to sole proprietor shop. Very NOT glamorous but very helpful and inexpensive. Saved several hundred dollars. My husband got a nice pair of glasses at Lenscrafters, though I doubt he'll be coming back here after my experience. read more
