I went in because the screw holding the lens in my glasses fell out and the ones in the kit i bought were too long. The guy there was very curt with me, basically saying he didn't want to take responsibility for the glasses. I needed new glasses anyway but wasn't going to make an appointment at that point. NEVER AGAIN! I purchased new glasses and had a my lenses changed in another pair. I stopped in to see if they would tighten them up a bit. The conversation went like this... "Hi I got my glasses here and.." "You did NOT get those glasses here" "I did....I got a new pair and..." "You did NOT get those frames from here!" "No, I got a pair of glasses and had the lenses changed in these ( taking off glasses to show him) I wanted to see if you could just tighten them up." With hands raised to his chest and palms outward he says "whoa, whoa, I don't know! You didn't get the frames here so you have to do it at your own risk...I mean the frames could crack...they could break and that wouldn't be our responsibility ." It was like I was asking for his first born child or something. He was so aggressive and angry about it. I said "What the f###!" Well that put him over the edge...he looked like he wanted to hit me. "Excuse me?!?!?" I said " I can't believe I paid this much for two pairs of glasses and your giving me hard time about tightening the frames." Granted, my bad for using the F word but after being interrupted twice and basically being called a liar from the get go and then the incredulous look and aggressive manner after I asked for what came for, I had had it with this guy." Target would be better served using this guy as a bouncer for people who try to come in without masks on...customer service is definitely not his calling. read more

It was good. We did get what we came here for. Very professional exam and very friendly doctor. We all did it and I needed new ones. So I ordered and already have them. Things changes with the years and I was sure my current glasses are the perfect for me, I found that they are not anymore. Now I got the perfect ones. The opticians at Target never disappoint they are always so helpful and willing to make sure you are happy with your frames. Don't overlook them because they are in a department store. I bought a pair of prescription glasses last year. I found the lady very helpful when picking out my new glasses. I do have a Red Card, but I had forgotten my password. She asked if I had some of them was AAA, so got the discount. I paid $107 for them. P.S. I had major surgery, so I had a prescription from my eye doctor and there was no problem with getting my glasses. read more

Target Optical seems convenient and it was even recommended to me by a friend. My expectations were low from the beginning considering it's an eye doctor located within a Target store but it was the closest optometry office to me so I gave it a shot. First of all the wait was ridiculous. I made an appointment online for a specific time and ended up waiting almost an hour in the office for the optometrist to see me... there were no other people waiting I was extremely annoyed and wondered why it was taking so long. Second of all the people working in there were obviously incompetent and tried ~goofing~ around with me as I waited which just raised my annoyance level so that I almost wanted to leave. The WORST part was ordering my glasses. Granted, these were my first pair of glasses and my eye appt was to see if I needed them and I did... so keep in mind I don't have a back up pair to wear in the mean time. I ordered my glasses 3 weeks ago today and I still have not received them. I called after a week they said it usually takes 2.5 weeks for glasses orders to come in... um unacceptable? LensCrafters does them in an hour and you leave with them on your face. The story gets worse... they got me confused with another girl who had the same last name as me which was irritating and got voicemails about her glasses... and the lab they sent my order to broke my lenses and I'm STILL waiting for them. I called them yesterday and they said I MIGHT get them Tuesday... which would be 3.5 weeks of waiting time straining my eyes to even type up this review. DO NOT GO TO TARGET OPTICAL! Go to a REAL optometrist and avoid all of the nonsense and incompetence that goes on here. Does anybody know who owns this office? I would love to write them a stern complaint letter telling them what happened to me. read more

This place is a joke. I went in last week to transfer all my records (just moved to Milford and was going to switch to them). When I went for my eye appointment last week, I was informed I need to make my appointment for next month because my 2 year new prescription wasn't due for another month. I understood policy but mentioned I desperately needed new sunglasses, so the Dr. recommended I get them early since he doubted my prescription would change much and if need be there is a 90 day trade in policy. The place was busy that day, so he recommended going home, looking at option on Target.com and either ordering online, or coming back in to order. When I went to do my online order, I realized I didn't have the PD added onto my prescription, so I went back up tonight to ask them to do a quick measurement. This is the response I got. "Hey I was just trying to order new glasses online and realized when I was in last week, I never got the PD measurements, and I tried doing it at home but figured I'd rather make sure it's accurate. Could you help me with that?" -Me "Yeah it's never recommended to do them at home, it's not accurate that way, but we can't do that for you." Unhelpful Employee "You can't just measure it for me really quick?" (No one was in the store) -Me "No, that's why we don't recommend doing it online." So I ended up canceling my appointment, I was hesitant to go to a corporation anyways so it probably was meant to be, but they totally just lost a client and I'll never even consider getting glasses there again. I'll risk doing my PD MYSELF and just buying a cheap pair in the meantime until I can see an optical center that gives a shit about their patrons. Worst customer service ever. UPDATE: I went down the street to an optical store that was family run and told them my issues and they did it in 3 mins and will now be my new Optometrist! read more

I talked myself out of writing a terrible review several times and after this last experience I think it's time to share my thoughts. When I first ordered my glasses they arrived with the wrong prescription. We still don't know if it was my eye doctor or target but either way the manager, Don took great care of everything. He called my eye doctor and got me new, correct lenses in a matter of days. When I arrived to get those glasses a different employee spent about five seconds fitting them to my face and I was on my way. After two days I had such a bad headache from how tight the glasses were. I went back in today and again, saw Don. He spent several minutes adjusting the glasses and making sure I was happy with them. If it weren't for Don I wouldn't return. He deserves five stars, the rest of this place deserves 1-2. Proper customer service training makes a big difference. read more

Every single time I have gone and I have been extremely happy with the customer service and how much of a pleasure it is to work with the staff there. We have had an excellent experience at Target Optical in Milford. My wife, my daughter and I all got our glasses there and paid a fraction of what they would have cost at a private optometrist's office. What's more, this was my first progressive prescription, which I was nervous about, but they nailed it the first time. My wife didn't end up liking the frames that she chose the first time and per their policy, she was able to return the glasses within 90 days. She got a new pair at no charge. All of my family members have worn glasses for many years (some of us for many, many years) and we've gone to high-price optical shops in the MetroWest area. But I've had at least 3 or 4 pairs over the years from Target; and with the rest of my family we've bought a dozen or so, and we've been very happy with the style, value and especially the service we've received at Milford Target optical. Our orders have come in within a week to 10 days; the staff are efficient and friendly about making any adjustments; their hours are convenient; and you can't beat the price. An extra note on service: Target has at times even adjusted or made minor repairs to frames I've worn that I didn't buy from them -- at no charge. I've also brought my glasses in to Targets in other cities and they've fixed up minor things with no problem, no charge. My only minor - very minor - gripe is I wish they had a larger style selection for "petite" women. The current fashion trend in wide rectangular frames is hard to match with a small, heart-shaped face. My husband likes the REAL optometrist who does eye exams there (Dr. Kim?) and he goes to him exclusively now instead of the ophthalmologist he used to go to in Milford. He hated the hour+ waits at the old place. read more

I had an extremely positive experience when I went to the Optical department to order new glasses. I was impressed by the prompt customer service. The optical technician was friendly and helpful, explaining my vision benefits and reviewing my options. I was told the new glasses may take 2 weeks to come in. I was pleasantly surprised to receive notification in less than a week that my glasses were in. I would highly recommend Target Optical and I will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

I've been going to Dr. Kim for 14 years now. He's professional, compassionate, and considerate. It's nice to see someone just once a year and not have to reintroduce yourself. Also, Dr. Kim takes the time to fully explain each procedure and outcome. I wear contacts and I've been wearing the same frames for over 20 years when I wear glasses (they are classic frame and I like them, so why change?) I've only used the optical department a few times when my wife or son needed glasses. The people there are friendly and knowledgeable. There is a wide selection of frames and when it comes to cost, they work hard to get you all discounts available. read more

It's true what others are saying about Dr Kim. He is excellent and took alot of time and patience with me. However, the rest of the staff is the reason for only 2 stars. I got a quote on new eyeglasses one week and returned the following week to order them. However this time there was over a $100 difference in price and not in my favor. I seriously think they make a commission on eyeglasses. Needless to say I was turned off by this move and wasn't about to spend $360 on new glasses after my insurance which paid about 50%. (Over $700 total) None of the staff would explain why there was a difference in quotes. Dr Kim should open his own office. He'd be better off without Target. read more

Target Optical in Milford, MA has terrible uncaring cold as ice customer service. I went to inquire the first time on the "$100.00" special, I was informed by the only young man that was courteous( have not seen him there since) that I would get the discount with the glasses I needed. I don't have insurance for glasses, so I told him kindly I had to think about the one and only pair I kind of liked, the total bill would have been close to $300.00 with the "discount". I later returned and was met by a snobby girl, and when I nicely asked what type of frames did she think would look good on m y face shape, she said it didn't matter, and it's obvious she hates her job. I left. I went back and noticed a new face, a middle aged man, but he was so cold when I tried to make light conversation with him, he did not reply, and when I decided to be the better person and ignore his ignorance, I tried on different frames, and chose two, I asked about the "special offer" and he stated that I did not qualify for it with the RX I have, but that was a lie, as I was told the first and second time I was. I asked him to show me the booklet with the different type lenses, anti glare, etc. and he said WHAT booklet? It was obvious he was lying. I will never go to another Target Optical again. The funny thing was when walked in the area, this last visit, I heard a young woman at the register complain loudly about how she's sick of "the snobby customers". Tat should have been my clue to just walk away and not engage help from the cold callous male employee. read more

I've been going to this Target optical for over 10 years now for glasses and contacts and I've never had a problem. I was always able to find glasses I loved, and most of the staff was always courteous and friendly (I say most because there is 1 person whom I find annoying there, but I love everyone else). They always recognize me and say hello, even when I'm just in Target shopping. I'm going again next month to get new glasses! read more
