Unless you want to overcharged, talked down to, and have the WORST experience having your annual eye exam and contact fitting, DO NOT schedule with PROEYE inside the Target Optical in Enfield. I had an eye exam that unfortunately was not "in-network" but needed contact lens. I scheduled a contact fitting at this location only to find they could not use the previous exam, "because not all eye doctors are as thorough as they are and the contact prescription would be under his license." I will admit I was frustrated with the situation and was not the friendliest customer but was treated as a illiterate idiot by the front desk staff during this first meeting. I mention first meeting because I had a total of three appointments for contacts follow up, each with their own snarky comments by front desk personnel and doctor. As a person wearing contacts for 15-20 years, wearing the 30 day Day and Night contacts for the past 10years, I was surprised at the 3 visits over the course of the month. It seemed that this type of contact was not the staff's/ Dr's preferred contact. Instead of saying they do not write prescriptions for that type of contact, they were continuously condescending and happy to continue charging my insurance for the follow up visits, or so I thought. Enter a month later, I receive a bill for $130+ dollars on top of the co-pays totaling $70 for eye exam and contact fitting that I have already paid; this for a in-network provider. Lastly as for the "thorough comment," call me weird but I usually count the number of various lens I am asked "Which one is better? 1 or 2?" Having just had a eye exam 2 weeks prior, where I was asked approximately 20 times which one was better (~10 times each eye). At PROEYE inside Target Optical, I was asked a total of 6 times, 3 per eye, but hey others are not as thorough in their eye exams. read more
