Decided to stop by Target for a quick errand. I rang up an item and expected to see a "cash back" option, since I wanted to pull out some money. The payment terminal didn't prompt the option, so I asked the cashier why that was. She looked genuinely dumbfounded at my question, and paused for effect before rudely responding that "it won't work" with a small scoff. I just said "thank you" and left. I visited this location for the first time earlier today. I always find Target to be a great one stop shopping place because you can get multiple items. This location is no exception. I was very impressed with how neat everything was. My only problem was that this location did not have a throw pillow cover I was interested in getting. Over the years I have avoided this Target for various reasons. I now have another reason to avoid and that is their current renovation project. With a few weekend returns and being so close I decided to come to a Target I have avoided for years. Once in the lot I saw a quarter of the lot was fenced off allowing space for containers to be place for a store update. It was a nightmare locating a spot to park. Once in the store I proceeded to customer service that's located up front and was assisted in short order by a friendly staff. My returns were processed quickly. Instead of doing some shopping i quickly departed. I would recommend avoiding this store during peek weekend hours until they gain their parking back. It's a crazy hassle and quite frankly an accident waiting to happen. 2.5 rounding up with courteous and efficient service. read more

I enjoy Target and generally my trips are pleasant. I went to target yesterday and was trying to find an item within the Beauty section. I asked three associates standing together where I could find a particular item. One of them shared with me some numbers. Now, if you go in the beauty area, you know the numbering is fainted and hard to find. I walked around a few times until I found the item. It would have been helpful to receive directions to find the aisle. Other than that, I love target and I'm a frequent shopper. read more

It is way too early to have such a nasty attitude. And I spend Way Too much money - and it's also a very difficult economic time to allow for such poor customer service and attitude. My cashier was not only unpleasant to look at with frustration on her face from beginning to end - but she was rude and uncouth from the get go. She told me to hold up heavy items before I even unloaded the cart and when I told her most were not heavy just bulky chips etc - she rolled her eyes and tutted her lips - who tuts anymore? So I will say this review is based solely on the "manager" that completely ruined my shopping experience today. I'm trying on shoes and literally all I hear in the background is this "manager" type guy completely berating his employee. Like literally saying how "smart" he was and how he didn't want to hear anything the other guy had to say. But really, if you're that intelligent, take your private conversation to a private destination. That doesn't take any smarts. What the what. I've never encountered such a rude person before at this Target and hopefully it will be the last. I hope the higher level managers are reading this because that guy was really offensive. Wife frequents this location based on proximity to home. Large parking lot, gender specific restrooms and Starbucks located up front near customer service. Tonight, we needed to exchange a jean jacket, purchased from Pembroke on clearance. Shocked seeing no lines for returns on Friday pm after Christmas. Employee conducted our transaction efficiently. In and out in under 10 minutes flat, including time it took to find a replacement. Though merchandise supply has previously been hit and miss, ladies' clothing section was surprisingly well stocked, clean and organized in the wake of Christmas. Easily found another jean jacket here in bigger size for less than Pembroke's clearance price. Strangely noticed men's seasonal garments in the front ladies section. Electronics section was picked over but was adequately staffed. On the contrary, noticed front end cashiers were scarce, evidenced by customers flocking to self checkout. read more

Haven't been in store, but ordered pickup on an electric toothbrush that was on sale while I was in the hospital. They were able to quickly get me the item I needed and the color I wanted. Free extended warranty and was able to use my RedCard and have my Mom pick it up for me. Quick and friendly service. What's not to like. Also had to call the pharmacy and they were more than helpful. Just wished they would bring back the cool red bottles. Those were superior to the ugly orange pill bottles. read more

I love that Target... They will price match their items to any other deal.. their exchange and return policy are awesome. I always get great customer service and or rain checks when a sale item is no longer available. This location is the one closest to my home and I have never had a bad experience. I highly recommend. In addition Target has an app that offers daily deals that are not advertised. It never hurts to take a quick glance at it to save a few extra bucks. Especially over the upcoming holidays when gift shopping. read more

There are a few coworkers whom are complete diamonds in the rust. But for the others I have never been treated like utter trash at a target before. This isn't my go-to Target but I was in the area so I couldn't resist stopping by. I needed to grab a couple things in the cosmetic section and wanted to take a peek at the children's clothing section for my 2 year old boy. I was happy to find that they still had some things on sale from Black Friday (which was yesterday) I thought that it was just me, but I read another Yelper's review on this Target and they mentioned how dim it is in here. It is quite dark in here. Not as bright as other Target locations, however I still had a great shopping experience and wouldn't remind returning to this location if I'm in the area. read more

This Target is awful! I went in at 8:30 on a Saturday morning for a few cleaning supplies for my new house and left missing 3 hours and $500. So clearly this place has some sort of weird wormhole or vortex or something. Stupid Target should have known I have no control of myself while here! The Starbucks was great and fast. I knew this guy that used to say, 'You can't delver your way out of a sales problem.' Or maybe it was 'You can't sell your way out of a delivery problem.' Or 'You can't roller skate in a buffalo herd.' The exact phrase slips my mind, but lately I had been spending way too much time contemplating such drivel and not taking that First Step in Long Journey. I needed a change of scenery from my cool and spiffy home office. When in doubt, go buy stuff. K-cups, I needed some k-cups for my shiny new coffee machine. Not only does this contraption brew coffee the old fashioned way, it has a Secret Compartment that holds any of 243,555,345,132 current varieties of K-cups. And I needed some. When I need some, Target is the go-to....because if you can't get some at Target, well, you know.... So, this Target is remarkable in the fact that it is exactly like every other Target I've ever seen. Same red and khaki, same bulls-eye, same stuff in the 50% off racks. There is even a good chance that my credit card information was compromised and a charge for $3121.56 from an adult bookstore in Hatsboro, PA mysteriously showed up on my bank statement. My bank has me on speed dial these days from all of those erroneous charges at that place! But...... This Target has my favorite retail aisle of any (see the pictures and do the math....). So yea, I'll be hanging out here more often for sure, casually asking when that aisle gets restocked, when the truck (or maybe the boat?) comes in with fresh supplies. And the K-cups are a nice diversion in avoiding The First Step in Long Journey. After all, it's all about the trip, not the destination, right? read more

As far as the Target at the Pembroke Mall in Virginia Beach, this is not a good place to go to in the morning. After shopping for 30 minutes I went To the checkouts to find only one register open and three customers in the line. (I do not trust the self check outs) So I left my shopping cart including perishable items and left the store. What a great business decision it is it is to have but one check out and lose customers. I realize that my hundred bucks won't make any difference to target, but it would have paid for opening another check out for a few minutes. There were also two employees standing in front of the registers not offering any assistance, I guess they did not want to interrupt their conversation. So I went home and ordered what I needed from Amazon, and I did not have to wait in line. I'll continue to shop at target, but not today. read more

I just came in to use the bathroom and order from Starbucks. The bathrooms were gross. I looked at the bathroom checklist sheet, and whoever has been signing off on the sheet is a LIE! Target is Target. They all have the same stuff, what more can I say? The only complaints I have are the following: 1. They have ONE, maybe two of those bench seat carts that can seat two children. I have three kids under 4...I need all of them strapped into a cart or there will be chaos while I shop. I usually put my infant in the actual cart, and my other two kids in the double bench seat. When I can't find the lone cart, like when someone else is using it for their 7 and 8 year olds who are too lazy to walk because they want to sit and play on their ipads, I use a normal cart and drag my munchkins through the store. This makes for a very agonizing trip. Point being, they need more double carts. 2. I find a TON of expired items in their food section. Literally every time I go in there, I will find expired yogurt or lunch meat. And not just expired by a few days, like expired by at least 30-40 days. GROSS!! So make sure you check the expiration dates prior to purchasing food from this Target. read more

This is my favorite Target to go to. It is basically the same as most other Target stores, but I find that this location has better employees. It is a relief to ask someone where to find something and they give some thought before pointing you in the general direction. At this Target they will usually walk you directly to the item you are looking for. It is also conveniently located near a few good stores like Home Depot, Party City, and PetSmart. read more

This Target location is as good as any I've been to! Everything seems organized and the employees are generally helpful. They have s starbucks and pizza hut inside as well! In general, target is definitely a one-stop type of place. They have groceries (including produce), clothes, linens, etc. They also have pretty good sales. Tip: If you go here even relatively often, you should definitely check out the Target Red card. It's legitimately a good deal and there's really no reason not to get it. You get 5% off every time you shop and it's not a credit card--you just bring in a voided check and they can link it to your checking account (so basically it's a debit card). The only problem I've had here is that they seem to get a little backed up at the registers sometimes. I don't know why, but I've only ever seen 3-4 open at a time (out of 10-15 that there are). Overall, though, I've been pretty happy with this Target! read more

I love Target. I never go into one because I usually walk out having spent a good amount of money. While my husband was checking out Home Depot I opted to go to Target to just "browse." Sure .. that turned in a hefty bill. BUT! The sales were awesome. I didn't get past the clothing department. It was well organized and clean. No clothes laying all over the floors and half off hangers. The fitting rooms were ok. *wrinkle nose* I mean .. I'm not asking for it to be fabreezed or anything but it could've been a tiny bit better. Either way .. the store area was fine and I walked away with some killer deals. read more

They once had a blood pressure monitor in the pharmacy, but it's not there anymore, so I headed over to Farm Fresh at the suggestion of another customer. read more

I love Target. Ever since I stepped foot in my first one that opened in my hometown where a small mall used to be I have been in love. The quality of their products, the layout of the store, the vastness and availability of things and their price are all huge alluring qualities. It's an upscale Walmart in my opinion. In my family we call it by its French alter ego "Tar-jay". :) Anyway this is the closest Target to my current home and I like it. I think I've only been in one Target in my life that I didn't like and it was on the basement level of a city center in New York. This one has ample parking, the layouts are pretty much all similar but it has the same design as most other Targets with beauty to your right and then health and then cleaning and food then it loops around to electronics and men's clothing then women's clothing and in between all that they have the children's toys and home decor. My husband and I came here to restock on some cleaning supplies and fabric softener. I also picked up some Archer Farms creme brûlée keurig cups which I'm excited to try since I love anything creme brûlée. That's another point I want to make. This Target has the supermarket aspect where there is fresh fruit and veggies and meat so you can do a lot of your food shopping here if you wanted. We picked up some milk and lactose free milk (for moi). I love archer farms or market pantry. But particularly archer farms. They make such good products, from all over the world. I love buying their dinner kits for Indian or Thai - so good!! If you haven't ever shopped in a Target you need to. They have everything and I think the quality of products is really great including their clothing which I also really love! And shoes! Ok there's really nothing I don't love about Target! So go here, or any Target for that matter and make it a weekly stop for stuff. :) read more

I went in the other day to pick up an item I ordered online. While waiting in line this elderly gentleman went to the front of the long line up to the counter and demanded the woman that he had spoken to before who helped him with an item. In his speech you could tell he was being racist and sexist in his thoughts. However the ladies behind the counter handled it very well and were very professional and helpful to this guest and other guests. Customer service is excellent here and I will definitely be back. read more
