I've been to Target exactly twice since the early 90's, and yesterday was a reminder of why. I had made an order online for a Baby Registry. Got the email notification when the order was ready, and arrived about an hour after that. When the Service lady scanned the barcode, she said, "Oh, that's in the back. I'll have to go get it." 8 minutes later, she came back with the items, and by then there was a pretty long line behind me of others waiting. Why tell a customer an order is ready when it's really not?? I felt sooo bad for that older lady for having to make that hike to retrieve my items! There was a dedicated Pickup register next to where hers was, but it was blocked off by a bunch of carts full of stuff, and looked really just a mess. I had also planned on picking up a few other things while I was there. But it appeared that only self-checkout registers were open, all in use, and a line of at least 12 people waiting. ...So I put my other items back and went to WalMart instead, as usual. Ordered online for two toys that were for gifts. I used coupons that were offered in the Target app for $10 off $50 and a 25% off one toy. I picked up the toys and both items were damaged. There is no way that the employee could not have seen the damage when putting them in the bag, it was obvious they were open. I returned them without leaving the service desk. I then had to reorder the items and was unable to use the coupons as they were "one time use". I took both receipts back to the Edinburgh Target for a price match where the manager told me there was nothing she could do as I used the coupon. Well if they had cancelled the item and not fulfilled it with damaged merchandise I would still have the coupons. Their error cost me an extra $20.10. I would avoid this store as they are not helpful at all. read more

This is consecutively the fourth time that upon visiting this store to purchase supplies I am followed to the self checkout and hovered over by 1-2 employees while I am scanning and with perfect timing walk away once I paid or insert my card. I am a woman in heavy industry work, I come in my work clothes. I am one of the last people to come to this sort of conclusion and rarely post a negative review but I will do my best to avoid this location. read more

Nicer than the Target in Levittown, which is my usual Target. I liked this store a lot, but then living in NYC I rarely get to see such a clean, well-stocked place. They had everything I needed and then some! I came for two items and left with my arms full. I got a nice belt, some swim trunks since I forgot mine, detergent, paper towels, soap, Sweet N Low, and coffee creamer. I'm still amazed you can get that all at one place! Prices are great and my cashier was a sweet as shoo-fly pie. Since I don't live here I won't be a regular but I will stop on my annual trip down south. read more

Always a good shopping experience at this Target. Shelves are nicely stocked and their clothing selections are fashionable (or so the young ladies in my family tell me). Here's a useful tip for you to keep in mind: Target.com is not affiliated with the local stores UNLESS you sign in on the website with your "favorite store" selected. When you do that, the prices change to reflect what they are in the store. If you go to Target.com and DON'T sign in then the prices might be lower than what the store offers. If this happens, take your item to customer service and show them the online price and the store will match it. That's how I turned a $55 box of dishes into a $35.99 box. Multiply that savings by three boxes and you get the idea. It pays to do your homework! read more

This is a good Target. The store is maybe slightly smaller than some others, but large enough to have everything you might need to find here. They have a good selection and are pretty good at keeping things in stock, whereas some stores in busier areas near here are often out. This store also has a great system for curbside pickup. You make your order online in the app, the app tells you when your order is ready, you click "I'm on my way," and they bring it out to you once you are parked in the designated spaces in the parking lot. I know this means they are tracking my location as I'm driving there, but for right now, I'm okay with this. You hold up your phone and they can see the 4-digit code through the window, enter it into their little handheld device, you pop open the back of the car, and they put your items in the back. It's by far the best system of all the stores I shop at. The downsides of this system are that sometimes they are right there when you get there, with no time for you to get situated before they are standing right outside your car. This sometimes make me a bit nervous, as I want a chance to get my mask on, get my phone out and open the app, etc. I can open the back of my car without getting out, but if you have to get out to open the trunk of your car, you'll have to ask them to back away. (My daughter has to get out to open the back of her car, and this has happened to her more than once.) The other negatives: At this store, some employees only wear masks covering their mouth, not their noses. This should not be allowed as the novel coronavirus is mostly in the nose. Also, even though it says in the app not to roll down your windows, some employees (at this Target and another one near here) will ask you to roll down the windows. (I don't.) A few times I have forgotten to choose "I'm on my way" in the app when I'm driving there, maybe I was doing other errands first, etc. When this happens, the employees tend to get angry and scold me. It's a mistake. I try not to give them a hard time, so I wish they'd be more understanding, too. I understand I'll have to wait a bit longer if I forget to tell them I'm coming. I'm sure they probably get in trouble if people wait too long, so that is probably why they get upset, but I'm only human, and sometimes I forget. One other negative here is that they limit some items and just don't allow you to buy them if you have a curbside pickup order. I don't see what the difference is if I get *one* package of cleaning wipes in the store or via curbside pickup, but they won't allow you to get them via curbside pickup. I haven't been inside any store since March of 2020 and have no intention of going inside any business until the virus is gone, however long that takes. Other stores allow us to buy a reasonable amount of cleaning supplies or if they are limited, they are limited for everyone, no matter how they are shopping. The mask thing is the most important thing to me, though. After having people put things in my car without masks on properly a few times, now I make sure I see them clearly before I open the back. It can be surprisingly difficult to tell sometimes, though, if it's dark or raining out. Please Target, make sure all employees have their masks on properly--and properly fitting masks. This protects them as well as customers. With the new, more contagious variants in circulation, this is even more important now for everyone. read more

I travelled thirty-five minutes out of my way to go to this Target location because their online website said that they had the underwear I like in stock. When I arrived they were COMPLETELY OUT OF STOCK! Online STILL says they are currently in stock. I am absolutely outraged at this total waste of my time. As a result of this inconvenience, I had no choice but to settle for a different style. My mother, the sweet southern belle that she was (God rest her soul), told me to never NEVER settle. I am upset and quite honestly disappointed in the store's lack of management and consistency. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION. Well to paraphrase the immortal prophet Ice Cube: Sick as hell but no throwin' up Half way to OBX and my nose is still blowin' up I meant to run in and pick up some tissues, NyQuil/DayQuil and for the first time a Neti Pot. All that was good until of course the Target Curse hit. What's the Target Curse? You know where you go in for three things and then leave spending sixty dollars going "How and the hell did that just happen!" One other noteworthy thing was that for being right after Christmas the store actually was fairly well restocked and didn't look like an IED had just gone off in the electronics department the way how my Target close to home had looked for the last few weeks prior to the big day. Every day during the summer I like to get the decaf frapaceno at the starbucks inside of target. 2 days ago I was told that they now long where going to give me the extra that they pore down the drain. I watch them pore amost half of what they mix up down the drain. It cost the company money every time they do this. They have a cup you can get water with and they were using that for the extra for me. After all I watch them fix it and the measure every thing right but always pore out the over flow. I called Starbucks and they told me to put a public note out and if enough people say something they will change the policy. By the way I own the Vinti cup and if I order the grandi and have it pored into my cup it fills it up with some that still goes down the drain. read more

What's not to love about Target! The $1-$5 items in the front suck you in and tease you with items you don't NEED but you just gotta have. Decorative items, craft items and even $1 plates for the kids for Christmas. They have reorganized the store to be a little more fashion oriented so you can find the style or brand you want in one place. My review is only for the pharmacy department. Excellent pharmacy customer service at this Target location. I have had nothing but positive experiences here. Never ever any errors and super fast service. I always feel like a valued customer when I need to pick up or call with questions. I highly recommend the stuff who works in the pharmacy department. Got to love some Target! They have a little bit of everything at this location. The grocery section is in the back. I've only been to a couple that had the grocery options. Christmas sales are happening! Target is usually a little higher priced, but around this time the sales were everywhere. This location has a Starbucks. Which makes it even more inviting. I love all Target stores. I especially love the fact that this is closest to my house. The people are friendly. Their bathrooms are always clean. They always seem to have new inventory for women's clothing. They do not have a large selection of wrapping paper, gift bags, etc. They were completely void of any type of gift bows. I truly enjoy going to this Target. Always clean. Helpful staff. Great products. The reason I am giving it 4 stars is because sometimes they do not rotate their food products well and you may get some food that is expired or about to expire. When I see this, I try to bring it to some ones attention and they address it right away. I do like their selection of clothes for girls/juniors. Oh my Target Chesapeake South!!! I break up with you!!! I have shopped at your location since I've moved to Chesapeake back in 2009 and a Red Card holder since 2014. This past Saturday, I spent $435.64 at your store (which happens frequently, I like to shop) I bought white pillowcases for $26.59 + tax (come to find out they should have been $13.59) opened them at home to find they had a black stripe I went back to the same location to return or even exchange them for plain white ones. Should have been simple, right? Since they take returns, without a receipt. Well, they said the item numbers did not match and that I did not buy them from their store. I asked, "How could this happen? I didn't make the mistake, it's clerical. I bought pillows and then the cases to go with them, same day, same card, same transaction..... The receipt even shows "standard pillowcases."" I suggested checking the cameras, I could tell them exactly where on the shelf I bought them from and I was in that isle at least 10 minutes comparing. Manager claims to have checked the camera, but came back saying the item was not on the receipt, nor bought that day. I asked to just exchange them? She said, they would not (even though it's a Target Store brand.) I asked what can be done? Their answer was "Nothing, you didn't buy them here." At this point, I am completely frustrated and stepped back from the counter, looked up and said "This is bullshit." I did not raise my voice nor threaten anyone. But the manager claimed I was being aggressive and said she can ban me from the store.... I asked, "Are you kidding me? Give me back my receipts and the pillowcases! Fine, I'm not coming back here anyway!!" (It's not like, they don't have other locations or online ) I called the corporate office immediately, and spoke with Ann. She reviewed my card activity and guess what?!!? She is sending me a gift card, to buy new pillowcases..... and I still have the ones I wanted to exchange. Target corporate was able to resolve a simple matter in a 5 minute call, that the store manager should have done from the beginning!!! I will definitely be boycotting Target Chesapeake South and will be spreading my story. Not surprising, that the first two people I spoke with at the grocery store had similar issues with that same location. My hope is that the store manager, Suzanne C. will receive many hours of mandatory customer service training in hopes that she one day will be half as good as Ann was from corporate. read more

Typical target as far as prices and selections. The store is organized and convenient. I rarely have to battle a crowd while I shop. My biggest complaint is that the cashiers leave alot to be desired. Chloe in particular is incredibly slow and clearly unhappy with her job. I don't like cashier's bashing other employees or their boss while they check me out and that has happened during several of my visits with multiple cashiers. read more
