I made a last minute stop here to get gifts for 2 special ladies. I checked the Target app and saw that they had what I needed. Instead of placing a drive-up order, I opted to just go inside to get them. The store wasn't crowded and looked to he kept up pretty well. The office supplies had a lot of items marked down, but I resisted buying anything unnecessary. I'll have to remember to come to this location since it wasn't as busy as other locations I've been to. In the parking lot I was approached by a man telling me he needed $5 for gas as he ran out of gas and his baby twins were in the car. I told him I would let him use my AAA and he turn around and quickly ran away. I will add the parking lot looked like it hasn't been cleaned up in months; trash and stones everywhere. Entering the store I quickly realized the place is seriously dirty. Not what I am used to at any Target I have been to in the past. Employees walking around like zombies. I tried to call this Target to see if they had an Optical department or direct me to the right location since I've previously purchased prescription contacts from Target before and was looking to get more. I called this location and pressed the numbers to get to "other departments" and they let the phone ring for over 2 minutes then hung up on me. Not once, not twice, not three times but FOUR times I waited and got hung up on before some lady finally answered with an unpleasant tone, clearly bothered that I had the nerve to keep calling and bugging her at her GUEST SERVICES job. I used to think Targets were generally created equal, but this Target was the most disappointing I have ever visited. I started by taking a quick stop in the bathroom, and that was the place of horrors. I checked three different stalls, and each featured toilets were disgusting stains on the bases and even the seats. The floors were filthy. I have seen cleaner bathrooms in dive bars. Shudder. I came to look at some seasonal merchandise, but it was a bit of a disaster and terribly picked through. Maybe there had been a run earlier in the day, but the selection was dismal and half the items were in the wrong place, making pricing a bit of a guessing game. I went to pick up some OTC medication, and a similar lack of organization and inventory greeted me. I will give one extra star for being well staffed at checkout and having ample self checkouts, so there was no wait. But I would not make any effort to return to this Target ever again. I have been a Target RedCard member since October 2021 and always paid my bills on time, in excess of the minimum payment. In February 2023, RedCard returned my 02/23 payment of $26.82 and the reason given was "Payment Reversal - Backdate". A notification was mailed to my husband's new address. He is 20 years older than me, and I received it way after. As a result, for six weeks I thought my RedCard account was paid in full. During this time, RedCard Services reported my account delinquent, reduced my credit limit from $500 to $200, and sent notice to my husband's new address. Based only on Target's report, two more creditors reduced my credit limits, which in turn reduced my overall debt-to-credit ratio and reduced my credit score by more than 100 points overnight. I contacted RedCard Services in April 2023 to update with my new address, when I learned of the late payment, the reduction in credit, and the delinquent payment reported to the credit bureaus. RedCard refused to accept responsibility for anything or remove the hit from my credit report. I was told I am responsible for the address update, and if not me, the post office, but not Target. I changed my address with Target RedCard and the post office in April 2023 when I moved. Red Card told me that it understood I didn't like the decision, but it was not going to change. I was then told I was arguing with the guy responsible for reporting to the credit bureaus. I asked him to repeat what he said, and I asked what he meant, but he hung up. I am extremely disappointed with Target RedCard As a result of their actions, my credit rating has been hit hard. I am no longer able to get the home financing I hoped for. Corporate America steps all over the little guy and does not care. I earn less than $30,000 annually so why bother? Shame on Target RedCard Services. This has always been my go to target as it is so close to me. They have great clearance sections and there are so many things to buy, you can spend hours here. Some employees can be rude when help is needed. I've had a few employees at the customer service desk snap at me, and so great customer service can be a hit or miss. The shoe aisles are always a hot mess and some clothing racks are so full you can barely shop them. Clothes in the clearance sections are mostly on the floor so be on the lookout for great deals on the floor, hehe. The bathrooms are always gross. Every time I've been in them there is clogged up toilets or there is toilet paper on the floors or on the seats. There is never an employee manning the fitting room so just go on and add to the mountain pile of clothes that people have just thrown on the counter.. The cafe surprisingly has really good chicken tenders, who would think? The fries also taste good and mmmm you can never go wrong with an icee! This will always be my target. Oh well I guess I can live with messy fitting rooms, rude employees, and dirty bathrooms. read more

For a period of time, when you would google this location, the first picture to be displayed was a cop vehicle parked right in front of the store; a very fitting image indeed - I have had at least two occasions where someone was getting arrested inside the store, so...NOT The best Target location out there. It used to not include groceries until they squeezed that section in, so the whole store feels pretty cramped. I've usually found what I'm looking for there, but it always feels like a mediocre shopping experience every time. Particularly annoying is the Self-Checkout, which consists of four registers (assuming they're all working), is never fast, and I've needed assistance more than once because something hasn't worked and the employees have struggled with resolutions when they try to get involved. The online pickup area was obviously where the restaurant used to be, and when you step inside you'll see the remains of the industrial fridges and ovens (tacky). The parking lot is usually crazy, either with cars driving too fast or too slow, and as someone else has pointed out, there's usually no music inside the store, so mostly all you hear are the obnoxious adults and screaming kids. I should give them two stars -- I generally don't like Target overall -- but I'll give them three because they still do seem to have some employees trying to make the best of it...but it's always been, and will probably always be a pretty disgusting store. read more

APPALLING SERVICE! Came in on Sun. morning 11/10 and spent a little over an hour wandering about collecting all the items I needed, about 50 in all. Toiletries, groceries, etc. At the register the cashier informed that their checkout system was down but it COULD still scan 1 ITEM AT A TIME. SO I would have to scan my card 50+ TIMES. This imbecile actually tried to convince me to do this. Are you kidding me?! First off my card would lock after the first 5 items as the issuer would flag it as fraud. In addition she or the store offered nothing to me the customer in way of apology or discount. Left my cart right there. Cashier was incredulous that I wouldn't go along with this. "You're just leaving all this here?" To which I replied "Yeah, you put it away". Hope you got the ice pops and ice cream on the bottom in time. I wish this store would stop allowing third party AT&T pyramid scheme grifters into their store to harass shoppers. Anytime I'm in the back end of the store near the electronics department I am approached by a sales person asking about my cell service. I have learned that they are impossible to avoid and once they start their scripted pitch it's really hard to get them to shut up, so I've learned to just nicely say "I'm not interested, thanks" as soon as I see them approaching. I never am in the actual electronics department, this happens when I'm with my young children in the store browsing the toys, books, and even baby aisle. On Tuesday October 10th I was approached by the most vile woman from this group of grifters yet. She ran over to my 4 year old and I as we were looking at toys, asked how we were doing and I immediately and nicely said "we're good! But we're just shopping and not interested in changing our phone plan today, thank you!". This woman rudely responded "ummmmm WOW OKAY!!" and proceeded to dramatically roll her eyes at me, scoffed loudly, laughed sarcastically, and then walked away and gave my daughter and I the death stare for the next few minutes while we continued our shopping in that area. It was so aggressive and unprofessional and made both of us feel really uncomfortable. Every time I go to target with my kids we make a quick pit stop in the toy section just to browse, and every time lately one of these loser goons approaches us trying to pressure us into signing up for their 3rd party scam. Beware of the drive up order police! This target is known for being super rude about not "checking in" that you are on your way in the app when picking up a drive up order. I have NEVER been told that I HAVE to do this step in years of using drive up at multiple targets. It's target people, not TSA. We don't need a lecture or the rude comments, it's not that serious. I was shocked at how I was spoken to tonight by TWO drive up employees and when I posted about it on my story I had multiple people respond asking if it was this location because they have had the same issue too. They know my name. I go to the pharmacy here in Target. I didn't realize I went "that" much. When I walk up they say hello and address me by name. When I was checking out at the self-checkout today the associate, Kathy (I think?), asked me how my boys were doing. Told me how nice it was that at least I got to take a trip to Target without them today to have a break. I've seen her having conversations with other customers as they're checking out as well. When I ask an employee with help for something they stop what they're doing and help me and if they're not the right person they radio the person who knows the answer. It's not very often I have a place that I call my... But this is definitely My Target! Even all of the other customers here are nice to one another. I bent down next to somebody to pick up some Pokemon cards. I backed up and said oh my gosh I'm so sorry 6 ft 6 ft I forgot. This store is near my home and we frequent there for most of our needs. There has not been a time that I have gotten food from here that it has not been EXPIRED or not kept at proper tempt and is ROTTEN! This has disgusted me time and time again. I hate that I can't even trust their food in a pinch. This morning I opened our sausage that we purchased YESTERDAY-OCT 5th! Only to see that the expiration date is JULY 24th 2020. So gross! She said, yes but we don't enforce it. I went to the front end manager and said the same thing. She gave me the same reply. I said then take the sign down that says you require masks when you actually don't. No response. Hypocrites much? Safety looks like your concern when reading the false statement on the sign but you're not concerned, only trying to make it look like you are. Take down your sign or enforce it. This Target location needs some help and I mean like asap. Every visit I find something beyond its expiration date on shelves. Today was the release of a new movie and I had to ask for the movie "Trolls" The staff had to take it out of the box and said, " I apologize, I'm just unloading them now." This was at 0830, you all don't do overnight stocking? Why are they staff always stocking in the morning blocking aisle? It feels as though I always have to take a detour to get to the aisle I need. Now I visit this store at least once a week and each week seems to be getting worse. Something about the management staff has changed and not for the better. I know for a fact the way this particular store is ran is NOT Targets model. I walked passed the manager at least 4 times again looking for the "Trolls" movie in 4 different parts of this store and it wasn't until I made eye contact with her on the 4th round that she offered me assistance. When I went to say no, thank you, she cut me off as if she anticipated the no so she can continue barking at the employees. Now I'm on the 5 time I get to see this manager, she at the front of the store and see there is only 1 register open. She gets on the walkie and starts talking about who has called out and why staff need to be here, there and everywhere else. It seem very unprofessional to me. The next incident comes as my items are getting rang up. I watched one employee snatch an item from her coworker with a look of disgust on her face, all because she asked her if she could help her find out if they have a differ size of something on hand. She only asked because she had a line full. All I could say was wow that's rude and worse you did this in front of customers?!?!? I'm done with this location. I ordered a bicycle to get some exercise during the pandemic and Target was unable to assemble it. I had to take it home and assemble it myself, which was no big deal. However, the bicycle just didn't fit right and with their pandemic "no returns" policy, I was unable to return the bicycle to purchase a new one for a month. If the bicycle had been assembled, like it was supposed to have been, I would not have purchased it. I would have looked for something else. So they kept my money for a month and I wasn't able to go for the morning bicycle rides that I was so looking forward to... Nice win Target. :-( I won't be back. read more

Online and in store customer service is terrible! After a really bad experience, I filled out the survey they sent asking about my interaction and checked the box saying I wanted to be contacted. They never contacted me about this. But months later I got a letter asking if I lost my red card since I was no longer shopping there. That is the ultimate in corporate greed: can't be bothered to contact an upset customer but you darn well still want my money! I will gladly spend more money elsewhere for items Target sells cheaper at stores that actually appreciate me as a customer! read more

This location is a go to for our family since moving to Mesa/Gilbert area. I appreciate all of the workers help and the store is always clean. Produce can be a hit or miss but we usually go to Sprouts anyway so it's not that big of a deal for our family. I really appreciate how clean the dressing rooms are and the clothes departments are fairly well stocked. read more

This is an older location, but Target is Target nonetheless. They always seem to have what I am looking for (or not looking for..you always end up buying something you didn't intend on) and the shelves seem to always be stocked. The employees are nice and always say hello or ask if you need help. There are usually a couple registers open during non-busy times, and anytime I have been there when it has been busy, the lines move quickly. This location isn't as nice as Tempe Marketplace or the store on Longmore but it's close to where I live, the parking lot isn't terribly annoying, and I know that I will be able to get what I need at a decent price. read more
