Everyone that knows me, knows how much I love Target. I stop at this Target every other day, if not every day. We went to get our weekly meals today for our family plus a few Easter goodies for the kids. I had 2lbs of hamburger meat, a package of chicken, and a pkg of steaks for a family of 3. That is three meals. The front end manager came over, pointed at the cashier, then pointed at my meat, and said only two meats!!! I was stunned at first but then tried to explain that I was not taking more than I needed, but that I was buying dinner for 3 meals this week. Each of my meats were different. She looked at me and simply said which ones do you want me to take away because you can only have two. She took everything but my 2 lbs of hamburger meat because I had to get two pkgs since they were out of the large ones. No explanation. No courtesy. Nothing. I have never in my life been treated so rudely. The poor cashier couldn't even look at us in the face. And, in a time of crises at that. Wow. That is all I have to say. A letter to corporate is on its way. read more

Today I went to target around 10 am to buy groceries. I abided by all the signs stating the amount that you could buy of each item. I got to the self checkout and was greeted by the person in charge of that section. She then looked in my basket and said she would have to remove some items. I assured her that I abided by all signs and only took what I was allowed of each item. First she told me the limit on milk is one when it's 2. Then, she told me that the limit on baby water was 1 when the sign said 4. She continued to argue with me and then called her associate over. They both were arguing with me saying I was trying to buy too much baby water. They were so rude that 2 customers stepped in go defend me. They called Rob over, the store Mgr. We walked back to where the baby water was. I showed Rob the sign and he immediately took it down. He said it wasn't supposed to be there. When I told him how absurd it was that they were arguing with me and they shouldn't treat any customer like that. Rob said I'm sorry they have been having to argue with customers all day because of the same issues. I told him well that's a problem. He said I'm sorry and told me that some stores have armed guards. Really??? What does that have to do with the situation at hand. I spend about 1000 a month there and I will no longer go to that target or any other target because of the way I was treated. read more

Thus was the cleanest Target I have ever seen. Everyone there was extremely pleasant, unlike our Targets in Frisco.

Politics of "big box" stores of this nature aside, this Target is nice. Good location, layout is easy to follow, the store is rarely too busy, and the atmosphere is decent. They have a large selection of products and good prices. My only "complaints," if you will, are that their produce can be more limited than grocery stores nearby and I've had mixed experience with the optometrist and optical. Overall, if I'm needing groceries and other goods, this is my go-to place over the Wallyworld located on Preston. read more

Love me some Super Target! Great for food. Great for clothes. Great for kid stuff. Great prices. It's just my all time favorite store!!! The people are always SUPER friendly. It's clean. Well staffed. I see the same faces all the time, so I'm assuming staff is happy. This location is very convenient. We used to also do the pharmacy here and earn points on our medications to 10% off days. If you don't have the target card - you are missing out! read more

They're in the middle of a remodel right now, but even allowing for that, the staff was extremely confused about what was going on and arguing amongst themselves and fielding confrontations that probably needed to be handled away from customers. Staff were also mocking the clothes as they put them out on display, which didn't feel especially professional. In the women's fitting rooms, the door to one fitting room was too big to close properly and the next was too small. Just overall not a great experience but hopefully it'll get better once they're done renovating read more

Overall, this is a very clean store with friendly employees. The pharmacy personnel are efficient and gladly answer any questions you may have. Even the cashiers are cheerful! My issue with this particular store is that their produce department isn't the best. I've made visits where the only onions out were moldy, the selection of a fruit or vegetable was very picked through, or something didn't appear fresh enough for me to purchase. Just this week I bought broccoli only to come home and find it was getting soft and needed to be steamed ASAP. This store has a real problem with anybody who wants to buy more than one of any item. If you have multiple qtys of the same item, Asset Protection, especially short and petite Hispanic girl in blue Target AP shirt, likes to follow you around and scrutinize your cart contents. You get to the front to pay and even further scrutiny begins with front end personnel after AP talks to them. Store Management is then summoned to the front. They have a "huddle" meeting and scrutinize your purchases and talk about you. One of them comes to you and states they have the right to limit quantities and they want to know if you are using coupons. Asked why they want to limit qtys and you just get nonsense answers and no real truths or facts. They either will not let you get what is in your cart and they would rather waste time and labor to pick items from your cart and pay labor to restock the products back on the shelf or they give nonsense like "we'll do it this time". Okay, so what about next time? A couple months ago, I had 2 loaded carts of items and just walked out after they started hassling me and didn't want to sell everything to me. Went to Walmart across the street and spent $6k so take note Target. Asked why coupons matter, despite me not using them, and was told you can only use 4 of the same one. This is my 3rd experience with this store pulling this stunt in the last 6 months. Never known of any retailer who is going to keep their store from earning $1,500 - $2k in sales revenue from a single buyer or who wants to make a customer the topic of conversation and scrutiny right in front of the customer. Very unprofessional conduct, especially for persons who are supposed to be "managers". If these Target members of management and Asset Protection worked for me and I found out they were treating customers the way they do, causing me to loose sales and causing customers to go to my competition, they would be fired. I encourage everybody to go across the street and shop at Walmart instead of this Target. Walmart thanks me for my business and has no problem with me spending $2k-$3k in their store at one time. No "we have the right to limit quantities" nonsense and no interrogation from Walmart employees or management, unlike Target. Walmart CSM's and mgmt go out of their way to help me and check me out at the register. Walmart wants my money and the revenue, unlike Target, who tries to keep me from spending money in their store. Thought I would give this Target a last chance and they blew it. Three strikes and you are out. Will be contacting Target legal and the CEO of Target. Will report my experience and ask them to determine why this store scrutinizes me every time I make large purchases and why this store does not want my money. The CEO needs to know about the inappropriate conduct of their Asset Protection and store level management. It's time they clean house at this store and get rid of these "bad apples". These bad apples are costing the store sales and goodwill. read more

I frequently use the drive up service. However today, Taylor was quite rude and said that I needed to let them know when I was on my way. Like I stated I use this service often and I know approximately when I need to 'let them know I'm on my way' and then gps knows when I'm actually at target. Because my husband was driving Taylor asked him to sign before we had received our items, but another girl actually brought our stuff out. Not sure why Taylor was hanging around outside, but when we pulled up there was no one else around and no one had pulled away. read more

Love shopping at Target but will not shop at this location. Managers do not care so why would the employees? A cashier forgot to give me one of my bags, movies I purchased for my kids. I called as soon as I got home and found out. The customer service girl told me to call back in an hour and check. After about 4 minutes of telling her no, she finally went to check and found my bag at the register. Went back the next evening on the way home to get the movies and guess what? Seems that they took my bag, which was marked for pick up under my name, and put them back on the shelf! Told me to go find the movies and bring them back up and wait in line. Horrible customer service including front end managers!! Signs didn't correctly show what was on sale, system was down which happens, while trying to talk with my cashier another cashier walks directly in front on me talking over me, cashier forget my question. Try to ask front end manager same question and I get a smart ass remark. People value your job, it doesn't matter what it is you should be kind and caring and helpful to all people. When I lived in Dallas, I could not handle having to go to Walmart anymore and started to go to the Super Target there. I felt like it was worth the extra cost. Since moving to McKinney, I tried to avoid the Super Target at all costs. Every time I have been there they have always been out of a lot of stuff I needed or did not carry it, unlike Walmart. They also cost considerably more and take several times as long in the line. The lines always take forever, but tonight I spent just over half an hour in the checkout line. read more

I love Target. This location is clean and the employees are nice. I do have some issues on occasion with their stock of cat litter, the shampoo, and lotion that I use. I used to be able to find anything and everything I could ever want at Target, but they have seriously cut their inventory back. I believe this is just Target in general, not just this location. However, I shop here at least once every two weeks, I fill my prescriptions here (may change now that they sold out to CVS). I do avoid the grocery section just because they do not offer much in the way of organic foods. read more

I frequent this store quite often because it's convenient to where I live, so it's between this one or the one located off university most of the time. I do quite a bit of online order pickups, while the experience has not been bad with online pickup, it's just average because the service is not as quick as it's made out to be. Yes it does save me time from shopping around with my kids, but I feel like this should be a more speedy process. I've also done some grocery shopping here and would say they have decent prices on dry foods and frozen foods and a very large selection, they also have a separate wine store inside which is nice. The produce section has a large selection but I would say the quality just isn't there, even in the organic section, I find it hard to find fruit and veggies that aren't too ripe. I've never bought any of the deli food so I cannot say anything about that, but I have bought meat from here and would say that the quality is poor on the meat as well. The jennie-o turkey is great, but the other brands they carry of ground chicken, chicken breasts and steak just is not good. I suggest buying that stuff from an actual grocery store. The cashiers have always been friendly and there is always someone available to help in the self checkout, I'm anxious to see what they are adding to the store because it is currently under construction! read more

They use corporate terms that the general public does not understand. They will lie to your face and call you names and be little you before you even leave the store property. I purchased some wireless Jaybirds from a Super Target in Frisco and unbeknownst to me, they didn't have the UPC code on the box. When I went to return/exchange them at this location, (they hurt my ears they have this little cone thingy inside the bud that widens the diameter making it impossible to fit inside your ear...and the sound quality wasn't motivating enough for a bass head like myself), I quickly discovered my purchased item didn't have the UPC code. I was slightly offended at how the person helping me skeptically asked if I'd bought them from Target - "um, yes, here's the receipt dated less than 48 hours ago." I get it, due diligence. I just wish it was more gentle. They also seemed skeptical about refunding my debit card and appeared to want to issue me a gift card instead. I ended up asking if I could just exchange them for the wireless Beats2, provided Target price matched a competitor. They agreed, and I made the exchange. Clean, neatly arranged merchandise, somewhat slow service, typically painless interactions; give them a whirl. read more

Not the best customer service over the phone. Took me three times to get a hold of the toy department and even on the third try they were no help. I asked if they had a specific toy (blue orbeez) and I specified that I needed blue. They just said "we have orbeez. Not sure what color?" I've worked in retail before and I understand it's difficulties with certain customers and stocking and all the jazz but if I was an employee I would make sure to give me customer a specified answer and make sure they hang up the phone happy. This target is an hour from my house and I will not drive that far if they do not have what I need. read more

If there was anything lower than a one star review, I would pick no stars in a heart beat. This review is simply because of a manager, Ashley, was very rude to me today. I was calling on behalf of some sort of mix up between a price match vendor and target. I simply wanted to know why target stoped price matching amazon for a certain deal. I called multiple times before I was able to speak with a manager, Ashley. After getting out on hold and held up on, I was finally able to speak to her. As soon as she picked up the phone, she was very hostile and rude to me. I simply wanted more of an understanding between the mix up that was happening. In addition to being rude, she also decided to hang up on me after I'm trying to get clarification. Wasn't until I had to call electronics and talk to a wonderful manager within that department that was able to easily understand and explain the issue in hand. I shop at the second Mckinney target(Custer and 121) very regularly since I live a mile away and used to work next door. Typically when checking out in a lane I'll organize my groceries on the belt the way I would like them bagged and usually don't mind chitchatting with the cashier. Today I went, picked up a significant amount of fresh fruits, some meat and other snack foods and soda. Not only did the cashier lack all possible customer service skills, but he was literally throwing my food into the bags. I've worked in customer service for 3+ years now and no matter what's going on with my personal life, I always make sure the customer feels like all of my attention is on them. This guy didn't so much as say high before he started carelessly throwing the food I spent $100+ on. I'm not expecting a princess treatment, but perhaps some better training for employees? If you're not good with people, work in the stock room. read more

Please hire more staff for the pharmacy. This my 6th or 7th visit in the past 5 months and there's always 1-3 hour wait for drop offs. Weekends there's usually only the single pharmacist working with no one else. I've seen her politely ask people to call back later because she is the only one working. 50% of the time our electronic prescriptions have not been filled when we came to pick them up. Today while I waited another 15 mins, 2 hours after Rx was sent over, I see people handing out food samples and beauty consultants working the makeup isles... how about you send them to work in the pharmacy! read more
