Don't get me wrong, this Target has great stuff and the shelves aren't messy like other locations... but there's way more cons. I'm a regular at this location and the customer service is not the best! I prefer using self checkout to not deal with moody staff members. Most of them look like they don't enjoy their job to be honest. I've only had about three staff members treat me friendly and polite. There's 4 stalls in the women's restroom, and more than half of the time, there's only 1 semi-clean stall. There's always toilet paper around the toilet and on the floor which is gross!! The toilets are always flooded and are just disgusting. There's always staff walking everywhere, but yet they don't have enough to help up front ?! I've noticed they close up the self checkout area in the early evening, and usually only have 1-3 registers open later. Not only do they make it harder for themselves, but for their customers as well! Having only two registers open when the lines are blocking the lane is insane Some people don't have enough time to wait for the cashiers that enjoy taking their sweet time!! I've overheard how the "security guards" and managers talk and handle things, and it's not appropriate at all. They don't do their job well, and could care less about how us customers feel. The 16400 Beach Blvd, Westminster Target location has nicer customer service, I don't feel judged or scared to ask for help, and I feel comfortable enough to use their restrooms. This target has a huge selection and lots of services here. It is much cleaner than other Targets in nearby cities and a lot safer which is the main factor into choosing to shop here. The Drive up is great here! They have their own sectioned off area and carport. I love it. The customer service is good here as well. Specifically the drive up team is always kind. read more

I would like to know who is the discriminating lady at the self check out stand who was hawking me and asking me to scan everything in my cart when I was t even done!!!! I had pjs on because I dropped my kid off at school and didn't want to return to change! Who cares?! And do not ever judge a book by its cover. It's about 9am on a Tuesday. This Target is ok in terms of things in stock (it is fairly large) but their drive-up is stupid. For a populated area and bring a larger store, you'd think they have more than 6 drive-up parking spaces, right? Wrong! This is the DIRTIEST department store I've been to. I've been to Walmarts in the ghetto and it's not as dirty as this. The management does not take pride in their store and it shows. I went here last month and noticed the trash cans outside were overflowed. Drinks and trash bags were sitting outside; i didn't think much about it maybe it was just a busy day for them. Today, the trash was way worse than before. Trash all over the trash cans, paper towels by the entrance, restroom, in front of the front desk. This Target on Adams and Brookhurst is going down hill fast. It looks horrible inside. Shelves are getting more and more empty. The crew that works there look like a bunch of Sloths and Very Rude. Today I was looking for a lipstick, I took the top off and swiffled it up to see the actual color... instantly a Target crew member pops up next to me watching me out of the corner of her eye, never asking me if I needed any help or if I had a question. This really angered me, I have been shopping at this Target for many years. And they are opening a Prestige Beauty section... Really... do they think this will bring More customers to this Target. I used to be the world's most enthusiastic Target fan, but ever since last year's remodel, everything is so wrong it's as if they are deliberately attempting to drive customers away. We all got used to the new layout, including the ridiculous obstacle course they created when they opted to block aisles with randomly-placed display bins, but I will never get used to the increasingly low quality of their checkout staff. Obviously, they are attempting to drive people to self-checkout by putting their biggest morons on the registers. Service is so slow it would be comical if people weren't in a hurry to get on with their lives. I've gone from a twice-weekly shopper to a once-a-month shopper and even that is becoming a challenge. If you have all the time in the world, come enjoy the discount prices; if you don't, it's worth spending 1 extra dollar and buying your razors at the grocery store. read more

Again with the abhorrent treatment of customers. The manager (African American gentleman in a flannel but also not a gentleman) wouldn't let me check out at customer service. He said it's not allowed even though everyone knows if you have less than 10 items you can use it. In fact, I was here last night and completed my purchase in that section with 9 items. I'm not sure what his problem was for not only lying but also being extremely hostile in his delivery. Completely ruined my time there I got out as soon as possible. I ran into a staff member I see during my weekly trips to the store, Shelly. I made it a point to learn her name on her name tag. Shelly is super helpful, goes out of her way to help me and is always smiling and in a great mood. She's very polite and I appreciate the breath of fresh air from a retail associate. Called for almost 30 min before I got someone to help us out. I had dinner plans at the Market Broiler. Since I was a bit early and they both shared the same parking lot, I came in here to pick up a few items before heading over for dinner. It was a pretty standard Target store. Everything was well organized and clean. Their prices are always very fair. Now with the mobile app, you can search for your item and it'll tell you which aisle you can find it in the store. When it came time to pay, I used one of the self check-out machines. I had trouble getting it to use my gift cards on my mobile app. It took two very friendly Target employees to help me out and finally figured out what was wrong. I would definitely not have a problem coming here again if I'm ever in the area. read more

What's up with this Target? I was visiting California back in January, and my cousin whom I was staying with lives 2 minutes away from this location. I had just arrived, and my cousin didn't have any blankets for guests. This Target was open for another 15 minutes, so I decided to speed over and buy a blanket real quick. I know it's frustrating to deal with last minute customers, but it wasn't intentional. I was going to be in and out within less than 5 minutes. I got there with 12 minutes to spare, and I walked up to the doors. To my surprise, they had already locked the doors!!! In Seattle, the Target doors stay open until 11:59 PM. They'll allow customers in until they're actually closed. An employee at this location saw me standing there, and he just kept on with his business. It was extremely frustrating, but it is what it is. I went to a different location the next day, and the blanket I bought from Target was terrible. It was a Target brand Sherpa blanket, and it shedded like no tomorrow. I had a Sherpa blanket from Pink that I love, and you could tell that the one from Target was a much cheaper quality. When I came to Thai location to return the blanket, the cashier was quick and friendly. Therefore, they'll get an extra star because of him. read more

well the first thing I noticed about this Target location was how festive it was. It is completely decked out with Christmas activity. They have Christmas music playing inside the store and all of the beautiful lights and decorations they have are absolutely amazing. My kids love walking in and filling the holiday spirit inside this target location. It is definitely one of my favorites to go to during the holiday times. it is super easy to find all the things you need to buy at this location as well. I went to two separate Target locations trying to buy some clear tape. The other two locations were completely sold out. Just left this target and nothing bad ever with the actual Target store but my sisters and I went to Starbucks after and the short brown haired worker decides to make my drink, venti iced coffee, she shakes the milk with no lid and it spills onto someone.. LOL, what does she do? Pauses making my drink, with NO GLOVES ON, and she bends down wipes the floor to clean the milk and the man she spilled on then proceeds to NOT WASH HER HANDS and finish my drink. Are you serious? Of course I politely ask if she can remake it and wash her hands, she makes a scene and has someone else finish my drink while talking under her breath about how her hands are too small for GLOVES. Lol so wash your hands when you touch the floor and make someone's drink? Are you trying to spread a pandemic? Rude and absolutely horrible customer service. I'll be calling today to make sure this is well taken care of. I'd like to edit this and add how SPECTACULAR Taylor, the Starbucks supervisor, is. Usually pretty well stocked... The pharmacy workers are SO nice here. I havent seen the two girls in a few months that were usually there, but they NEVER asked me my name after the first month or two of me picking up my pills. They knew who I was, and for a HUGE pharmacy like that, that is incredible to me. There was only one girl who was rude to me once, and for whatever reason I got her the next month as well, and she gave me my prescription for free.... odd but I dont complain when things are free :) I wish Target would do something about the solicitors though. They have signs saying they dont allow it, but they dont do anything about it, and they are so agressive... Ive had them follow me into the parking lot. read more

The setup is still horrible . If you're an aisle-by-aisle shopper , don't expect to be able to do that here. The lack of organization or thought put into where products are placed throughout this Target, is a huge reason they're now my last resort instead of being my # 1 like it used to be. When you want to bargain shop why not shop here. It's great now they have a grocery section when before it was just regular merchandise. If you are a good shopper and really look on the shelves you can find some good deals. Be sure to download the Cartwheel app that can only be used at Target. It is easy to use you can just scan each of your products if there is a coupon it will show up. When you're finished shopping make sure the cashier scans the app's checkout bar code so it can add the coupons to your purchases so you can save some money. Sometimes this Target is really busy even some cashiers aren't very fast at checking out so you may wait a while unless you do self checkout then there can still be a wait too. There is a good selection of products at this store so whether you need makeup or dish washing soap you can find many brands even carry more natural products if you're fussy with chemicals that make your skin itch or you just fear BPA chemicals that causes cancer or health issues. Some not so well known brands are good too if you're into trying different brands. They have a nice grocery section too so you can get your ice cream when you crave sweets or if you're feeling a little thirsty you can find coconut water to hydrate yourself. Lots of products, food and variety in brands. You really can take your time to shop reading the labels if you have time here when there is a lot to look at. read more

Horrible customer service. This is my first time experiencing a horrible target. They made me wait for two hours just to end up not even be able to pick up my item. In the end they told me "we are so sorry it is out of stock now we can't control it ". (They already charged me saying that have it) The same lady who said that told me wait til it's time to pick up. I hate this Target. It doesn't matter what day or time I go it's always a chaotic shit-show of NASCAR in the parking lot, people practically running into you with their carts, rugrats screaming, insanely long check out lines, gypsies allowed to panhandle at entrances and cashiers who think it's cute and/or entertaining to make small talk with the customer at the expense of their time. There's one checker at this location that I purposely avoid because he blathers on for days. If I had my concealed carry (hurry up, July) I would have already put myself out of my misery. I will never forget my experience at this Target- I know it's not their fault but I was shopping there around Christmas time in December and the parking lot was completely full when I return from the parking lot my white car was written on it in red lipstick in big bold letters it said learn how to park! Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I used to do the drive up. Most people have been nice but one guy wtf dark but highlighted hair twice has brought groceries out to us and both times my kids say hello and both times he ignored them. Last time they thought he didn't hear so they said it again and introduced themselves to him. They are 5 and 6. He gave them a dirty look and slammed my back door incredibly hard. I rolled my window down and said hey. He immediately turned around so obviously he can hear. I said you need to learn some manners. Because of this I decided to go in and I had several groceries at the self check out and first item which showed on the tag 3 dollars wouldn't scan so the light went on. We looked for target employees they all ignored us. One was helping another person. We tried to get her attention for after and were nice about it. I had (no exaggeration) called every target in OC and each neighboring city, and Angela helped me the most she could finding and checking for any stock of a Funko collection I was searching for. She helped let me know they had a handful of merch still from the products I was looking for. She was the kindest target employee I've ever asked for help from. Angela being very generous, patient, and attentive to what I was lookin for. She had told me if I didn't find her on her shift, she would let her employees know. If I could give 6/5 stars I would. I came in on a monday 3/9 and the last bathroom checklist was dated 3/2! There's a bunch of toilet paper on the floor. Total mess. Management needs to be aware of this more. This target will have items in stock while other locations will not, this is what differentiates this location. The location is also really great because it is across the street from Sprouts and in the same plaza as a bank of america. Their clothing section isnt as extensive as other locations because they were doing remodeling. Great location for their inventory! read more

Half the customers either wear their mask like a chinstrap or with their nose out (is that how they wear their underwear too?). Store was over crowded and the item that was supposed to be in stock, wasn't in stock. Went back to my car and sat in the parking lot and ordered drive up pick up for the same item that was in stock, from a different location (Costa Mesa). Drove to Costa Mesa and the parking lot was an even bigger zoo than HB South. Confused signage with an overcrowded parking lot, I chose to park and pick it up at the tent. The associate did not ask for ID - anyone could have picked it up. To top off a horrible holiday excursion I paid a $1.00 bag fee (for a 10cent bag) for the privilege of them finding the item for me. Hmmmm. Kohl's, Macy's, etc, doesn't charge a fee. I guess I know who's not getting business again. Also, what happened to stores being at 20% capacity? Even better, what happened to shorter store hours to stop the spread. I checked the updated covid hours - Open till midnight - I thought we had a 10pm curfew. Hmmmmmmm..... Update 12/31/20 Received an email from someone at target with a discontinued number. Want to improve service ? NOT! Also- stopped by the HB South location and I'd love to meet their math teacher.
