This review is mainly about Abi. Before I get into how wonderful Abi is, I just want to say that every positive thing said in previous reviews is 100% accurate. It's clean, well organized and always fully stocked. But Abi is a rare gem in today's work force. She welcomed EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER who walked through the door, no matter what she was doing or who she was helping. She also never stopped moving. When she wasn't ringing someone up, she was cleaning and stocking her surrounded area while being hyper vigilant to every person walking in, walking out, and her register. As my son and I were walking out (already outside the store, door was closing) my son said "Merry Christmas" and to my surprise I hear Abi's voice yell "Merry Christmas to you as well!" She never missed a beat! To see someone so kind and welcoming with a great work attitude was very refreshing. I will definitely be back! read more

One of the friendliest and cleanest dollar trees I've ever been to. They really take pride in making everything nice and organized. I didn't have to go looking for things and trying to rummage through it. It was all displayed very clean and things aren't opened. The manager is on top of things and it's so very organized. I miss the 99 cent store but let me tell you something... this dollar tree location got the best of me. I haven't been in awhile but it was very organized and they had many hidden gems that I had a hard time not buying. I ended up getting a few snacks that I can usually find at regular stores and the portion sizes that they sell are perfect. I also noticed the employees provided excellent customer service by helping me and some of my students find items and were quick to jump in as cashiers when the line got long. This is something that I've noticed at other dollar tree locations closer to where I live. The little things like that go a long way with the shopping experience. read more

In my case, I am extremely impressed with this store. It is extremely well stocked, the merchandise is organized. You can walk aisles and everything is in its place.....Not like some other stores where you have to practically walk over the merchandise, because it's been so displaced. This is a pretty good Dollar Tree and I choose this location for my "go to". It's clean and the employees are efficient. The store seems organized and the holiday items are always displayed up front and neatly. Glad to hear that Dollar Tree is taking over some of the closed 99 cent stores. The store is fine, it's the staff that needs help!! Several female employees always have terrible customer service. My special needs child was excited to enter the store but instead the old lady with glasses working behind the register just glared at her. (No manners) As we were shopping she then watched us like a hawk making me and my children so uncomfortable I rushed to leave rather than taking my time to buy more. When we finally cashed out she says "are you done now?" Very rudely. The younger Hispanic man who usually works there is very kind but this old lady who I never seen before was the worst. I know finding good help is a challenge but common decency and knowing how to speak to people should be a requirement. Owner: hire better people, not rejects who can't get a job. read more

Been to many of locations and this one is truly the best! The cleanest, most organized, stocked and hardly anything was out of place! Definitely would come back in the future! I like the Dollar Tree! I'm so glad this one opened up down from my house. Sometimes, on my way home from work, I stop in here for a couple snacks for the kids or just to check out what holiday decor they have. A new Dollar Tree!!! I am in heaven ;) Actually I guess its been there for about 3 months, I dont know how this slipped by me! HA HA. Everything is still new looking and clean and organized, and they had everything I needed, that another Dollar Tree didnt have.... The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was I went in on Saturday morning last weekend... I had pulled up about 5 minutes to 9, when they open and I was waiting in my car for it to be 9. One of the employees was out front, and walked in... and the door was unlocked. It was about 2 minutes to 9 so I went in. One of the girls made a comment about not being open for 5 more minutes, and the other girl said its ok, the manager told her to open. The door was unlocked, so I figured it was open... I felt like she could have said Im sorry we dont open until 9 if she had a problem with it... it was a tad on the rude side... but the manager had actually said to open, anyway. Other than that, I really like this store. I went twice last weekend and both times found exactly what I needed and went in for... and more :) I agree with the other reviewer as well, it looks small from the outside but it definitely does NOT disappoint once inside! read more

i tried this location after a disappointing visit to the location on beach. i was looking for balloons and this place had a good selection. i picked 8 balloons to be picked up a week later. i paid so i wouldn't have to wait so long when i pick them up. staff friendly. so a week later i go pick up my balloons and i was an hour early. they weren't busy so they were able to do the order right away. great service! read more

Pretty amazing that there can be 4 people standing in line with an employee standing 5 feet away ignoring everyone. Worst part, I asked very politely, " can we get some help, please"? I love this store. I go out of my way to go here v. other similar store chains. Primarily because everything in the store is actually a dollar and prices are marked on everything as well even though it is only a dollar. They always have a great variety of items for different holidays and I pretty much always find something that I like. Grab an ice cream cone from Rite Aid and mosey on over to the newest Dollar Tree in Fountain Valley. It's what you would expect from any new store: clean and organized. I only wish I lived closer to this location because it is far superior than the one I live next to. From the outside, it looks pretty small for a Dollar Tree, but looks can be deceiving. The store is actually pretty deep and fits all the things you'd expect to find at any other one. So what sets this store apart from the obvious spic and span appeal? I feel like they have a bigger marketing push at this particular location. When I walked in, there was a little display showing how you can host a children's birthday party using purely Dollar Tree products- I think that is pretty cool. Also, on the two occasions I have been here, the employees made an announcement over the PA system highlighting specials available for that day. Even though they aren't too enthusiastic when they read the messaging, it's A for effort. So in a nutshell, this is a much needed discount store in the FV area! read more

Came buy to buy a few things I left one of my items behind called the store within ten minutes after realizing I forgot one of the items I payed for. The lady that answered the phone was so rude. She said it was my fault for leaving it and that the customer behind me must've taken my item.
