Haven't been to this target in a while, but it's usually a good store for the employees find what I'm looking for

Target howell coupled with target online is the worst shopping experience ever. For some reason the store never has stock of a particular popular item. Not even after I was told by employees that the particular vendor was just there with stock. So I turned to target online where if you are not a programmer who can build a bot with super speed. You do not get one. I have videos of getting items in my cart and going through checkout only for the website to crash over and over until the items are sold out. It went on for quite some time even saw messages on their page how it was selling fast and thousands were sold. Which I get, however I was there from the second it launched, had it in my cart dozens of times and then got errors in checkout until it was sold out 30 min later! read more

Great store, with amazing prices. They have much better service than the Walmart across the street.

The worst experience at guest services. The cashier refused to check us out claiming she had 2 customers behind us. Keep in mind we placed an order for pickup and was doing so at the time, we just picked up 5 small additional infant items. The cashier was so nasty and very matter of fact. We didn't appreciate how we were being treated and I will be contacting corporate. I do not recommend this location based on the experience. read more

How can I not give Target 5 stars! I've never had an issue in this Target other than being asked to put my mask above my nose & the long lines. They seem to always be well stocked. I've never actually needed an employee's help for anything so my review is solely based on my shopping experience. The $1, $3, $5 isles are always stocked with the good stuff. read more

On Sundays this Target gets PACKED. Everybody and everything is everywhere. The poor employees are understaffed for the amount of people they have to serve. There are always lines and the employees are RUNNING, busting their butts. Parking lot is a zoo. read more

I am still a fan even after 20+ years I am always in my Target happy zone with my purchases and cool finds and with this Target being my "home" store and with the grocery section, I usually have no problem stopping in for something I need and you know Target.. before you realize it your sucked in and the shopping basket is full of stuff you didn't know you needed. LOL However, as of late I have noticed changes, not sure if it just me or if others see it as well, like the jewelry counter section, seems to be closed up. You know the section, the one you pass down on the main aisle between the checkout counters. The costume jewelry area or matching set jewelry is not neat. The shoes section is a wreck, I am not sure what customers are doing and why they need to be so inconsiderate of this section but it really makes you wonder what the heck their closet looks like. The clothing area for women is not in order and a few times I have seen Associates trying to get the racks in order but it seems like a never ending struggle. The Associates by the way are always helpful, case in point- when I needed to buy a new winter coat and couldn't find what I wanted, I was getting frustrated, the young lady working that section showed me a beautiful Ava & Viv winter coat and it fit perfectly, very stylish and boy is it warm!! The grocery section of dry/canned goods is missing sections of particular foods, its not uniform, so I have to really move canned good around or the packaged seasoning and boxes to find what I am looking for. On the good side, they always have my favorite Green Goddess Salad Dressing- YUM along with Green Tabasco the Bread section is always stocked and the freezer/refrigeration "closed door sections" has a nice selection of lunch meat, cheese and frozen pizzas. The make-up and vitamin section is well stocked and so I do get these particular items here and the home accessories, lamps, pillows, throws and such I am always able to find something to make my home pretty. I am still a big fan of Target and will continue to shop here. read more

I wouldn't normally write a review for this. But it truly has rubbed me the wrong way even after 30 min of this encounter. Target and my shopping experience is always pleasant although I have never been to this target until today. I was shopping for baby clothes for a first birthday. As I entered the line to check out (no wait) I was greeted by a women who directed me to a cashier who was ready to check me out right away. She was absolutely delightful and super pleasant. My cashier however is what truly has broken my day. Maybe I'm sensitive, I don't know. As we approached she was not friendly, no smile, no greet, no words. - ok fine- maybe she's having a bad day and doesn't want to chat- that's fine. I said hello happily and placed my stuff for checkout. Halfway through checkout- still no word , I asked for a gift receipt. The dirty look alone made me want to retract my request. Long story short because I truly don't need to get into specifics but she argued with me about a simple task I was asking her to do. I was willing to redo the whole transaction or whatever was needed to make this easy for her and she continuously deflected with continuous eye rolls and huffs and puffs. So finally I caved because I was so dissatisfied and bothered about a gift receipt! I finalized checking out said thank you and she said absolutely nothing. Needless to say. I know her name I won't say it it's not worth it, But if you're truly having a bad day, don't come to work. Her attitude totally ruined my mood and I will NEVER go back to this target read more

Went to this store specially to pick up an item specifically listed on the website as specifically in stock at their store and can't be purchased via their website, ended up the store doesn't have the item and I was referred by the rep in the store to the Brick store being told it would certainly have the item in stock. When I told the guy that their website doesn't list the Brick store as stocking the item and I had been there yesterday and saw in person they didn't have it, he said well it's not his thing to know which stores actually stock what and the website doesn't actually tell consumers where they can find actual items as some target items share the same stock numbers as others and their system confuses the stock. Not very helpful to the customer. read more

DISGUSTED AND FURIOUS! Showed up near closing last night. Shabby chic sheets on sale! The blue! My favorite! Get them home and open case to dump in my washer and find a flat pink floral sheet from of a different pattern!!!!!!!!! Someone must have purchased, took them home, re stuffed the case with old dirty sheets and returned them clearly by some low life dirt bag!!!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THEY DONT CHECK THIER RETURNS! ESPECIALLY SHEETS!!!! I'd expect this from a walmart which I WHY I stopped going there! I'm so livid I cannot wait till they open here this morning, because I'm going to lose my mind when I get there Wasting my time and money! And selling me someone's old used dirty sheets because ppl are dirty thieves and target is slipping by not protecting their assets or customers! Can't trust them ever again. Not happy target. This location is far nicer than the Manalapan target, but the downside is the crowd of shoppers that they get Sunday-Friday morning really trash the store. The employees have to put up with a lot for sure, but I appreciate that they have preserved our amendment rights by not censoring magazines, like the bjs nearby. If you go to this Target on a Saturday, it's a great experience. It's the one day when the store is mostly clean and the employees are so helpful because they don't have to be worried about the other obnoxious crowd of shoppers. read more

This is one of the bigger Targets in the area. The Manalapan store which is closest to me, often is out of stock on whatever it is I'm looking for. This one is my go to store because they almost always have the item I'm looking for in stock!! Do not bother with the website info on what is or isn't in stock. Decent store for health & beauty aids & such but I don't buy much else from them & haven't been in one for a very long time. I actually needed a scrip filled & asked my Dr to call it in to the local CVS. Turns out the pharmacy in my local Target is CVS which is where it was called in. In a nutshell, there was a problem with the scrip but the pharmacist on duty was exceptional & resolved the issue. She offered the best customer service I have seen in a very long time. It the regular CVS wasn't closer to my home, I would continue to use the CVS at Target. read more

I'm an avid customer of this Target in Howell. However, after this experience... I will not be back. I bought a month's worth of groceries and I always come here to use my bank card and my EBT card to pay for the groceries. There was never any problem beforehand. Today after I put out all my groceries and had them ringed up, I told the cashier I would be putting $80 on my EBT card and the rest on my bank card. She spent about ten minutes to try to figure it out and couldn't so she got a manager. The manager told me that they changed their system and now I can't break up my transaction with the EBT card so I will have to unbag ALL my groceries, put them back and get them ringed up AGAIN so they could stop when they get to $80. You've got to be kidding me... there's a line of people behind me and this cashier is an older lady so I don't want her to go thru this again. I'm mad because they should really post this change in the system on some wall or simply tell the cashier to ask "What form of payment will it be today?" BEFORE they ring the customer up. Now I'm out of $160 instead of just paying $80. It's not the cashier's fault, she didn't know anything about it! A manager should be on top of this and tell all employees. read more

This Target location has been very good to me when I am inside of it. I usually peruse through the blu ray section and always find a great deal whenever I am in the mood for a blu ray, which is quite often. Overall, it is a clean location and am satisfied. The ONLY con is the parking lot, to which is the reason I am giving it 3 stars instead of 4. The parking lot is filled with carts people don't return and Target does not always do a good job of taking them back, so I always have to inconvenience myself and park far. read more

As a former 10 year Target team member, I can tell you my first experience here was good. I had to return something and the guest service was up to Target standards. The line got a bit long, and another team member came over to get us out of there quickly. I shopped, too. This store was clean, stocked and peaceful. Granted, it was about 9:30 on a Wednesday morning, but I've been in plenty of Target stores full of screaming, crying children (...and mothers...) at any time of day. As I am new to the area, I'm still getting used to the culture around here. It's a bit different than I'm used to but everyone at this Target (team members and otherwise) was pleasant and friendly (or at least kept to themselves). Overall, this store met the high expectation that I have as a former team member and target fan. (One more thing: when you get a receipt with a survey on it, fill it out!! These surveys are incredibly important to each individual store. It determines a lot of things including raises of the team, number of people they can afford per shift and a ton of other behind-the-scenes stuff. Fill them out!) read more

Friendly staff , store looks clean but check your cart people that shop there leaves there junk n dirty diapers in the carts . Best night to go there is Friday nights any other night you will wait in lines dealing with locals with cards and tons of returns almost on the level of scammers ! People buy stuff use it for the weekend and will return it on Monday nights . We bought axe body wash from the target in brick , when we got it home and went to use it we find out it was filled with urine !!!! The grossest thing I ever saw ! My absolute favorite Target store (so long as you go in the morning; the evening staff doesn't seem as professional to me). Well stocked, knowledgeable employees, and always smelling of popcorn. Very easy to get a "Target Team Member" to come and help you find something if you have a question. read more
