It's downtown casual clothes made to be mixed and matched for the minimalist. Madewell also mainly focuses on women. Their parent company is J. Crew.  They are currently running their end of season sales with an added 40% during the second week of January.  I walked in for the first time and felt I have found my new store. They carry everything from jeans, sweaters, hats, gloves, jewelry, handbags, pants, sunglasses, and some chic knick knacks for the home.  The only sad thing about this place is, as per the salesclerk, they only carry petite sizes online and it's only for jeans as they were originally famous for their denim clothing. Hence, the minus a star. The good news is they do carry a few sweaters in sized XXS. Not many but there are some. What I love most is not only are the extremely helpful sales people but their clothes which speaks for themselves. They are well made with clean structured lines. I found many of their styles of clothes to be classics and to be treasure for years to come.  Do I recommend this store? Oh Yes! I nearly missed the wedding I was scheduled to attend. Thankfully, I was able to find a replacement. When I returned to store looking for store credit, they flat refused. When I explained to them that they'd be losing a valuable customer, their response? "We'll be fine, thanks." I agree with the previous reviewer who stated "if you don't like people, don't open a store." Needless to say, I've advised the Sales Department head at my company that this shop is a terrible reflection of our brand and that we should no longer affiliate with Glow. She agrees and is taking steps to end the working relationship. Can't imagine that will be too problematic for Glow, in fact, I'm sure "they'll be fine." HORRIBLY HORRIBLY RUN BUSINESS.

I've shopped here numerous times and my experiences have never been anything less than enjoyable. The staff is SO sweet, down to earth and they always assist me in choosing the right outfits. It's really like I have my own personal shopper when I come here, the owner being especially helpful. I need that second/third/fourth opinion so I don't walk out with something that's not right for me! They carry some of my favorite designers (Shoshanna, Alice & Olivia, Elizabeth and James, Alexander Wang and many, many more!) which makes it so hard for me to choose what to buy! My most recent purchase was an adorable Shoshanna dress that I am completely in love with. As for their return policy, I ALWAYS ask in stores such as Glow because every return policy is different. This is NOT a huge corporation; it's a boutique, which means they most likely have a strict policy for returns. Personally, I have never had a problem with it. It was explained to me that the dresses cannot be returned because women were wearing the dresses, bringing them back (with stains, obvious signs of wear), and demanding refunds. The store was losing money (as someone who works for a small boutique business, I understand). They do take back other items, from what I remember. In regards to having "one size of clothing": The store is small so they display 1-2 sizes of each item so they can fit more styles on the racks. It keeps the store looking un-cluttered and it takes any stress (like shopping is really stressful) out of sifting through sizes. It also ensures that the clothes haven't been manhandled by some crazy bitch, ripping tags out of them to look for sizes. They have an enormous back-stock and always have my size. I honestly think there was one time where they didn't have my size and they offered to order it for me. In conclusion: Y'all bitches is CRAZY. Glow is fantastic.
