If I could, I would give 0 stars. I bought a whole living room set about a month ago and they asked…read moreme for measurements from the doors to my apartment, I sent that weeks in advance and even spoke with someone yesterday to verify everything. Fast forward to today and the delivery guys were not able to fit it into my apartment. I am livid at how disorganized this company has been with this entire situation, this could have been easily avoided if they would have checked the measurements I sent them weeks ago! I called to ask to speak with a manager and I still am waiting for someone to call me back, so I hope this does not get worse. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FURNITURE STORE!!!

I have dealt with a local value city in Lakewood and the staff there is very nice and helpful,…read morehowever, their service department is AWFUL. I bought a set of dressers and they were made so poorly and the drawers were breaking. I bumped into one with a laundry basket and the trim cracked. They finally after several weeks send replacement drawers- one is damaged. One is the wrong color and I'm missing one. Only one of the 3 sent was correct. I finally have to go into the store to get some assistance on getting a replacement to the replacement and the store was very, very helpful. So I send the email. I finally get a response from service and I send the chain of emails back to service and I tell them a drawer that wasn't damaged is now damaged. The trim is just falling off of the drawer. At this point I want a credit to get something nicer. Someone calls and speaks to my husband and tries to say you're over stuffing the drawers you shouldn't have even received replacement drawers. A technician is supposed to come out. Now I'm going to fight with them over the crap that was made because you suddenly don't want to send drawers after you sent me the wrong ones, you want a technician to come out and do what? Ridiculous. I feel bad for the sales people because they are very nice, but some of their products are made horribly and their customer service is the absolute worst. This company should be ashamed of themselves.

All I wanted was two chairs, instead I got weeks of aggravation, a warranty that is worthless, and…read moresome of the poorest quality furniture I have ever had the disappointment of owning, that is after waiting three weeks for it. Don't even get me started on the delivery process. The employees at Howell are nothing more than thieves and cons with the exception of the door greeters who are nice and probably have no clue the scams their higher ups are running. If you MUST go to this Value City, please be sure to triple check your invoice. They play too many games with sales tax numbers and are worse then car dealers. Sales people are rude and do not have experience with what they are selling or the financing that they offer.

I thought that I knew what I was getting into. I needed reasonably low-priced stylish furniture…read morethat may last five through ten years, then be discarded. I wasn't expecting hardwood worked, sanded, stained, and polyurethaned to perfection that I could hand down to my children. If I could afford that I would go to one of the local Amish furniture builders that I have used previously. I understood what I was getting was Ikea grade Chinese made furniture essentially crafted out of "manufactured hardwood" also known as sawdust and glue. There's nothing wrong with that, except unlike Ikea there's a bunch of what I would classify used car salesmen that couldn't hack it working there doing everything in their power to separate you from your currency. The only thing I can compare these people to is the used car salesman in the movie True Lies that tries to seduce Arnolds wife. That, that is the level of slimy underhandedness you will be dealing with. Save yourself the heartache, disappointment, and aggravation... Just go to Raymour and Flanigan
