As a new mother and just a family of 3, my husband and I haven't even had a chance to use most of the chairs. A month after delivery we noticed that one of the chairs had cracking all the way through the wood on the base of the chair, making it unusable. The chairs were purchased on sale but we also purchased the additional extended warranty. Bassett refused to discuss replacing the chair, only repairing, which we accepted. However, upon delivering the "repaired" chair, it was in worse condition. The cracking was not addressed. The screws were loose on the chair and there was black grease stains all over the tan cushion. I was so upset, refused the delivery and called the store immediately. After they did not call me back within the time frame they stated, I issued a complaint with the BBB and supplied pictures as proof. There, Bassett lied several times (I believe they didn't know I could read their response based on their surprise when I called to confront them regarding their response). They claimed that we broke the chair, refused delivery without cause, and that there was no chairs available to replace with (even though I can still go on their website and purchase the chair now). Upon writing another long response to BBB, Bassett agreed to repair the chair once again. While it came back in better condition this time, it still has a completely cracked base. It's one thing to argue about fixing/replacing the original chair, but it's another thing entirely to further damage the chair and then lie to the BBB. And while they did resolve the issues they caused while the chair was in their possession, it took many argumentative phone calls and writing to the BBB. I've dealt with some horrible companies in the past, but this one really tops them all considering the price of their items. Such a shame companies are allowed to operate like this. Now, a few weeks after that incident, the stain on the edges of the table have started to rub off where my husband and I sit and are showing white underneath. For the price Bassett charges I'm shocked the quality is so horrible. A very expensive lesson learned.

I saw shiny aluminum dishes (or maybe they were ashtrays) shaped like life-sized flip-flop sandals, and carved wooden "bathing beauties" painted with vintage bathing suits. There were cast iron hooks shaped like lighthouses and shells. There was a lot of "faux food"--I guess you're supposed to put a fake cake or pie on your un-used dining room table, though I'd always rather consider a REAL cake or pie. They took every precaution not to damage anything during the delivery. They even added felt to the bottoms of all my furniture to avoid scratches. We found the perfect master bedroom set (king), kids wanted IKEA modular bedrooms so we just bought them each queen mattress sets, the memory foam (the whatever is popular now mattresses). We also bought a huge sectional that had 2 recliners and a queen pull out bed built in for our basement room, roughly $5k in furniture, free delivery. In about 5 business days everything was delivered (we had air mattresses in the meantime). We chose the monthly payments with no interest as long as you make payments on time, we had ours automatically deducted with bill pay. Review 12/2016- Finally needed to get a dining table and living room set for our Great Room- Off to Value City. My thought was to just look not buy, this way I don't get frustrated. As we were walking around the store I really wasn't feeling it, but then in the back living area, my hubby saw a really nice grey sectional (picture uploaded) since I have wood floors I really prefer furniture I can sweep under fully and this couch was only 2 pc, fluffy back but firm when seated really comfy, we agreed we would get it. I also saw a pub height dining table (picture uploaded) that had different wood shades in the make up, it is square but round if you pull up the side leaves, then it seats from 4 to 6 with a flush lazy susan in the middle (picture uploaded) which is also really nice. So I have the table set up with 4 chairs and I out the other two chairs in the kitchen for the counter bar, perfect height. Also I am petite so usually on pub chairs I don't reach the foot rung, so my legs dangle, really uncomfortable, I don't have that problem with these chairs, they are really comfortable, you can add cushions for the seat, but I found you don't really need too, but I did add for the back rest, just for decoration. No scratches, dings or tears. I also got 5 year warranty on both sets which covers pretty much everything, yep even if a rung on the chair is broken-- covered. When speaking with the salesman they had the table in stock but not the couch in grey they did have it brown, so we opted to wait until we could have both delivered at the same time. Delivery was about 2 weeks, the day was super raining when they arrived, the crew put liners down on the entry way so they didn't track in dirt. Super considerate. From arrival, unpack, set up , clean up and leave about 45 minutes, which I think was pretty fast. I attached to photos so you could see the couch and table. Prices are moderate to expensive, depending on what you are looking for, we went when they had a sale going on, with an additional % off and a 3% tax rate which is great, so we got the table with 6 chairs and the 2 pc sectional for a pretty good price.
