This GoodWill is very well run. Staff is always courteous. Sometimes you might see brand new items with cheaper original prices than their's but I go there open minded, looking for unique, fun items that I won't find in the mall. My partner and I decided to pop in while we were in the area for a quick visit to see if we could find any goodies. You never know what you're going to find while thrifting and it was no surprise we came across a few different items to snag. The store was very organized and made browsing by section very easy. After finding some cool items we decided to buy, we hopped on the lengthy line. While the line was very long, the employees worked efficiently to speed things along. The woman who rang us up was so friendly and funny, even giving us some background on the very essential Tutancommon Cold tissue box that I simply had to have. Avoid if you can... Used to be a good place to save some money and help get you by on a limited budget, super helpful for folks that can't afford $20 shirts and $30 jeans at the cheapest Kohls or Walmarts but now it's more costly to shop here than a Kohl's. Sad to see what's happened to all of these Goodwills, workers should be embarrassed. Even watched workers talk rudely at length about a customer who had pointed out the embarrassing pricing on some of the items within earshot of other shoppers. Very nice store. Also dropping off is very easy and they will come out to help you unload.

No respect for your time. Was trying to drop off a trunkload of brand new items and they stopped all of us in the dropoff lane to get their pizza (Why did this take all of them again?) then insisted only one car drop off a time while they just stood around. I would have been there a half hour waiting for these lazy kids to move at the rate they were going. I went to the other Goodwill in Toms River and was in and out in under a minute. They were in a good mood but a bit hyper and making noise, especially my 2 year old was yelling rawr, and a worker had the audacity to get on the LOUD SPEAKER and announce that people with kids NEEDED TO KEEP THEM QUIET because they were ANNOYING the other people in the store. Like seriously?! They are babies!!! I walked out and left my full cart. You should do better with interviews goodwill!!! Maybe hire people that smile, have nice personalities and try to help moms out, maybe give a frikin lolipop or something, rather than ridicule over a speaker or at the very least come say something to my face instead of announce it to the whole store. This is such a great Goodwil. Yeah, it's a hot mess and there's stuff everywhere, but the staff is trying and they're always friendly and helpful. I've noticed a lot of the same people working over the years so it must be well managed. They have good prices, and a good selection. Very large digital media section, a lot of shoes and clothing, and usually pretty interesting stuff. They move inventory out pretty fast so there's always new stuff to rummage through. I've found great books and furniture here. Very happy with this particular Goodwill. read more

The Goodwill Store in Brick is a great place to both GIVE and GET! They are always taking donations, so any time I feel like I need to clean out my closet I make a bag and take it over. I make sure the clothing is of quality, however, because I know that is what I would want to buy. Most of the things I drop off are clothes that don't fit or an outfit that I bought and just never liked. LOL. You can also donate toys, DVDS, household items, etc. There is always one or two workers at the drop off center in the back that can assist you in unloading your bags/boxes if they are heavy. As far as the clothing, most of it is in great shape. You can find a lot of brand /recognized name items and in good condition. Express, American Eagle, Aeopostle, Ann Taylor, the Gap, to name a few. I have never seen anything on any of the racks that is in poor condition, so I believe Good Will does an excellent job at weeding out things of poor quality. They have endless isles of tops, jeans, dresses, shoes, coats, etc, for both men and women, as well as children. The place is HUGE! The turnover of items is also FAST. Every time I go in the place is fully stocked with NEW stuff! They also have a LARGE staff. You can tell they are staff because they have T-shirts on that say "I love goodwill" hehe. I think they are kind of cute... I wonder if they sell them! haha! The staff are busy, but there is always someone around if you need help with the dressing room or want to know when they expect a new shipment of shoes, etc. I just heard from a fellow yelper they are opening one in Toms River.... which means they probably have so many donations that they need another location! If you are looking for ways to save money, need to make room in your closet, or BOTH, don't underestimate good will. I have been shopping at the brick location at least twice a week since they opened a few years ago.and I have bought furniture at a bargain but I stay away from the appliances and electronics because you only have 24 hours to return if defective for store credit only.some appliances are so filthy they shouldn't be on the shelves it's so obvious no one inspected.last but not least please stop putting the very sticky price labels on the front! of mirrors monitors TVs picture frames basically anything that will scratch or damage the surface.just place the sticker on the side or back. read more

I've been this this store 3 times within the past 3 months and was there yesterday as well! I've found amazing things in the kitchen/wares/furniture section. The prices are decent and there's a lot to look through. I found an amazing Nikon point and shoot camera for $7 that was in like new, Great Condition!! As for clothing, I'm a size small 5'2" and I ALWAYS find an amazing deal at this store. I absolutely love the idea that certain colored tags of the day receive 50% off! Whether I'm looking for business casual outfits, or something trendy, I so far never have an issue with finding something for $3. In response to another review that said there it was highly disorganized, well it's really not serious. Staff so far is super friendly and approachable and you can easily locate a staff member if you need to! Overall I have no issues with this store and as long as I'm spending $30 and walking out with a heavy bag of clothes then everything is good with me! read more

Love this store. Large selection of glassware, pictures and clothing. They also have a decent selection of furniture. I saw a nice outdoor patio set there and also a lovely kitchenette set. I do come here often because it is the closest thrift to me, but I am never that impressed with the selection. While there are good finds sometimes, a lot of the clothes are incredibly worn down. Prices are a bit high if you ask me, for example all the jeans are $8. When I go to the thrift store, especially a goodwill that gets all of their donations for free, I don't want to pay $8 for a pair of jeans that is covered in holes (not made intentionally) and missing buttons. I see clothes there that stay there for months, untouched by anyone. It's also frustrating to see things moved around. They moved the skirts to a different section then moved them back to the original spot? It just makes things more confusing. I always feel very dirty leaving this goodwill, the conditions don't seem very nice. And, it's ridiculous how busy it is sometimes. The last time I went in there were people everywhere, cashiers yelling, and glass breaking. Sometimes the experience is just so miserable, and with the rows and rows of old worn clothing, it's just not worth it to come here. read more

WOW... just wow. This Goodwill is SO greedy and it shows. It is literally OVERFLOWING with stuff that is SO overpriced. It is hard to even navigate or browse because this place is so packed. On top of that, the prices are VERY steep for a Goodwill. Everything is individually priced, not like most goodwills where each category is a set price. Maybe if they'd lower their prices and weren't so greedy they wouldn't be slam packed with stuff. read more

The selection here is very good, with a quick turnover. The young men who work/sort the dropoff are great. Due to Brick's dense population, the staff turnover is kind of severe. There is a good, wide selection of clothing. Please double check your movie DVDs and CDs; I've found a few empty cases. Many new things, especially in clothing, some days, things are a mess. 4.5 stars overall (it does get crowded). read more

Wow, I cannot believe this happened to me.... I was at the Goodwill in Brick that I frequent. I was making a donation for the upteenth time. Throughout the years, I have continuously donated numerous clothing items, electronics, books, shoes; anything and everything that I felt like could get more use from someone else. After donating, I always end up shopping for myself. I loved the Goodwill. Especially at Brick. After donating clothes, shoes, and books this time, I went to shop around. I bought a few movies, numerous clothing items and a pair of bar stool chairs caught my eye; I was going to reupholster them. I asked if I could buy them and return the next day to pick them up because they couldn't fit in my car at the time and I knew that they put tags on furniture for people to pick up later. I spent over 100$ that day. I returned the next day with my boyfriend to pick up the chairs. They were not where they were the day prior. I asked where they went and no one could really give me an answer, until one worker said that she sold them to somebody else because there was no tag on them. Mind you I had my receipt and the slip for the chairs. I complained and said how much I frequent the store not only to donate but to buy things as well. I said that the employees should be trained better. I asked for a refund, as this was not my fault, but the employees fault and the manager was very nasty and said that he could only give me store credit. I took my receipts back and my boyfriend and I proceeded to call the regional manager. We got a hold of the secretary and she told us that we should definitely be receiving a refund. A few days later, I got two calls. One from the regional manager's office and one from the Goodwill store at Brick. The regional office asked if I got my refund yet and the manager at Brick left a very nasty voicemail saying that I need to pick up my chairs otherwise they will have to be resold. I called the manager of the store back and at this point, I am catching an attitude because of frustration. I said that I went the next day and was told that the chairs were not there; mind you this particular manager was there that day as well. He told me I had to pick them up in the next day or that they would be resold as he needs to move around products. I said that I am either getting a refund or the chairs that I bought. He was very impolite and unprofessional. My boyfriend had to go the next day because I had work. The same manager tried to get us to bring home chairs that weren't ours and were actually bought by someone else, with a tag on them. My boyfriend explained that the number on the tag was not ours and that those chairs were not ours. The manager did not want to hear it and wanted us to take chairs we didn't even buy. My boyfriend said no you're going to give me a refund because this is all your guy's fault. He said well you're not getting a refund from me, go pick something out for store credit. My boyfriend said that we will get a refund one way or another and that they just lost loyal customers and that we would not be returning. The manager said good because you are not welcome here. The nerve of people that are supposed to be helpful and reliable in reality are unprofessional and nasty. Goodwill employees do not care about the welfare of others and that is clear because of how they treat their loyal customers. I encourage all of you to donate and shop elsewhere. Most of the money goes to the CEO of the company anyhow. And this is all very heartbreaking for me to say because I have loved Goodwill for years and that was the only place I got clothes from. Please, go somewhere else where they actually care and help others. And if anyone knows where I can donate clothes and other things to that actually appreciates it and does something good with those things, please let me know. read more

This is a great store for kitchenware. There are no books and the clothing is kind of hit or miss. There's a small furniture selection but it's usually pretty good. If you need baskets this is definitely the place to go- huge, inexpensive selection. They also often have a lot of lamp shades. Of course what they have changes constantly so you never know if you'll find a cart-load of treasures or go home empty-handed. read more

I am very disappointed in the staff and customer service that I received from this store location brick nj on brick boulevard. The talk thin brown haired employee rudely asked my husband to put his mask up. He then proceeded to tell her he has a medical condition. He had a stroke a few years back and has a hard time with mask. She said do you have documents that say you have a medical condition? Instead of trying to accommodate him. She was confrontational and very rude and he doesn't need to disclose to her any of his medical information. I couldn't believe how nasty she was. let's be honest - this store is what it is. i enjoy shopping here. the clothes are clearly organized by type and size. some other resale shops don't organize by size so i really appreciate this. they keep it as neat as possible. i go there at least once a month and have never found anything with rips or that's dirty. they have about 4 changing room which are decent sized. the only complaint i have is that the people who take your donations could be a little more grateful. i have donated twice now and all they do is grunt at me. in this area there are a lot of resale stores where i can donate items so a little eye contact and a tiny smile would be appreciated read more

The store was so crowded today and a mess. I found a few items and got in a really long line. Suddenly I had to use the restroom so I had to leave my place in line. A big sign said from now on No Customers can use our restrooms. I couldn't believe this. WTF? I have issues after having cancer and really had to go. It was very painful and they just said not in our store. I had to leave and drive to wawa a mile up the road. Jerks. I used to spend a $100 a month there buying for reselling. I went out of my way to come to this goodwill and was horrified by the disorganization of the store. They had jeans mixed in with the shirts, and the staff was horrible at offering assistance. The isles were so tight that you could barely even move through walking with someone next to you. All the sizes and colors were mixed together, unlike other goodwill stores i've visited.
