Awesome!!! This is a consignment/second hand/thrift type store with endless rooms of women's clothing in incredible condition and amazing brands. Upon my arrival I thought the store was just the three rooms you can see from the front door but boy was I wrong, there's at least five rooms on the first floor and four on the second floor, it just kept going! The first floor had some things that seemed to be "new" and not second hand, but 95% of the store was for resale, which is what I was looking for. They also have a room with just vintage clothing and accessories which was cool to look at. This store seriously has everything you could think of from formal dresses for events and weddings, to your favorite brand jeans from Bloomingdale's. I was so pleasantly surprised! They also have a ton of purses for sale with brands like Kate Spade and Michael Kors all the way up to Louis Vuitton. This store is also organized by size and color which makes shopping so enjoyable and easy. I thought the prices were very fair, with many of the items I picked up being about 12$ or 14$. I wasn't in the market for any of the more expensive brands, so I can't speak on those prices but from what I saw I thought things were fairly priced for the great condition everything was in. Also, many of the clothes were organized by brand like Free People, Anthropologie, Nike, Lululemon, and way more. There's a fitting room as well which was helpful. I didn't get to check out the other stores but it seems that there was also a Men's store and Children's Squan Dry store next to this one, which was all women's clothing. It's also worth mentioning that this store had some accessories and small home goods too, both used and new, so it can be a great place to shop when you need to buy a little gift! I was tellinger her to stop talking about my illness VERY outloud and stop making comments about her being sorry for me. So no, she followed me to harrass me. Yes. I dropped the f bomb quit a bit because I kept telling her to "f*cking stop". Her age and personal business is none of mine (see how easy that is) I'm also close to her age, work full time AND in the medical field. Teach your employee manners, empathy, and common sense. Terrific spot, with (and I detest this term) well curated goods. SDG is a level higher in price than many other thrift/second hand stores, but you'll find nice examples of upper end clothing here. RL Polo, Brooks Brothers, LaCoste-and the goods are in ready to wear condition, sometimes appearing never worn. Ample parking, great butcher shop next door, wonderful coffee shop across the street-all in charming downtown Manasquan. read more

Out of all the places that I've been to for second hand merchandise, this place has designer items at the best price. The lady who run it really know her items. She is so courteous and she always give you an honest answer of whether or not that item looks good on you or if it's a good fit for you. Her items do change from time to time with new merchandise. You never know what you'll find here because new stuff comes in every day. Because I've been shopping here for years, the staff thinks of me when they get new items in that fit my unique style. This is review of the store at pt pleasant at Arnold Ave location only: There many good finds here in ALL sizes, which is refreshing when its very hard to find since many boutiques in the area gear to tweens. left with two blouses for 16 dollars, one being lucky brand. They offer good selection of beach, as well as office wear. It was nice to browse many isles of clothes , with no rush from staff. They have many bags too including Vera Bradley and jewerly. I've been a customer of Squan Dry Goods for almost 9 years, and will continue to be one for years to come. Their system is so simple and works out so well for the consignors and for the customers. The consignors get 50% of whatever their clothes sell for (and you don't have to pay a yearly fee to sell your clothes as you do in other consignment stores), and customers get great deals on great name-brand clothes. Their employees, especially Kim, are so kind and helpful. They will be honest with you with whether or not an item will sell. If an item does not sell after some months, it will be donated to charity, which they do make clear to you. I'm wondering if Lynne F. below has actually ever been in the store, because consignors do not receive checks once their clothes sell -- they have the option of either receiving cash or store credit. Squan Dry Goods is great if you need one place where you can shop for toddlers, teenagers, college students, young adults, and adults. They really sell clothes for all ages, which is why I've been able to shop there for so long. Their prices are unmatched, which makes it so easy to get lost there for hours and come out with bags of clothes. Very unique consignment store. There is so many rooms with so much stuff it's a little hard to navigate, but you can definitely find some treasure in here. Some of the clothes and shoes I feel were a little more than used and shouldn't be sold, but that's just personal preference. Do not take your items here to be consigned. You will not get anything back for them. I had several black hefty bags full of clothing on consignment, brand names that were in perfect condition...even some brand new with tags, like NYDJ, Ann Taylor, Joes jeans, Hudson jeans, AG jeans, Jones NY, Etc.,... I received a check for $38.00! Thousands of dollars worth of current clothing! In reality, I was robbed! Needless to say, I am more than extremely angry and disappointed. I would have preferred to have thrown the clothes in the garbage, than to have been robbed by Squan Goods like I was! read more

Squan Goods is an awesome store. It has something for everyone; children, teens and women of all tastes. I just shopped today and had Ann Taylor in one hand, and Free People in the other. Their selection of clothing satisfies both the artsy and classy styles I like. I bought three tops and can't wait to wear them. The store also has unique, affordable jewelry and amazing furniture. The furniture is hand painted by a local artist and each piece is named through her inspiration while creating the piece. The prices can't be beat. I love this place. Great for you ladies who hate to repeat outfits but dont wanna break the bank. This is located near high rent districts, so consigned merchandise can be higher end but at a fraction of the cost. And very gently used. I stop at this place when Im looking for something unique to wear maybe just once or twice, or hey you may just find a gem there. Go there when you have time to spare as the selections are extensive and in a lot of different sections. Truly feels like you are going on a treasure hunt. I can liken the desire to go to this place in the same way one would go to say forever21 or h&m, but with designer selections, and overall lower price point. I felt better about $20 spent on a used designer blazer vs $30 spent on a charlotte russe one. Enjoy! This place is fun! read more

My wife loveeeeeessssss this store. She has consigned with them for over ten years and since has pay off all credit cards as a result of shopping here. She not only sells a ton of here own clothing but then uses it as credit to purchase brand name items. She finds the staff more than friendly and they never forget her name. I went here to try and sell clothing. I found the two women who run this store to be very abrupt. They never seem to be taking in what I have to offer even though it seems to be appropriate for the upcoming season. I felt like I was being dismissed. I grew up in Brielle and I don't think Manasquan would be happy with the way they treat people. Someone should go in with clothes to consign and see how they are treated. I was very disappointed. I consign here and use all my sales for store credit! I can never leave empty handed and there is a store for every need. If I have the afternoon to burn I go to manasquan, if I want to spend some time and get a few fun things I'll go into the beach. And all my cut off/high waisted shorts have come from their outlet store. Never feel bad about a project with a pair of $4 pants. read more

Sublime consignment in a charming beach community. I had a rushed 40 minutes before closing time in resale paradise at Squan Dry Goods and came out with 12+ pieces of my new favorite clothes, including the black Loomstate Organic skinny jeans I have been hunting for (for two years), three new Lilly Pulitzer dresses, two pairs of Nanette Lepore nautical inspired pants and a hand made/hand embroidered 1970's vintage peasant blouse - all for the price of a new pair of Loomstate Organic jeans. The prices are reasonable to holy bargain. About 9 rooms or 3000 square feet of well-organized, clean clothing and accessories for women aged 15 to 45. The staff was truly accommodating, "it's OK, we will wait, don't worry, ...", knowledgeable, helpful, highly professional and NICE! No bitchy or clueless teens here! I would think twice about bringing your clothes here to consign. They do not keep track of what sells. Here is the deal: Let's say you bring in 20 items that should sell for between $8 and $16. You will get half of the price the item sells for. If it does not sell after a while, it will get reduced and then if it does not sell, it will be donated. After a while you go back to hopefully collect some money! They give you tickets showing you 10 of your items sold and give you $35. You ask where are the other ten items you left and they do know know! So, you don't know if they got donated or someone decided they liked your clothing and decided to keep it for themselves or give it to a friend! Consigned there once and will not do it again! read more

This is honestly my favorite store ever! I started coming when they first opened and the store just keeps getting better and better. It is inside an old building which gives it so much character and the store is decorated in a quirky, artsy way...besides the awesome merchandise, it is just fun to take in all the unique decorating touches. Almost my whole wardrobe is from here; there's just no reason to spend full price on new clothes at the retail stores anymore. I've gotten so many incredible bargains on great designer clothes, that there are just too many to mention. And it isn't like other thrift stores where the clothes seem old--all of their clothes are clean, in great condition, and beautifully presented. I constantly get compliments on my clothing because I find so many items there that are just so unique compared to the usual retail merchandise. I popped in there today for a clutch to use on my wedding day and found the perfect one right away for FOUR DOLLARS! Also, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Consignors Beware! They will sell your designer goods at pennies on the dollar, and your goods will mysteriously disappear. I made it a point to stop in every couple of days over the course of a month to try to get back at least some of my belongings. Since the owner makes no bones about not keeping track of your consignments, you have no recourse but to resolve not to consign there again. It would've given me more satisfaction to stuff these items into a clothing donation bin, rather than to have gifted my nearly new designer merchandise to the owner. read more
