I understand the sign says there is no public restroom, but we politely asked one of the women working if she could please make an exception. She immediately said no, even after we explained that my mom really needed to go. I understand having policies in place, but I feel like there are times when a little compassion and humanity should come first. We weren't asking to use the restroom just for convenience, we were genuinely in a situation where she really needed it. Unfortunately, because of how the situation was handled, we won't be returning. At the end of the day, just be human. You never know what someone is going through.

The staff are usually very kind, they have good clothes, and it's one of the less dirty goodwills in Jersey. But the prices have almost tripled as of lately, leading to me searching for other places. Mind you, Goodwill gets these clothes for FREE. Just because something is a brand name doesn't mean it should be absurdly expensive. Why is a plain stained tank top more expensive here than at Walmart? $7!!! Stained! It's used! I understand the reseller issue, but there's a point where the inflation is manufactured. And I have a feeling it's because a lot of young people shop here as well. They also got rid of the color based discounts and pricing by weight at a certain number of clothing. Most Goodwills still follow it even if they are expensive. I even overheard the employees having to price a used Harley Davidson jacket at $75 and I bet it was extremely plain and worth $20 max. Because that's what the clothes looked like to me. I really hope they find a happy medium, because if every trip is going to be $40 every time for 5 items, I won't be coming back and I'll stop recommending it. They also have a large section of clothes organized by color only, not size which makes shopping much easier. There's a shoe section as well as a small men's and children's section as well. The consignors get 50% of whatever their clothes sell for (and you don't have to pay a yearly fee to sell your clothes as you do in other consignment stores), and customers get great deals on great name-brand clothes. Their employees, especially Kim, are so kind and helpful. They will be honest with you with whether or not an item will sell. If an item does not sell after some months, it will be donated to charity, which they do make clear to you. I'm wondering if Lynne F. below has actually ever been in the store, because consignors do not receive checks once their clothes sell -- they have the option of either receiving cash or store credit. Squan Dry Goods is great if you need one place where you can shop for toddlers, teenagers, college students, young adults, and adults. They really sell clothes for all ages, which is why I've been able to shop there for so long. Their prices are unmatched, which makes it so easy to get lost there for hours and come out with bags of clothes. And hey, it's a great excuse to clear out your closet and fill it back up again.

They also have a room with just vintage clothing and accessories which was cool to look at. This store seriously has everything you could think of from formal dresses for events and weddings, to your favorite brand jeans from Bloomingdale's. I was so pleasantly surprised! They also have a ton of purses for sale with brands like Kate Spade and Michael Kors all the way up to Louis Vuitton. This store is also organized by size and color which makes shopping so enjoyable and easy. I thought the prices were very fair, with many of the items I picked up being about 12$ or 14$. I wasn't in the market for any of the more expensive brands, so I can't speak on those prices but from what I saw I thought things were fairly priced for the great condition everything was in. Also, many of the clothes were organized by brand like Free People, Anthropologie, Nike, Lululemon, and way more. There's a fitting room as well which was helpful. I didn't get to check out the other stores but it seems that there was also a Men's store and Children's Squan Dry store next to this one, which was all women's clothing. It's also worth mentioning that this store had some accessories and small home goods too, both used and new, so it can be a great place to shop when you need to buy a little gift! While visiting, there were many kind women working and straightening up around the store. They let us know that all clothes were 50% off which was a great steal as the clothes were already priced really well! Pants were about 7$, tops 5$, which was very affordable especially for the quality of the items there. This is definitely a gem that I look forward to returning to!
