I find it fitting that this store has such high reviews, and others are lower. I have gone to a few Arhaus locations, but ultimately purchased my furniture here. Where the others failed, the crew from the Freehold store picked up the slack and made sure we were taken care of throughout our process and ensured we will be customers for a long time. We furnished a beach house almost entirely from Arhaus. What we bought elsewhere was still inspired by their style. We mainly worked with Jeffrey, and to a lesser extent the manager David. They were both so helpful and easy to work with. No pressure, just professional assistance. They were pleasant in providing their advice but not condescending when our ideas clashed. They locked us in the best prices as sales came up and bundled our orders to keep delivery costs and inconveniences to a minimum. I should also say they kept in contact via email and phone even after hours if we had questions. Deliveries and post sales service were both amazing. The delivery crews took their shoes off each time they crossed the threshold of the house, even after I told them that was not necessary. One of our items was damaged. We did not notice it right away. Weeks later I sent a few picture to the store and 2 days later the concierge people called me with apologies to set up a replacement. No hassle, no questions, just customer service the way it should be. Just one family's experience but I enjoyed spending money here. Review is on customer service not on the furniture. furniture is great and have many options to mix and match. Service in the freehold is lacking , manager and staff are unhelpful and act disinterested. Never once offer Options on different styles on pieces. Perhaps my wife and I are young and don't fit their demographic. We Left the store with a $18k bill under 20 mins . 4 weeks no word / phone call or email from freehold on delivery date or update. We decided to go to the Hackensack location ... excellent ! , would recommend 1000% over the freehold location! We went in to ask a question and ended up with tons of options and information that we made an additional purchase of 16k. I was a 7 year customer with Arhaus. I as well as a lot of people have has an extremely hard time the last few months. I am not looking for sympathy but I was paying my bill religiously and forgot when the promotion was over to pay off the furniture. I called to explain and got the call person and her manager basically telling me nothing we can do and it doubled my bill? there attitude towards me almost made me feel like I was not worthy of there time. I will pay off the bill but will not return to that store nor give that store any recommendations ( as I have done many times ) ever again. Its a shame we knew everybody by name as they knew us. ARHAUS FREEHOLD, NJ- NO GOOD! This review is based on customer service, not quality of furniture. By far the worst Arhaus experience ever. We have spent over 100,000. with Arhaus in the last 5 years or so on 3 homes. The manager I believe Phylis is not helpful, the sales person Lillian only made the sale because my wife told her to grab a pen and follow her around. It was her first decent sale of 28,000. and she started crying she was so happy. Jacksonville, Naples, Tampa- all wonderful experiences. Caring before and after the sale. My wife knows the inventory better than the sales people, which at Arhaus, Freehold are quite incompetent. We have had a retail business since 1964. Making everyone happy all the time is difficult. But most of the time it's an easy thing to do, IF YOU WANT RETURN CUSTOMERS! These folks are careless, incompetent and uncaring. Im sure it won't be long, unless they hire some professionals, that this particular store will be out of business. read more

What an amazing place! It's like going on a tour of the world. They have stuff unlike any of the standard furniture stores. And the staff really knows their products, and how to put them together for the best looks. I was very impressed by the relaxed approach of the the saleswoman Edie, who took me on a tour of the store while being cognizant of my needs. Instead of just telling me what I wanted like so many other salespeople do, she listened! I was able to find lots of cool ideas I would never have considered. Before long, even the store manager chimed in to help me by adding his obvious experience in quality furniture. Today my wife and I dropped some serious cash here to (finally) furnish our dining room. I hate big ticket item expenditures, and generally put them off for as long as can -- which usually means until my wife starts begging and screaming. Well, the begging and screaming for a dining room set has been going on for the last three years and I finally relented. She first lured me in with the magic word "sale" and then told me I would like this Arhaus furniture store because they sell the kinds of things I myself would design. She then showed me an online photo of the buffet she liked, and I was shocked to find myself agreeing with her selection. (My wife and have entirely different tastes in just about everything and rarely agree on anything, especially furniture.) For things like this, though, I have to see them in a store before I'll commit to buy. And so over to the Freehold Raceway Mall we went this afternoon to check it out. I had never heard of Arhaus Furniture. And truth be told, I really hate furniture shopping in general and have done virtually none since we got married nine years ago. Even when we moved from a small apartment in Brooklyn to a big house New Jersey in 2011, we chose to fill our extra rooms with furniture handed down from relatives -- a move that was meant to be temporary, but that I've been purposely stalling for years to replace. Upon entry, I immediately fell in love with the store. Everywhere I looked, it was stuff I liked. This is where rustic and gothic come together, almost impossibly, in ways that really work. All of the furniture here sports a sophisticated, high-end, designer look without feeling tacky or pretentious -- a "timeless, subtle elegance" so to speak. Their designers have definitely pushed the envelope a bit with each piece, but show the proper discipline and restraint necessary to avoid making the kind of dreadfully gaudy furniture that you might see on the Real Housewives of New Jersey. This, to me, is furniture that doubles as art. Arhaus is similar to Restoration Hardware in terms of design aesthetics. But as much as I love Restoration Hardware, I simply refuse to pay their exorbitant prices. Arhaus is not cheap by any means, but it is far more affordable than Restoration Hardware. That, coupled with the fact that they had a big sale going on, pretty much made this a win. What really punctuated today's win, though, was the service we received in the store from Tara and her colleagues. I have been to far too many furniture stores that employ failed used car salesmen who follow you around the store incessantly trying to get you to buy. I f***ing hate that and want to start throwing haymakers when it happens. That did not happen here. Tara introduced herself when we entered, at which point we asked to see the buffet. The buffet It was beautiful. My wife then used her powers on me to finagle a new dining room table and set of chairs to go with the buffet. And as much as I said earlier that I hate buying furniture, I could not deny that the ensemble would look beautiful in our house. We host Thanksgiving every year, and my wife works her ass off to make it nice for everyone. So today she got all the things she wanted. Cha-ching. Tara was awesome. Made the process of ordering, paying, and scheduling delivery super easy. With the sale going on, we got a great deal on everything, including 12 months of interest free payments so I didn't have to drop all the coin at once. (Tip: Never take this option if you don't plan on paying it all off before the 12-month period ends or your wallet will be raped for years.) I'm sorry that Majorie F. is having issues with her purchases from here, but I felt comfortable rolling the dice nonetheless. All of the furniture we purchased came with a lifetime warranty. (Fabric covered items like sofas do not come with a lifetime warranty, though, just to be clear.) We'll see what happens after we receive all of our furniture. For once, I'm actually looking forward to finally furnishing a room in the house. I would definitely recommend Arhaus based on my experiences thus far. read more

Drove an hour to get here to see a chair in person before my wife and I purchased online. Met Sales associate Jeffery. He was very helpful and most importantly he didn't hound us or pressure us. No sales pitches. His honesty about pieces we were interested in actually paid off for the store because we wound up buying more expensive pieces. Two days after our purchase the pieces went on sale so I called and was instructed to email Jeffery and when he was back to work he would adjust our purchase price to reflect the sale. The woman on the phone was very nice and couldn't be more willing to help. A few days later we received an email saying we were given sale prices on our order. This had happened to us with pottery barn last year; we're we're not nearly as nice and it took months to get a credit. We will be returning to this store or ordering with jeffery via email or phone in the future. read more

Called customer service and the actual manufacturer themselves. Useless. Lesson learned. Let my mistake be to your benefit. This is a gorgeous " not your ordinary " furniture store. Aesthetically pleasing and well designed. Mid end prices ( I consider mainstream stores like Bobs furniture low end and Resteration hardware high end ) and the quality seems good. We ordered an in stock couch and made to order ottoman and swivel chairs . Couch arrived on schedule , no issues. Now I'm looking forward to our custom pieces arriving in a few weeks. Sales helps was friendly ( Sheila in Freehold,NK) and I even had her come to my home to make sure of the proper fit of what I was ordering. So far, a smooth experience . read more

Over the past few months we made a few purchases from Arhaus. Edie helped us both times, and she was amazing to work with. She worked on floor plan options so we could choose a couch that would best fit our space, and we love it. There was a small issue with the piece when it was delivered, but customer service was excellent and they replaced it right away. Definitely recommend read more

We were so excited to learn about this store. The furniture was very appealing to us and the prices were a bit more reasonable than our favorite Restoration Hardware. We were in search of black coffee and end tables. After visiting five other furniture stores, we found just what we were looking for at Arhaus. The price point was double what we wanted to spend, but decided to just suck it up. The sales lady was very helpful, not pushy. It was the Sunday prior to cyber Monday, so we were nervous they would have lower prices the next day. She told us two things, if prices went down prior to delivery they would adjust and the current sale price was a "red price" and she said it was the lowest it would go and she had never seen lower. Well, the price did go down, but after our delivery and they would NOT adjust. Because we were 50 miles from the store, we had to pay an extra $70 for delivery which didn't make sense. When I said we were less than 50 from the NY store and could just order from there, she said it would still be $200. This made no sense to me, but it wasn't negotiable. They give a four hour window so you pretty much have to work from home or be home for a large part of the day. We received the three pieces and I noticed chipping on the two end tables, but it wasn't substantial enough to not accept. However, later in the evening, in a different light, I noticed a dent in the top of one of the tables. I called the store and was immediately sent to their 800 number. I said as both were technically marred (both were chipped and one was dented) I wanted two new ones. We stayed home on a Saturday and when the two new tables were delivered, one had multiple dents. This is just not acceptable for $500 small end tables. I will call on Monday and hope there will be some type of compensation for having to keep a table that has chips. Our time is valuable and staying home and playing this swapping game is a waste of our time. Will probably not shop from them again and we will just go back to PB and RH. We have several rooms that need furnished and I wish they would have had better constructed quality furniture. The company did refund my delivery charges after I requested for reasons mentioned in this review. read more

I have purchased over $20k in furniture from Arhaus and have liked everything i bought. The sales people were always helpful. I have owned most of this furniture for 3 years and I have started to notice flaws in the finishes on almost every piece of furniture (bubbles in the paint, chipping, etc). Most of this furniture is barely used. I recently went into the store to talk about this. They immediately referred me to an 800#. I called them, they told me to send pictures and now they are just ignoring me and my follow up emails. Until now i was please with Arhaus, but sadly their products aren't made well and their customer service is terrible. I wont be purchasing anything else from them in the future and I will make sure to tell everyone I know (and don't know) not to purchase from them either. read more
