Still, it was The Night Before A Trip and we needed odds and ends and Penneys in-store shopping came through bigly. My mom got a super cute plus size puffer coat - we LOVE when stores carry plus sizes in store. And I got a pair of silver loafers that are show stoppers. $24 versus the $100+ other retailers were charging. And in true anachronistic fashion, my mom also picked up a pair of black tights - plus size at that. Kind of incredible honestly. I'm not mad at it. The employees were super nice, too.

When I called corporate, they told me that the $20 membership automatically renews every 6 months and not every year, like Nate had told me. I also felt like I was pressured into buying the upgraded membership during my second visit, which I found out later was $60. If there was more transparency about the membership price and other relevant information, my star rating would have been higher. This isn't good business practice. Also, if Nate had just apologized to me for his mistake instead of just stating facts without remorse after I gently confronted him or anytime during that visit, he would have gotten a better review. It takes a person of "great" character and integrity to tell the truth and own up to things and apologize if there was any wrongdoing. After this experience, I'll be buying my ASICS sneakers at the ASICS outlet in Jersey Shore Premium Outlets and the ASICS website. Update: They told me that my membership fee was going to be refunded. They still haven't issued my refund and it has been 5 days. I called them and they told me that my account number wasn't able to be found, but they are able to locate how much I paid and how I paid that day in the Shrewsbury location. The associate said she would escalate it to management and they would call me. A few phone calls later, they told me they found my account and confirmed finance had issued my refund yesterday and I'll be getting my refund 3-5 business days from June 18. Getting a refund issued shouldn't have to be complicated. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GREEDY COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING SCREWED OVER!!! Also, if you are desperate to tell people to write a yelp review about you, the associate is love bombing you on the sales floor, and it's difficult to get a refund issued back to you, red flags should be going off.
