Its been 2 weekly visits when I noticed once again no wipes in the children's play area. In a recent post, management indicated they would be more observant and since they have not, I went to the office to request wipes. The representative indicated she would notify housekeeping and in about 30 minutes wipes were replaced. I would urge management to pay more attention to this high risk area with so many small children and their parents. It's the parents who are spending money at the mall so please be more respectful. read more

Despite its size, this mall is a bit underwhelming. Not much to brag about, but it is nice for a leisurely stroll and some shopping if any of the stores catch your eye. There is ample parking available and an array of options at the food court. read more

Freehold Raceway Mall is the only location has electric america charging stations around, so this mall has become our go-to place regularly! But the total four charging stands are far from the mall entrance, so be prepared for a 7-10min walk, away and returning to your EV car. It's a cute mall that has middle tier shops and Starbucks. However the only restrooms seem to locate at the food court. No mall free WiFi. read more

I like this mall. It offers a wide variety of stores and restaurants. Stores vary in prices, it's a good mix.

I love how Macys has brought itself back to the old Macys instead of the rummage sale look that they had for a while. HOWEVER,,,the music in that store is HORRIBLE!! It's pop music, but so LOUD!!!! You can't get away from it because it's piped throughout the store. I don't spend too much time in there because I can't stand the music. It's too bad because I would definitely shop there more often if the music was toned down. read more

This is a review for luminocity right outside the mall. This event is beautiful! It is $31 per person, however once you're in you can stay as long as you want (just can't re-enter). I purchased a zero gravity facial device from Predire Paris at the Below Zero store located in the Freehold Raceway Mall. I was not informed of their no return policy. I tried to return the unopened device on the next dat with the receipt and was informed of the Manager's no return policy. The Manager, Leo used the device with the red light therapy on my face in the store and when I got home I had a rash on my face. I informed the store Manager Leo. He would not take the device back and told me to write to the headquarters at predirenewjersey@gmail.com. I did send an email. I was informed that each individual store made their own policy about returns. I found out the company is located in Tampa FL and that they try to represent themselves as a Parisean company. The BBB reported that they have several complaints about this company. This company is a fraud. I would suggest not to buy any product from this store as they are dishonest. read more

Love the amount of restaurants around - like PF changs . They also have a good food court inside the mall. Lots and lots of shops . Crowded on weekends ! Opened in 1990 as a sprawling punctuation to the high water mark of 1980s mall culture, the Freehold Mall is a time capsule to an era where hours could be incinerated wandering aimlessly waiting for that Panda Express carbo load to finally force you back into the Chevy Lumina and that return to your quarter acre suburbo homestead for a nap. Sure the anchors have changed in multiples as Sears evaporated before Nordstrom and Jeans Country surrendered without a shot to Old Navy but the hub and spoke deficit spending habitrail configuration remains intact requiring a frequent pitstop at the "you are here" navigational kiosks. It's absolutely pointless to tell anyone to meet you at the nondescript Aldo or Aerie since I have no idea what those stores are. Maybe I'll just have them follow the vapor trail to Perfumania. Stores change so often and the layout is so disorienting that it feels almost casino-like in the absence of night versus day. Every once in awhile I check in just to take the temperature of brick and mortar commerce but honestly, it's never been the same since Swiss Colony and Spencer Gifts took a powder. And, shopping is even more magical when you can bring your dog! Freehold Raceway Mall is dog friendly as long as your dog is in a carrier or cart (individual retailers may vary)! We've had a stroller for Brie for over a year and this was the first time we used it. We were so happy to walk around INSIDE with Brie in tow and browse the stores, see the holiday displays, take a photo in the Marvel photo booth, and also eat rolled ice cream at Rolling Meadows (they have vegan options)! Visiting the mall is great for when the weather is not cooperating to your liking! Once I finally found it, I liked this mall a lot more than other malls. It is architecturally wife and spaced out. They have a lot of restaurants and stores but even if you're not in the market for anything specific, it's fun to just peruse. They have a Lord and Taylor which was stocked with things we needed. They also have a bridal store with lots of Mother of the Bride/Groom dresses and accessories. I had the most success in Forever 21 which had some great deals the day I went. They also had photos with Santa because t was Christmastime. Photos with Santa were $40 for 6 pictures and $50 for 10. I felt like that was a little high. They have benches, tables and chairs if you're walking around and need a break, which I did. read more

This once proud mall has not had the best of luck in recent times. Prior to the coronavirus and pandemic, this mall has lost an anchor store, Sears. The proposed Round1 Bowling & Amusement was rejected by the Freehold Township Planning Board to replace the space Sears had vacated. Most recently, it has been reported on July 6, 2020, the local news stated Freehold Raceway Mall has had a second bomb threat. The first one was announced on July 3, 2020. Thankfully this again proved to not be true. In other news about this mall, Freehold Raceway Mall already filed Chapter 11 and as of writing this review, Nordstrum has closed its doors permanently at this location, as well. After this mall reopened its door, I visited a store for a quick pickup after I phoned in an order. As I went in, I found the mall had hand sanitizers every few yards away from each other for us to use. Most were found at the entrances and exits and the most popular retailers. Arrows on the floor were plastered on the floor to help maintain a direction of the flow to help avoid people going in opposite directions and maintain the social distancing. Signs were posted everywhere reminding patrons to have the 6' social distance rule. Unfortunately, not everyone followed the social distance rule or wore their face masks correctly. Below the chin doesn't cut it. Slowly some of the most popular stores such as Victoria Secrets, Apple Store, Ulta and Sephora have reopened. Eateries and smaller food and drink stands, are currently offering curbside pickup. The one store I was surprised to see was still closed was Starbucks. This Starbucks stands at the heart of the first floor mall. The emptiness of this makes me question if it's a foreshadowing of what this mall will become. Oh these are indeed interesting times and I am truly hoping this mall survives the pandemic. In safer times, it is the ideal meeting place to meet up with friends for walking and shopping or even sharing a meal together. read more

Solid shopping mall experience Plenty of parking, excellent variety of stores Recently management has added comfortable chairs and tables throughout the mall equipped with usb and power outlets for those of us who cannot put down their phones. Macy's, Nordstrom and JC Penney are the anchors. The food court is adequate with Nathan's, Wendy's and chicfila. Security is present and easy to find. Maps are scattered thru the mall to provide directions. Outside the mall offers the Cheesecake Factory, Bobby's burger palace, brio and pf Chang. Dicks sporting goods, Home Depot, Christmas tree shops and the movie theater round out the immediate area. A full day of shopping can certainly be accommodated. read more

My favorite shopping mall hands down. It's not a high-end mall like Menlo Park, but rather, a near-high-end, more personable shopping mall! Its upscale ambiance makes it a pleasure to just take a stroll and window shop. It's also a great place for people watching as its rather affluent clientele constantly makes fashion statements. And in case you didn't know, this is NJ's 2nd largest shopping mall (though may soon to be surpassed by another mall in 2018). It has a great mix of stores. Primark and H&M offers trendy but super affordable clothing. Michael Kors and Nordstrom are examples for luxury. Adidas and L.L. Bean are some surprise sighting normally found at outlet malls. Rather uniquely, the mall has managed to provide a few stores to amass gigantic footprints: Forever 21, H&M, Ulta, and most recently, Zara. And many other worth mentioning: LEGO, Sur la table, Microsoft, and Apple. Even Amazon has recently set up a kiosk!!! The outdoor lifestyle annex features trendy restaurants (Cheesecake Factory, Brio Tuscan Grill, P.F. Chang) making it an alluring magnet for night life. The only drawback is the Rt.9 approach is often congested, but that's totally expected. Oh, I didn't know it until I looked up: Freehold Raceway Mall was listed as the 3rd most congested mall in US on Black Friday back in 2011 ! read more

Great mall until they decided to add cameras at every entrance that scan your plate and run them against a database. This was all done under the guise of homeland security. What they are really used for is to ticket anyone with an expired registration immediately after you park. Freehold must be making a killing at this place. Great mall if you go make sure your registration is all good. Mine lapsed, without notice from the DMV and I was pulled over immediately. read more

This mall has plenty of natural light beaming through. Ppl are nice and they have tons of stores to purchase from. One of the busiest stores was a place called Primark. They had a bunch of cool clothings, got some awesome tees too. Place was packed and ppl were just buying things in abundance as prices were low. read more

The mall itself is awesome. My husband and i go frequently. But this last time we went we came across a new store in there called OTAKU HOUSE (anime store). The items inside are pretty dope so my husband asked the price for the hoodies. He was quoted $45 (not bad ! He got 2) then once he was going to check out they threw in a deal. "Buy 2 hoodies get 2 SHIRTS FREE WITH ANY DESIGN". Good deal right ?! So he picks the shirts and pics the prints then once everything is ironed on the guy (bigger dude with light eyes) tells us "you have to pay for the prints so the new total is xxx (hit the $100+)" At this point we look at each other like Um ? You said this was free. Otherwise we were done and ready to checkout. He noticed the frustration and the questioning start to set in so he quickly throws in "next time you come back you get 50% off" I'm sorry but no. This is just a warning to others that they clearly make their own prices which is fine I guess but pay attention to wording they use. They're lucky we aren't a**holes and walked out with nothing after putting in the time to make those shirts. read more

Excellent mall! They have a nice variety of clothing stores, specialty shops, department stores and restaurants. Weekends and holidays can get really crowded. They have plenty of parking though. This mall is a Simon mall and it's seems like they are adding nice stores! My wife and kids like going to the kids club program that occurs first Saturday of the month. The kids club provides arts and craft activities , complementary snacks and occasionally breakfast, and free giveaways at the end the session. Also, kids and parents can ride the Carosel for free during the kids club. It's sponsored by 94.3 The Point radio station and occasionally other sponsors like IPlay and Goddard school. The last one we went to was in December and the theme was winter and my kids were making snow hats, igloos, playing with fake snow, had hot chocolate, etc. Afterwards we usually eat at Brio or at the food court. My kids like Chick Fil-A. It's the closest one in the area. There's something for everyone at the food court . Then, we go to the Starbucks and work off lunch by shopping and scoring some good deals at Gap, Old Navy or Primark. This mall is great for families. read more

I live in Point Beach, so the closest mall is technically Ocean County. I only go there if I'm going to one or two stores and know what I need to purchase. Otherwise I come to the Freehold mall! There are so many store options, and the food court is huge as well. The mall itself has numerous lounge areas with USB ports to charge all your electronics. Great variety of stores here for me such as Francesca, bath and body works, Macy's, uniqlo, Old Navy, LL Bean, etc. There's a carousel by food court and good selections of food court menu from taco, Nathan's, Panda Express, Chick Fil A, etc. This mall is one of the few places that still sells Mrs. Fields and I pray that they don't ever close down like many other mall I've been to. My favorite spot to dine here is The Cheesecake Factory, where on nice summer nights you can choose to be seated outdoors. There's private family bathroom stalls for those with small kids. Parking spaces may be a bit of challenge for certain days especially on weekends and during the holidays. I suggest coming here early or during the weekdays to avoid all traffic. Overall, this mall is not a big mall but for the size that it is, there are some good stores. It's perfect for you especially if you know exactly what item(s) you're trying to purchase. read more

Out of the 3 malls closest to my home, I'll choose Freehold 9xs outta 10. It's the cleanest, the most updated, and offers the most shopping choices out of all of them. The outside grounds make for a pleasant atmosphere as well. The parking though is horrendous. Unless you want to park in the next town over (exaggerating but that's what it feels like), make sure you get there at opening time so you won't have to walk too far. I've also noticed that the element of this mall has....changed within the past 2 years. Trying to be pc here, but I have to admit this place has started to attract some shady characters. I feel the safest at this mall versus any of the other ones I visit. read more

This mall has quite a bit of unique shops that I haven't seen - Tillys, Marbles, Epic and Garage to name a few. Maybe because I'm used to north Jersey malls? None of them are particularly appealing though. One thing that is nice about this mall is the location of the food court which is a decent size. There is also plenty of places to sit, take a break or wait while the one you're with goes into a store you have zero interest in. With the surrounding stores aside it seems like the run of the mill mall, maybe pushing a bit for upscale status - the cars advertised and parked in the mall are jaguar, Porsche and Land Rover - no Honda or buicks here. It has the flagship stores like Macy's, Sears and JC penney that you see at other malls but nothing else that makes it stand out to me. read more

This place is textbook for why malls are becoming extinct! I went on 12/8 at 11 am to beat the holiday crush. My intention was to make a purchase at Sleep Number store and then continue inside to do some holiday shopping indoors. Okay I get the valet parking scam of 10 bucks but now they charge for parking near the Carousel entrance, while on the other side valet parking takes up a section of the lot. At 11 am I had to park in Dicks parking lot. Hey thanks but no thanks it's 20 degrees and there is nothing here worth this inconvenience. Sorry but I will shop where it's convenient for me not a parking money grab . read more

I enjoy this mall. Nothing bad to say. The anchor stores are standard and the parking is crowded on some days but ya know-- plan. The movie theatre attached has those lounge couch chair seat things and its now the only reason I go to a movie-- comfort. I enjoy the restaurants that are outside the mall and the food court inside is clean, no sticky tables or floors- the atrium area can get steamy hot in the summer- but its glass--- pick where you want to be comfortable. Lots of local kids come here on Fridays nights after school to hang out eat at the food court and just be kids- We see lots of parents as well- so no banshees.. Hubby and I have never seen any fights, rough crass kids or issue with the mall cops- most of the kids "across the board" are well behaved in fact - one Friday night - the food court was packed - Hubby and I just got our food and were looking for a table-- some kids said you can sit here and gave us their table! whut?! applause to those parents your children are a reflection of your good parenting. Anyway- Freehold is nice mall that has lots to offer. read more

I like the fact that there is a Primark and a over sized Ulta . The mall is clean and the shopping experience would actually depend on the shopper and their shopping needs. The mall has a few hidden gems to help the teenage girl get prom ready as well as sneaker stores to satisfy the needs of the average sneaker head. The mall is great considering the area. however it leaves much to be desired since the Garden state is known for its oversized malls. Jersey malls do it better, don't they? This one, like Menlo Park Mall are successful. Sure, it's the same old stuff in a different location, but somehow, they continue to succeed. I'm not a shoe shopper, so Nordstrom's typical 15 shoe departments don't hold any attraction for me. (I remember their propaganda!) Lord & Taylor and Macy's have good stuff, and so does Dick's Sporting Goods. It's been forever since I've been to this mall but as Philly's malls slip, Jersey's malls should be getting more business. This one also has an Apple store, which might bring in additional, unrelated traffic that might be headed to Target up the road. I struggled to find the mall, though. I guess I've been gone too long. Like Menlo Park Mall, it's hidden from the road, but hidden much better. The old sign seems almost invisible. The food court didn't seem all that great, so if I was working in the area, it wouldn't be a draw. How much Asian Cajun and fake Japanese food can you have? I hope they can continue to be a successful mall. read more

Freehold Raceway Mall is my favorite mall in Monmouth County. Actually, I'd have to say that it's my favorite mall if you're picking a mall between Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean Counties. I love that it has a mix of pricey and decent priced stores to shop at. The food court has plenty of options to choose from. They recently added a Chick Fil-A to the food court so that's a plus in my book. If you'd rather sit down at a restaurant and eat, there's the Cheesecake Factory, Brio Tuscan Grille, PF Chang's, and Ruby Tuesday. I love going to this mall when the weather is nice and walking around the outdoor promenade area. In the summertime, they even have performances out there. There's a movie theater but it's not attached to the actual mall. It has it's own area and parking lot which I like because you don't have to deal with the usual crowding that you find at other malls when there is too much going on in one place. I can't think of anything that I don't like about this mall. read more
