Great store! Although the store itself is small, if you want to get fitted for the right pair of sneakers I would recommend coming here. I am basing this review on the great customer service and running guidance. My husband and I went to look for new running sneakers for my husband. The great staff member, Dean, helped my husband pick out sneakers with slightly more stability due to some arch issues. Dean watched my husband walk to make sure he recommended the right type of sneaker. My husband was instructed to even jog outside (store is located in strip mall) to make sure the sneakers felt great. I myself got a pair of compression socks. We had a coupon from a ValuPak, so keep an eye out in the mail: 20% off clothing, 15% off sneakers. Also note: the store does carry gps running watches (e.g. Garmin 220), socks, accessories, and clothing. read more

Went to runners high today and was impressed. Dean helped me. He has over 25 years of experience as a coach, and runner. He is very knowledgeable. At runners high they are not trying to sell you the most expensive pair of running shoe. They are trying to match you with the best shoe for you. Dean gave me 4 pair of shoes to try. I went to the Runner's High at the recommendation of Max Fitness. I was having foot and leg pain during my workouts. Very friendly and helpful store. I'm not a big runner but I wanted to get a pair of running shoes for when the feeling hits me. Craig listened to my needs, asked questions, evaluated my gait and then suggested several options. He patiently worked with me as I tried on the various shoes and he explained the features and differences of each. The store had a large variety of shoes and in colors that I requested. I want to give the highest recommendation for Runner's High in Freehold N.J., to Craig and his team. I struggle with peripheral neuropathy in both feet, shins, calves. Shoes and socks are a daily challenge. Craig has supported me in every possible way, by making certain, that I wear the best shoes for my personal situation. Can't say enough good things about this place. If you want quality customer service, go here. Passionate, knowledgeable, and well priced. I went in for a second pair of shoes recently, and the store size had been expanded, looked nice. Given my last positive experience a while back, I trusted him to recommend a pair of shoes. He checked out my feet/how I walked and then came back with a pair. They fit awesome and he told me I could go run on the sidewalk a bit to make sure so I did that. I was already sold, but he said to try on another pair or two just to be sure anyway. So I tried on another couple pair, but he hit it perfect on the first try. I've been running in the first pair of shoes he recommended now for a few weeks and what a difference. Like night and day. Can't stress that enough. It made the run so much better on my feet. I checked the price of the shoe he gave me online, and I also couldn't really find it much cheaper anywhere else that I looked, to my surprise. I would have been willing to pay a little extra to support the independently owned place. Anything I remotely need to buy in regards to running I plan to buy here, out of sheer principle. What a great store! The staff is amazing. Extremely helpful and accommodating. They will help you find the right product for you, not just what is popular or the highest priced. They are also personable and engaging, which I think is one of the best qualities in a specialty store. No matter your age or ability, you feel welcome.
