Nice Mall I have been to on our trip to Jersey. My girl partially grew up in this area, so this past summer we hung out at one of her favorite malls lol. I am not too much of a mall guy, but fellas, we have to go to the mall for our ladies and all and help them shop. You have Macys, Starbucks, Zells, and many other worldwide stores here. BUt, we also shopped at places we do not have back home in California. Tons of restaurants here. Nice outdoor activities too for children and families. I love it so far. read more

this is my childhood mall, i have many fond memories of it and have zero bad things to say overall. more specifically, however, i was helped by gabby when i visited the gamestop at the ocean county mall and she was awesome! i came in to trade in my playstation 4 and upgrade to the PS5. gabby was super informative as to what i would need to bring with me in order to be eligible for trade-in, and also went over all options and details to help me make a decision based on my gaming preferences as to which version of the 5 would be best fit for me. with a year warranty on the new console and a quick upgrade to the gamestop premium membership, i spent about $350 altogether and i'd call that a win when it comes to buying a newest generation console! read more

This is an average mall. They need healthier snack and food choices and some more up to date shops. It's a good place to walk around while looking for a gift. But compared to menlo mall, it falls short in variety of stores and food court choices. read more

I'm not the biggest shopper, but even I can say this isn't the best mall. Monmouth and Freehold Raceway malls puts this one to shame. Why they haven't done much to change it in the past 10 years is beyond me. I agree with the others that the food court is small and gives you no options. Don't eat at the food court. At least there are food options spread throughout the mall like Ichiban, Applebee's, Auntie Anne's, Rita's, and Cinnabon for a decent variety as well as a Bahama Breeze a drive away, but in the same plaza (it's isolated I believe). If they start adding trendy stores and improving the infrastructure, maybe just maybe this mall will survive? read more

After the mini-van drop off, along with a gang of gal pals, she roamed through the mall, drank sodas, ate pretzels and bought nothing. Spencers was the cool place to be. Everyone got their ears pierced at the Piercing Pagoda and we giggled every time we passed Victoria's Secret. Macy's was the 'expensive department store." It's nothing fancy, the good ol' Ocean County Mall, but the nostalgia is worth the four-star rating. Every year when I come home to visit my family for Christmas, my sister and I take a ritual trip to the mall on Christmas Eve to finish our last minute shopping before we go to church. Today on a long car ride, my wife needed to stop the vehicle and rest. We go to the spacious parking lot of the ocean county mall. Upon entry, the surrounding road was bumpier than we'd normally like with a nice parking lot. The crack roadway and pavement extended into the parking areas for most of the lot. However, the atmosphere was fantastic. The outer area was very open, there was plenty of of spaces for us to park and nobody around to bother us while we sat on our phones yelling about the day's events. For this reason, I highly recommend Ocean County Mall's parking lot for anyone interested in a quiet rest period in their vehicle. read more

I grew up in the area and the quality of the mall has gone down. It used to be packed! Now Sears is leaving and Macy's closes at 8pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays. The area doesn't have the greatest business climate and it's starting to show. The food court has about 4 options. Holy Guacamole is probably your best bet in terms of health. During the weekdays the mall is practically dead. I think the mall needs some more "hip" stores such as Lush, Apple and maybe a few more restaurants. The area is losing a lot of business, and if Simon(the mall company) doesn't act fast, they'll be closing down the whole mall in less than 5 years. This is their time to act and implement changes going forward. It's small and easy to navigate for some quick shopping but they need to strategize their next move. Also, the mall food court is literally useless to those who have gluten allergies. There is literally no point for someone with gluten issues to go there. read more

It's OK. I went to the Ocean County Mall for new glasses from the Lenscrafters there. Plenty of parking. The Sears has closed. It's a small mall and easily walkable. The anchor stores now are Macy's, JC Penny and Boscovs. The food court is tiny. There are a couple of full service restaurants and a Starbucks. There is wifi in the mall but it's so slow its unusable. There are plenty of seats in areas for shoppers to sit and a few cell phone charging stations. Overall it is not bad, but if I wanted to make a day out of it I'd go to Freehold or Monmouth Mall. read more

Whoa, time for a new update to replace my old, one-lined review (I wasn't very "active" at the time when posted). Another star will be given as well. Sometimes when I'm visiting relatives in the area, we come down here just to relax, walk, and look around. Finding a parking spot here wasn't an issue at all. It was quite clear that this mall has been around for a long time, especially since the exterior of the building was really out-dated. We usually end up parking by Boscov's, since it's one of my relative's favorite department store to look and shop around at. Entering the mall itself from Boscov's was no issue at all. The mall itself has only one floor, but the anchor stores have more. When I walked out of Boscov's, I ended up seeing the food court. It's small and doesn't have a lot of choices. Then we resumed walking around to see what this mall had. Lots of stores were lined up on both sides of the mall. As far as selections were concerned, it was almost no different than the ones that you would find in other malls. Some of the stores seemed to be a bit smaller than the other ones in the area and up North. The interior of the mall itself looked all right, and even though there was only one floor, it was still big enough to kill some time by simply walking around. Overall, this mall is just all right. It's not the biggest mall around, but you can definitely kill some time walking around and seeing if they have anything that may appeal to you. read more

Its the only Mall in Tom's River and its never really busy. The mall has been upgraded with a food court which is great. It constantly changes smaller stores as a year ago it had multiple smartphone repair stores now just a few. It has the large anchor stores and a variety of others including a great massage place towards the rear. Easy parking and lots of restaurants inside and outside. It no longer has a person staffing the counter so you have to find security to get a wheelchair as we did. But no issue otherwise. read more

I love Ocean County Mall. When I think of my childhood, I think of this mall. They have a majority of stores as most of the major malls anyways, now-a-days, to the people who claim they "have nothing-" they have mostly, if not, everything that those bigger Freehold and Monmouth Mall have, other than food options, their stores are very similar and to be honest, Ocean County has the best selection within their stores than the others do, anyways. I am a much bigger fan of the Macy's in OCM and their variety, along with stores like Victoria's Secret's PINK, American Eagle, etc. read more

I haven't been to Ocean County Mall in over 5 years - it used to be lame, ugly and from where we lived in Brick, it was worth driving the extra 20 minutes up to Monmouth Mall - well I was very surprised today when I went with my girlfriend and daughter - the mall is completely different - same layout (duh) but new floors, modern and sleek looking and very very clean - it's actually cleaner and nicer than Monmouth Mall, just with (a lot) less stores. The play area for the kids is awesome - love it and my (18 month old) daughter had a blast playing. This will be my go-to place on rainy today to get out of the house. YAY, i'm a fan! ;) read more

For people who have lived in this area for most of their lives, Ocean County Mall is the quick fix mall. If you need something fast, ie. a dress for a wedding when your planned dress zipper breaks, I run to the mall, 15 mins from my house, and usually can find something. It does have a food court, with mall like stands, the usual. It's small and it's great to run through when you know what your looking for. For a day of shopping, I would suggest another mall, such as maybe the Freehold Mall, or Monmouth Mall. read more

I think they should open more restaurants inside the Mall, cheesecake factory, Dunkin donuts, Applebees is getting boring same stuff, like to have a place to eat Breakfast for a change, Starbucks is sooo small and nowhere to relax and eat breakfast. Thank you. read more

The most boring and uninteresting mall you will ever go to. Its all one floor so unless your fat you can walk the whole mall in 15 mins. Stores are changing like you change your underwear. Stores are placed in the most random spots. Want to eat burger king? You would head to the food court right? Wrong its completly on the opposite side of the mall next to sears.... Oh and the dollar store. Its called dollar store. Except almost next to nothing is a dollar... highlights of this mall are fye gamestop spencers and adrenaline. Everything else can be found at any other mall and better in fact. Only come to get what you need and get the hell out. read more

i have been to better and worse. They have done a lot of changes to the mall over the years for the better which is a plus. As far as the stores go... they have the tyical store that any mall would have. Fully equipped with a Macy's, JC Penny, Star Bucks, Lids, Old Navy, GAP... what ever else you see at other malls, yeah its there. Its pretty small but will get the job done. Food Court is alright and the parking isnt too bad either, you wont be walking 10miles form your car to get to the building. There are also a few food spots other than the Foo court in here which is cool and recently erected a mexican food spot next to Benihana and Applebees i think. Over all, its a mall... dont get over excited but you wont be disappointment. read more

While Ocean County Mall isn't terrible, it isn't in the same league as any other mall in the area (Not county Burlington County Mall, which is a dead mall at this point and shouldn't be counted.) It's perfect for those who need to buy something quick, but this isn't the place to go if you enjoying shopping as a hobby. read more

Big footprint but only one level. Very dated on the outside. Inside is the standard collection pf mall shops, nothing out of the ordinary. Small food court. There are moany restaurants in the immediate area so you aren't limited to what's i here. read more

I too agree about the nostalgia with this mall. As a teen we would get dropped off and walk around for hours, looking in Sam Goody (haha remember that) and wishing we could shop in Macy's but that was only when you were with your mom because she has the cash. That being said, nowadays, all the stores in this mall are dumps. It's like ocean county gets the leftovers from other malls. I never find anything for myself and Macy's looks the same way it did 20 years ago. The "new" stores are nothing but junk shops with cheap stuff. The mall needs a face lift and some updating for sure, however I would be happy with a decent store to shop in! read more

Ok, so maybe Im bias because I grew up looking forward to trips to this mall, however I love Ocean County Mall. Everyone wants to complain about the size and compare it to Freehold or Monmouth mall, but I think the size is perfect. This mall has everything you could ever need as far as big named stores, it also has a few small store, and kiosks.The food court is small but there is a hibachi place and apple bees connected on the other side of this mall. OCM is perfect to run in get what you need and get out. There is always a decent parking spot available and the mall is always very clean. read more

So after our fill at Applebee's, we decided to walk around the mall & see what they had to offer.It's all one floor, JcPenney's one side, Sear's, & Macy's. Kinda like old Burlington center Mall, just one step better. It has a Build a bear, Coach, so seems like it wants to get better, but then it falls short in other stores. Not much to offer. If I lived close by, I would just run in , get what I need , run out. This mall is small, not much to offer. It' Ehhhh. Go back.??.no- won't be unless needed something. read more

Ordered TWO Misto (x2) Tall drinks after looking up this particular location via STARBUCKS Locator online as I was a first time visitor to Toms River, NJ (Ocean County). This store was 11 miles nearest to the location where I was. Would visit store again albeit there was not enough seating capacity in the store itself (bar stools only) within the mall. However, both lighting and ambiance along with over all cleanliness were exceptional. read more

WHATEVER you do avoid this place on a Friday night. It's painful to inhale the smoke of 12-19 year old's cigarettes and for a run-down mall with limited stores, it's worth it to take the drive to the freehold mall instead. I understand that most malls are packed with teenagers and kids on a weekend, but this place has a typically dingy vibe and I only venture out into this mall if I really need something and can't make it to another. read more

I usually come down to this mall every weekend to just shop around and look for little things. I so happened to come across a store named icing. I was looking around and when it came time to check out I noticed that I couldn't buy anything so I decided to leave. The staff was very rude and impolite. I am profoundly disgusted by this Macy's store's management. Right before Christmas I had an "above-and-beyond" employee named Stephanie help me select a number of purses for my mother and sisters. Extremely knowledgeable about the quality of the products as well as the style associated with them. Also super charming to boot--every employee and shopper that she interacted with during my encounter with her was left with a huge smile and usually laughing too. The bags were such a sensational hit at Christmas, that I returned today to purchase an item related to one of them and also to profusely thank Stephanie for her help. I was outraged to learn that she no longer works there, and that she had likely been fired. If this is true, Macy's Ocean County has just many huge customers, as I just spent several thousand dollars there before Christmas, and my work associates and I frequently spend an extraordinary amount of money there on suits and such. I am beyond disgusted with the management here if this is the case, as Stephanie appears to be not only an incredible asset to the store's profitability, but also an affable, smart, honest, hardworking woman. I can not say enough good things about the way I was treated by this employee, and therefore to know that Macy's terminated her baffles and disgusts me. Why would Macy's decimate their customer service like this so quickly and so strongly? I've never been so appalled by a retail store in my life. Will not be returning ever again to any branch. read more
