Thinking I had not heard her clearly I repeated ~ asking about a sale is JUST RUDE, and she responded Yes, it's JUST RUDE. I placed the item back and left. I've already purchased the exact item a few dollars cheaper in a more customer friendly environment. This was an unfortunate experience in an otherwise customer friendly town.

Our grandkids worked doing shores and saved enough to get what they want on top of the spending money we give them for their vacations. We teach them value and respect. I could have stayed and confronted the lady, instead I walked away and by doing it, we were the biggest people and I tough them a lesson of respecting themselves and not allowing nobody to disrespect them and mistreat them because of their race. We stopped in during THE PANDEMIC on a quiet weekday. I immediately fell in love with some of the framed photography, but like many others, during these difficult times, I'm on a budget, so that was a hard no to spending $150 on art right now. Luckily, when we wandered upstairs, we found less expensive prints of the images so we could frame it ourselves. SOLD. Staff were friendly. And bonus, even through my mask, it smelled so lovely inside.

She pulled everything in my size for me to try on. (Donna normally works at their main store Tuesdays and Thursdays I believe) I found a few pieces I liked and was able to score them during their first ever off-season sale (1 Piece-50%, 2 pieces-60%, and 3 or more 70% off!) Note: this is not a discount store but they ran a sale this weekend to make room for this summers collection! Ted, the owner of the store, rang me out and was extremely cordial and personable. I had an amazing experience here and I would highly recommend visiting if you are a Lilly lover in the area! There is a whole carousel full of furniture knobs. Tess Home stocks an alternative to Annie Sloan Chalk Paints (Fat Paint, which has an awesome color called "Parchment") and wax (Fiddes brand). I love the Fiddes wax that I purchased from her. It is so much easier to use than the AS brand. Tess, if that indeed was Tess, (I did not inquire), spent time showing me some of the chalk painting techniques that she uses. Offered advice freely and in a very friendly manner. She encouraged me to take pictures, unlike the proprietor of the less friendly shop right down the street. Definitely go visit this shop! Truly adorable!

My mom and grandma would bring me here when I was little when they first opened back in 2005. The prices have skyrocketed and I fear they have steered away from the "local business" culture and prices. Now it feels like I'm shopping at an expensive department store. The prices are not reflective of the quality. The jewelry isn't as good as it used to be as the $14-$16 sterling silver earrings begin to tarnish after a month of wear. Many of my pieces I own have become stretched out and pilled after only a few wears (even with gentle washing/cleaning). Some of the pieces being the EXACT SAME BRANDS that are sold at Island Gypsy in Lavalette but being more affordable there. Today I went for the first time in a long time as I had a gift card and wanted to give them another shot as I so badly want to love sunshine again. But when I went to pay the girls said there wasn't enough money on my unused gift card saying there was only $13 of the $25...do not think it was malicious or intentional but I think there was a mix up due to them reusing gift cards. If you're charging this much for your products, why can't you afford to buy new gift cards or have a better system? The girls kind of just looked at me and shrugged like "sorry". After today, it makes me so sad as a local of point pleasant boro that a store I once loved for the quality and price has now become a hub specifically geared towards wealthy tourists.
