Bigger isn't always better. I don't feel like it's that super to be honest. Yeah its gigantic, that just means I have to walk twice as far to see the exact same thing in a normal target. That sounds lazy so hear me out, I'm not saying that walking is an inconvenience to me, I just hardly think it's size makes it super. We have groceries in our plain old target and I didn't see any new products exclusive to its super big sister. I love target, and unlike the other reviews, nothing I needed was out of stock. I bought snack bars from this target on 3/30/2017. When I got back to my office I began to eat one and the taste was something horrible. I look at the package and the expiration date was 12/15/2016. I took it back and they said they would let someone know and gave me a refund. Today I went there shopping and was checking expiration dates on the things I purchased, however, I found kraft mayo that expire 3/31/2017, Quakers breakfast flat that will be expire on 4/25/17, and cheese that had molded in cheese isle. I did let some one know and was told the same story that they will let someone know. I was very disappointed and now feel I need to check the date on everything I buy now. read more

This is the best Target if you like being charged a higher price than what is listed, and then having to be inconvenienced by it. Very often here, my trips result in me having to return to the aisle to take a photo of the advertised price so the checker can update the charge. Usually it's a quick fix. Today, after waiting 5 minutes for a manager or someone with authority to update the price (the first woman couldn't do it because it was a "high-priced item." It was a $31.49 item that rang up as $34.99), I showed the photo (that I myself went back to take) of the actual sticker. She said, "and that was here?" I'm not going out of my way to lie and save $3.50. Then, she said she had to physically go check the price herself. I don't understand why this happens so often at this store... read more

I had been a pretty loyal Wal-Mart customer (prior to moving to Chicagoland) for years and was going to the one in Forest Park until shopping there became a f'ing nightmare. One day I had decided to drive out a little farther out to Target, and I've never been back to Wal-Mart since. I mean WOW! Talk about a stress-free shopping experience. I get there and easily find a parking spot, buy my coffee, and stroll throughout the store without having to go start binge drinking immediately after I checkout. They have a GREAT selection of EVERYTHING and the people are nice - both shoppers and employees! I do have to pay a LITTLE more and have to drive a LITTLE farther, but it's totally worth it. read more

So glad a closer Target opened up in Hillside! I'm here at least 3x a week. I always tend to forget or run out of something each day. The best thing I like is the Pharmacy, I switched from having so many problems with Walgreens. NEVER had a problem with Target. They are so nice and always efficient. The only thing I wish was better was the grocery, I know it's small but since it's so close to home; I rather get all my shopping done there while I buy household stuff too like my hair supplies, dog and cat food. I used to go to Wal-mart for all this, but find myself there less and less due to convenience. However, the prices are pretty close with both. But, I have to go to the bigger grocery stores to get the bulk of my shopping done. The produce is not as fresh or large. I would rather buy elsewhere. Some of my fav is the lunch meat deli, blueberry bagels, frozen veggies, and lunch packets ( although a bit over-priced). Don't forget to sign up for your red card, you save 10%. The rewards aren't that great though. The Cons: The parking sucks, they waste so much space with all these handicap spaces. Also, they never seem to have enough cashiers or check-out lines open. The cleaning solution area was highly stocked. But this location is a little bit like Walmart with the lack of cashiers when one wants to check out. For a super target it should have more self check out lines if it does not want to pay for cashiers. Plus the baskets were gross, so were the carts. read more

Yay Super Target!! I found you!!!!!!!!! My boyfriend and I drove here during a weekday just for kicks and me likey... we weren't planning on buying a whole lot but my bf soon changed his mind and we got a cart cuz a lot of the stuff was a lot cheaper than what we'd usually find in the city, like say- jewel. I also ended up filling a prescription here while we were there and they were really fast and very friendly as well as being helpful taking the time to emphasis to me that I should not be driving while taking these particular pain killers. This one isn't as great as another Super Target I know.. I think it's the lay out or it seems like they have less stuff. It didn't seem that far from the city so I'd come again sometime in the future. There should be more Super Targets.. grocery shopping at one is way more fun. Super Target combines a standard target with a mediocre grocery store so you basically can live your entire life in Target if you want to.

I have visited the CVS pharmacy at this Target location and ordered my prescription drug. The pharmacist Tracy was so nice, pleasant and helpful that I have almost offered here to marry me right there on the counter. She called my doctor to send the prescription and also made a special delivery order for exactly the drug and the brand I wanted for the next day. I have switched pharmacies from the downtown Walgreen I usually go and hate so much, to this CVS pharmacy. Thank You!!!! read more

Ugh! Target how I love you! My mom loves you, my friends all adore you, you're always impeccably dressed, and have nice shoes! It's been a fantastic relationship. If I were to marry a place like those other wackos it would be this Super Target, I cheat on my home base Target with this one. It has a larger shoe selection, the grocery has a wonderful bakery section, and there is a booze aisle (appreciate it even though I can't drink) Here's the kicker, the employees actually talk to you in this one. I went to this Target to get a bread maker, which they did not have, but I ended up buying a bunch of other stuff while I was there. Their meat prices weren't too bad, and their fruit prices were cheap--I bought reaspberries for $3.99, when they were about 6.99 at Jewel. And all their veggies looked decent, and were good priced. This is our go-to place to stock up on food and other various household crap. We migrated here after they opened from the Broadview location. I like that they offer grassfed beef, although they recently stopped stocking the ground variety, and Bare brand chicken. My staff interactions are minimal, but have been fine. Cashiers are usually friendly and quick. And it's not Walmart, so it gets at least 2 stars right there. read more

And the ones I do ask seems to only know there department which I guess makes sense but working for a competitor years back we knew the whole store so is expect the same !! This is the most poorly run retail store I have been to in a while. This is surprising from a large publicly traded company. They need to reassess their employees and management. They are always out of merchandise and 3 times now they have left an item out of my bag that I paid for. I am beginning to wonder if they have a theft issue at their registers. This location has gone downhill too many rude young people working there and can't get it together. I was purchasing something from electronics and German who was working in the department was new and he couldn't ring up the the item because it was his first time doing it and his manager didn't train him. He kept paging Taylor apparently she was on her break and apparently everyone was on their break at the same time. What stupid manager makes the schedule like that? Waited for 20 minutes because I was still waiting on assistance. I even walked to the front of the store looking for a manager and asked the nice lady cleaning the carts where is a manager so she paged someone. Then I walked back towards the electronics and see two managers just talking by the halloween area. Correction the store director named Martrel who decided to call me and leave a voicemail apologizing but not apologizing for his behaviors after I did the survey of my experience at his location on the receipt Martrel is an extremely rude person to my mom which I don't appreciate him talking down to her and talking back to her saying "Well people call in and yes I have to give people breaks" "Have you heard of COVID?" All while rolling his neck like a female. Martrel Mr. store director sweetie it's not our problem you are overworked and don't get paid much don't take that out on customers. Be professional and have class Martrel Mr store director. Can I make a declaration for all the world to hear? I LOVE TARGET!! Nothing will put me in a good mood like a trip to target. Why? I don't know. Probably cause Target puts most women in a good mood. This store is known to me and my husband as "the good Target" because we actually have to pass another Super Target on our way to this one. This one has the good carts (all new and plastic-y instead of janky and metal), it's huge and has wide aisles so you're not right up on the other shoppers looking for ketchup or bread. I'm what my husband would call "a poocher." I like to pooch around and, much to his dismay, leisurely walk around Target and just see where the cart takes me. Thankfully, this store affords me the opportunity to do so. I'm in a good mood right now because I will be stopping by here later today! read more

It's really no different than any of the other Super Targets, but it is a nice store. I especially like their huge grocery selection. The employee's aren't the friendliest or don't really go out of your way to make sure your taken care of. It's Target though, no one hates a Target store! It's in a decent location with other strip mall style stores around it so in case you don't find that thing you need at Target (very unlikely), you can jump to one of the other stores. My local Target in the South Loop is a far cry from this one... We were in the 'burbs on a Saturday night and popped in here instead of going to our usual Target, and it was so much nicer. First of all, the place is massive (and that's an understatement)--almost to a fault. I'm sure if it was my regular Target I'd get accustomed to it and know where everything was soon enough, but it was a little overwhelming on my first trip there. That said, the aisle are very clean and everything seemed to be very well-stocked. I told my husband he was lucky we don't live anywhere near it because it could be very dangerous for me to live so close to such a nice Target. The selection was above and beyond what we have in our store. I see a lot of other reviewers complaining about the lines, but there were none to speak of on a Saturday night. read more

I use to live near this Target, and trust me when it first opened it seemed well kept and service was good, nothing amazing but good. Now the employees.. I have had two encounters with rude employees and what is a shocker for me is that they both were elderly, or a lot older than I thought to be being rude.. The first employee would tell me to stay back even though I was already back and way past the 6 ft we are suppose to stand at. and she didn't bother to do the same to the woman behind me. I felt discriminated. now the recent woman watching on self checkout lanes she saw my hands are full and I'm strolling my mother in a wheelchair. she asks me "Is that your basket?" on the checkout lane and just as I was walking away I say "yes" and she tells me to pick it up and put it in the baskets... erm excuse me but isn't that a Target employees job? I felt like she made me feel low (I just acted un bothered and did what she asked) but.. I'm the one spending more money than I wanted at Target and having to take my mother, who's in a wheelchair is not an easy task. and I know I could have left my mother home, but she needed to come see what she wanted personally. I just wish the employees would be less lazy. It's ridiculous I only have these issues ever at Hillside Target. I hope they work on getting nicer employees. read more

I am fed up with this store. Just got back from a shopping trip and so-o-o frustrated! I am only reviewing the grocery section, not the general merchandise. Far too many items are out of date or expiring tomorrow. Produce is mushy/old. Too many items missing. Tags for product with similar product stuck in to fill up the empy spaces. Chips A MONTH out of date. Unfortunately, I have written Target about these conditions for a year now when I get a survey invite on my receipt. Store is only slightly older than a year. Yet, NOTHING changes. If you shop this store, be prepared to have to complete your list at another store and CHECK EVERY DATE ON EVERY PRODUCT!!!!!!! read more

This place started on a really high note and quickly became my go to for both groceries and necessitites. However, over the past year or so, things have gone downhill. Fast. The employees are not helpful, the store rarely has items that I need (when they used to carry these items), and the employees are not at all interested in helping customers (yes I said it again). I mean, customer service should be the most important thing for a store right? Anyway, I've reverted back to grocery shopping at actual grocery stores. By far the worst target I have ever been to. The store is very large and hardly any employees on duty. About 20 registers and only 4 self checkouts open, 2 on each side. i live nearer to several other Target stores, including a Super Target in Broadview (which is awful) and have gone out of my way to visit this Target. One of the reasons is due to a girl that works there (I think her name was Tempest or Tempy or such) who is the most pleasant, kind and helpful person working at a store. The first visit I ever had there several months ago, I was examining meat and she immediately asked if she could help cuz I looked indecisive. And I have gone there and she is not there and I have actually left just because she is not there. One time I went and 3 cashiers were standing around talking while I asked for help. I used to work at Target in Crestwood back in the day. The many experiences and people I've met tend to pop into my head almost every time I walk in one. They've really come a long way as far as things they carry. I like fashion quite a bit and for a guy I love the fact that I can go in there from time to time and find some nice fashionable items that fit me to my liking but aren't all corny or adolescent. They carry a lot of what I consider to be "cool" items for décor as well as fashion and with this being a Super Target its really hard to complain about a store that you can walk in and get all the things you need for dinner tonight and a stylish true slim-fit button-up that's on par with something you'd find in H&M. Prices can be a little high depending on what you're there for so I tend to peruse the clearance racks quite often. The staff are very nice and a lot of them look like they enjoy working there just as I did. And yea.... this place is pretty HUGE... If you're not used to department store/supermarket combos and don't know where a certain department is you're probably better off asking unless you have a lot of time on your hands. read more

The only reason I give it one star is because I have to put at least one to write a review. I have been here 3 times. And 3 strikes you're out. This is by far the WORST target I have even been too my entire life. The worse part about this place are their employees. They are all there just to collect a paycheck. No one wants to help anyone. Each time I have been there, I have heard nothing but conversations to other employees about how they hate working there and that they never get breaks. Each time I have been there, I have had to wait to get help. And when I look around, all the employees are talking to each other even when they see that you need help; making eye contact. I was even looking at cold medicine and an employee came barging over and stood right in front of me, forcing me to move over. I just walked out. Did not even waste my money on the list I brought. I never complain, however, each time I come here, it is awful. Surprised this location is still open. Not one person was friendly. read more
