I needed the set liked it and went a head and purchased it. We get to the end of the transaction and the commercial said FREE DELIVERY, well guess what IT WAS NOT there you go another $129. Please use me as a cautionary tale. Whatever you do, do not buy furniture of any kind from this Ashley or any other. Not only is it over priced and low quality, they delivered damaged furniture not once, twice, even three times. FOUR times in a row they showed up with furniture that was damaged. Dealing with their customer service is a nightmare and they do nothing to try and fix their mistakes. As if this wasn't enough, after about a year of owning our bedroom set, we discovered there were powder post beetles living in the wood. We then learned this is a recurring problem with Ashley. Once again, they refused any kind of assistance or refund. We eventually had to throw out thousands of dollars worth of furniture or risk an infestation in our house. Please, do not buy anything from Ashley Furniture. Ever. I am not one to post negative reviews, but felt people need to be warned. They cited the no-return policy as stated on page 4 of my receipt. PAGE 4! I guess it's my fault for not sitting down with a four page document handed to me after I'd already purchased the item. Visited this location on a Thursday afternoon. Was about 6 people working. Only 2 customers in the store, not a single employee acknowledged us. Everyone just walked past and didn't even look at us. Seems like ignoring customers is the Ashley's sale approach because we had a very similar experience at the Niles location but I came here because I hoped they'd have the couches I wanted to see, and they did. At least I was able to check the measurements and check the comfort before I purchase it. I began shopping at Ashley in 2015. In early 2025, I furnished the majority of my current dwelling via the Ashley Furniture store located in Broadview, IL. That specific store is excellent! The staff and management team are thorough, knowledgeable, and patient throughout the buying process. Ms. Flynn (sales person) ROCKS!!! Be that as it may, the company as a whole SUCKS! They do not stand behind their word, and the costly furniture protection plans mean nothing, unless your item literally falls to pieces all at once. I will never again shop at any Ashley location, and I encourage all of those shopping for furniture to shop elsewhere. Since the latter part of 2024/early 2025, I have purchased NINE PIECES OF FURNITURE from Ashley. The sales people encourage buyers to add the furniture protection plan, as these items are man made, and accidents do happen. On 4/10/2025, I purchased a sofa and matching ottoman. The items were delivered a few weeks later and all appeared to be well. Later on the day of delivery, I noticed several defects; most obvious was a "bowing" across the back, indicating that the rear support beam was broken. I could see it stretching the leather and attempting to push through. This could be felt when I sat back on the sofa. Additionally, none of the four feet are properly placed on the bottom of the sofa, thereby causing a slight imbalance, and the arms are not exactly level. I called the warranty department of the company and was given the run around. Over the course of the next two months, I spoke with Rachel, Christina, and William. I was first requested to e-mail pictures of the defective areas in order to open a repair claim. I did so, waited a few days, and heard nothing! After calling back, I was told to make a video of the defective areas and text it in via Ashley's new repair chat app that was now being used. I did this, and went another week without hearing from anybody. Ms. Christina (service rep) finally got a furniture repair technician out to my home. He was unprofessional, attempted to sit his heavy tools on my naked floor, and I had to ask his name and for him to explain what he was doing. He replaced the broken section of the rear support beam, yet in doing so, he further off-set the arms of the sofa. When I called Ashley to report this, I was told that my current repair claim had to close out before they would open another claim for the off-set sofa arms. I last spoke with a service rep named William on a Friday in early June. He assured me that he worked Saturdays, and would call me back the next day to start the new claim. I never heard from him or anyone else again! Not wanting to endure a defective sofa, I re-ordered the exact same sofa on 6/21/2025. When Ashley came to deliver it, the delivery technician walked in and informed me that Ashley only delivers, they do not remove anything. I could understand this if I were asking them to haul away the defective sofa, or move a piece of furniture different from that which they were delivering (such as a stove, dresser, etc.). I simply wanted them to sit the defective couch on the curb for someone to have it, and to sit the new sofa inside my home. How can the elderly, disabled, and/or single population purchase new furniture if the company they purchase from will not remove the old/defective item??? EVERY Ashley delivery team prior was willing to move old items to the curb, and place the same type of new items in its place. The deliver driver called his dispatcher, who confirmed that she instructs her staff not to move anything out or around. I don't have the space for two sofas, so I instructed the driver to cancel the order and take the sofa back. I called once again to get another (hopefully competent) furniture technician to properly repair the sofa, and I never heard from anyone. After several calls and requests, I received a refund check in the mail. I am enduring a defective couch that I rarely sit on because of these defects. TAKE-AWAYS/LESSONS LEARNED 1. Never again purchase a furniture protection plan. If something happens to the item, you as a consumer are better off finding your own LEGITIMATE furniture repair company/technician via Google, Chat GPT, or word-of-mouth. Ashley contracts with random people who label themselves "handy", yet they may cause more harm than good. 2. Whatever company you shop with, ask specifically what they will and will not do in the delivery process, and if this is a strict policy. 3. DO NOT shop at Ashley Furniture. There is Dania, Darvin, Walter E. Smithe, and so many others who may value your business, keep their word, offer true customer service, and stand behind their products. Well we had a good experience at first. We purchased our first king sized bed and within two weeks, a main part on the frame broke. We have been without a bed now for over three weeks and have to sleep on the floor. We filed a warranty claim and the process has been slow and frustrating. We have barely been contacted by real people. Now, they are telling us the replacement part for the frame will not ship to us until the end of June. This is absolutely ridiculous and frustrating. Our sales person, Andrea, was super helpful and responsive UNTIL we had this issue. Now, it's crickets and she won't help expedite this repair. Ashley used to be the standard, we will not be buying from them again. They clearly sacrifice quality and customer service to save a buck. We were warned this was happening, but we didn't want to believe the warnings. We were wrong and sadly learned the hard way. I highly do not recommend. This is a terrible company. I cannot believe what is happening today. First let me just say that this all started on Jan. 30th 2025. Purchased a sofa and bedroom set along with a mirror. I received everything as promised....except the mirror. I was told it wasn't delivered with the furniture because it would be delivered by Fedex the following week. I waited 2 weeks and called back. I was told there was a delay, I guess there was no need to inform me since the sale had been made already and there was no need to waste time on my order. After a runaround I finally got someone who was a bit more honest, she explained I would not get the mirror until April. So okay, I just had to live with a new bedroom set with no mirror until April. It's April. I called and was told it was delivered today. Wrong address. How did that happen? EVERTHING else was delivered to my CURRENT address, where I have lived for OVER SEVEN years! Who and why did they decide to deliver my mirror to an old address? Three different explanations, calling the store, they don't answer call, so they just bounce back to customer service. Last person told me I had to wait 24 hours for help. Yep, that's it, that's all she came up with. So now I must make arrangements with Pace to pick me up and take me to Ashley so I can do customer service work I won't get paid for. Then pay an Uber to take me home once I'm done doing their job that I won't get paid for. Beware of their service, once a purchase is made. The service offered by Ashley has changed tremendously. Nothing like it was in the pass. Lazy and unconcerned sales and service reps seems to be the norm now. I want to first start off by saying I will never again shop at Ashley Furniture and do everything I can to let the people around me know what type of business Ashley really is! I have never been more disappointed in a order before than this time around. My husband and I purchased a bedroom set basically the entire works spent over $10k back in June 2021. Because of Covid we didn't actually get our furniture delivered until October which was understandable and definitely mentioned when we purchased the order. No big deal. In October our very first delivery every single piece that was delivered was BROKEN or damaged. What shocked me was the delivery driver KNEW this and asked if we wanted to accept the order at a discount. What? First off why waste my time to come to my house with broken and damaged pieces? Clearly this was not the first time Ashley tried to do this to customers. I declined everything from the order and waited on my next order. Next delivery came and I was only able to get the two end pieces delivered because yet again everything else on the order, mirror, headboard, and two dressers where broken or damaged. This has happened over 8 times already! It is now February 2022 and I have yet to receive my new undamaged mirror, headboard, and storage drawers. I have reached out to Broadview talked to several people over there and nobody has been of help. Ashley does not care about your business, they don't care you spent a ton of money, all they care about it delivering damaged things to their customers at a discount. Please go spend your money else where. I also believe the mattress is defected. Look how the bedsheet fits. Look at the gap in the bed frame. Beware the upsell! We originally went in to buy a table and mattress but I really feel like we dodged a bullet after reading the reviews here. We ended up not buying the table, but I should mention that the price listed in store was $100 more than what was listed on the Ashley website. First red flag. We were in the process of closing our purchase on the mattress, which the salesperson and in-store advertising said had a 90 day guarantee. The salesperson then brought in a mattress cover and stated that the 90 day guarantee only applied if we paid $149 for this cover, which was very thin and obviously not worth $49, much less $149. There was no mention of this requirement when we were trying out the mattress. I pulled up the manufacturer website and lo and behold, they have the exact same 90 day guarantee without having to purchase a third rate junky mattress cover. On top of that, the manufacturer offers $300 in free accessories, which Ashley does not offer at all. So in short Ashley was trying to charge $450 more than what we would pay buying direct. When we tried to discuss this with the salesperson, she started playing the whole, "let me talk with my manager" game. Needless to say, we and our $3200 walked right out of the store. We have been around the block enough to recognize these scammy sales tactics for what they are. Don't waste your time or money with this store. read more

Update: I texted the number db told me to, and again, more run around. This is actually about Ashely online. In June I ordered a set of side tables, and the wrong item was delivered. I spent weeks trying to get them to send me the correct item, but they never did. They'd tell me the returns department was working on return ticket for the incorrect item and would email me. No emails ever arrived. I talked to people on the phone, eventually the told me to just keep or dispose of the incorrect item and they'd refund me for the side tables. However, I used a good coupon to buy them and with the refund I would not be able to repurchase them. I told them I didn't want a refund, I just wanted my item. I was supposed to hear back from a supervisor in whatever the "correct" department was after 24-48 hours. Guess what?! NO CALL! I will never shop with any Ashley store again. It's clear from the other reviews for pretty much every store that Ashley does not care about customer service. read more

BEWARE!!! My mom and I went to this location and bought a couch for her new apt . I paid in full and was informed that the couch would be delivered on the 10-1-19 NOT !! We never heard from them on day of delivery . I then was told that the couch was out of stock and that it would not be delivered until 10-16-19 . I called today to inquire about the delivery on 10-16-19 and was told there was no record . I told them that this was a horrible way to do business after many phone calls trying to find a manger to talk to someone they keep you on the line holding and the message to the customer states " we will be with you in minutes " actually hours . This card is a scam through Ashley Furniture. They swindle people by telling you that it's 0% interest IN HOUSE financing, so why wouldn't you sign up? They don't tell you it's a credit card which is then obviously financed through a bank. The problem with that besides being deceitful, is that I'm not going to keep buying furniture for the barely there perks, and I would never use this card over a rewards card for anything that's not Ashley Furniture. So I either risk the card closing due to inactivity and dropping my credit score. Or am forced to spend money on the card that could be better spent on a different one. They're very abysmal. I was very excited when coming in and buying a new bed set, I had explained that I needed it because of an emergency I desperately wanted a bed and a bed set. I was lied that the furniture was going to arrive April 4 to my house. Mind you I payed for a lease to own at the end of March. Turns out I wanted to do 3 big payments, because doing lease to own I would pay 2,000$ On a bed worth 900$.. they still just set me up to not make the 3 big payments we agreed on 350 a month so I wouldn't pay interest and they charged me only 160$ because after 3 months your lease extends and you have to pay 2,000$ now this is where I'm frustrated!! They called me may 14 that it has finally arrived and that it will be ready for a deliver date. Then why lie ? Why say it's going to come may 4 and then make me wait a whole month. Also I payed two payments already and I'm still sleeping on the floor. I got so angry I cancelled my order and I still not seen my refund of the down payments and the first monthly payment! We placed an order on October 30th 2021. We were told that the deliveries may take a while due to covid. Okay, we got that... So we get one part of our order, a dining table and 4 chairs in November. We were told that the rest of the order, a sofa, ottoman, and bench for the table would all arrive by February. February comes...still nothing. We call customer service and were told that our order was pushed back to April. We call early April. We're told our order is not ready for delivery and that it was pushed back AGAIN to June! They said we could go to the store to check out their ready for immediate delivery items to get instead. The sales rep there told us that our sofa would actually be ready on April 30th (today) but the other items still wouldn't be ready until June. So he scheduled the sofa to be delivered today. We get a confirmation text on Wednsday to confirm the date and time for today. I confirm it. Today comes, and 30 mins past the delivery window I call customer service and we're told that it shows we didn't confirm the order so they cancelled it??? And she didn't understand why it showed that because she could see that I confirmed through the text message. We are going up there either today or tomorrow for a refund. Bought a sofa, love seat and 2 end tables. Paid for extra protection plan to. The delivery of the sofa and love seat was terrible. Flaws in the sofa and love seat. Delivery company said we would have to keep them till Ashley sends new ones. New love seat came 2 months later and was good. Sofa came 3 months later and watching the delivery guys drop it off the back of the truck onto the street was nice to see. They unbox it and it broke when it was dropped. Now they are trying to repair the arm rest that broke off in the street. Sent that back and still have not gotten a new sofa. The end tables were uneven and not perfect. Sent them back 4 times and finally got a set that was just ok. Called Ashley customer service gave me the run around. Called sales person and store manager was told not to pay anything till we are happy with the furniture. Also was told the same by Ashley corporate. Got names of everyone! So now months and months later Ashley says furniture and end tables are discontinued so I'm SOL!! Stuck with what I got. Was also sent to a collection agency by Ashley for not paying on furniture, agency didn't want names or any info from people at Ashley corporate. After the last failed delivery, we demanded a refund, and they were incredibly resistant and even offered a discount instead. My wife was in the hospital at Loyola in Maywood, IL. We have a home in Oak Lawn, IL. My wife has been having challenges breathing and requires oxygen. Her doctor told her to get a recliner to sleep in before she was discharged. She selected a recliner from Ashley Home Store and I called the nearby store in Oak Lawn on Cicero. I was told that I could not buy it over the phone and have it delivered, even though I was happy to pay over the phone. I was told I had to come in to the store to buy anything from them. Setting aside the hassle this entails, and the fact that they wanted me to leave my wife's hospital bed to come in and buy from them, what level of stupidity infects management of this company. When I inquired why they stated that they used to be able to sell it over the phone, take payment, and deliver the furniture, upper management had changed the policy. Furthermore, they stated I had to purchase before 7PM to get a next day delivery which was when I needed the recliner for my wife. So here we are, we need a recliner. So I selected the Ashley in Broadview, IL, near Loyola Hospital and ran over. I told the sales person, who was very nice and this review is not about him, rather corporate stupidity, that I needed to buy a recliner. I showed him what I wanted and he gave me a couple of choices. He then directed me to the perfect piece. This recliner was well priced, had the power and massage features as well as the ability to raise up a weak person to a standing position. I loved it, it was even the right color. I told him I would take it. He then said he had to check inventory which I found strange. He also said management had moved up the cut off to 5:30 for next day delivery meaning I would not be able to get the recliner in time. The customer service manager got that straightened out and I thank Mr. TK for that. About that time my sales person said that the recliner I wanted was not in stock and it would be at least 2 weeks. I told him I would take the floor model and was blown away when he said he could not sell it to me. When I asked why he stated it was corporate policy. The poor guy was just doing his job and I could tell he wasn't any happier about it than I was. I then spoke to the customer service manager who stated the same thing. I asked to speak to the General Manager who was not there. I asked to speak to the Sales Manager, who was not there. I asked them to call them to get their approval but they would not do so. I suspect that they were afraid to ask. When I inquired further I was told that if they sold the floor model that they would get a write up which goes against them with the company. Unhappy but needing a chair, I told the sales guy I would take something else. I picked out another recliner ...not available. Another recliner ...not available. Five times I was told it was not available. Finally I asked what was and not surprisingly is was $120 more that the one I wanted. Once he said he had it in inventory and could get it shipped to me I asked to see it. Guess what? Not in the store! I bought it sight unseen because I needed it. So Ashley Furniture would not sell me a recliner over the phone but required me to come to the store. Then when I get to the store what I want is not in stock and they refuse to sell me the one on the floor. Then I am forced to choose another recliner and that is not in the store but costs considerably more!! The colossal stupidity of their process is awe inspiring. To think they have reached a level of success when run by fools who couldn't spell customer service yet exhibit customer service boggles the mind. I have to re-furnish my home soon and it will be expensive. Ashley furniture won't be getting a dime more of my money. The day is quickly coming when an online furniture retailer is going to crush them like an empty can. It can't happen soon enough. read more

I bought a 5 piece living room set (sofa, love seat, coffee table, end table and rug). Was thrilled to "upgrade" my current setup, until I realized I purchased furniture from folks who do not care a single ounce about the customer. I had to have 2 different couches delivered due to rips and tears in the leather. After couch two there were still problems so I finally had to get an outsourced repair company to come out and replace the back piece of fabric. Although fixed now, quality is not what it should be for the amount of money spent on the couch in the first place. The coffee and end table delivery issues touch a whole new level. The original end table came with the couches, but they told me the coffee table was not ready as they needed to make a new one, which is understandable. They scheduled a delivery date for the coffee table a few weeks later and I thought that would suffice. BUT then the delivery date came and went, so I proceeded to call late in the day and they tell me the coffee table I had chosen and already PAID for was no longer being made and that I would have to go back and pick a new table. Of course that means I need to return and replace the end table that was supposed to match. So we return to the store and select a new set of tables with little faith that the process would get any smoother. Boy was I right. The new coffee table came with a screw missing in a leg that was supposed to attach to the top and another leg with a screw through the side of the leg exposed. The end table came with a stripped screw that someone attempted to tape over the hole it was supposed to go in with hopes we just wouldn't catch the problem. Whoever is putting this furniture together has little pride or care for the quality of the product. Hopefully my couches quality and comfort level do not deteriorate over the coming months, but I wouldn't count on it. Ashley furniture got my first and last $ as a result of my experience in this process. I am sure this review will fall on deaf ears, but here is to hoping someone near the top of their organization cares enough to inject some change into the business. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! DONT BUY FROM THIS STORE! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED! On July 17th, I went Ashley Furniture 200 Broadview Village Square, Broadview, IL 60155 ready to purchase some living room furniture. I met the salesperson and they showed me several selections before purchasing a sofa with two chairs. I was informed after purchase that the chairs would be delivered 7/22/21 but the sofa wouldn't be delivered until Sept., however, after reviewing my paperwork there was no delivery date at all for my sofa. I returned to the store the next day and asked to see the manager (Gabriel Andrade). I approached the counter and I explained my situation. He looked up my order and said the system said August. I said, "my paperwork has no delivery date".That's when he tried to reassure me that it could be delivered in August. I said, you could say anything at this point so I could keep the couch. You could say it's raining but it's not and that's when he responded, "It's raining somewhere". That is when he preceeded to say for that matter, there was no guarantee that the chairs would be delivered on their date. I no longer felt confident that I would receive either delivery and asked for a full refund. That's when the Ashley manager (Gabriel Andrade) stated that there was a 10% cancellation fee.($173!!!) Just for walking into their store I had to pay $173 for them to take their crap back! I tried several times to explain to him why would I pay the cancellation fee when the delivery date wasn't even established for the sofa and I had just made the purchase a day before, so it should be a refund and not a cancellation. I had planned to make several additional purchases and refer another relative because the furniture I had planned to purchase was nice. It's unfortunate that the manager preferred to be insulting and offensive and fight over $173 rather than be respectful and I keep the sale of the chairs ($840). The Broadview store is absolute trash. 3 delivery attempts and then they lied and said they would refund me my delivery fee which they never did and denied it when I called. Crazy how those recorded calls become non-existent when the customer needs it. The third party team they use to deliver has got to be the cheapest company possible, they guys have no idea what they are doing and will scratch your floors up without remorse. read more

Hello, Ashley store. I wrote a review 7 month ago about HUGE delay with our delivery. Just for notice: we were waiting our furniture 2 month even though estimated time was few weeks. Anyways, I thought it was the worst accident with your store. I was wrong. We have been using a furniture for 7 month, and I consider the furniture is even worse then their delay. IT IS THE WORST FURNITURE IN MY LIFE. For remind: we have been using it for 7 month. 7. Only 7 month. Quality of the furniture is terrible. Take a look and see how terrible it is (photo). Certain problems already was after delivery. For instance, the drawer nightstand and the sofa. The sofa was damaged by deliverymen. They took a photo of damage, and promised that Ashley will figure out with it. Who wants to predict is Ashley figured out with it??? And in the end of the experience story about your store, I want to tell you about our bed. We just want to through out it. It is such a expensive bed but super bad-quality. The bed creaks every single second of using. Our neighbor from floor below think that we are dancing on the bed every night. WE JUST WANT TO TURN OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE. Plenty of creaks. A LOT. So there are a lot of scary reviews for Ashley furniture, but I couldn't disagree more with them. We had such a great experience from shopping to delivery! The store is large and nicely laid out. You'll end up wanting 4x as much stuff as you need/can afford. Upon walking in, we were approached by Carmen, but the nice part was she let us look uninhibited and then came back around to check on us maybe twice. We needed space to consider our options and we got it. Once we found the couch we wanted, Carmen helped us finalize the purchase. The only awkward part was a little bit of pressure for the 5 year protection plan-- (NOTE: this seemingly varies in price and can be reduced if you bargain!). We didn't want it but definitely got asked about 5 times if we were sure. You get to pick the date for delivery, which is nice. Two days before delivery, we got a text to double check that the day we selected still worked. Once you replied "yes", then you are locked in and can't change it. The day before, we got another text with our delivery window- again, once you agree, you're locked in. Our delivery window was from 11:30-330pm. I was getting ready for a long haul of waiting. At 11:25, my husband got an automated phone call that the truck would be there in 10 minutes!! Not 4 minutes later, a truck pulled up with the couch. These guys are PROS!!! Once we opened the door, it was like a well oiled machine came through- 4 guys brought in the pieces, one guy got to unwrapping, one got to adding the legs on the couch, one guy assembled, one guy took out the garbage created by the couch. The couch was together and the space was cleaned out 10 minutes later. It was mind blowing how quickly it all came together! We love LOVE our new comfy couch and were happy with the experience. read more
