For an old Target this one is not too bad. They have added some of the newer features that the Super Targets have. Hemet is definitely a big enough town to support a Super Target, and I think they should build one. I like coming here because its not as crowded as the Hemet Walmart's. Target always has whatever I'm looking for, whether its a new wallet, new flats (shoes), low price on new movie, buying free weights (that i'll never use), dog treats, and toothpaste, they always have what I need (and even what i dont!). Staff is friendly enough, and lines usually are like 2 customers in front of me max. They have an awesome hair, skin and lotion section, I can always find what I'm looking for when it comes to shampoos and soaps. Their shoe selection is probably my favorite part of the store. For a local department store, they stay stocked with the latest styles so I don't have to make unnecessary trips to the mall. I can seriously get everything I need from this place! The store I went too in HEMET had no PlayStations for the $199.00 sale. So they put regular priced play stations on the display instead. I was One of the first 10 people in line. Managers came out to alert us that they were ((low in stock)) no big deal to us because we were like I said the 10th people in line. We rushed straight to the back to get the PlayStation set up in the men's clothing department. I got to grab from the top we went exactly where they told us they were going to be I was like the third person to grab my box. There were no other play stations and I mean none whatsoever they set them up right next to the Xbox deals as if they were going to be the 199.00 door buster deal. I had made sure to ask employees where I was going a few times while they were walking around giving us the Tea on how it was going to work. Get to the register and they say there's nothing they can do. Called the manager and there was nothing he could do. I threw away my Thanksgiving for the sale. Granted that was my choice, but don't you think they should've told us they were not going to have the item in the first place! People at customer service told us the playstations were gone before the doors even opened from the online shoppers. Totally takes the fun out of it if you're not even going to reserve some for the people who actually come out to support your black Friday sales! I ended up having to give my money to Walmart! luckily the times the stores open were an hour apart! Even though I was like the 50th person in line, I still was able to get the PlayStation for the 199.00 sale. So disappointed in Target for that though I hope you guys fix that next year. My suggestion would be to have a limited quantity for online orders then a separate pallet four in-store purchases. read more

The 1 star is just because the no star option isn't available Rude employees I called guest services to ask about an item I had purchased online that was suppose to be for in store pick up. My item was canceled and wanted to know why the person that was on the phone was polite and let me know what had happened I understood and she offered to check the floor if the item was still available and offered to place it on hold I said great that would be awesome she asked for my name and Call back number she said they would be calling me back shortly to see if it was found. 2 hours pass no call back so I called back and spoke to the rudest human being working there I let her know I had previously called and explained everything and she placed me on hold...and she answers again and plain out said she could not help me because she has a line of customers waiting in front of her "I don't know what happened or what was said but I was on break and the item is not available I have a line of customers infront of me I can't help you" i told her she didn't have to be rude and had kindly called to ask and she kept talking over me raising her voice. I told her thank you for your help and hung up. Honestly the rude service is expected due to the area that Hemet target is located at a lot of homeless and weird people walking around in and outside the dirty store NEVER shopping there EVER again. read more

It's a shame this could be a nice target but I try to avoid going here because the parking lot is always full of pan handlers and solicitors. You can't walk to the store from your car without people asking you for money or trying to sell you magazines or taquitos ect. And then people loiter around the entrance smoking. Which you have to breathe in to get inside. My aunt even witnessed a drug deal right in front of the store on broad daylight. She asked an employee of she saw it too and she said ya and shook her head. Then when you leave you can be sure to have fliers on you windshield and in your door handle. This target needs to invest in security that will clean up the parking lot so customers can shop without being bothered by transients. read more

This Target saves trips to Hemet from being an excursion into a cultural wasteland. Not that Target is high culture, mais bien sur, non. But who doesn't like a Target? If you say you do not like Target, I say you lie. Good things here, people in Hemet are not trendy. Therefore anything target has that is fun and good style this Target usually has in my size. HOWEVERS! Their stockist knows their market and typically they don't carry any Converse clothing for women. Fail. Nevertheless, on nights when I am stuck out there on my lonesome, I shop at Target for entertainment. It's better than any of their sportsbars, except that one with the trivia. This was my first time here and I noticed that the store was super clean, I mean the floors were almost sparkling! The floor plan itself is spacious. Lots of name brands to choose from and the store brands seem like they are quality made as well. I have found so many useful things in this store and this is what keeps me coming back. BEWARE!!!................I am still very displeased with Target. 4 years ago I was having a baby. I was told I was having a girl. I had even had the 4d ultrasound. I did my baby registry at target and everything. when I woke up from my c-section I was told I had a boy. All I wanted from target was to exchange what I had from pink to blue and they didn't let me. I was aloud to return $20.00 a year. This Target did nothing for me corporate didn't do anything for me either. I did find out after my letter they changed the registry rules for returns. Yesterday as I was going into the Target in Hemet, I almost got run over by a car in the parking lot driven by a man who obviously had no manners and I just thought "oh well, this is Hemet". But when I got into the store to return a faulty mini fridge I was pleasantly surprised by the workers. First of all Dani at customer service was so nice and got me a new fridge without me having to go and pick one up in the store. L.o.d.- James is not customer friendly. Did not override a price discrepancy because the "item was priced too high" the item was an electronic that had to be locked up, therefore if it was in the wrong place it was because an associate placed it in the wrong spot & locked it up. Ended up buying a different item and spent 50 dollars less than I would have spent if they would have overrode the price discrepancy. Being a manager or leader in California you must know the "weights & measures law" so if an item is placed in an incorrect location ESPECIALLY if it is something that is locked up, then it should be taken care of. read more

compared to the Menifee Target and other larger stores, this one fairs well. It is clean, organized, and easy to shop. They recently (within the past year or so) added a produce section, so that is a nice thing. I prefer the larger stores, like the one in Menifee, but this one is much better than the other old stores I've visited. Not bad for Hemet. read more

Friendly staff and Starbucks inside. Easy to navigate and usually a good stock of products. The only drawback is its location next to a 99 cent store...they end up with quite a few pan handlers roaming the parking lot. They would be well served to hire a security guard for the parking lot area...would make a huge difference. read more

I go to this Target because its the closest one to my house. But since they opened the Super Target in Menifee, I prefer to go there. Nevertheless, Target always has great deals. Staff are always nice and the store is pretty clean. The only knock I have is the Starbucks located there. They do not know how to make drinks. But they did give me a free starbuck coupon. read more

If I could leave no stars I would. This Target location is by far the worst you could go to. The customer service from there managers Tori and Darian are horrendous. Tori is always in a bitter mood and treats customers as if they're thieves. My husband went to purchase a gift card so we can make a purchase online for a item not available in store. My husband bought the gift card at 5:07pm and still at 6:55pm the gift card is stating invalid. I contacted customer service and they said it was inactive and to contact where we purchased. I spoke to Darian over the phone explaining the issue. He said he could not do anything over the phone to please come in store. I explained how this is inconvenience for us....because we just went there! So my husband went back. Talked to Tori one of the management there and she said there's nothing they can do. To wait the few hours it takes for it to activate and if it still did not work to contact customer service. Can you believe this!!?? They had us come back for NOTHING! Just to tell my husband she can't do anything. We wasted our gas coming back and just the whole attitude of her and not helping her guests. I plan to call corporate and the BBB because this is not how you treat people...let alone don't tell us to come back and you'll help us and you do nothing. read more

I have to say I am not happy with how many dirtbags hang out in front of this store, but the employees are kind and helpful always. I am writing this review for when I was looking to donate a Christmas Tree to a Charity, after Lowes had me waiting over 30 minutes for any help and I left. No sales people were around, but I asked two stockers information about purchasing a tree for a charity and if I could leave it after I pay for them to pick up since i did not think it would fit in my car. I could not spend over 200. First they said they could not hold purchased items, but proceeded to walk with me to the trees, find a very nice one, and since with tax it would be over 200 they knocked down the price for me just a little so that with tax it would be 5 under, then they contacted the front to let them know about the discount, and the front customer service was very pleasant as they tried to figure out how to do the discount, and they found an associate to help me out to try fit it in my car. It fit, I delivered the tree, and the charity was very thankful, and I was very thankful to those stock members and the team at customer service in the front. They made a frustrating day come to an end, and let me give to others. read more

I really wanted to get a shout out to the clerks in the electronic department. I witnessed one worker help out on older women for an hour just to purchase a cell phone. The customer service at this location is horrible. I bought two pairs of shoes on clearance for like $9. I wore one pair the next day and not only were the shoes extremely uncomfortable, they also dyed my foot black. I went back to this store with the receipt to return the shoes 2 days after I bought them. Windy, the front end supervisor, refused to do a return on the pair that was worn, despite the fact that the shoe was obviously defective (there was dye on the box too) and I had the receipt. She claimed that the receipt clearly states they do not take returns on shoes. I asked her where it says this in the return policy, so she read the back of the receipt and tried to convince me that it said no returns on shoe. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was in charge and that was no one above her I could speak to. I went outside, called target.com, and they said that was not their policy and that at the very least I was entitled to a shoe exchange. When I went back in, another worker was at the desk and returned the shoe without a problem, stating it is obvious that dye was coming off the shoe. I asked him who the manager is and he described a different woman and said she was there. Windy walks up to him as I was walking away and begins to talk about how he should not have done the return. I had to grab a couple of items and as I'm walking to the check out line I saw Windy, asked for her name, and told her I would be reporting her for her rudeness and for lying. She then began following me through the check out, telling me that I need to learn to read the receipt and random other stuff. She then called security on me and stared me down as I was leaving. I had not yelled, cursed, threatened, or touched her in anyway so I found her calling security on me and staring me down as I was leaving to be outrageous and frankly quite racist. I asked to speak to the real manager and the security guard had nerve enough to ask me if he could help me with something. Thankfully, the manager was very apologetic about the situation, but the damage had already been done. Corporate really needs to look into this sort of "customer service" before they end up losing all their customers. read more
