I was told it was $75 to come and look, which would be put against repairs if I did the work. Turned out they said it was just an adjustment after they used devices to measure heat. Then they charged me $125. I was surprised by that because it was quick for them and they didn't have to do any physical labor or install parts. It didn't really take two men! I haven't used it yet and don't know if it's improved but they said they adjusted it to be right. Oh, and second, when I inquired about balancing the refrigerator, I was told I have too much food in there! I'm a senior but not that gullible. I think they take advantage. I paid $75 for the parts and labor and picked up my fridge the next day. It came with a 30 day warranty. When I brought it home I noticed that even on the lowest setting it was now freezing everything in the bottom. I took it back up there and they changed the cold control for free. They had it from Saturday to Friday (ugh ... a bit too long for my taste) but they did it for no extra charge. They updated me by phone the whole week that it was there. I'm talking about the store on State that's south of Florida next to the kung fu place and the billiards place. When I paid, they told me that they did take credit/debit cards but the only one that could run the card was the owner and he wasn't there.

I called for an appointment and liked how they follow up with texts so there is no confusion. Anthony was right on time, very professional. He was up front about the age of our fridge and if we were thinking about replacing it any time soon, he would not bother with the repair. Since a new fridge is not in our budget, we went with the new ice maker. He wasn't sure if another part would be needed, so he said he would order that part too. 8 days later, I got a text saying that the part came in with an open appointment time, if it worked for me. Communication was very efficient! Anthony came replaced the ice maker and tested the other part. My old one was working so he didn't have to replace it saving me $120! Also, the charge for the initial diagnostic appointment was applied to the final repair cost so that was a savings too! It's been about a month and my new ice maker is working like a champ! I appreciate Don's warranty on their work, if I should need it. Anthony was good about cleaning up after each time, even when we said we would do it.
