It's been a few years, but I decided to come back in and give it another shot. I stood in the store for about an hour walking around looking at different pieces of furniture and was not approached once. There were four workers sitting there, playing on their phone and also walking around, purposely walking away from me as I got close. I finally got to ask someone for some help and realized I don't want them to earn commission if they do earn any. Maybe I'll purchase online, but that was a horrible experience last time as well. Customer service sucks, as I walked around and received no assistance. Upon getting ready to leave I notice 2 employees just chatting it up so I continued to look around to see if they would say anything. Not a word. I begin to leave and then I am asked if they could assist me. One of the chat boxes was actually a form of a manager. My disgust with the manager and how she handled the situation stating that the other lady had already spoke to me. That employee stated she never spoke or had the time as she was with a customer. After waiting for the manager, I enlightened him on my distain with his staff. This was the worst experience I have ever had with Living Spaces, and I've been a loyal customer for more than 10 years. When I purchased a rug, I was told that I would have several days to return or exchange it if I wasn't satisfied. Less than two hours later, I returned to the store to exchange it for another rug that cost nearly twice as much. To my surprise, I was denied the exchange, even though I was trying to spend more money. Most of the employees I interacted with were courteous and professional. Unfortunately, my experience with the store manager, Melinda, was completely different. I left feeling as though I was being racially profiled and treated differently. As a recently retired African American Navy officer and a member of a military family, I have always believed that customers deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. I have rarely felt as devalued and disrespected as I did during this interaction. After more than a decade of shopping with Living Spaces, I am extremely disappointed that this is how a loyal customer was treated. They never told me that they have a very short period to return their furniture!! I bought my friend a couple of pieces to start her marriage with on a good foot. Well, the pieces DID not fit where they needed to go so when I went to go return them Christuan, the guy at the outlet location told me he couldn't take them back!! Now I have that furniture sitting in my garage!! I don't need it and I know if I sell them on Marketplace people will not pay full price. Just SUCKS all around. We purchased a 6 ft leather sofa in March of 2022. There is only my wife and I (we are in our mid 70's). The left arm rest and left cushion is totally compressed and not comfortable. We purchased our sofa from Living Spaces in December 2023. We selected the couch we wanted, picked the fabric and picked out fabric for the pillows. The couches were estimated to arrive February 1st however they got delivered yesterday. The delivery men were nice and did a great job setting up our new couches. I am very pleased with our overall selection and love our new couches. I gave 4 starts because The sales associates were a bit pushy and it was extremely uncomfortable having the woman with the iPad follow us around the entire store while we browsed. If I sat down on a couch to check it out, she would immediately come over with the iPad to talk about fabric and pricing. This company does not accept returns if you order the wrong size, even when the product details are unclear. The listing did not clearly state whether a box spring was required, so I did not order one initially. To make matters worse, the bed frame was delivered directly, but the mattress was shipped separately through UPS and still hasn't arrived. Despite this disorganized delivery process, they refuse to accept a return of the incorrect box spring, leaving me stuck with a product I cannot use. The lack of transparency, poor coordination of deliveries, and rigid return policy make this an extremely frustrating experience. When Living Space opened by us, folks were somewhat underwhelmed by the quality. Sadly, their less expensive items were cheap and their more moderate priced items were expensive. Sorry. Now almost ten years later, we came away more favorably impressed. Clearly Living Space has figured out what they needed to fix. Yes, they still carry some really inexpensive furniture. But Living Space now offers a more affordable middle market, with several HGTV designers brands. If you like Joanna Gaines' Magnolia brand, or if you are fans of Nate & Jeremia's color patterns and complementary decorating style as we are, then you'll find yourself spending a lot more time here. Btw, both are located on the left as you come in. Mind you, Living Space will never be confused with Arhaus. But then again, I do like what they've done with their brand. Enjoy! read more

We started our search at La Mirada location but due to not being a local delivery, we made the choice to look for it a nearby store to our new home. We had an idea of what we wanted from what we had seen in the other store. Sasha M. assisted us with the purchase of our new living room. She was very patient with us because we kept bouncing back and forth. She gave us our space and time to make our decision. If you pay for delivery, the company that living spaces uses to deliver your furniture will tell you that it cannot fit and then force you to pay them a " extra fee" or they will have to return your items and charge you a 20% restocking fee. The two delivery personnel's exact words ..." what can you do for us? " Taking advantage of people !!! They are trying to get tip money from you! We have already called and submitted a report for an investigation. However, we haven't heard anything. I doubt living spaces even cares. Do not pay for their delivery! Higher movers or pick it up yourself unless you want to be scammed by the delivery team living spaces uses. We have proof of the delivery and of the two delivery personnel that claimed an item would not fit, and they also included that in their report. Then had my friend pay them an additional $200 and magically her couch was able to fit. After we called living Spaces, they did confirm that the report said the items were undeliverable and that they would not fit where they needed to go. 2 years ago I was going through a divorce, a very hard time, lost all furniture that my ex took. Went to living spaces to purchase a bedroom set for $2,700. First mistake, is that I TRUSTED the sales rep, she said 3 year promo, pay $100 a month, it'll be paid off before the end of promo. I was almost finished paying off the furniture when I got an $1,800 interest charge on the card. Now I owe $2,800! Living Spaces Credit card rep said Living Spaces could help by canceling the charge, and charge again adding the correct promo. I don't leave negative reviews. I understand the ins and outs of business, corporate hierarchy, and that customer service is a very difficult line to walk. But this experience was absolutely terrible, across the board, and I feel I have to share. We purchased a trundle bed June 10 from Livingspaces.com. We had been in their showroom in Milpitas the previous week, and we saw something we liked and they recommended we purchase online. The delivery date was 19 days out, and we accepted that. When the delivery drivers arrived, they unloaded the bed in two boxes. Both boxes were the wrong product (a product that is not even sold on Livingspaces.com) and they were two different colors as well. We spoke to the driver, he was not allowed to take the bed back as he had "already delivered it". We called Customer Service. They apologized, and offered 15% off, and scheduled a new delivery for 3 weeks later. We were told to store the incorrect bed for this timeframe. Three weeks came and the correct bed is scheduled to be delivered. We received 21 duplicate emails (!!!) that morning confirming delivery. The truck pulled up, and before they took the boxes off the truck we asked to see them (we wanted to be cautious). They were incorrect AGAIN. Both boxes were at least the same (though both wrong) color, and again a different brand and product than what is sold on LivingSpaces.com. While the drivers were idling, we spoke to Customer Service. They told us WE made the mistake, that we "ordered the wrong product". Again, the bed that was delivered does not exist on their site. We think someone coded their product names incorrectly on the site, and that they sell different products through different retailers but their backend is one big mash-up of all the products not organized by retailer. The product name, pictures, model number - None of it exists on their website. There is no way to find it at all. The drivers took the original (incorrect) bed, as well as the replacement (also incorrect) bed when they left. It wasn't their fault at all, and they were apologetic. We were told a NEW replacement for the bed was far backordered, and may take 2 months. We can't wait any longer. It's been almost 2 months already. After three more calls over the next 2 days, we were told the best course of action was to cancel and refund the original order and they would apply the discount to a new bed we found that cost a little more but would deliver much faster. We were told to expect a call yesterday before any action was taken. We did not receive a call. Today I called - I was told the refund was processed the previous day (without a call), and they "must have forgotten to call". I was told to "make the new purchase, and then call back and we can talk about a discount". I explained I hope they understand, but based on our experience so far I don't have much faith. He told me that's what his manager told him to tell me, and put me on hold. He came back 6 minutes later, and offered "free" delivery. Delivery was ALREADY free. When I pointed this out, he clarified he meant free "indoor" delivery. I told him this held no value to us - the difference between our front porch and the indoors is 3 feet. He was unable to help further and began repeating his apologies. I asked for a manager. I was placed on hold, and a woman (I believe she said her name was "Greto", though she said it quickly and quietly. She is not allowed to give a last name) came on the line. She repeated what the previous employee said. Over and over. Sorry for your experience. We cannot offer anything further. As far as they are concerned, when the original order was canceled that completely their responsibilities for their mistakes. She also pointed out that there were no notes to the 15% offered discount, or the recommendation of cancelling the order and placing a new one, or the promise of a call. Almost nothing was noted. I asked to speak to her manager, and she said no, that is not allowed. There is no further escalation after her. This has been extremely frustrating. Extremely unprofessional, from their website coders to their quality control to their customer service to their managerial structure to their best practices. They could not have made LESS of an effort to make good on their mistakes. Based on our experience, DO NOT expect appropriate, professional, or acceptable assistance in case of any issues. We will never purchase from Living Spaces or any associated company again, we will recommend to every family member, friend, and stranger that they do not trust this company, and every time I drive by their showrooms I'll be reminded of how terrible they are. A company that values rigid policies over loyal customers makes it clear that the real cost isn't the fee, but the loss of trust. I've been a Living Spaces customer for over ten years. I recently went in to buy a couch, asked some questions about the product and fabric, and made my purchase. After getting home, I did some additional research on the fabric and discovered it had a known history of defects. I called the Living Spaces warranty team to ask if this known issue would be covered. They told me that even though the problem is documented, it would not be guaranteed under the warranty. I decided to cancel my order, less than an hour after purchasing and before anything had shipped. I was told there would be a $500 cancellation/restocking fee. The representative said the store manager had the discretion to waive this fee, but the manager told me there was nothing he could do and even suggested that calling customer service was pointless because "they suck." It's strange that a company would charge a significant restocking fee for an order that hasn't even left the warehouse, and that managers claim to have no ability to help--even after a decade of loyalty from the customer. I purchased a mattress from Living Spaces on May 10, 2025, and unfortunately, it's been nothing but a nightmare since. The first mattress delivered was clearly defective. When I contacted Living Spaces, they refused to issue a refund, leaving me with no choice but to file a claim with the warranty company. After an inspection, the warranty rep agreed that the mattress didn't meet standards, and Living Spaces sent a replacement -- the same model. Shockingly, within 10 minutes of delivery, I noticed the second mattress was also defective. Once again, Living Spaces refused a refund, so I had to file yet another warranty claim. The replacement mattress was also defective. After countless phone calls, emails, and what I thought were successful re-orders, I found out the new mattress order had been canceled without my knowledge. I've now spent over two months chasing down a resolution, including 9 days sleeping on an air mattress, just trying to get what I originally paid for. As of now, a new mattress is finally out for delivery -- fingers crossed it's not defective like the first two. This has been one of the most frustrating and exhausting experiences I've had with a retailer. Poor product quality, worse customer service, and absolutely no accountability. I've had a generally good experience with living Spaces. However, calling living spaces, customer service is a crapshoot. Some people have been wonderful and others I think just got out of prison yesterday and have no people skills. One experience with this customer service rep Rachel was just awful. I asked about returning something. An order and she just cut me off and said no no way. I read the policy posted on the website which contradicted what she was saying and she just screamed at me and said well that's wrong and disconnected me. Again, I love the products I've gotten from living Spaces and 50% of the time I've had good customer service but when you get bad service, you get really bad service. Just average. The inventory seems to be a lot of the same things. Some of the expensive furniture is nice, but over priced. The average and Less expensive furniture is lower quality. Service is average as well. Also unless you can pickup your purchase and transport it yourself there are delivery fees, which I see as hidden extra costs they won't tell you about until you make the purchase. I'm only giving one star because the delivery guys where competent and polite. I'll start by saying we have purchased multiple pieces of furniture from this place, and it takes a lot to get me to write a negative review, but I will say I will never spend another dime at that store, regardless of location. My wife and I went in a few weekends ago to look for a new mattress. After some back and forth we finally decided on a split king, with the base that allows you to raise your back / feet. We explained to the sales rep we had a storage bed that we had purchased from them before, and didn't need box springs. We were told, "No problem. We will get it delivered and set up for you." Four thousand dollars later, we were out the door. Then we waited. And Waited some more. Two weeks went by, and then we finally got a call that we could have it delivered the following Friday during the day. I work from home, so that wasn't a problem. We bagged our old mattress, moved everything so that set up would be easy for the delivery team. When they showed up, the driver took one look at our frame and told me "This isn't going to work. What you purchased is too heavy for your bed, and it will break." I asked if the store had any supports they could send / we could buy? He didn't know. He was polite, but was unable to offer me any kind of solution...Aside from telling me I could go to Home Depot and cut myself some bunkee board supports. I have a hard time believing the store that sells beds, doesn't have a solution considering we bought our last bed from them, and THEY PUT IT TOGETHER! So after staring blankly for a while, I asked if there was someone I could speak with. After some back and forth, I spoke with someone who sounded like they were in their living room watching Telemundo, with a baby screaming in the back ground. I explained the situation, and was told I would be getting a phone call that day to talk with a manager, so we could get some kind of resolution and reschedule the delivery. So...That Friday wound down, as did the next day, and I received no call. Then my wife and I figured we might as well try to get this resolved in person, so we drove back to the store. When we finally got the manager of that department, and I explained the situation, she could not have cared less. I wasn't looking for heads to roll, and we weren't angry, we just wanted the bed we paid for. I asked why I didn't get a call. She said, I don't know why they would have told you that, I was off. I asked why they would have sold us a bed, (after we told them what we have) that wouldn't work. She said I the sales guy was new, and how could he have known...I explained we TOLD him. I asked her how we could make this work. She advised that we could go to Home Depot and build a support. Seriously...WTF is it with these people and Home Depot? After it became crystal clear this lady had no interest in helping us get our bed, we asked for a refund...And at that time she said, "Yeah, we started processing already." Nice. These people don't care. I work in customer success and would fire my team if they were that rude to a client. Final note: As I tried to reach someone else to voice my concern, I was routed to a call center in India. I politely explained I'd like to get the contact of someone responsible for the stores in my area...And the guy offered to send me an email I could send back to him. "No...I would like to speak with someone who can actually help me, and I don't exactly have faith that an email will ever reach anyone." The next day I got a follow up call from a "manager" who sounded suspiciously like she worked in an Indian call center. Anyways, don't give these people a penny of your hard earned money. The only reason I'm giving a 3 star review is because of Dylan and his attentiveness throughout our whole shopping experience. It all took a turn when we went up to pay. Kehlani was the employee who checked us out and she had a very unpleasant attitude. We tried to ask questions and she ignored us and she looked annoyed with us. Then another girl who came up behind her she was blonde with glasses also had a bit of annoyed look and ignored us. We really contemplated canceling the whole transaction and just walking out. First of all we spent over $14,000 dollars at this store and we swore after our last experience about 5 years ago, we'd never go back! Well, after going in again in March of 2025 and finding a complete bedroom set, including the separate tilting King bed, dressers, night stands, huge dining room table with 6 chairs, a beautiful sectional couch with 3 built in recliners and the extra piece with the phone charger snd cup holder things started happening. First, let me say we did not buy the extended warranty because it was a joke, again! First my mirror for my dresser was on back order. Didn't know if we'd ever get it. So, all this furniture was delivered to our Lake Havasu house, from Las Vegas. We called our salesman Damon in Menifee, CA and he said we could pickup the mirror in Menifee. So while back in California, we went to the showroom and they proceeded to take the floor model off for us to bring back to AZ. Got the mirror transported and my husband put it on my dresser. None of the holes lined up plus we found the entire back large piece of fake wood had numerous holes in it from them trying to figure out how to put it on! When the dining room table showed up, no hardware was found. Finally found them in my dresser! One of the dining room chair's back is cracked. Called Damon back and he said we only had 7 days to return it! Nothing was delivered that same day! I've made calls, filed 2 different claims and its a joke! Now our cup holder phone charger little extra piece, the charger connection was getting hot, my husband took that apart, we found a new receptacle for $50 bucks and replaced that ourselves. After I filed that claim, they sent 2 emails stating they don't have that pice of furniture anymore and we could just dispose of it! I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years. I recently just spent over $15,000 at Living Spaces and than got treated like a piece of shit over a $175 battery pack, which I had for three months and I didn't know that I really didn't need it because the also recommended I buy and extension cord. I purchase a recliner and the sales rep recommend that I buy a battery pack and extension cord. After plugging the battery pack in and using it a few times, I realize that the battery pack does not hold a charge. I took the battery pack back to Living Spaces and they recommend that I called the manufacturer. Who is the manufacturer? I wonder because on the box it says Living Spaces, they basically told me that there's nothing they could do for me and oh well you just spent $175 for nothing and it's you lost. What utter BS for "Customer Service." Don't shop here period if you intend to get something that will require a Delivery. Their "Proper procedure" means they won't even consider, No, they "Can't" as they will tell you, allow you to ask for a proper delivery time to your house. You'd think making a large purchase would afford you some decent courtesy? NO, Not here, not ever! They give you all the alerts, and they'll change the day of a delivery 48 hours in advance, but they WILL NOT allow you to ask them to delivery in the afternoon, or Evening... nope. They give you a 3 hour window, and Piss off if you can't be there, because you know, you work for living. It's their loop hole, "Well you can change the day" Which they'll charge you for within that 48 hours, but apparently the delivery team has no Cell phone, no message on the order to deliver at a customer approved window. They TELL YOU when to be home, even if another slot in the day is better. Again, the weekday isn't the issue, it's the Time Frame. That's NO Customer Service, it's a middle finger to you purchasing from their company. Oh, and BTW, you can't even contact the Store directly... it all goes through their Customer Support line. So you Can't call a Manager, you'd have to walk back in there, just for them to tell you They have no way to specify a delivery date. So, They lost me forever as a future customer, and i was looking to refurnish other rooms, but not anymore. How do Companies operate like this is beyond me... When asked to speak to her supervisor she said she had none that there was no regional manager or district manager that we could speak to - she would not answer questions or provide assistance for a coach ( sleeper) that is broken and dangerous to use.
