What is the point of having 14 lanes if only 2 are ever open, and the line extends to the back? Plus, For the last two weeks there have been like 4 new self checkout registers out of order. I spend more time in line here than shopping. The only reason I come here is because there's not many stores in this area. This place is a huge mess all the time. This location is always crowded, the parking lot's always full and the restrooms are gross. I literally use the restroom at Lowe's instead of going inside target. There's never enough employees, I take that back- they're there but they're stocking shelves & switching inventory while consumers could use their help at check out stands. I grew up in the hood and this is by far the most HOOD Target I've ever been to. Good lord...reminds me of Walmart in that it's a goddamn mess and the customers here are so goddamn rude. They don't move out the way when you're coming through with a cart stacked higher than you and clearly you can't see them but do they care? Nah...hood af. I typically avoid this one unless they have something in stock that no other Target has. Avoid avoid avoid. I haven't had issues with any of the employees. There really is oddly very few check out lanes open and the vibe here is more careless than at other more together Targets but again, I haven't experienced service issues. read more

The access to register lanes here on weekends is poor and the customer service is even worse. I just spent 15min in line to be told by the machine I needed to go to a different register. I flagged down a team member to assist(Carissa), I was told there was nothing that could be done and I would need to stand in another line all over again. I explained that did not seem fair considering I just stood in line and there were several lines with extended wait times. I asked to speak to someone else about the situation. The team member Carissa instead of finding someone else to assist me responded with "I just got here!" And continued to stack bags as the lines continued to extended into the walk area. This is wild. All the lines are packed and you've got people on the floor who prioritize bags over cutting down the line or customer service? It appeared that Carissa couldn't even be bothered to reach out to another team member to assist. I did not ask you when you got to work Carissa, I asked for assistance or someone else if you were unable to provide assistance. At least be able to communicate with customers like you actually have some sort of regard for customer service. But I digress, I would have never had to deal with Carissa at all if the store could manage to cut down lines in a timely manner. Friends ask me why I drive to the Target in Manhattan beach and this is exactly why. Poor service and these extended wait times have happened too often!! I'd prefer if the store focused more on customer service training versus store remodeling. read more

One of the cleanest Targets I've ever been to. There is another one on Redondo Beach Blvd (not too far away) and it is ALWAYS filthy. These two are worlds apart. I like my shopping with a side of clean and this Target is right on target with the clean!! Hawthorne Target is just like any other. Store was clean, organized and well stocked which is a plus. Staff was friendly too. con's Restroom was dirty which is a minus in my book. There were people out in the parking lot asking people for money which is pretty uncomfortable although security was out there asking them to leave. There were sales people from I don't know where selling stuff too. If I come here again I would definitely not go alone. read more

This is my store location of choice. Eventhough it is not the best in the area, it always has what I need when I need it. I am not here to complain about the Target, I'm here mainly to complain about the Starbucks inside this Target location. I walked in there and there was a long line .. I waited 10 min and the line was still not moving so I left the line and went to shop inside Target. Then I came back to starbucks after finishing my shopping and there was no line, but took a while to get some help .. The baristas need to change theyre attitude, atleast fake smile or something and greet your guests, Anyways when i was trying to order my drink the barista was talking too much with her coworkers and laughing while taking my order and she wasnt paying attention at all that I had to repeat myself two times, because she was getting my order wrong. I recommend to go at this Starbucks whenever I go they know how I want my drink there was a girl I think her name was Melissa or Vanessa she was the only one working there by herself and made sure my drink came out right!! She made sure to take to her time and not rush on my drink and actually acknowledge me when I was waiting in line. read more

I must officially take away a star because I have been back to this location twice and BOTH times the store itself was pretty messy. Whoever said this was a nice target or the nicest one they've ever been to, has obviously NEVER been to a nice target. This is an UNACCEPTABLE Target by standards actually. 2. The other annoyance BOTH times was the fact that people are INSIDE of the store panhandling. W-T-F...??? People are coming in here trying to shop and go on with their day and you're walking up to people asking for change and "donations" for school events. REALLY? Where is management?? Better yet- --where the hell are the parents sending these kids IN the damn store asking people who are shopping for money??? Advertisement specialists never lied when they said 'Location, Location, Location...' This is the ONLY target I have ever been to that this has happened- which also happens to be in the "area" which could be considered "hood" if you just concerned yourself with the actual street location. I can partially understand waiting or setting up a table outside to ask for some help with some needed "change" but damn walking up to people IN the store while they are trying to shop? After that second incident, I said that i would NOT return to this location no matter what. Yeah, it may sound a little mean, but damn can I shop in peace without that kind of annoyance? I like this target but every time I come to get my daughter formula they are always out of stock. The baristas in Starbucks need better/proper training on how to provide quality customer service. They are not welcoming at all. Can I at least get a smile?! Every other Starbucks I go to baristas are always acknowledging customers in line. Where as this location .... nothing. By far my favorite target! Ive always found everything I needed here and above all its super clean and organized (unlike Inglewood target). Parking lot is huge, just like any target dont come at the peak hours unless you want to stand in line for a while. read more

Not to bad, but not really great. Since Lowes did not have a box fan, we were forced to come here. I forgot that it was even here. Its a pretty large Target. We made a pit stop at the snack counter for a chicken strip combo. Despite the location and heavy traffic, the checker was pretty friendly. I'll give her points as she was having a hard time managing that little counter. The chicken however, I was not impressed by. We love the little chicken strips. Some Target do a better job than others. They are best when they're fried rather than baked or microwaved. These were baked in some kind of toaster oven/salamander. The edges were quasi burned and some of the breading was soft and mealy. Not many choices for sauce (Ranch, BBQ or Ketchup). The Pepsi drinks were not operating, so we had to settle for Coke. The napkin dispenser was empty. I pointed it out to the gal and by the time we left the store I noticed it was full. The soda & ICEE dispenser were both messy and needed to be cleaned. I think they need another person to help her here though as she barely had a minute to do anything. There was ALWAYS somebody at the counter. Kudo's to her for keeping her cool. Other than one stock person, I saw no employees in the store. I had a few question, but had nobody to ask. We did not have to wait long to be checked out. The cashier looked really ticked off, but was friendly to me (that's all that matters right?). She kept kind of looking a round. The grocery store part. It has a quasi grocery store. It's not a full sized grocery section, but better than the 4 aisles of food products and 2 aisles of frozen/refrigerated good. What did I really not like about this store? It REALLY ticks me off that they put this grocery store on the opposite side of the store. To get to it, you have to walk all the way through the store. I realize this is to make you pass things and impulse shop. However to me, it makes me not want to get groceries here. I need a store I can get to and get out of there. Not spend all damn day in a store while my ice cream melts as I walk a half block to the check out lane. The idiot who did the layout here should really be fired. read more

This place used to be the spot....It was clean organized and friendly now that all the ghetto people come here is dirty, everything is out of order they bring all their kids and street vendors outside delling chocolate, tamales, balloons and even A guy with a guitar selling songs. This might be the worst Target I've ever been to. We just moved offices close by so I've needed to make multiple trips to get a few odds and ends and I've never successfully been able to find anything we were looking for there, even though it was pretty simple items. The people I've asked for help from were super rude and didn't want to be bothered. Tried to salvage my trips with some popcorn on the way out and all 4 times- I've been unable to get anything from the snack counter. Went in for a few simple supplies. They had a promotion for buy any 3 Neutrogena products (as signed) and get a $5 gift card. Grabbed one of each body wash and a face wash (all had signs directly below them). Went to check out, no gift card, face wash doesn't apply?! They made me walk back and buy another instead of honoring their mistake. I had been eyeing a pair of exercise leggings at other targets but held off for a sale. Luckily I found the exact leggings I wanted at this location on clearance for over half off the original price. I bought them and took them home. Yay!! Tonight I took the tags off to put them on and head to the gym and as I'm pulling them up I see a horrible, disgusting stain inside the crotch of the leggings!!! The tags were attached when I purchased them so I'm not sure how this happened, but this is repulsive. Apparently they do not check returns or they did and decided to go ahead and sell them anyway at a discount. Revolting. read more

I didn't even make it to the store.... I called three times to attempt to get my question answered. First time the operator didn't answer, rang for 3 minutes. Second attempt, electronics answered and put me on hold supposedly to go find out, I was on hold for 15 minutes before I hung up. The third attempt.. the operator picked up but attempted to transfer my call to who knows where because she would just say , hold on, and nobody answered. After two instances of her transferring my call , I noticed my call was disconnected. Horrible customer service. I know it's Busy but come on!! read more

This is probably one of the worst target store. There are always long lines and the employees are not nice. I bought a gift card that did not work and I brought it back and the employees treat me like I stole the card.
