I visit this particular Target location out of necessity. The customer service is poor and biased. The last visit 10/16/18 was the worst, exchanging an item and received less than the amount paid due to tax, which is higher in this Hawthorne than Redondo Beach. That hack of a store has so many empty shelves,low variety of product and a mess. After waiting 20 minutes to speak to a manager, she could only offer excuses, quote policy and hollow apologies. I don't know why everyone is so dramatic, like get off your damn high horses and understand that the employees are doing what they can. I come here every week and this is my target of choice. I've had the pleasure of being helped by the store manager several times during my shopping visits, I would just be walking down the aisle and she always politely ask if I need help finding anything, and if it's not on the shelf she asks the staff in the back to look. Also Danny is a delight and is always helpful when the lines are long. People complaining about carts is ridiculous, you are probably the people leaving the carts in parking spots....hey here's a crazy idea, put them in the cart return! I saw store clearance item on target website. It clearly say "Online not available, Online order-store pick up not available, Limited stock available at Hawthorne store". which means I need to go to store to get that price. I went to store Hawthorne Target store (2700 W 120th St. Hawthorne, CA 90250 ) on Jan 29 2017 around 10:45 AM. I did not see the item on the shelves. I asked for help to a gentle man. He called another lady, waited about 15 min. I gave the lady DPCI No. 085-05-0169. She called warehouse lady and she picked it up, waited about 20 min. Thanks to them they brought the item. When I checked out it shows regular price. I was told to go to customer service to get adjustment. Customer service supervisor black woman named TAILA refused to adjust the price. She said it is online price, not store price. I explained her it is not available to buy online purchase, it is the price to purchase at store. I requested to see her supervisor. I was so excited when they opened another Target in my area. The parking is great and I could always find the items I wanted. On my first trip to this Target I got attitude from a store associate when I asked her the location of the ladies room. Damn it was a simple question maybe next time I have to pee I will pee the damn floor....how is that was a clean up in aisle 7. I recently purchased a portable DVD player only to get home and find a better one with more accessories at Walmart. So the very next day I head back to the store receipt in hand. I was told at customer service that security had to look the box over.....after three pages on the walkie talkie he finally strolls up with his head down glued to his cellphone...WTF is he texting? yeap he was he glanced at the box and gave a nod and the return was completed. Today was the deal breaker. I purchased a paper shredder only to get it home and see that the diamond cut was horrible you could still read my info. So I repackage it and head to the customer service counter only to have a prego associate tell the clerk who was helping me that once opened it could not be returned. I asked for the manager.....lol lol well ghetto mama tells me the same thing ..."and we cant give you anymoney back". I ask to speak to her manager and Ms. Shala something says on open mic she could not come over she was too busy!!! Okay no the ghetto is starting to come out and its not nice when it appears. I did not want money I want a cross cut shredder which you did not have lastnight. I go look and find the last one beat the hell up box it looked as if it had been sealed again and it cost near $80 bucks. I will drive my ass past this Target and go to Walmart. I'd have to disagree with previous reviews. I come here quite often and have never had any issues. Fast and friendly service whenever I need something and the management staff always makes sure that the lines are not long at the front. It is also one of the newer Targets in the area so I prefer to keep coming here, as supposed to Inglewood. read more

I don't get all the bad reviews for this location, it's one of the nicer ones in the area. Selection is nice enough to make you want to browse around and they always have what we go in for. When my wife has something to return, she's usually done in about five minutes, if not less. The lines have not been an issue either. This location is very hard to find baby items stocked but what is good about it their snack area is fully stocked! Which makes my trip worth it. I never usually like to use public restrooms but this time I was doing the duck dance so I had to. The restrooms smell bad. The floor was wet for some reason with prints and it wasn't a rainy night. Not to mention, there was almost no toilet paper. When I went to go wash my hands the sink look very dusty and dirty I honestly don't think the restrooms were cleaned or stocked after I saw it which is very nasty! read more

Horrible service its disappointing how they talk to people and the customer service they provide. Multiple times I been here and always have had a bad experience. They lie and don't keep there word at all. First that they do price match then supposedly they don't. Come on target get it right for once I have had price matched on multiple different Items, numerous of times. Then, at the register I show a coupon that I had received for 10% off any purchase and they did not want to accept it like why send me emails for discounts if you won't value the discount makes no sense it wasn't even expired. This store is GHETTO!!! Every time I stop by they always catch somebody shoplifting. The last time I was there I was about to walk out the door and the security guard caught two people shoplifting practically knocking the door off the hinges and almost knocking me down to the ground. BEWARE!! Target is allowing Hawthorne P.D to run checks on your license while your shopping. I saw this olderly lady asking where her car was, and a man told her the Hawthorne PD took it. I will never go back to this target ever again! The manager and employees In customer service are very rude. They will not go above and beyond or do the bare minimum to resolve any issues. I returned four items with my receipt and tags on all of my items except for one and of course the employee made it an issue. Then the employee did two separate transactions for one return because my last item was missing tags however my receipt had every item on it that I returned. I have the products for less than a week so I thought it would be very simple to return all four items because my receipt only had four items on it. The employee shorted my refund and said I don't know why it shorted you and of course did not offer to resolve it. There plenty of parking at this store and there's a reason why - the service SUCKS!! It's clean and relatively new which is nice I suppose, but when you the employee in the department doesn't know anything about the merchandise his area's selling, wellllll, you're not doing yourself any favors Target. I'm speaking specifically about the electronics/TV area. There are several occassions, but each time the following happens - I ask the employee for some info about the product (TV, camera, etc). The employee gives me a deer-in-headlight look then reads me word-for-word the information printed out on the little price tag thingy. Fail Target, fail. read more

As I waited to be helped by the Apparel department over the phone for almost 30 minutes, I tried calling back to speak with a manager and was disconnected. After calling back several times I was connected and hung up on continuously from the Apparel department. I would've tried customer service line but no one picked up. I like this Target. When I go its always clean and its never over crowded. When I've been early, the employees were chipper and greeting me with "good morning" and smiles. I felt very welcomed. Cashiers looked grouchy; mine was more interested in the fact her co-worker was about to get off the clock. Gift card for diapers didn't trigger and even after I showed the cashier the weekly ad she was rude and acted very inconvenienced I was bringing the promo to her attention. This store is not coupon friendly. Anything extra is a 'hassle' for them; even bringing your own reusable bags seemed to bother my cashier. I will take the drive to Target in Redondo before going back to this spot. I placed an order through the restock service, if your order is at least $35.00 and is placed before 7:00pm, your order will be delivered the next day. I met all the requirements, placed my order, and received a confirmation e-mail stating delivery would be made today. After waiting all day, I received another message stating my estimated delivery date was tomorrow, August 23rd. When I contacted customer service, I was told my order had to be placed by 7:00 CST. The Target website does not specify any time zone, it states orders must be in by 7:00 pm period. To make matters worse the Representative told me she knew where I was coming from, which made no sense to me, and to wait until Friday the 23rd, and if my order did not arrive then, to call back. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me. If you cannot guarantee what you advertise, then why should I continue to do business with you? This target isn't the best that I've been to, but it's not the worst either. The store is usually clean and organized but it always seems to be out of stock of some things. The customer service isn't bad depending on the cashier or associate you get to deal with. The parking is never an issue,it has able parking spaces. Went here to return 2 games I bought, I lost the receipt; however, target has a return policy that clearly states they will accept merchandise back without a receipt in exchange for store credit on a gift card. The customer service employee allowed these 2 women to return an abundance of miscellaneous items, including electronics; however, when I approached for my return she flat out lied and said "target does not accept electronics or games for store credit." Weird, the one on Century Blvd does with no issue as long as the item is unopened. Guess I'll go to the Century location or to Walmart considering the customer service employees seem to have a stick up their asses. read more
