I really like this store. All store associates are nice except one though. There's a lady, who has her dark hair in a bun and wears glasses, in electronics who's either Hispanic or Latino, and she has a really bad attitude. If you ask for help, she sighs heavily and acts like she doesn't want to help you or even work at the store. Beware of her. Other than that the rest of the staff are nice and helpful. read more

Pretty nice for a target. Shelves look good, they have almost everything you need, good prices and reasonable selection. Helpful staff (not the friendliest in the world, though). And there's a Starbucks there; so much better than the usual hamburger/hot dogs that they have at other Targets read more

Writing this review on behalf of the PIZZA HUT inside of the target. For anyone who thinks it would be a great idea to get a personal pasta or pizza from there please DO NOT. On New Years Eve, I thought it would be a good idea to catch a good snack from there and ordered pasta and pizza and the next day I was completely sick. I had food poisoning and still have it today. So please don't do it. Save yourself! read more

I LOVE target. always clean and they have really great deals and the best Holiday decorations! its great. i love this specific location because its open until 11pm unlike most of the targets around the area that close at 10pm :) read more

My experience at a clean and well organized store turned out pretty bad at the checkout counter. The cashiers name was Casey (a guy) and was extremely rude and abrupt. I had a gift card that was only useable on certain items. When I asked him to break up the purchase (which I asked kindly) he went off very pissy and grunted and told me "it's ok noo problem" and said that probably 5 times. He also mixed cleaning sprays (with chemicals) with food in the same bags. Poor customer service and rude careless employees. read more

Love this target, but the Starbucks in there sucks. The frapachino machine never works. I've been there so many times wanting to shop with my frap and the employees always say the machine is broken. This has been going on for one year. The employees in the Starbucks don't have any customer service at all!! This is the only thing that's wrong in this store, everything else is great. This target deserves a 5 star but the Starbucks in there deserves a big fat zero! read more

Target.. what is the point of having self check out when I can't even look up my target card?! If that's the case why have self check out if I can't self assist myself. Now I have to wait on your long lines cause you don't have enough cashiers. RIDICULOUS read more

Target - Department Stores Near Me - Hackensack, New Jersey

I love Target but I find this one to be a bit on the gross side. Every other Target I go into seems to be cleaner than this one and this one in particular often has merchandise on the ground or recklessly thrown around, making it less enjoyable to shop in. I have since stopped going to this one and started to frequent another Target that is closer to the home that I moved to. read more

Target is a great store in general and this one is fine but there is a nicer one at Bergen Town Center in Paramus just five minutes away.

I have hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and felt low while shopping around target. I went to their starbucks / pizzahut location, and picked out a personal pizza sitting on their racks, but there was no one behind the counter. I and several other people were standing around looking for a cashier. The only employees in the immediate area were two working starbucks. My mother asked someone to come over there and ring me up and they said they'd "be right there". Instead, they placed a sign out that said "closed for 30 minutes". My mother and I asked them ONCE AGAIN if they could ring us up and they told us to "read the sign" with the most horrible attitude. Long story short, next time I'm going to the Clifton location. This target is clearly too cheap to hire enough employees to work both Starbucks AND PizzaHut read more

Most polite Target I've been to. Greeted politely at the door. Organized even when they are re-organizing/about to start restock. Breanna was a great help even minutes before closing. I'll skip the target closest to me to come to Hackensack. read more

I prefer this Target over the one in Bergen Town Center. They're both great, but this one stocks Chocolate Cheerios and is generally less crazy than its Paramus counterpart. This store has more parking and you can avoid the congestion that is typical in Paramus. read more

I'm a fan of this place because the place is a super store. Not many places sell food, bed/bath goods, and electronics in one place and open as early as 8 in the morning. I work the late shift. I happen to visit targets more often so I can do some quick shopping before heading home. read more

I discovered recently that this target is closer to me than the Paramus - Bergen Town Center Target. I like this one better because of one of 3 things a) either they have less customers or b) they have more cashiers or c) maybe I'm one of those people that jumps ahead to the 2nd row of cashiers - In Paramus you can easily stand online for 45 mins and that drives me insane. Since this is Bergen County it is unfortunately closed on Sundays. I wish Bergen County would get over that law already!!! read more

Good location, especially if the other larger Target doesn't have what you seeking.

Big, Clean, Friendly staff, fast service, bright, and usually fully stocked.

the lot is always full and it is very annoying trying to get parking but other than that I like the store. I love coming here early tho before it gets crowded. When it is crowded it is like a zoo here. read more

Considering there is another Target store one mile away.. This one exceeds it's expectations. The pricing is even better than the other location in the Bergen Town Center. Open until 11pm with a full grocery section. Great hours for those of us with unusual schedules. The only issue is there are insane lines that caused me to drop my purchases and leave. read more

After spending thousand$ yearly at this store, today was the last visit. Sammie, a cashier, mumbled at me to 'shut up' when I civilly asked for her name. She opened a register, ignoring customers who were already waiting in the single very slow line available, then responded with, "You should have moved then." I asked her manager, Anna, if this was normal procedure. Anna smirked and asked, "Is that it?" No, that's not it, Anna, not this time. Shopping at this Target location, you expect long, slow, mismanaged lines, often with only one, maybe two, registers operating, and this includes holiday seasons. At the same time, you'll see employees walking in circles, socializing, or on cell phones. I recently overheard an older woman on line, voicing her concern over the consequences of this store's poor service and the negative effect on jobs it could have in the local community if customers stop shopping there. She was right. Top that with a brazenly obnoxious, incompetent staff, and it's time to take my business elsewhere. Too bad, because the selection of merchandise isn't half bad, but my family and I will shop somewhere our business is appreciated and we're not subjected to lazy, ineffective staff. Target should consult the Kohl's organization to overhaul their management style. read more

It's a Target. Price and selection the same as all of them. But the lines are ridiculous unless you go right after opening or right before closing. The staff is polite, which is better than a lot of big stores. I like that they have a full "grocery" area with fresh food. Of course not nearly the selection as a grocery store, but more than enough to get the basics. read more

THE SERVICEI RECIEVED IN THE ELECTRONICS DEPARTMENT WAS DISGUSTING!!!! Iwas there earlier today, just after my shift at work as an essential worker in a local hospital. I was there for dishwasher fluid and a surge protector. I looked down the isle where the surge protectors normally were but they werent there. I asked an employee who was very nice and he told me to check by electronics where the tvs were, so I did. When I got there, however, there was an employee (white male slicked back hair a little on the heavier side) in a black shirt that said tech on it, who was overwhelmed by the number of customers there. He asking VERY aggressively where Jamal was and that he was supposed to be "outta here". So I see him with Jamal and ask excuse me, where are the surge protectors (expecting either one of them to respond) and he says back wall. So I said ok thank you sir, he didnt hear me and asked what I said I repeated myself and said thank you again and chuckled. He then got NASTY and said "why are you laughing? I see nothing funny,." I walked over picked up my item and upon leaving he was sitting on a bench inside the store in front of the register I was checking out at. I know what its like to have rough days, especially during these time. I deal with peoples lives and would NEVER treat anyone or speak to anyone in the manner in which he spoke to me. He needs to be given a course in customer care at the bare minimum. Im hoping this wasnt a racial issue, if so he needs to find a new line of work. I used to love that store but cannot see myself going back if he is still there read more

Good Target. It's far away from Paramus traffic--right on Main Street in Hackensack, and right near the Shops at Riverside and the New Bridge Landing and Anderson Street train stations. It's larger than most other Targets and has an optical shop and some other "extras". Long lines at checkout though. read more

Today I was shopping in Target in Hackensack. A wonderful young lady named Maysa was very helpful , polite and gave me great customer service. I must have looked lost because she approached me , asking if I need help. She was awesome and I got the product. read more

Love this Target! Not too crowded and great service. I usually find what I'm looking for. The prices are great!

Unfortunately, I am done with Target. It was somehow convenient for me, even though I bike 3 miles to the store, but lately somehow, it seems, that they are always out of stock on the things I buy regularly; to make things worst when today I go and find the last boxes of some of my stuff, I realize that I have left my wallet home, and what do you know? They take Samsung but not ApplePay... since they don't care much for my business ,or my time, and it seems to be about their convenience and not mine, I'll take my business elsewhere, or get it delivered by Amazon. Tired of wasting trips for nothing, time is money, and I rather spend it on companies that actually care about the customer. read more

Miserable. I placed an order online for pickup in the store. They never filled the order, then told me that I'd have to cancel the order and replace it for them to process it. The price has since changed and they won't honor the original sale price. Spoke with Norma (a manager) and about 5 other employee. All are of no help. Every time I place an order with Target, there's a problem. Buyer beware. read more

My mother and I went to Target for the pre-Black Friday event (Thanksgiving evening). Unlike Walmart, Target had their customers wait outside in the cold waiting for the store to open. They could have allowed the customers in the store and just open up the registers at 8pm but instead they chose to make people suffer in the cold to buy their merchandise. In the cold, my mother and I waited for an hour and a half on a line outside of the store that wrapped around the block from the entrance. We were originally between the first 50th or 60th customers that were on the line. There weren't any Target employees monitoring people cutting the lines. As it got closer to 8pm, we noticed at least 25 people jumping the front of the line. We had to call the police over a couple of times to complain about the cutters. My mother and I wanted to purchase a 50-inch TV that was on sale and by the time we got to the front of the store, a target employee told us they had ran out of sale tickets for the 50 inch TVs. A few minutes later, we found out they only had 32 50-inch TVs that were available and only provided 32 sale tickets. There were at least 300 people on line outside of the store and most likely there were at least 100 people that wanted to purchase a 50-inch TV. Under normal circumstances, you would think a Target store would have at between 75 to 100 of these TVs available for a Black Friday sale. I guess the managers of this store felt there wasn't any need to notify people on the lines prior to opening the store that they only had very limited amount of TVs available. Overall this Target store is poorly managed. They really do not know how to manage a store during these types of events. I would not recommend going to this store during holiday season. read more

Wish I was able to give 0 stars. Do not come here. They scheduled us for 7pm because that is when my family gets off work. They closed the camera room at 7:01 and said it couldn't be opened back up. What store makes an appointment with a customer and then denies service because they were 1 minute late?! read more

I like the store and it's convenience, but their workers need some major repair work. The store itself is usually pretty well stocked neat. Although the lines can be long, there is usually always plenty of registers that are open. I'd give it 5 stars, but the lack of respect from the workers makes it hard to want to shop there. read more

Love this target, always a pleasant staff a speedy checkout and always have what I need! Never a disappointment

I have tried to like this store but each time I go the cashiers have such a bad attitude. They make up there own rules and say anything. Yes I am a person who uses coupons and I am also a paid mystery shopper for many stores. I carry the coupon policy for every store I go into in my bag and I also have it on my phone. Today my cashier was so nasty and when her head cashier came over and told her that the coupons were okay she was still nasty. I did not get her name and she would not give it to me. However I am a middle aged , middle class women of color and I never have more than 4 like coupons and match my coupons to the product. Target please teach your cashier the true coupon policy. Please train them that if they don't know to just tell the customer they will find out and not just come up with their own Rules. Everyone knows that Coke makes Dr. Pepper !!!!!! and Pepsi makes Mountain Dew reading is fundamental it tells you on the side of the box whom it is bottled by. read more

I went to the Studio at the Hackensack, NJ location. I had the worst experience ever. When I called to make the appointment 3 weeks in advance, Jill told me that she wasnt sure if they would accommodate over 7 people at the studio and told me to call back because she had shut her system down and was leaving early that day. When I called back a few days later, Heather was surprised that Jill even said that and all the spots were gone for the required day. We got pushed into the last spot on Saturday. When we arrived for the appointment, Jill greeted us. She spent exactly 18 mins taking 9 people's group portraits. She took the worst pictures ever. She ignored all of our suggestions, did nothing to interact with the 3 children present and took pictures that were poorly lit, cropped at the shoulders and one each of every pose. That was it. When we got to viewing the pics - she took 25+ and we got only 13 because of a glitch with the camera. Out of the 13, we could only use about 4. We hated every single pic we saw. Some were downright ridiculous. Jill and the other lady agreed that they were ridiculous pics. We paid $9.99 per person for the sitting and this is what we got. We worked out a deal for the horrible experience with such a large group and walked out of there, never to return. Target Portrait Studio at Hackensack is the worst ever. Jill is the worst person behind a camera - she is not a photographer, she no sense of how pictures should be taken or how to manage and direct a sitting. She should never hold a camera. My husband is a photographer and I should know. read more
