Reasoning for the 3 stars is due to the customer service...customer service is huge for me and out of the 6 or 7 people I interacted with, only 2 were helpful and kind (one person said she was going to get some assistance and she disappeared and never came back). I was able to get what I needed and return what I didn't with no issues, but it took way more energy and effort on my part than I would've expected. read more

What's not to like about Target? This store is clean and well stocked and I've never had an issue with the employees. It's really a one stop shop where you can pick up everything from groceries to home decor, garden supplies, toys, electronics and medications. I typically use the self serve checkout and while the line can get long, it moves pretty quickly because there is always an employee available to help. read more

Holy cow. First off, I'm sure this is mostly due to short staffing so TARGET GET THESE EMPLOYEES SOME HELP, but this place was an absolute DISASTER! Every section is overflowing with stock with a majority of it being on the floor & in the way. I could barely get my cart in some isles because of stuff everywhere. I'm visiting my daughter from out of state and I was mortified by the customer service I received at this Target. I have never experienced such blatant rude behavior from a retail worker. We were in the kitchen department looking for a can opener. There was a thin, young, long haired redhead worker stocking shelves. She had a cart with her Starbucks blocking the walkway. I scooted her cart forward to get through, since there was plenty of room in the adjacent aisle for this cart to be parked. The worker snapped a mean look at me and my daughter, huffed as I pushed my cart by. She immediately snapped the cart back into the spot it was to block the aisle. While searching another shopper approached her to ask the worker a question. The worker ignored her and so the woman tried to get her attention to ask the question. The worker huffed and was clearly irritated. The shopper apologized saying she thought the employee might be wearing headphones and the employee proceeded to chastise the customer saying she wasn't wearing headphones and that the customer needed to adjust how she approaches employees so they know they need assistance!!? Wow, that customer was clearly floored by the employee's rude and blatant disregard for customer service. The customer actually stopped and stared at her dumbfounded by this incident.. There was another employee there so the customer purposefully asked the other employee for assistance. Other people were trying to get through the aisle and were asking her to move the cart and while she did it, her displeasure was evident and rude. This employee was not wearing a name tag so maybe that is why she felt empowered to treat customers in that manner. If this young woman does not like her job or people for that matter, she should not be working in retail or at least move her to the overnight stocker shift where no one has to deal with her nasty attitude. I would fire her because even though this is my story, there were multiple customers that were impacted by her display that I observed. read more

On a recent visit to this target, I was reminded why I choose to not shop at this Target location. When entering this Target, you get that same Target scent and feeling that you would get with any other Target. Think... the smell of popcorn, the impulse buy items that greet you after crossing the entryway. That shiny floor and clean open high ceiling white paint look. It sucks us in. it's when you have found what you were looking for and you go to check out that the frustration begins. I decided to check out at the one cash rap check out place that was open, as opposed to going to the self-checkout. Being that it was just a few short days before Valentine's Day, and the volume of people shopping in the store, you would have thought they would have more cash registers open. No. Just ONE manned cash register open. This Target location chooses to have multiple employees standing around having personal conversations laughing and carrying on as opposed to putting them to work actually helping their paying customers. I observed one young man with a Target name tag on just staring into space like a zombie for the duration of my wait time in line and throughout the transaction and as I was leaving. Creepy. If this had been my first time shopping at this Target, or any Target for that matter, I would have been like, what's the big deal shopping at Target, I never need to go back to this place. But, we all know Target has great little finds here in there, I picked up some very comfortable pillows for just under four bucks a piece. I just have to keep reminding myself that there's a reason I don't shop at this Target location. It's annoying. read more

I've been dressing my kids in Target clothes since they were born - and furnishing my kitchen and home with Target home goods as well - amazing how often the clearance rack has exactly what I need. Target has always been a good place to find vegan & eco-friendly cosmetics, cleaning supplies, and hygiene products. I love that! One thing that stands out to me is the freedom Target gives the employees to express themselves with piercings tattoos, artificial hair-color... Holy renovations, batman! Wow... I went inside this location recently to pick up some skincare and was shocked to see that that section looked like a department store! They have completely changed the lighting, floors, and layout of the personal care section. For better or for worse? I'm not sure yet! I'm not sure how I feel about a Target department store, but it was definitely easier on the eyes and the aisles are wide and easy to navigate. Absolute chaos. Leadership really needs to work on their skills. Shopping with three girls for school supplies and clothes. Every isle I go down is blocked by stockers with carts and baskets. There is no one who works at this Target. There's all these cashier areas with only maybe one or two cashiers. Then a self service area with just four self serve stands, and a massive line waiting for them. The Ulta area is always filthy and poorly stocked. What a terribly run place. This is an extremely busy Target. It's right on Broad Street in Short Pump, and shopping here on a Sunday afternoon is probably not the most intelligent idea. Alas, that's precisely when I last stopped in. The parking lot is fairly atrocious. It was frigid outside but I was too anxious to circle for a spot, so I parked far away in an itty bitty spot flanked by huge vehicles on either side and power-walked to the door. Such fun. Inside is the typical Target experience. Fortunately, ​the store is large enough that people aren't on top of each other. It's just obviously better to go at an off-peak time. I easily stocked up on my goods and found a check-out line that wasn't crazy long. The lady who rang me up was very sweet. I do wish Target would stop pushing their employees to nag about Red cards. I do not need another credit card. So, good: - It's a Target that sells Target-y things. And meh: - It gets mobbed based on the location. Time your visit wisely. read more

RACIST Employee. I stood in line for check out and watched the cashier provide great customer service to the two white women in front of me. She even walked their bags around and placed them in the cart for them. Now it's my turn and I'm expecting great customer service as well, but no. I don't even get a hello. A few second pass and I just greeted her myself-she mumbled a hello back. Did she walk my bags over to my cart, no. Did she offer friendly chatter, no. I didn't even get basic customer service-items bagged horribly and receipt placed on counter instead of my hand, which was open and waiting. To top it off, I'm gathering my things and hear her excitedly greet the customer behind me, and yes that customer was white. read more

Rude staff. Went in on 12/02/16 at 9:41am to purchase an Apple Watch for someone for Christmas. The guy working in the electronics department was rude and very short with me when I asked questions about the product. He didn't offer me apple care with my product or anything. $315.00 is a lot to spend in a store where the staff has shitty attitudes and couldn't careless to provide their customers with decent service. I returned the watch on my way out of the store and went to Best Buy, who had no problem answering any questions I had about the product & were very kind. This Target meets the expectations of The chain except in one area. It is clean. It is professionally staff. The merchandise is properly tended to. The restrooms are clean. All this in the busy back to school rush. 4 or 5 not too shabby. 5 is well within reach by having enough cashiers available. Target is known for opening lines at the first hint of a back up you guys were behind the 8 ball tonight. Perhaps, a rare exception. Keep striving forward !!! read more

This Target can be a disarray thanks to Short Pump traffic that plows through. Recently my trip was very satisfactory though because I went in on a hunt for pet sweaters for my cat and to give as a gift. They have launched such a cute collection this year which includes items for both dogs AND cats. Usually cats are never included, but that's just a side rant. Anyways, I was unable to find the correct size, but online, it said the size was available. So, I approached a worker and they checked different aisles as well as back stock, and they were able to locate what I needed. There was no toilet paper on the rolls but the floor was covered with empty rolls and paper bits. There was pee and poop on all of the toilets. The soap was gone and the mirrors were filthy. Came in this morning to find something cute. And I went straight to the clearance rack where I found 2 of the cutes ruffled pocket dresses. One was grey and the other was the dye khaki pink and yellow. Black young lady (Makayla) with long braids came over and began scanning like she was working but watching me so I went over to the scan by the try on area to check the price. Here she comes again, stopped by the men's department and here she is again, walked by the ladies active area and her she goes again. I'm pissed by now!!!! So I went ahead and checked out. I asked for a manager and her name was Taqeela she was very nice and I voiced my frustration with her and she advices the didn't have anyone on the list prevent team that fit that description and I advised I know she was scanning stuff probably was supposed to be stocking or working but instead she found me to interesting. She got on the radio and stated she would speak with her about her actions. I can't believe I was profiled!!!??? Just sad and pissed !!!! First BAD experience in Glen Allen, VA area. Target is my go to place because there's lots of lines open to assist the influx of customers purchasing items. The cashiers are quick so the wait isn't long in the lines. Target isn't overpriced. Their prices are comparable to Wal-Mart. I've noticed that the prices are within cents of each other. Target has a smartphone app Cartwheel in which you can clip coupons. You can check Target's website to see if your neighborhood Target has a particular item that you want or need. That's been very helpful to me as I can check the Target near home, work, or church and not have to waste gas and time and the item is sold out. Thank you!! The staff greet the customers throughout the store as they're walking through the store working. The store and bathrooms are clean. They offer photo printing and have a registry for expectant mothers and weddings. read more

This is not my usual Target but I had to write a review. I went into this store after looking at Homegoods and Pier One for a new work desk. They were a bit pricey at those locations and weren't anything amazing so I decided to run to this Target to check them out. Sure enough I found a desk I loved!! I had an employee offer to help me get the desk box I chose in the cart which was nice cause the box was pretty large, and no short of 4 other people ask if i needed help with the box to my car. For service alone I would recommend this Target! read more

I was in this Target a couple of days ago shopping for an internship I had. After I checked out, the security guard stopped me to ask to look at my receipt, which I was fine with doing so. The Target on Broad is the most unorganized store I have ever been too. The clothes are always off the racks and items are always in random places. On top of that the workers are extremely rude.. I was leaving Target today and was stopped by the security guard to check my receipt, I had no problem doing so, but as I was walking out I turned around and saw a man behind me also leaving the store, and the security card did not check his receipt. I am 18 years old, this is probably why they stopped me, and I thought this was extremely unfair and sexist. If the workers are going to check one persons receipts they need to check everyone's. When I called Target to complain about this incident, at least three times, they did not even pick up. I will not be returning to this Target... read more

This is a review of the returns department and Starbucks. I went to return an item that I received as a gift. Granted, it was a long time ago and I did not have a receipt. I know that Target will give store credit, so I was prepared to receive that. I went in, and told the guy behind the counter that I received this as a gift for my daughter but we did not need it. (It was a baby toy that she has grown out of, but never opened) His first response was rude by asking "Are you sure it's even from here?" I said that I was pretty sure that it was. He scanned it and immediately said "It says item not found, it's not from here" and just wrote me off and did nothing else to assist me. I am 99% sure it is from Target and is probably just old and not in their system anymore. The rudeness he displayed was appalling. He did return the item I recently purchased and had all of the order information for, but was still rude. Starbucks - TAKES FOREVER! They had two people working, and a line of 4 people in front of me. One guy decided his time was better spent cleaning pumps than assisting the overwhelmed woman who was taking orders and payments and making drinks. Luckily the two people in front of me just wanted cake pops for their kids and there was nothing to be made. Either get more help during a rush or have better time management. read more

I would say that this is a nice Target location. It is pretty new, and has a lot to offer. It was actually remodeled recently and it looks great. The staff seems really helpful and I have never had a problem with them. In fact, there was one time when I was looking for this really particular top that I had seen in a magazine and I showed a person who worked there what it looked like and she knew exactly where it was. I was incredibly impressed. Even the little cafe area in the front has pretty good food. The only complaint I can think of is that there always seems to be empty shelves, like they are always running out of stuff. I guess it is because it is a pretty popular location (it is in Short Pump) but it still sucks. Overall, I would definitely recommend it. read more

I like this target. The set up is slightly different than the one closer to my house. Its neat and open, nothing i hate moe than a cramped store. They seem to have it all covered in here with the mini grocery store in here. I have yet to go to a target when im in a rush and just need read but its nice to know if I want to I can get it there. read more
