Contacted Target Glass for a window replacement. My windows are old and this one was broken. I wanted a window that went up and down. I learned it's a double hung window. Dave was aware I have a special needs young man and is sensitive to noise and strangers. Dave and his team were quick, professional, and very considerate to my son. The window was better then I expected. I was blown away at how easy the window moved up and down. Came with a screen, too. OK, I've never bought a new window, obviously. I give them props for being on time, super cool guys, with great workmanship. Now I want the rest of my windows done. We also received a quote for a shower enclosure for a future install. To start the New Years, we got a pellet/BB gun shot through our front window. It most likely happened during NYE. It was unfortunate. When I noticed the hole/crack, I was going through yelp to find a contractor that can help replace the window. Target is quick in responding with what I need and was able to quote me over email. After the estimate which was very reasonable, they send a technician out to check out the window that needs to be replaced just to make sure there are no issues when it is being worked on and to gather the final specs. When Target Glass came out to replace the window, it took about 30-45mins. They also took covid steps and making sure masks are being worn. The feedback I would give is: 1. When the customer makes an appointment and you come out earlier than the time slot that was given. Please give the customer a call. The technician came out an hour earlier and luckily I did not have to be home for them to measure since the window is outside. The second time they came out, they were on time and gave us a call before arriving. 2. When the final measurements were done, I haven't heard back from the office staff to see what the next step would be or at least let me know that the window is being ordered and expected date would be XX-XX-XX. We purchased our home without noticing that there was a hole in one of the window panes in our living room (it wasn't on the appraisal, either, so it was a "pleasant" surprise). We let it go without repair and had it on our repair "to do" list. One balmy and humid day in March 2021, I noticed that the crack had not only grown bigger, but a shard of glass was about ready to pop right out. It was late in the evening, and without anyone who could come out at that hour, my husband and I tried taping it up and ended up dropping the shard which shattered inside our home. At the time, I was pregnant and due anytime, and we had 2 children already, so we knew we needed to get this window fixed ASAP. After a call for recommendations for window repair in our community Facebook group, I was referred over to Target Glass & Window. The entire process from obtaining a bid to scheduling the repair was the most thorough and organized process I have ever been through. If I could give a rating higher than 5, I definitely would. I cannot say enough great things about Target Glass & Window. My wife and I are pretty picky when choosing contractors and others to do repairs or install in our home. Target arrived at my house for a consultation about glass shower doors for my newly-remodeled bathroom. They took one quick look and insulted my bathroom configuration. They said there was only one possible option they could do for my shower doors, despite me seeing other setups on their own website. They told me they would email me a quote within a couple of days for their one option. I've called them 3 times and still no quote, 3 weeks later. I then booked another consultation with another glass vendor, received a quote on the spot during the visit, and had a perfectly crafted and installed shower door setup within a week. I'm glad there are other companies that care about their potential clients' experience, but it doesn't seem that Target is one of them. read more

One evening I opened the window in my house and it came off track. I figured out that I needed a new balancer and started making calls to see if I could get the job done. Response wasn't positive from a couple places because they don't want to deal with such a small job, but Dave from Target glass was able to come over within a couple days to take a look at my window. I had 5 double pane windows that the seal had failed between the panes. They were foggy and one looked like water was trapped inside. I called and gave the measurements, and an estimate was given. It seemed reasonable as 3 were very large and tempered glass. After a representative came and made final measurements, I paid 25% of the final cost. Within a week the panels were made, a very efficient crew installed them and hauled away the old panels. The crew wore masks and and adhered to Covid requirements, and did an excellent job. I paid the remaining 75% at the job completion. I'm very satisfied with Target Glass and am considering replacement by them of several sliding doors that have issues in the future. read more

Target Glass replaced about 10 glass windows from our old house. Dave and Josh were fantastic: a hardworking, quirky duo who undoubtedly care about the quality of their work and have a ton of experience. They gave us a very fair estimate and did a great, efficient job with the removal of our old windows and installation of our new windows. In my estimation, they went above and beyond with their work. Here's some examples: adding some touch-up paint to a windowsill that was already having some paint flake off; taking care in thoroughly vacuuming the work area of sawdust after they were done; even moving our furniture back to its exact original spots. I'm grateful they work in this area. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again for any window needs. read more

Dave and Josh did a wonderful job replacing double pane windows which, over the years facing the sun, had a problem with the molding expanding and intruding in between the double glass. I was mortified by the estimate Home Depot gave me to replace the sashes, but Target Glass replaced the double pane glass in the sashes which was covered by warranty for a super reasonable price. They were efficient and friendly and I wish I'd done this years ago, but was resigned to living with it. I needed 3 large bathroom wall mirrors cut. I contacted 6 glass companies. One said the job was too large, two said I had to bring the mirrors to their shop, one said they would pick up the mirrors and cut them in their shop for an exorbitant fee, another one said I would do better by buying new mirrors from them, and one repeatedly promised to come out but never kept his appointments. Then I found Target Glass & Window. Hallelujah! They replied to my e-mail within a day, came out the next day, cut the 3 large mirrors right in my driveway, and did so for a very reasonable fee! I was floored by their professionalism. I cannot say enough good things about Dave Murdock. This man is an absolute gem and the consummate professional. Old school trained and very highly skilled, he hand cut the mirrors exactly to my specifications. Dave performs his craft with exacting precision. He cares and he takes pride in his work. It was a pleasure to watch him work. His skilled associate Josh also deserves high praise. Their teamwork in taking these large mirrors off the wall and moving them down the stairs was amazing. Josh cleaned and polished all the mirrors for me after they were rehung on the walls. Two really competent men, very friendly and professional. I wish there'd be more like them. Update to address the business owner's reply: I'm glad they chose to publicly blame me for their company's unorganized and ungodly slow process. It will serve their would be clients to know what they can expect when dealing with them. Since parting ways with Target Glass I've dealt with two more window replacement companies and both were able to come out, measure (correctly the first time), go over all of the options (Target expects you to be an expert), etc., in one sitting and provide correct quotes (Target takes days to provide quotes riddled with errors) with the correct window counts (Target couldn't figure out how many windows I needed) by the next morning. Anyone reading this review is welcome to contact me directly for a referral to either or both of these companies. --- I've been dealing with Target Glass for over a month and a half. I spent two weeks getting competitive quotes, then decided to go with them because they seemed like the best value. The next three weeks were spent going back and forth over measurements, manufacturers and quote after quote after quote due to multiple errors (and, since only one person "can work the computer program" you have to wait days for a quote to be generated). I had to miss work twice because they had to send different people two separate times to take measurements, (apparently the first guy didn't know what he was doing because the second guy changed more than half of the window dimensions). So, finally after waiting two days for my final quote I called and said "please get me the quote you promised two days ago, I need to get this order placed now if the manufacturer is going to take three weeks to make the windows". They promised me a quote asap. They didn't call; Instead, they waited until 6pm on a Friday night to me a blank email with no subject line, no text in the body and a PDF attachment which contained a Dear John letter... 5 weeks, many phone calls and two visits later I get a letter that said sorry, go find someone else... HUGE waste of time. read more

This was a HORRIBLE experience with some very unprofessional people. They replaced my bedroom windows which was fine. Then I asked for a bid to do my patio sliders. They provided a bid but when I was ready the bid had more than doubled. I questioned the price and Dave explained the rise in all costs related to Covid etc. I waited longer to save up more money then contacted them back saying I'm ready to move on the doors. They completely ghosted me!! I waited 2 months for a response, then followed up, then got an email that said they would not be taking on this project at this time plus they said they would not quote on it further. I guess Dave took issue to my asking about the huge change in cost....wow! Do not do business with this company. There's way too many other options out there to get the work done. They made fantastic suggestions that ended up being perfect for my circumstances. Their prices were much better than anticipated. From the free in-home estimate to the completion of the window installation, Dave and his crew were courteous, friendly, and professional. We had all five single pane windows on our townhome replaced with double pane, low-e Anlin windows. We first asked Dave about Milgard windows, but after letting him know our budget, Dave worked with us to find comparable window replacements. He also spent time going over the different types of windows and whether or not we wanted them to open on the left or right. Not a single detail was missed. When the windows arrived, Dave e-mailed me to set up an appointment for the installation. On the day of the appointment, he and his crew were ready to go to work. They installed all five windows in one day and cleaned the entire work area. We were worried about our new carpets getting dirty, but Dave had large canvas covers and made sure they covered every inch of the work area to keep the carpets clean. Just like the other reviews I have to give 5 Stars to Target Glass. I have some older Milgard windows in my house and one broke. My children looked sheepishly as I conducted interrogations about the broken window but they wouldn't fess up. Anyway, I called Lori from Target Glass to see if they could replace the pane and they were awesome. Dave came down, measured the window, and a few days later was back with the replacement. It only took him about 10 Minutes to install the new pane and cleaned up appropriately. I was so impressed that I ordered some glass from them for my office and again they were prompt, courteous, knew their glass and had really reasonable pricing. I sent a message to Target Glass & Window from Yelp and got a response from Dave within a few hours with a precise quote based on the estimate measurements that I provided. I called in, submitted my request and someone came in to take measurements and provided me an official quote the same day which was same as what Dave had provided earlier. I ordered the glass and on the day of delivery, it was installed, cleaned and ready to go. The installation team also installed a wooden molding on one side to hold the glass safely at a nominal cost. Basically, hassle free installation process. I would definitely keep them in mind for all my personal needs and refer them to friends and family. read more

I called on Tuesday and spoke with Lori, I let her know I had a broken window and I didn't have a tape measure but had an idea of how big the window was, Lori said not to worry about it and proceeded to ask me a few questions and gave me a quote (which was very reasonable after getting some outrages quotes), she let me know someone would be calling me to schedule a visit. A couple of hours later Dave called and let me know that he would have his guys stop by the next day, which was perfect. On Wednesday one of the installers called me to let me know they'd be over in 30 minutes. I unfortunately didn't get the installers names, but both were very professional and took care of my window in less than an hour. The process from beginning to end was very easy and stress free. This is how it's supposed to be: you call and ask questions, confirm then place orders, wait for the vendor to call and schedule for installation, and they come to your house and install your windows perfectly. Of course we worry that it never works as it's supposed to. With Target Glass, you'd be surprised how smooth things can be. We recently added a second bathroom to our home as part of a remodel. We contacted 4 glass companies to order a shower door. One said they don't service the 510 area code (really?), two came out and measured but never got back to us, and one was a no show. In desperation, I reached out to our San Lorenzo community. Almost all the responses recommended Target Glass. The owner himself reached out to me. Turns out he is a fellow San Lorenzo resident!
