Very disappointed in Target Customer Service. I purchased 2 video games from Target on Sunday and wanted to return on Friday. Unused or opened. The response was that the receipt said they were not returnable so there was nothing they could do. I just want to say that there are no signs near the product and the cashier did not tell me they were final sale. So there is nothing telling customers what they cannot return until they have already paid!! Then you need to stand there and read all the lines on your receipt. There was no interest in helping me as a customer they just told me about all the scammers out there, as if they were calling me a scammer!! Their answer to the problem is to punish the customer and not address the problem to protect the customer. What has happened to our society?! Buyer Beware! This is a very bad business practice! This target has been steadily declining in safety, particularly on a Friday night and this branch has done nothing to attempt to fix the very obvious issue of having too many teenagers hanging out and using it as a theme park. It has gotten to the point where I do t feel safe brining my 4 year old there to shop on Friday afternoon: I wouldn't recommend going inside in the evening, there have been stabbing and fights in the parking lot reported recently as well. read more

This is a good solid Super Target option. The store is clean and the staff are helpful. They usually have everything I need in stock, so if I'm looking to avoid multiple shopping trips they're a go-to. The downside is they have so much good merchandise at reasonable prices that I always end up buying more than I plan to (not a downside for Target I'm sure!). Went in for kitty litter and some other mundane necessities and rolled out with a cart full of Easter decor and candy, a couple new tops and some products from the in-store Ulta beauty supplies. They do offer curbside delivery so you can order ahead and then swing by and pick it up - but where's the fun in that?! Parking can be swamped, especially on the weekends but they have a huge lot at this Target so you're sure to get a spot - and some extra exercise. read more

Have been here more than once. I can't believe this, is where I used to hike in the woods. This area has developed at a rapid rate. In a way this is good, but yes I do miss these simple things. Target here is decent. I do like that they have just about everything. Went in today looking at coffee makers. Still have some research to do. Nice employees and a clean, organized store. It's huge! Horrible. Consistently horrible. Shelves are always bare. Cosmetics are always tested when open or broken when sealed. They just do not care. Product releases are delayed because they don't want to stock the shelves. This is made obvious by the employees on the floor every day stocking one nail polish per 5 minutes. They claim items that aren't useable are marked as damaged but this obviously isn't true, as seen in my photo below. Before you say "shut up Karen" I used to work for target and this is not the standard we were held to. It was much higher. This particular Super Target is located in the Gateway plaza and is pretty big! My hubs and I stopped by while we were in the area to pick up some craft items. While they do have a variety, some items were out-of-stocked. They're bargain bins also seem to have more of a selection, such as colorful mason jars with straws, mini easel boards, and other fun things that teachers can appreciate adding to the classroom. Cashiers have always been friendly and efficient in checking us out. Will not be shopping here again. The cashier at customer service was rude and seemed to hate her job. She even mockingly said " you're welcome " when I thanked her for her help thinking she might just be having a bad day. Nope, just rude. The icing on top was my encounter with Julie. Getting told I was annoying for using a $10 promo after spending $80 and using it toward a $200 purchase was awkward but what really was horrible was having her cough all over my groceries and baby products. I asked her if she was okay because she wouldn't stop coughing and she jokingly replied that she had bronchitis for over a month and had already given it to another co worker with a low immune system. Clearly blaming the coworker for her health issues and not being responsible for herself. I can understand working while you're sick but not even wearing a mask or using hand sanitizer? I stopped here on a road trip on the way back to DC. The configuration of the store was confusing to me, but I guess that's just because the stores back home tend to have a different general layout? It took me a while to find things, and some of the items I needed were not in stock, including some basic produce. But checkout was a breeze and they had Starbucks for my caffeine needs to finish the journey home. read more

I've been to this Super Target a few times poking around - I've never bought anything until last weekend. I first went here to buy the Toaster Oven my mother wanted for Christmas. But they were out of it. They even went to the trouble to check in the back to see if they had any more. None. Last weekend I bought my Christmas wrapping paper, bows, ribbons, tags, and a Santa hat here. I noted that the wrapping paper I had selected had the words printed on the label "Made in China." So I looked around to see if I could find some wrapping paper labeled "Made in USA." So I swapped out for that paper. Unfortunately, everything else I had in my shopping cart was labeled the same way, and there were no alternatives. Clean store, well laid out, fairly organized and uncluttered, and most of the store staff were friendly and helpful. Oh, and there is a Starbucks inside here! read more

Went to target today and while waiting in line, all the systems went down. We waited in line for an hour and a half. We had already spent two hours shopping and didn't want to have to start all over. The store manager(?) was awful and rude. Wouldn't update any customers about what was going on. I understand it's not the managers fault it happened, but she was not pleasant to deal with and talked over you and wouldn't listen to the cashiers when they tried to ask questions as well. I want to leave a five star review for our cashier, Khadijah(hope the spelling is correct). She was so apologetic and very kind. She worked very hard to help us. She ended up typing in every item we were purchasing. She is the only reason I'd ever go back. read more

I love Target and Super Targets are even better. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and the parking lot had plenty of parking. In the northern Virginia this can be unheard of. But even so the parking lot connects you to so many other businesses so you really can't complain Anyway, I really liked this Target because it seemed they have a lot of clearance items. Being a cheap ass.... I mean frugal person this is a major plus. Also they have free samples. Chill target not bad.. two complaints though. Fruit goes bad so easily here I went to go grab some strawberries and half of them were just drowning in mold. Only thing super about this target is how inconveniently laid out it is. I understand the store is renovating, but it seems extremely disorganized. Household supplies are on the opposite end as kitchen supplies. Cleaning supplies are in various locations. None of the locations match up on the app. For example, we were told hummus was in an aisle that's not even a refrigerated aisle. Not to mention there's a huge dons jons portable bathroom right out front of the main entrance... really? Just had higher expectations for the target brand. read more

Just called to check on an in store pick up as item was unavailable online. Unfortunately for me as a ridiculously popular child's toy, they are out of stock at this time. HOWEVER the young lady that assisted me not only checked for the item at other store locations but also checked different online options via amazon etc AND gave me the time to call back as they get truck deliveries every day so I could check back on the next shipment. She could've just said sorry we're out. But she went above and beyond. Also-every time I'm there it's clean, attendants are helpful and kind. As a side note I did work there for a time while I was pregnant with my daughter and they were such good managers to work for. (The corporate leaves something to be desired) I got zero maternity leave and had to go back to work 2 weeks later-they said if I wanted to keep my job it was up to the manager. Luckily I had angel managers but I had bills to pay so it was back to work. So target itself as a company may suck a little bit. But this particular location? 5 all the way. read more

I stopped by this location & it's arguably the 2nd best after Manassas West on this end of NoVA. it was fairly busy but I had a return & a price match to do. The associate, Vaughn helped me w/my complicated transaction. He was very nice. I never felt rushed. I had him stay almost 10 mins over the time he was supposed to get off. I never would've known, had I not overheard him telling his coworker that it was time for him to go as I was walking away. I also had to stop at the electronics counter. it was swarming w/people & there was only ONE associate! I believe his name is Moe. That's the real reason for the 4 stars because it was unfortunate he had to be there by himself. it was about 5 people waiting for help & once again, he didn't rush me. He helped me find what I was looking for offline & even helped me use the gift cards I had. They deserve recognition which is why I made a point to write down their names & name drop when I got the chance! other than that the location is good coming from Warrenton lol read more

I just have to write this review! I stopped into Target to order a last minute cake for my mother-in-laws 75 th birthday. I didn't really have high expectations with only 48 hours to get it done. I told the baker, her name is Rahila Rohani, that I needed something special and I described what I wanted. She let me taste the new icings that they had and offered her opinion on decorations. Again, I didn't expect fabulous so I went on my way and scheduled pick up for 48 hours later. I went in today to pick up the cake and I was wowed. I couldn't believe how beautiful the cake was and how much care Rahila put into it, she had made a special box for it and was so proud of her work. I can't say how sweet she was and how impressed I was for this 26.00 cake. I would highly recommend her for your next cake. Thank you Rahila. read more

Very mediocre experiences here. My issue is, no one ever takes responsibility for issues. You'll be passed to other employees and NONE will offer an apology, which goes a long way with disgruntled customers. After dealing with 5 times of encountering a completely empty hot case at lunch time, I finally went to guest services to ask (politely) why it was always empty. They first tried telling me the truck didn't deliver any. I saw it with my own eyes in the fryers not packaged up yet. Unfortunately the deli worker was nowhere to be found so I went to customer service to seek help. I'm not hard to please. In the end I did get what I was trying to purchase, but I consider the customer service very lackluster as they don't want to deal with you, which is obvious, and offer zero apology for your inconvenience. I'd hit the other location, Manassas West, if you want hot food items as they're always stocked or have someone to tell you when they'll be ready. read more

All the complaints you see about this Target is bc people were so impatient with the fact that Target was under renovation. I'd be walking through Target and would literally hear people complaining that they couldn't find x,y, and z. Like, you see that they're under renovation. Calm down. Anywho, this Target's renovation is FABULOUS! I love that they chose Gainesville's Target to be the biggest Target reno in the country. Such a nice setup, clean, and so pretty. Ok so to be fair this Target is currently being remodeled so not everything is going to be perfect. I walked in today and was totally surprised by the new layout. I've been coming here for years but today was the first time I've been back in about 2 months. They definitely are switching things around. So far from what I saw today, the gift card/office/school supplies section seemed pretty much done and it looked great. Way more organized than before. The home section looked good as well. The mens clothing section was hot mess. I guess they're still trying to figure that part out. The women's section looked a lot better and I appreciate the fact that there's a pretty big section for plus size. The new Starbucks inside has definitely had a makeover for the better. It's a lot bigger and it looks more sleek. One thing I can already tell I HATE is the fitting rooms. Don't get me wrong, it got upgraded with the paint job and the mirrors however the lighting is completely horrible. I could barley see myself in there. They definitely need to add more lighting because right now, it's really dark. I also want to add that just like every other Target I've gone to lately, there appears to only be one register open. It's actually getting pretty ridiculous at this point. Pretty soon it will all just be self checkout. Overall, I feel like this Target has a few kinks they need to work out. The store itself has a nice layout which looks clean and presentable but it is the employee interaction which leads me to give only one star. We went to the return section because we had a box of size 5 unopened diapers and some girl infant clothing still on the hang out with tags that were a gift to us. Our baby is only a size one so he will be waiting quite some time to fit into a size 5. We just wanted to return the size 5 for a size one so we can have some diapers for him. And the female clothing well obviously we had a boy so no need for that either. Because it was a gift and we had no receipt the employees were only willing to give us 1/3 of the retail price that they are going to put it back on the shelf for. Even after speaking with the manager who I know for a fact can override this I only got $18 in store credit for over $50 worth of brand new merchandise. I've never experienced anything like this at a target ever before. We had to return a boatload of brand new female baby clothing to target because we had a boy instead of a girl and without question the other target (which was in California) returned everything at retail price with store credit. It is clear that the management at this specific target could care less. I'm extremely disappointed with their lack of service and understanding. read more

Ladies... If you are a plus size you are a non person. The clothing department is not in the same area as women's clothing. The things they have are butt ugly and depressingly no fashion in the least unless boxy is your thing. I thought since revamping the store from years ago the plus size section would improve... It is actually the same plus with little selection and even poorer style. The plus size section size is a joke compared to the other ladies sizes and I find that extremely offensive. Not coming back. Love this Target location! Utilized this location for many years. Seen a lot of changes over the years. Some good, some bad but mostly with customer service. I love their red card, circle rewards and gift cards for buying quantity. Before Covid-19 I would give this store a 5 star rating. Customer Service improved significantly and always eager to help if needed. Since Covid-19 I do not know as I have not shopped in this location due to a move to Central Virginia. I miss this store as it became home to me for 20 years. read more

I enjoy going to this target much more than the one on RT 28... The only thing I can't stand about this target, is if I have to go to the bathroom and I can't hold it and have to use their bathrooms, I feel like I need to burn my clothes afterwards... The bathrooms look like someones bowels exploded on the floor, walls, ceiling....... I mean come on women of target... did you pee to stand up? How is it all over the toilet seat?? How is your fecal matter on the stall door?!?! How is it that there is a crap load of "pubic" looking hair all over the seat too? What did you do? Have a disgusting party in there??? did you wipe your bottom on the door? And any given time I have ever been in those restrooms, they look like they were cleaned a week ago... They do not smell fresh, clean etc. I even told a target team member and someone went into "clean" the bathroom, which I didn't think the teenager was going to so I went back in 30 minutes later to check and it was still as nasty as before. Toilet paper everywhere, water everywhere on the floor...Bloody toilets.. I don't blame target for the nasty costumers that can't flush a toilet or clean up after themselves (if you sprinkle when you tinkle please be neat and wipe the seat) but I do blame target for the bathrooms not being cleaned even after I told someone about it, and I also blame target for not monitoring the bathrooms for cleanliness more closely as well as no air fresheners.... I love target! Well, this is a super target and right across from our house, so convenient and I do pretty much all my shopping here. They honor coupons and have coupons on their website that you can print out and use. I use a lot of recyclable bags too, and I think they take off like 5 cents per bag used, so I save a little more that way. I literally can get anything here. I got a points card for my boyfriend's Xbox, a DVD, decent pair of slacks for work, socks, greeting cards, my prescriptions, sunglasses, not to mention my whole grocery list.
