I placed a drive up order that included a bunch of bananas. I didn't inspect them all closely until I got home. One was not good (others were bruised as well so they aren't the quality I expect but I initially called about the one banana). The first photo was of the entire bunch and the sticker with the order number near one of the bruised bananas. The second picture is the banana of most concern since it appears to have something unidentified that compromised through the peel I called customer service to complete what I would have presumed was an easy fix: simply credit 29¢ to my account. Instead they informed me that it was IMPOSSIBLE to do so unless I returned the banana to the store. I explained I just got home and it was rush hour. They said I should keep the bad banana until I can return it!! I find it absolutely ludicrous that this would be the expectation. And I find it completely unbelievable that Target is simply unable to give me a 29¢ credit without me driving back into town after who knows how long to present a single piece of fruit which will be promptly discarded. I was told by corporate that only the store itself could provide a refund and it was suggested that I contact the store. But their Guest Services desk (and every other department) simply rings incessantly. So now my complaint is no longer about a single piece of produce, but it's now about the very poor customer support both at the corporate level and this local store level. I loved this target!! Spacious and at a great location. Huge free parking lot right by the Hudson River which is a nice view with restaurants nearby. The only inconvenience is that the store, like all others in Bergen county, is not open on Sundays due to the Blue Law. And that explains why the area can get very busy on Saturdays. Love the hours in December gets extended and the store is open at 7am!! How convenient if you live in the area and can shop when the store is empty. There is a Starbucks inside the store. Staff is friendly and store is well stocked. Not sure why the rating is low but come check it out if you are in the area. read more

I like this Target location for grocery shopping and come here often due to convenience. They have plenty of parking and the grocery section is pretty big compared to some other Target stores. I like the products selection and I also like the Target Good and Gather brand. It's usually cheaper and still tastes good. The only downsides about this location is that they're closed on Sunday and they don't have a lot of registers open (it's almost exclusively self checkout). There's plenty of free parking though and you can do order pick up here. read more

My teenage son and I frequented this Target store in Edgewater, NJ, when we were temporarily residing at the nearby Comfort Inn which is also very conveniently located. We both really like this Target as it was easy for us to find whatever we needed to buy. We had just packed and moved out of the apartment we sold in Fort Lee, NJ. In the haste of clearing out our personal effects from the apartment in order to prepare it for the arrival of the new owners of said apartment, we accidentally packed essentials like underwear, pjs, socks, gym attire and toiletries in the shipment to the other state we were going to relocate to. We were happy to find suitable underwear, pjs, socks, gym attire and toiletries at this Target. Also, we bought reading material and snacks. In addition, the people at the cash registers at the checkout stands were all friendly and helpful. read more

I stop inside this location very often. It's a solid Target store - well maintained, stocked, clean, etc. Plus, tip if you are walking the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway, you can hop inside here and use their bathrooms with no issue should you need. The Starbucks inside is pretty good, too; the baristas make legit drinks there. Recommended! read more

I went here to use a giftcard and this is the second time a gift card is being shown as "invalid." It's unfortunate because I dont have an issue with this place, but its time consuming and annoying to call customer service, explain my situation, have them agree there were errors with funding the cards, and waiting a few weeks for replacements in the mail. I understand mistakes happen but their gift cards dont work. Be aware when purchasing these as gifts, ive told family & friends to just get me giftcards from different stores at this point. read more

definitely not one of my favorite targets. Before dinner I decided to stop in to pick up a few things, and basically everything I needed was either dirty on the shelf or out of stock. The lines were also really long as well, I will give it though to the staff they were pushing along the lines and keeping the lines organized. I would skip out on this target and just drive a little further to a better one. read more

This target store and the one in Bergen town center make me dislike the company. I can conceptually understand why some people like it but in reading the reviews I am reassured I'm not the only one seeing empty shelves everywhere! I needed help finding a pretty common household item and found a woman nearby stocking shelves, so I asked her where I could find it. She only spoke Spanish, fine, you can't help me. I turned the corner and found another woman stocking shelves and asked her if they sold what I was looking for. She told me she doesn't work there... Ok, Whatever... I kept it moving and didn't find anyone else until I reached the registers so I checked out, because it seems all the employees there are too! The woman at the register was obnoxious and it kind of bothered me that she didn't ask if I found everything ok because I hadn't. It doesn't take a lot of effort to ask how the shopping experience was. Instead it makes it seem like all they care about asking is to open a credit card. I hope it gets better. read more

At first I thought the store was closing, but as it turns out it's just horrendous management. The water section is empty, recently they were completely out of paper towels. Online inventory is completely inaccurate - they have nothing in-store. Not even diapers. Normally I wouldn't complain about something like this, but the area is a metro one so there's no excuse for this. Lack of inventory movement is a lie, lack of data isn't possible (it's packed all day, everyday), and the customer base is young families and couples for the most part so demographic isn't a thing. I cannot for the life of me figure out why this store isn't handled better. If you're looking to buy something, check out the north Bergen store. Not only are they full-stocked, but the staff actually acknowledges your existence. Albeit, it might not be the BEST interaction, but sure beats going to a store where you feel the apocalypse is looming any second. read more

I'd like to mention an important point: A lot of these reviews are from people who expect the employees or the company to wipe their a$$ for them. A lot of, "But they didn't say how was my experience this one time! Ugh! How dare they. Do YoU KnOw WhO I Am?!". A LOT of those people say they live up the street from this Target or across the street, etc. Not shocked. A lot of the rude people when I shop are from Edgewater because of how entitled those people feel. They are even rude to you in any store, really. It's a freaking Target. Not Tiffany's. Not Gucci. It is a big store with a lot going on all at once. If you don't have the time to shop there, THEN DON'T SHOP. It's simple. Nothing more annoying than standing in line and someone is trying to pick a fight with those poor employees. I came to browse, buy something and get out. That's it. Too many people are used to demanding to be worshipped by others because they got no attention from their parents as a kid. We get it, just calm down. If you saw a shampoo for $1.99 and total is $2.05 because of tax, just throw it to the side and let me buy my crap. This Target is fine. This Target is cool because: 1) It's near NYC, and it's easy to get to from the West Side if you have a car 2) Unlike some Targets (um .. Whitestone, Queens?) - people here don't steal your cart 3) Plenty of parking 4) Near Pathmark, Mitsuwa, Trader Joe's, golf range, BBBY, etc (you can do all sorts of shit in addition) This Target is meh because: 1) Lots of traffic, so shit gets sold out fast at times (esp stuff on sale) 2) I find this parking lot annoying at times due to asshole NJ drivers and people who don't look when they drive 3) Bathrooms are vile. Target leaves a lot to be desired in Customer Service. The store staff is ineffective, this store is always messy and it's impossible to ever find anyone to help you. Last straw for Target came today when I tried to escalate a store issue to Customer Service. Was on hold for 45 minutes when a supervisor finally got on; she was extremely unhelpful and smug. With Target's higher price points, terrible customer service, clear disorganization and lack of management, it's no wonder that the Walmarts and Bed Baths of the world are kicking their can. Are you trying to close this location down? I looked for numerous items only to have bare shelfs except for the chip aisle that was over stocked and being stocked by two different employees. I looked for meat alternatives and found two gardein products and the rest were Morningstar products that are vegetarian (contain milk and egg). I use to frequent this target a lot more often. A few years ago they redid the store so I'm not as familiar with the layout. The staff is always very helpful and I've never had a problem here. It can, however, get crowded due to the fact it is in a prime location in Edgewater near many other retail stores. I'm sure I'll be shopping here again in the future. read more

Large store, big selection. came here for Black Friday. The store opened early on Thursday and remained opened over night. We thought it was something to do after a thanksgiving dinner... Deals were mainly TVs and 40% of apparel. Drones were on sale too. This was my first time Black Friday shopping experience and I must say that I expected crowds and people lining up as they get knocked off their feet to get into the store. There was none of that. The store had some people in it but it wasn't crowded. After making some impulsive purchases, I came back with the receipts and returned them next day without a problem. read more

Like most people I am a huge target fan. So I am sad to have to write a less than 5 star review. My biggest complaint is there are always stocking carts left throughout the store in very inconvenient places. Sometimes you cannot even get down an aisle as a large cart is blocking the way and no employee in site. I also commonly see regular shopping carts used for stocking items left alone messily. With the above statement you would think that would mean the shelves are always stocked... wrong. I feel they run out of things often which is inconvenient when shopping. I understand it happens for popular items but when it is frequently more than one item on my shopping list I think they need a new purchasing protocol. There are also always long lines for checkout. The self checkout seems to be the fastest but then you are not able to use your online coupons, such as cartwheel. It is great that they are busy but this is not something I've experienced at any other target. Lastly, today the cashier refused to bag my items. She waited until after I paid to say you do it and then proceeded to ring up the next customer. This got messy as I had several items and this left no space for the items purchased by the guy behind me. I always bring my own bags and target offers a discount for this so I do not understand why this happened. I think this location needs a training in customer service. Left my wallet in a cart after shopping. Got back in 3 mins and asked the attendant, who was collecting the carts in the lot, if he saw my wallet. He said no. When he left, I found my wallet in his basket and yes there was no money in there(100$). At least I got my wallet back. read more

The pharmacy here refuses to ring up anything besides your prescriptions. If you want to pick up your meds while your sick and pick up Zyrtec also, don't worry they will make you make you take the Zyrtec and wait in line with everyone else after you only buy your prescriptions from the pharmacy. I love target and always have had a great experience at target until I moved to this area and started coming to this target. They are always out of stock on a lot of items, even water. I hate writing a bad review but this Target is by far one of the worst I've been to. It is literally across the street from my apartment but I try to avoid it as much as I can. I have never been lucky with Targets and I continue doing so.I am always amazed how some people cant stop raving about Target and how they find great deals..Not me.I have always wondered if it was just me or Target in general is not what it used to be.
